Positioning Multiple pdfs on array of 6 large screens when each pdf is restarted

I am setting up an array of 6x 42” screens connected to a single windows computer using 2 x nVidia NVS 510 4 port graphics cards.
nView ver 141.00 is installed.
we are using Adobe reader X
Our challenge is how to run multiple pdf displays each starting automatically and being positioned with one pdf displayed
on each screen. We are initiating each display from a shortcut in the Start folder.
The main problem is the each pdf defaults to being located in the same position and screen as the previous one.
If I locate the pdfs on the required screen then close each one. The first pdf reopened opens in the position of the last one closed and subsequent pdfs open on the primary monitor.

I have subsequently noticed tyhat the problem is related to pdfs that are set to display in full screen mode

  • How can I get Full PDF file in temporary Internet Files folder when a PDF is opened in IE?

    when a URL displaying a PDF file(http://www.google.com/Test.pdf) in internet explorer is done, the PDF file is opened in Microsoft internet explorer itself. But I observe one thing. i.e., If the PDF file is created with acrobat distiller the the PDF file opened on IE is fully obtained in Temporary Internet files, and if the PDF file is created with other than acrobat distiller(i.e., created using other PDF tools), then if the same file, then only a part of PDF(10KB-50KB) is obtained in Temporary internet files folder, and remaining is obtained by Acrxxxx.tmp in C:\Documents and Settings\Current UserName\Local Settings\temp folder. why this is happening?
    consider the total size of file as 1.5MB.
    In my PC, I had Adobe reader 8.1 and IE6.

    Yes, I was seeing the difference between PDFs that are linearized. I had unchecked that option, still I can't get the Full PDF in temporary Internet files folder.
    Are there any more settings to be changed.
    Why only for some files this is happening, What was the difference b/w the files which are fully obtained in temporary internet files folder and that are of not fully obtained.

  • Pdf in Safari: Get a blank screen when I click on a PDF

    [Inventory]
    Safari 5.0.5
    Acrobat Pro 9.4.4 up-to-date
    Acrobat Reader 10.0.3 up-to-date
    iOS 10.6.7
    [Problem]
    When I surf the internet using the Safari browser And I click on a link that is a PDF, I get a blank screen.  The PDF does not render in the new Safari window.  What happened?

    Hay there
    I JUST FIXED THIS PROBLEM ON MY OWN COMPUTER
    --YIPPEE--
    I hope that this will help all those safari user that have been resisting the urge to put a fist through the screen like i was.
    1) there is a hidden 'library' folder in the "home" (looks like the little house) account -- you have to unhide it and make your change there
    2) i found it by doing a search for "pdf plugin" in the search area (by that litte mignifying glass icon thing)
    3) here is the path.     home/library/internet plugins/
    4) once you are in this folder you have to swap out all the old crap that's there for the new/updated stuff
    this is were you made sure your plugin are correct
    HINT: i copied all the pdf related plugins from the other "library" (the ones that were recent installs) into this one
    I then restarted safari and it was cool beans

    I have a MacBook Pro and upgraded to Adobe Reader 11.0.06.  Now when I attempt to download a pdf from the internet, the Reader screen opens but the text portion of the screen is black.  I can open pdf file i have previously saved.

    Another possibility to to use the Schubert PDF plug in. It has been around for years and works great.

    I do not know if it will work in Lion but it does work in Snow Leopard.

  • Multiple subforms, only 1 of which will load when the PDF is opened.

    I am new to LIvecycle Designer, and have had no problems so far that I could not resolve via Google or trial and error.  Now I have an issue for which I cannot find an answer.
    I have created a fillable form, 2 pages, that will handle input of various numeric values.  In an effort to keep the size down, on each page I have a subform that will hold some of the calculations, with the total captured on the main page.  That portion works fine--capturing the calculations from the subforms on the main page.  The problem comes in opening the subforms.  I created a button for each subform, that when clicked will make the subform visible.  Each subform has a close button to make invisible.  By default each subfom is set as hidden.  The problem is, when I open the file, I can only open one subform.  If I open then close the subform on the first page then I cannot open the subform on the second page (I can click the button but nothing happens).  If I reopen the file, and open and close the subform on the second page, then I cannot open the subform on the first page.  It seems there is some conflict in the background that causes the first form opened to "deactivate" the second form, for lack of a better term.  I used the action builder to handle the open and close operations.
    I receive no error message, and there is no conflict in names between subforms or buttons.  I even tried a test form with 3 subforms to see if maybe I messed up in my first form, but I am seeing the same result.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Are all your subforms flowed layout, including the top one and do they allow page break within content?
    If you can add a link to you form (maybe google docs or similar) then we can have a look.
    Regards

