Transport org. unit & position to another system

Hi,
I modified some org. units and positions in development and system did not ask for a transport request. How can I move my objects into test system ??

With tcode RE_RHMOVE30 you can create a request and transport them.
All you have to do is to choose the plan version, object types, objects. If you want all relations to be transported you can write A* in field evaluation path but if you want you can transport specific relations.
Select transport objects box.
In field task you can press f4 and then you can create a new request for the transport. After this press F8.
There will be a new screen. In this screen select the objects to be transported and then press F8.
After that you will release the request and transport it to the other system via using se09 and stms.

X,Y position of your system tray icon

In my app i have a functionality by which i can minimize my desktop app to systray..On minimizing my app, an icon is created in the system tray..now is this possible for me to get the x,y position of that icon located in the system tray..i want to display notification pop up above it..with a pointer pointing the system tray icon.

Once you get proper character's index, use the following code,

3D position using camera system - real time

Greetings!
I amtrying to use Labview to track an object in 3D space. I am using threehigh speed cameras which are connected via a framegrabber to my PC. Theidea is that I want to be able to throw an object, let’s say a ball, and haveLabview detect the motion and return real time stats on the object (location inxyz and the velocity vector). The object should be about the size of abird as this will be the final object tracked.
I amcurrently constrained as to where the cameras can be. They have to bepositioned in a horizontal line beside one another, but they can be turned toany angle I see fit.
Ihave some ideas of how to approach this but since this is my first visualproject I am a little unsure what the best method will be.
Oneidea I had was to have one camera centered facing strait forward and one cameraon either side if it turned 45 degrees toward the center line of vision. Thenthe idea would be to calculate the actual x-y-z position based on the geometryof the camera. However this method isless than flexable.
Anotheridea was to eliminate restrictions on the camera positions and have some sortof target system set up which would then "calibrate" the cameras foreach particular setup. I am thinkingof x and y rulers printed out and hung from the ceiling. Then, using the distances between x ruler markingscompared to y ruler markings to determine the camera angle and what the zcomponent should be. Maybe use a basketball to calibrate instead?
Solutions?Working code that takes jpegs from three saved camera files? Any help atall in 3D positioning would be much appreciated.

Chad,
Having all three cameras in a straight line is a poor choice for 3D work. Try putting one at (1,0,0), one at (0,1,0) and one at (0,0,1) or some similar distribution. Then the angle from the camera axis gives you a starting point for your 3D geometry.
Can you arrange that the object is always in the field of view of all three cameras? Do the cameras/lenses distort off-axis images?
If the object is a known size and has a simple geometric shape (sphere, cube, tetrahedron), you may be able to also use size of image to get an estimate of distance. Rotation of more complex shapes makes for a difficult calculation.
The rulers might be helpful if the object size is known. If the object size is unknown or variable, the challenge is much greater.

CMS Positioning in the system landscape

Hi mates,
Currently, we have an environment XI DEV(SLD&CMS), QA(SLD), PRD(SLD) and Soln Mgr.
CMS is on DEV box and uses the SLD on DEV. So far we've been on XI 3.0 SP17, everything has been working well.
We are in the process of upgrading to PI 7.0 SP12 and re-evaluating positioning of CMS. We have a minor concern that, we sometimes have to bounce our DEV XI which will make CMS unavailable.
Whats the best practice for CMS positioning when we have SLD on each XI environment? Placing it on Soln Mgr or QA XI? Our primary use of CMS is for XI transports. We are not really sure of the robustness & advanatages of CTS + and think its early to go for it.
Are there any documents talking abt positioning the CMS like we have for positioning SLD?

Hi Praveen,
The best pracitse is to have two SLDs one one DEV serving DEV and Q
Other one on Production.
Two SLDs should be synched when ever there is a change, SLD provides this option by manual download and import of deltas.. These changes are very rare, so can be part of basis activity.
Also the adavantage of placing SLD on Production because Production mostly is Highly Available and SLD inherits thatr. SLD is one of crucial components for Production XI runtime and is advisable to keep on High Available environment.
Also SLD is not a very big app to hinder the perfomance of production.
I did this in all my implementations and works perfect.

A good place to start with questions like this is by going trough the example programs that ship with LV, or are available on NI's web site. Find something that is close to what you need and then tweak it to make it exactly what you need.

Creating a new job and position prompts customizing request...

Dear All,
        I created a Job and Position through PP01 transaction. I am facing 2 issues while doing so...
1. System prompts for Customizing request when i try to save the new entry.
    What table/settings do i need to maintain for turning of the customizing request promptings.
2. Once i save the entries(after entering some dummy customizing requests), when i check the
    HRP1000 table for the new jobs and positions... The table entry shows 2 records for each Job and
    position. One entry with Plan version '.:' and another with active Plan version '1'.
    I need to have just one entry in HRP1000 table for each job/position with ACTIVE plan version.
   I checked T77S0 table, it has active plan version maintained against the PLOGI-PLOGI entry.
   Please let me know what table i need to maintain to handle my requirement.

Hi Nanda,
When you create new job or position in sandbox system it will not ask for the request number,since you generally dont transport the objects from sandbox to test system.
When you create a new job or position in development system, it will always ask for request number. This is because, in most of the cases, you need to transport the job and position to test system and then to production system.
Without a customizing request you wont be able to transport those changes to next system.

Team Foundation Server 2010 and System Center 2012 SP1 Operations Manager WorkItem Synchronization fail

We are currently implementing a Devops solution with SCOM 2012 SP1 and TFS 2010 SP1 and we would like to synchronize APM alerts with TFS and the Operational Issue WorkItem. However we are not
able to sync anything.

