Position of charging symbol since 7.0.4 update
Has the position of the charging symbol on the mini ipad changed from inside the green box to outside the box?
Not sure when it changed, but on my devices using iOS 7.0.4, the charge symbol is outside.

Why is my iPod Touch 4G switching the charging symbol?
My iPod touch 4g is about a year and 4 months old on the fourteenth of June. My original apple charger was breaking and it couldn't change the iPod normally because it kept flashing back and forth on the charging symbol. One minute it would saying charging and the next it wouldn't be charging but it's plugged in. So I got rid of that charger a few days ago. Now I have a charger that's new never has been used. It fits my iPod and everything but it is starting to do the same thing as before. Last night I noticed it kept switching every second to the charging icon to the regular battery icon while it was plugged in. I'm starting to think it is my iPod but this has never happened before until I started charging on my mothers laptop. I'm not allowed to charge on my betters Xbox 360 because it supposedly lags the games. Whatever. I just need to know why does it keep switching and not charging and how can I fix it so it can charge while its plugged in. Thank you!

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

8800 does not power on but shows the charging symbol! HELP!
Hello everyone,
I have been searching for days now across the web for a solution to a very bugging situation. A'las i am close to giving up. someone please try and help. So here is the problem: I recently bought a 8800 rim (branded for cingular/AT&T but UNLOCKED) from ebay powerseller with 100% rep. it was advertised in MINt condition.
It arrived two days later and seemed in great physical condition.
So i plug in the charger and let it charge for more than 8 hours. I try turning it on but to no avail. During the charge the screen goes dimly on and shows a battery with an electric bolt going through (I assume that means charging..).
It initially seemed to me as a battery problem. So i took it to a local store and borrowed one of their batteries for 8800 and the phone started working fine also made a call with my temporary T-mobile sim inserted. (although their battery was also on low charge)---
So i come home and with a new OEM 8800 battery. plugged it in and charged for like 4 hours and the screen goes on with the charging symbol but does not power on.
I have repeatedly searched through the WWW and came across wide variety of dilemmas but none were any helpful. I also tried installing the latest OS...which also spectacularly failed [got an error that ...loading failed during the mult-load seesion...or something like that. I followed several very well written guides [advising that the manager and OS be installed on PC and etc.].
SO I MAKE A DESPERATE REQUEST FOR HELP FROM ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP. WHAT'S THE DIAGNOSIS WITH THIS BB. IT WAS ABLE TO WORK WITH THE BORROWED BATTERY FROM A LOCAL STORE..EVEN MADE A CALL AND EVERYTHING...BUT WITH THE BATTERY THAT CAME WITH THE eBay PURCHASE AND THE THE BRAND NEW THAT I BOUGHT....IT DOES NOT POWER ON.
BESIDES HOW LONG SHOULD I BE CHARGING IF IT IS NEW OR IF THE PHONE HAS NOT BEEN IN USE FROM SOME TIME??

MirzaHow are you charging the BlackBerry? Do you have a wall charger or are you charging via USB cable from your PC? Its also possible that the charging circut in your BlackBerry is faulty. This would explain why a charged battery works while your uncharged battery is not.

After updating my Iphone 4s to os 7.1.1 from 7.1 over the air, my phone went into recovery mode. Yet when I try to restore it with Itunes on my windows 7 laptop it says the network connection has been reset. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network is active, or try again later. My phone has the itunes logo and charger symbol on it, as well as an arrow pointing at the Itunes logo. After holding the sleep button down or even doing the hard reset the same screen comes up on my phone regardless of whether it is plugged in or not to my computer. I have turned my computer off and on again. It is plugged in and charging as it's battery life is very short. I also reset my modem and the same error message pops up. The only option on my computer when my phone is plugged in is to restore it. My firewall also allows Itunes through it. I have literally tried everything I know being someone who knows very little about technology. I also do not want to hear about how the update worked for other people. My phone has been in recovery mode for 5 hours at least now so it will just make me more frustrated if a bunch of people post about how the update worked for them.
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

When I connect my ipod nano to my laptop it shows the icons on it and in the upper right hand corner it has a charging symbol on the battery symbol but my ipod still doesn't appear in my computer or itunes ... is there anything i can do to fix it ... everything on my laptop is up to date

Battery does not charge
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
iPhone or iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive
If you see the image below, charge the iPhone or iPod touch with USB power adapter for at least 15 minutes.
You should see this image when iPhone or iPod touch begins to charge:
If the screen still displays the low-battery icon, try turning the iPhone or iPod touch off and then on again.
If the issue persists, follow these troubleshooting steps.

Ipod wont charge with cable neither will the charge symbol show up ive tryed using a diffrent cable and a plugin-in charger but still no hope D:

Do you see a lightning bolt near the battery , Battery is charging (supposedly( IF not return to where you purchased it (also make sure that the charger is on) if still not charging with lighting bolt bring it back

Charging Lumia 800 since the 7.8 update
I have four ways to charge my Lumia 800:
the dedicated mini USB power outlet
the USB cable,
a car cigarette lighter
a Nokia small pin charger with mini USB adapter.
Since the 7.8 update (or so it seems) I cannot charge the phone with anything other than 1 or 2 unless my battery is at a certain level (less than 25% it seems).
If my phone is totally dead, 3 and 4 will do nothing other than show the red battery - they wont revive the phone. Yet if I need a top up, they seem to work
Is it possible the new firmware had altered the amount of charge the device needs and thus is ignoring other methods?
When charging with 3 and 4, the Diagnostics tell me I'm connected but it fluctuates between (Charging) and (Discharging), never getting more that 90 mA charge. 1 and 2 give a permanent (Charging), averaging 260mA.
My adapter charger has a 350mA output and has always worked before now.

When I plug in my iphone my charging symbol does not appear and my phone is not charging.
When I plug in my iphone 4 my charging symbol does not appear and my phone is not charging. Do I need a new battery? It is only a year old.
Can you try a different charger/USB lead? Also check the connector on the bottom of the iPhone for pocket fluff

HELP Strange charging symbol, ipod will not go
I have 30GB ipod, only one month old. It was going ok. But today the screen froze then when I plugged it into the PC it displayed a strange battery charge symbol. It is a battery with a lightening bolt covering the left end. The symbol has a black outline with a black bar on the left end under the lightening bolt. itunes will not recognize the ipod. Plus it also flashes the unhappy face symbol approx every minute. I tried resetting it but it did not fix it. Please help.

I can't get rid of the battery charged symbol
Even when I switch off my ipod, the battery charged symbol stays. When I have used the fully charged ipod for 30 minutes or so and switch it off, the next day the battery is already drained. I think that this is due to the battery symbol never going away. That must use up the battery?? Can someone help?
I have this same problem!! I posted the other day and no one has responded yet. I kept trying to reset mine and the "charged" symbol would not go away.. Then finally after re-setting about 20 times.. the battery showed almost all the way dead.. Then I re-charged it and it worked normal. Then I just charged it again and it's doing the same thing. Constantly shows the "charged" symbol in the right hand corner and when I shut it off it appears on the screen.. AHHHH!!!

Since i have beed updated to MAC OS Lion (10.8.2), Vertical line symbol (Unicode: U+007C, UTF-8: 7C) is not working anymore.
Hiting Shift + \ give me no any symbol.
Strangest is, that it is shown in Keyboards viewer, but does not outputs while typing.
I am using Apple Wireless Keyboard.Double check that this character has not been set as a trigger for something involving speech in system preferences/speech or dictation, etc.