  • White Screen when opening PDF from within a website program

    I have previously been able to use the marketing products associated with http://greenhousebhgre.com   A link takes me to
    http://maryorfali.betteragents.com/admin/marketingmaterials/# and from them I have been able to update my marketing flyers by selecting Create/Edit.  Now I just get a white screen.  These flyers can be saved as PDFs and I am able to open them from outside the website.

    So you are editing your flyers online at that website?  If so, Adobe Reader is not involved in any way; Adobe Reader cannot create or edit PDF documents.
    My suggestion: try another browser.  If that does not help, contact the people who maintain that website.

  • Get wierd screen when opening PDF file in Acrobat/Reader 9.5.2

    Here's the screen I now get when trying to open a Captivate-generated PDF in either Acrobat or Reader 9.5.2. Any thoughts?

    Hi Ronpref,
    I created a Captivated PDF file of size ~15 MB (created with Adobe Captivate 5.5) and opened it with Acrobat 9.5.2. I did not see any issue opening this file, all the contents were seen properly. As soon as I launched this PDF, it asked me to install Adobe Flash. Once installed, this PDF file was opened successfully and I could move forward/back within that captivate movie.
    You can check if this same issue is present on other machine with Acrobat 9.5.2. If not, then there are chances that this issue is specific to your machine.
    Alternatively, as I suggested earlier, try using Reader XI.
    Thanks.

  • I get blank screens when printing PDFs

    For three weeks (ever since I upgraded from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10), my attempts to open PDF files in Safari fail, while FF:Mac opens them as usual.
    Here's an example: <http://www.warrencampdesign.com/bakerybible/images/gems/july8.top.pdf>.
    In Safari, after double-clicking the PDF file, a window opens asking me (every time) to select Reader or Acrobat. Alas, I then find that Adobe Reader, in my applications folder, is greyed out, preventing it from being recognized.
    Even after I already open Reader, Safari brings up the blank white window.
    I've reset Safari but that hasn't corrected this.
    Anyone have this difficulty? If so, have you found the fix?
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    You're welcome Warren. Glad to see the problem was "solved" from the suggestion provided.
    How these preference settings get changed is a mystery to me. Another one is the Flash settings for QuickTime. Triggers quite a few queries in this forum about the "Quicktime ?".

  • Get Junk on Screen when Opening PDF

    When I open a PDF in the browser window, it is just junk.

  • Safari shows only a black screen when a pdf file is opened in Safari

    When I open a pdf in Safari, only a completely black screen shows.  Does anyone know how to change settings or some other solution to resolve this issue so that pdf's open correctly?

    Back up all data.
    Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
    If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • .pdf files appear as a gray screen

    .pdf files appear as a gray screen when downloading from a website link since upgrading to Snow Leopard. They (pdf files) are fine when received and opened from an email sent to us.  Any ideas on how to fix it?

    First I Reset Safari, then close Safari then navigate to:
    Home/Library/Preferences and look for and then remove
    com.apple.Safari.plist
    com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
    Also:
    Home/Library/Safari/ folder and remove the following two files:
    history.plist
    lastsession.plist
    And
    Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/ and remove the contents of that folder.
    (These are just  webhistory files and are not required for Safari to run. However, similar to preference files, problems can arise if they have become corrupt.)
    Locate the cookies.plist file that's located in the Home/Library/Cookies/ folder and remove it.
    They will all be recreated next time you launch Safari.

  • Inconsistent type weight when printing pdf (acrobat X)?