Here is our configuration :
TFS Platform
This a French platform with a project based on the Process Template SCRUM 1.0 alone in a Team Project collection. The Operational Issue import completed successfully. It’s possible to manipulate
Operational Issue for all of its states from TFS.
SCOM Platform
We followed the documentation at :

to configure SCOM Alert Attachment and Operation Manager Tfs Work Item Synchronization. Everything seems to be ok. All configurations succeed. We did not configure Intellitrace collector.
The problem occurs when we are trying to push an APM alert to TFS. When we assigned an alert to the Engineering nothing is synchronized in TFS. There is no error in the event viewer on the TFS
server. But, on the SCOM server we get 2 exceptions raised by Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Modules.Apm.TfsWISync.OMModules. We provide you the log of the SCOM Server in this mail.
Detailed exceptions :
Exception message are in French. In English it could be : OEF expected. The followed elements are not closed : Source, Link.

How to set the system, so that it validates the applicant information.
Suppose we have already entered the details of the applicant for a job and after a period of time he would again apply, so how can system will validate that we have already his information and shouldnt allow maintain any data.
Otherthan running a report and checking in the system, is there any work around for this, like having the email id which should be not used for more than one user........

Thanks for suggestions. In PB10 have you ever tried that will be working as a check...former employee button is for connecting to the employee details who have already left.
So here in this case suppose an employee have applied and we process him and then put him on hold.
So he is not shortlisted for the interview itself...after an year again he will apply for some other position that time system should stop us from maintaing his intial data..
I believe puts across my requirement clearly...

How to create a new system drive

I have a 4.5 yr old G5 that I want to keep for awhile, but I think its time to replace the original system drive. The second drive is a bigger and more recent drive that I want to reformat and install the latest OS X on it, then move to the top position as the system drive. I was thinking I would leave drive 2 in place and do the reformat and system install before moving it up to the top - will that work? Isn't there some concern about "master and slave" positions (or drive 0 and drive 1) when it comes to system drives? Can I reformat and install onto drive 2 and then simply move it up to the top position to then function as the system drive? Any better procedure? (I'm planning to install a new, larger drive in the lower slot after I create and move the new system drive.)

No need at all to move drives around (and it can be a pain to do so in the G5s anyway) - just install your new drive in the empty slot, install the system, and use System Preferences - Startup Disk to make that the boot drive. Master/slave doesn't apply to SATA systems.

Problem connecting ESP to IQ

We are currently attempting to load data from ESP into SAP Sybase IQ using
the SAP Sybase IQ Output Adapter but we are receiving the following error:

We have double-checked the directory and the file definitely exists and is
executable. We have also added the directory /home/cisco/sybase/IQ_Client/IQ-16_0/lib64
to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in sybase.sh. The IQ ODBC driver has been successfully
installed on the ESP system, so there should be no issue there either.
Do you know where we might be going wrong?

Thank you for the comprehensive response. I have followed each of your proposed steps and have included the outcome of each in turn below.
1. I can confirm that the unixODBC driver version is 2.3.1. It also looks like LD_LIBRARY_PATH has the correct unixODBC directory included. The IQ driver library is also included here.
2. By the looks of it, ESP can find unixODBC's driver manager without a problem.
3. I have run the requested command and everything appears to be in order except libdbtasks16_r.so. Could this be an issue?
4. I have checked the .odbc.ini file settings and these seem fine.[Exact ServerName, DatabaseName and Database File removed for security reasons]. I presume defining the IQ user ID and password in both this file and the service.xml file is inconsequential?
5. The service.xml file settings correctly match up with the .odbc.ini file settings (along with the configuration parameters detailed in the ESP ccl file).
Can you spot anything from the above that we might be missing?

Error in RBDMIDOC report run in E-REC, for data transfer from HR to EREC system

Hi,
We are on EHP5, EREC 605, SP0007. EREC is on a standalone, separate instance. HR in a separate instance.
We have created new org.units & positions, which we are trying to move from HR to EREC system for starting the EREC process.
In the report message type, gave input "HRMD_ABA", The output throws this error. (Screenshot attached)
Please provide your helps on the reasons for the error and corrective action to be taken.

If i want to create a requisition as a recruiter from EREC portal, for that newly created vacant positions, what needs to be done?
How to move that new vacant org.unit with position to EREC system ?
Should I run the org.unit with positions using PFAL (Insert/update mode) or use RBDMIDOC method ?

Very Urgent: TCODE IE02: attachment of equipment at a specified position

hi all
While maintaining equipment location using tcode IE02,
I need to maintain a check to ensure that if an equipment gets attached to a superior equipment at a particular position then the system should not allow for any other equipment at that particular position and also that equipment should not be attached to any other position.
eg if some equipment eq1 is attached to FE(front end) of some superior equipment SEQ1 then at FE no other equipment can be attached and eq1 should not be attached to any other superior equipment .
Also i found out the following with regards to position as per SAP.
"The system does not check the content of the field Position. Particularly in the case of functional locations, it does not check whether position labels are unique under a superior functional location."
Please let me know how this can be done. Do i need to implement any user exit. If yes then which one.

that is a warning message only ... But if you want to fix it then replace all 000 with 001 in your write statement. The position instead of 000 you have to give 001
write : /000(10)....instead of this
write : /1(10) or write : /(10) or write : /001(10) any thing you can use.
