Position under Purchasing Org.'s Org Unit

Hi,
SRM :5.5, extended classic scenario
When I look at the SRM Org. structure, I see the Position (S) under Purchasing Org.'s Org Unit ?.
What is the use of creation of Position under Purchasing Org's Org Unit ?
Note:
I did HR Replication in the past. I used to see the Position under the Company Code's org. unit. So that when anyone in the SRM org. structure creates a SC, it follows the hierarchy for the approval.

Hi Pranav,
We should understand that we have role of "Operational purchaser" and Strategic purchaser" within the typical purchasing organization. These are the standard roles supplied by SAP.
If you think of some complex purchasing organization catering to the needs of group of companies then it may have more than 3-4 levels within (May be some additional customized roles). This will decide the approval limits, authorities, powers and roles.
Therefore, positions within the purchasing organization are created to group different roles and functions. Even I have positions in my purchasing org.
Assign points as applicable.

How can I get all positions under orgunit?
Per example: Org unit is 5000080, i like to know all position id's under this org unit.
I was trying to use PA0001 but if person is not assigned, it is not showing position.

use HRP1001.......TABLE in which enter data like..........
objtype = ' o'....for organization unit..........
objid = '5000080'
rsighn = 'B' ..which is top to bottom ....u can do reverse of it....bottom to top
sclass = 's' position........
u can see the position apply to all employee...........

OM - Report S_AHR_61016509 Vacant Positions doesn't pull the Org Unit data

Hello,
When I run the report - S_AHR_61016509 Vacant Positions, it pulls all the vacant positions. But it does not pull the information on which Org Unit the vacant position belongs to.
The end user would like to know which org unit the vacant position belongs to in the org structure, so if there is a new hire in that org unit, we can reuse the same position.
Please guide.

Hi,
On the output, click on print preview button (ShiftF6). On the next screen, click on change layout button (CtrlF8). Select the 4 hidden fields and transfer them to the left pane and click on copy.
You can then transport the output as excel too.
Iu2019d recommend you to save the layout by going to Settings>Layout>Saving. You would then get an option on the report selection screen to specify the layout and you could save your variant accordingly.

FM to Delete Position and Central person from org unit?

In SRM, we used tr-cd USERS_GEN to create position/CP using SU01 user.
In transaction PPOMA_BBP we can see Org unit assigned to position(S) and Central person(CP).
How to unassign or delete the Position and Central person from org unit?
Can you pls tell me any Func Module available.?

Can you tell me how to delete position from Org unit. I want to delete it using FM or program.
How to execute this program BUPA_TEST_DELETE?
I gave Business partner as input, but it does not delete...anything. pls guide how to exeute.
Any FM available.

Do let me know how can I bring back person to position relationships of a particular Org unit only. I had used transaction code RHINTE00 but it executes for the whole structure. Please guide me through this.

Actually this is not about one or two positions, there are 100 to 200 positions involved. This situation arises when I create a new org structure as well as new positions & transport it from development to production server and the relationship between old positions & their holders gets vanished in org structure in production server. Usually I use the transaction code RHINTE00 to bring back the same. But what i need is a transaction code by which I can bring back those relationships in batch input method.

Positions under Organizational Units.

Dear All,
I need to maintain a Ceiling for Organizational Units with respect to Positions.
For example :
There is a Org Unit - HR Dept , and it has a restricition of 25 positions.
So when i try to create a 26th position under this Org Unit ,it should show me "Error Message".
I have tried with Quota Planning, which is totally different concept from the above case.
Does SAP provides such option to restrict Positions under a OrgUnit..? If Yes, Pls Suggest me ...!!

Do not know of any way to limit the number of Positions per Organizational Unit. Not sure how or where you would even keep the numbers so that one org unit could have 25 positions and another org unit 40 and another org unit only 10.
What you want to control is the number of Persons - employees. They cost you money, positions do not. This is controlled by the number of Positions available - one Person per Position. If you have control of your Organizational Structure maintenance, then you control the number of Positions you create for each Organization.