    I am having trouble getting type type in my pdf document to appear consistent when printing to the office printer.
    - the file is originally a ID CS6 document
    - I export to press quality
    - the typeface in question is an open type font
    - the pdf looks right on screen
    - when the pdf is printed random lines of text appear to be a lighter weight.
    Any suggestions? is this an export setting, a font issue, or a printer issue??? any advice much appreciated!

    If you go the attached web page:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/reader/
    (http://www.adobe.com/support/reader/) ,  you
    will see "download an older version" underneath
    the Download Adobe reader.
    If you click in this link (download an older version), you
    can pick from version 8 and 9.
    Since erasing version 10 and downloading version 9.4,
    my problem has gone away completely.
    As with you, I consider this a major problem. It certainly added
    a lot of grief to my life when I could not trust my printer
    output at all.
    Hope this helps.

  • Copying Multiple Arrays into One Large Array

    I'm currently trying to copy multiple character arrays into one larger character array in a method that prints data gathered from a database. Here is my code:
    private static void printData(String[] data){
            try {
                int totalLengthOfAllStrings = 0;
                for(int i = 0; i < data.length; i++) {
                    data[i] += '\n';
                    totalLengthOfAllStrings += data.length();
    int runningLength = 0;
    char[] printArray = new char[totalLengthOfAllStrings];
    for(int j = 0; j < data.length; j++) {
    char[] tempArray = data[j].toCharArray();
    runningLength += tempArray.length;
    System.arraycopy(tempArray, 0, printArray, runningLength - 1, tempArray.length);
    DocFlavor df = DocFlavor.CHAR_ARRAY.TEXT_PLAIN;
    Doc printDoc = new SimpleDoc(printArray, df, null);
    PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
    aset.add(new Copies(1));
    aset.add(MediaSize.NA.LETTER);
    aset.add(Sides.DUPLEX);
    PrintService[] services = PrintServiceLookup.lookupPrintServices(df, aset);
    if (services.length > 0) {
    DocPrintJob job = services[0].createPrintJob();
    try {
    job.print(printDoc, aset);
    System.out.println("Print successful!");
    catch (PrintException pe) {
    catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    I keep getting an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException and for the life of me I can't figure out why.
    Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks!
    -Matt

    I think your problem lies with the second for loop:
    for(int j = 0; j < data.length; j++)  {
        char[] tempArray = data[j].toCharArray();
        runningLength += tempArray.length;
        System.arraycopy(tempArray, 0, printArray, runningLength - 1, tempArray.length);
    }If I am not wrong, you should swap the sequence of the runningLength and System.arraycopy statements, and also move the minus 1 from arraycopy statement to the runningLength statement. The result would look like this:
    for(int j = 0; j < data.length; j++)  {
        char[] tempArray = data[j].toCharArray();
        System.arraycopy(tempArray, 0, printArray, runningLength, tempArray.length);    // swapped and removed the -1
        runningLength += tempArray.length - 1;    // swapped and appended the -1
    }The main reason for these changes is because when j == data.length - 1, the value of runningLength would have already exceeded the size of printArray. Therefore, swapping the position would be able to overcome this problem.

  • In Acrobat Professional 8, what is the best way to insert/combine multiple pdf's together in a large

    In Acrobat Professional 8, what is the best way to insert/combine multiple pdf's together in a large volume?
    We have 300 pdf reports and need to insert a 2 page cover page infront of each report. Not sure if Batch processing is best???
    Thanks for any tips.

    Probably each cover page is different too. I would probably just bite the bullet and do each individually. I would create the 2 cover pages in WORD or other word processor and print to cover.pdf. Then open a PDF and Pages>Insert Pages or the cover.pdf to the front of the open PDF and save as to the current PDF. Then repeat 299 times. Each time you would make the appropriate change to the DOC file and print a new cover.pdf file (you might want to turn off open in Acrobat for this processing in the printer properties to save time). Probably a good idea to keep a list of the files to check off what has been done (you can generate a list in DOS by Start>cmd, change the directory to your location [cd path], and do "dir >>list.txt". That will give you a list to use.). There may be an easier way, but by the time you get it figured out you might be done this way.
