Positions of windows getting changed for different login languages.

Hi,
I have to create a script having original language EN and translated to HE (hebrew) for cheque printing.
I have created the layout having the main window and 8 other variable windows.
When I am executing the script in EN the alignment is coming ok.. but whenever I am printing through HE, the alignment changes and it seems the windows are getting aligned from right to left.
Is there any way possible to correct this, or can we dynamically change the position of the windows when we login through the different login languages.

Hi Venkataganesh,
The problem is that I need to create the same form for both EN (as the original key) and HE (as a translation) due to the programming standards we follow.
This is also a functional requirement of the development.
Though I know that this is difficult to implement, I myself might have found out the way to rectify the changes in window position.
You can create the form in EN as usual, but when you login through HE you need to do the following changes just before the print.
Customise local layout (Alt + F12) --> Charecter Set --> Hebrew (Right Justified)
Though I must say that since I do not have a printer configured to my ODC I have never really tested this but the print preview seems to come correct.
Would definitely like to know your comments on the above.

   I could not find my original post to add this to.
   I have discovered that CONTROL-Command-O will open a pre-positioned window in place while closing its parent. (I think it was Option-Command-O previously.) If you are working in folders within folders, you will need to move the topmost window slightly to the side to allow the first level to open in pre-positioned place.
   Has anyone discovered the procedure to go back up to the top level -- with key strokes or without -- while keeping the original position of the higher up window?

Not sure you can get there from here
Double-clicking will open an enclosed Folder in place, in step fashion....all you need to do to move back is to either click 'Back' in the menu bar of that window.
Double-click on the parent folder in the icon row along the bottom of that window to move back to it or any higher level folder to the left.
If you hold the command key and click once on the icon in the top center of that window's upper margin, you will see a vertical list of any parent folders in order (top most at the bottom)...click on one to move to it.
As you can see, 'back' here is thus defined at least three ways: back, left & down. While it can be distracting to some people who may prefer what at least appears to be a more structured environment, the goal is to provide choices so that the OS appears to provide flexibility rather than being hardwired/inflexible. Don't let the number of choices confuse you - find a style that suits your flow and be happy.
If you want to peer into some of the thinking behind Apple software, you would do well to invest time (and I don't mean just a quick glance) in reading the 'Apple Human Interface Guidelines' at this link...

Font and font color are getting changed for SAP R/3 report in portal

Hai,
We are using ITS 6.2 patch 26 and EP 6.0.
When i run a SAP R/3 4.6C report in ITS 6.2, the report content are shown in Courier New font with blue color.
When i run the same report from portal, the report content are shown in Arial font with blackish blue color.
Can anyone tell why in portal the font attributes are getting changed and how to have the same font attributes in portal also.

Please go to System Administration -> Portal Display -> Themes.
You can change the font type , color and size from here and have to properly assign it to the Desktop for the users for which these font should be displayed .

Howto change country different than language?

There is Region which has "country (language)" in "language & text" in "system preferences".
After installing SL it was "Finland (English)".
I fiddled it a bit and now I can't change it back.
Is it possible to have different country & language in Region?
How?

I had in System Preferences in Language & Text in Formats, Region set as "Finland (English)".
I want to use English as my OS's language, but have Dates, Times & Numbers having the notation we use in Finland, but with English language.

So it has mixed languages.

You cannot merge apple id's. remember that before creating any new ones in the future.
You have two choices. Live with it, or repurchase the apps under the id you intend to keep using.

Keep getting prompted for different iTunes accounts

When attempting to update the apps on my 4S, iTunes alternately asks me for the password for two different iTunes accounts: the original one I created for my boyfriend's iPod, then the one I set up for use with my iPhone. How can I keep it from doing this?
Now, I will admit, I have no idea how the phone was set up at the Apple store. I was getting irritable standing in line and dealing with AT&T so my boyfriend finished the purchasing and set up of the phone with the associate. I have reason to believe that the original set up was with his Apple ID, but I thought I seperated our accounts and changed everything (including creating my own Apple ID/iTunes account). I can always download apps under the iTunes account I created. But, when I use the App Store app to update my apps, sometimes I prompted to enter the password for my boyfriend's iTunes account andother times I have to enter the password for mine.
Wassup with that?

You have aps from both your accounts on the iPhone.
Delete the apps purchased on your boyfriends account from your iPhone.

I believe that your solution would be to configure a different tacacs server group with the new server in the new group and to use the new group to authenticate for your vty. The config might look something like this:
aaa group server tacacs+ vty_TAC
server 10.50.60.70
aaa authentication login vtymethod group vty_TAC enable
tacacs-server host 10.50.60.70 key ********
I have configured this type of thing and it worked well. When I configured it I explicitly configured (and named) two different TACACS server groups and referenced specific server groups for each authentication method. I am not clear whether it works to keep the default group tacacs+ and use it for your normal authentication or whether you may need to configure a non-default group for it.
Give it a try and let us know what happens.