How single item master org can relate to multiple operating Unit so that items defined at Master Org level can be accessed in other operating units ?

Item will be accessed in inventory organizations which you assigned the item to.
To access items from particular Operating Unit in Purchasing module
define Operating Unit Organization as a Inventory Organization as well.
Then choose this Organization as a Inventory Organization in Purchasing : Setup>Organizations>Financial Options.
In Order Management you choose an Operating Unit which items can be accessed.
Each item assign to Item Master Organization and to Operating Unit Organization and to required Inventory Organizations.
This works in 11i. I dont know how it is in R12.

Assign Chief Position to custom OM Object Business Unit

Hello
Is it recommended or doable to assign chief position via 012 relationship to the top most custom object Business Unit. Currently the chief position relationships is for Org Units. We would like to keep Chief Position to OU, also if possible to create similar 012 relationship to Business Unit. Since Business Unit will have one-to-many relationship with Regions, need is to identify chief position for the Business Unit for reporting purposes.
Evaluation path for Business Unit - Region - OU - Position - Person.

yes, in om structure it will be seen as top most OM object business unit (top most) region --> o.u. --> position --> person. Can I use 012 relationship of position assigned to top most business unit and keep 012 position relationship to OU.?
Narrowing down. Currently, chief position relationship is assigned to top OU that is tied to region 1:1 relationship. Now with the new top most custom object business unit has many regions. So need to identify top most region tied to business unit via 012 position.

HT201272 frustrated! I bought music off my iphone & now trying to get it on my computer. I see it under purchased and the files are on my computer but when I go to add folder or file to library, it doesn't recognize it or add the songs to my librarby. H

I don't understand this answer. What do you mean " your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have selected to sync."? The address book is created on the phone not in Itunes or any other program/service. When Itunes says backing up phone I have to assume it backs up everything on the phone. Most of what's on my phone does not come out of itunes. I download apps directly on the phone. When the software updates it does not bring those apps back. I have to go into the appstore and install them all over again. Itunes music library syncs with whatever is on the device your linked up to BUT the phone book just dissappears after you update the phone. There is no way to save it anywhere else.

You can remove just one saved User ID, Email Address, or Password on Firefox the same way you do it on IE.
Click on the form that you have your saved User ID, Email or Password for. Press the down arrow key to bring up the username for the form that corresponds to the password or ID or Email address you want to delete.
Highlight the username by pressing on the down arrow key again or just highlight what you want deleted and then press the "DEL" or "DELETE" button on your computer.
This should remove the one you want to delete.
I did this with a User ID on Firefox that I had accidentally spelled wrong. It works.

All my purchased app's are not shown under "Purchase" in the Mac App Store window. I have changed computer and need to re-install some of my purchased apps on my new computer but cannot find them. Please advice

Two things may be behind this. I see you have changed your computer. Did that entail you changing your ID? And there is also the possibility they have become hidden.

Final Cut Pro not under "Purchases"

I bought Final Cut Pro this summer and I want to move the app onto my new computer, but when I go in the App Store it does not show up under "Purchases." I already deleted FCP off my old computer so I'm stuck with nothing. i checked other posts but none of those seem to help. Does anyone know how I can redownload FCP without having to repurchase the app?

If you are logged into the App Store with the Apple ID and password that was used to purchase and the application does not appear on the Purchases page you need to contact the App Store.

Tapping the icloud arrow should get it to download to your bookshelf and it should then get 'downloaded' against it in Purchased instead of the arrow. See if any of the following fix it :
- close the iBooks app via the device's taskbar and then re-open the app and re-try downloading it : iOS: Force an app to close.
- soft-reset of the device : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
- log out and back into your account : select the Featured tab in the app, scroll to the bottom of it, tap on your id and log out, and then log back in