SQL Loader and control file changes for different users

In the front end of my application I can select a data file and a control file, and load data to the table mentioned in .ctl file. Every user who logs in uses the same .ctl file and so loads onto the same table. Now I want the user to load data onto the table in his own schema. I can get the username of the user currently logged in and i want to insert it into that username.table. So can i copy the contents of the .ctl file into a variable, modify it into username.table in that string and pass that variable as a parameter to the sqlldr command instead of the .ctl file.
Or is there a better way how I can modify the same control file everytime to change tablename to username.tablename in .ctl file and pass to sqlldr to load data to table in local user schema table.

Thanks for the reply .. user do have their user credentials but only for the application ... but all users use a common loader and control file once they log into the application. So irrespective of which user is logged in he selects the same control file and loads to the same table mentioned in the control file .. i instead want user to be able to load to the table in control file but into his schema like username.tablename instead of just the tablename mentioned in .ctl file.

If I buy a MBP from the UK apple store, will I be able to get an invoice showing details of someone on a different country?
I have educational discount (~20%) if I buy my MBP from UK, and my father would save some money if he could get an invoice on his name /address ( he is in Greece).
Will this work for either Online or in-store purchases?

I'm also 100% sure; Apple will not issue an invoice in someone else's name in another country. In addition, purchasing a Mac through the education discount for someone else is a violation of the terms of the program. The terms clearly state (emphasis mine):
In order to be entitled to benefit from the education pricing on the Apple Store for Education you must be either a registered student and possess a valid student I.D. or accepted into an educational establishment or you must be engaged as a teacher or lecturer at an education institution and must require the Product for your own use or for your classes or for research.
You cannot purchase a Mac with the education discount and then give it to your father or anyone else.

Page setup changes for different users

We had recently experienced page formatting changes all of a sudden. These reports were not modified nor changed but all of a sudden when users run the reports or if a developer open it in design the page setup was changed from landscape to portrait. Also, for the same object if another developer open it, it is fine for that one person.
Is there a individual setting or local setting for page setup?

after you have changed the print setting in the .rpt itself and if you are still experiencing the same behaviour:
1) first, try to see if just the .rpt itself is changing...i.e. send the report with saved data to someone that is experiencing the issue that also has crystal reports installed. if it is still happening in the crystal reports designer itself, then it is an issue for this forum.
2) if it is only happening in the web application, then you will want to repost to the appropriate sdk forum.

Variables are not getting changed for rs_pres_plan report

I'm trying to use the RS_prec_plan report for broadcasting but my variables which I'm selecting in as a varaint in workbook is not getting replaced.
Its taking from the saved view of the workbook.I read note 1154928 which explains the same issue but no luck any help would be appreciated.

Why conversion Rate gets changed for a reversal journal?

Hello,
After the Reversal Program run, the reversal journals has created with wrong Currency Conversion Rates instead of same conversion rate as that of Entered journal.
We have around 4 JVs each in Dec-11/Jan-12.
Eg:
In Dec-2011 4 JVs were created and the conversion rate was .99345 (USD-AUD)
and in Jan-2012 4 reversal JVs were created and the conversion rate was 1.01565
The set up for the Reversal Journals for Category "Accruals" is set as "No Default"
The reversal journals are suppose to be get created with the same conversion rate as that of original JV but it has picked up the conversion rate of the period when we did the reverse i.e of Jan-12.
let me know what else could be the issues and any resolutions for this?

FCP7 wants Motion moved when for different logins

For some reason, if I try to launch Final Cut Pro 7 when logged in as another user, it will not start. I get an error message saying that it's installed in the same directory as a previous version of Motion and that I need to move Motion.app
I don't have this problem when logged into my own account. Addiditionally, I installed Motion 5 without problems and the FCP X installation moved all FCStudio apps to an isolated folder.
Any ideas folks?

could it be a HA setting that was missed?

Sales Employee does not change for different user on subsequent document

This is probably a simple solution, but I can't find the answer. I'm running version 2007A.
I create a PO where my name is in the buyer field. When the GRPO is done by one of my warehouse guys, my name is still referenced in the buyer field. How can I make it so that the name of the person creating the GRPO is in the buyer field? Or is there another way to track who receives goods in?

Movement Type 261 - Different G/L account to get debited for same Movement

Hi Friends,
I need your help to solve the following issue
We are in the process of implementing ECC 6.00. One of our client requirement is for Movement type 261 , different consumption account to get debited for different types of issues. i.e. incase of MT 261 issue for maintenance order the consumption account should hit to Maintenance G/L and incase of MT 261 issue for production order different consumption account to get debited.
I think One way to meet this requirement is by creating new Movement type by copying MT261 and assigning new Account Grouping to that MT and assigning GL in GBB against the new account grouping.
I would like to know is there any other way to meet this requirement in SAP.
Request you earliest advise on this issue as we are in the stage of final integration test
