Positions table in ldb PCH

hi experts,
Is there any table(only table) where can i take positions IDs related to the given org unit. For example when i give org unit ID system displays me all positions under this org unit.

Hi,
You can use Ad HoC Query concept (T Code - S_PH0_48000513)
Path: Easy Access --> Information Systems --> Human Resources --> Reporting Tools --> Ad Hoc Query
Select 'Field Group' as IT0001 - Organizational Assignment
Selection as "Org Unit"
Output as "Position"
Input your org unit (right side of the screen)
Click on 'Hit List'
You can see the existing positions under the given Org Unit
Revert if you have any further querie..!

Changes in Standard RHBUCH00_LSO with LDB PCH

Hi All,
Greetings!!
I have to make changes in RHBUCH00_LSO which uses LDB PCH . The changes are to display Applicanr also with Participant also . The Standard report at selection screen take only one object type (P Participant ) or (AP Applicnat) .
As it uses LDB making changes in it is difficult .
I am trying yo use FM LDB_PROCESS to call again LDB for AP .
Please throw some light on the use of FM LDB_PROCESS or is some other alternative is available .

1. I don't we can directly do as per ur requirement.
2. Bcos No-Intervals cannot be modified using Loop at screen.
3. Another option is to copy the standard Ldb and use it.

'Hierarchy Based Login' and 'Direct Reports' field in Dim - Position table

Hello -
I am trying to build a "My Team's" report, which basically shows the logged in Managers ( and his subordinates) revenues rolled up by default. Then the manager needs to drilldown on his name and see revenues grouped by his direct reports. I am using OBIEE 10G. In the out of the box RPD, there are two fields in the BMM layer called 'Hierarchy Based Login' and 'Direct Reports'.
1. The 'Hierarchy based Login' field uses the INDEXCOL method to get relevant column from the W_POSITION_DH table based on the the Logged in users hierarchy level (the hierarchy level is stored in a session variable (HIER_LEVEL). This session variable works fine and i have tested the SQL)
2. The 'Direct Reports' is using the same INDEXCOL method, just that it uses the formula HIER_LEVEL - 1. This works fine as well.
The issue i am facing is neither of these out-of-the-box fields are assigned to the Position dimension (the position dimension also exists OOTB).
So basically, i am able to create a manager and his direct subordinate report, but without any drill functionality.
I am trying to get the report to drill all the way down to the bottom most level of the heirarchy.
Any help to get this working is much appreciated

What i meant was neither of these out-of-the box fields are assigned to a Dimension Hierarchy ( there is a hierarchy called 'Position' that already exists out-of-the box). Other fields in the 'Dim-Position' table are assigned to a level in this position hierarchy, except these two. I guess what i am trying to achieve is to dynamically assign the hierarchy level based on the users Hierachy level in W_POSITION_DH table.

Renaming the Selection Text of LDB PCH

Can anyone suggest a way to Rename the Standard Selection Screen Variable Name ( Selection Text in a Standard Selection Screen ) of a LDB ( PCH )to a custom one ?
Eg. There is a need to change the Object ID ( PCHOBJID - Selection Text ) to " Org. Unit " .

Hi,
You can do that, suppress that field whatever you are getting from the standard LDB and define a selection field in your custom program witht he same name and use your own selection text and check,

Does DW let you position tables by dragging?

Can anyone please help? The one feature of iWeb I like is:
when creating a simple page you can drag an image and a text box
around the screen, place them with a click and they stay there. For
example a little text box filled with text and then an image can be
moved around the screen, next to each other, near each other, and
they stay placed where you want them. They don't care that you
haven't created cells for them to live in. Am I wrong that with
Dreamweaver I can't simply place said text box (a table) next to
the photo (inside another table) without nesting everything? If I
try to place the photo next to the text (inside tables) the photo
table moves to the next line beneath the text table. In DW I can
get around this by putting text in one cell and putting the image
in another, but it's rigid and limits things like text wraparound
the image, etc. The iWeb method of just draggin and placing is so
elegant. Does this exist in dreamweaver? Thank you.

HTML doesn't allow you to position tables by dragging,
therefore DW doesn't
either. If you want to position tables, you have to use CSS
positioning on
the table, or place the tables into some container that can
be positioned,
or adjust the table's container's margins/padding to place it
where you
want..

Status vector & Status overlap field in LDB PCH

Any one pls explain structure paramters in the selection screen of logical database PCH.ie fileds like status vector, status overlap, technical depth,recursion check etc

These fields are related to the parameter for structure
evalution which is added to the standard selection screen. This enables structure evaluations via evaluation paths.
This LDB is related to Planning and Organization area
better a HR guy can explain indepth about these fields.
related table for these structure is PLOG in Planning and Organization .
See the data in that table and corelate to these fields.

Reading Locked records from HR table using LDB PNP

Hi,
I am trying to read the table pa0168 using LDB PNP.
But the problem is that get pernr staement does not retrieve locked records i.e where PA0168-sprps eq "X'.
Can anybody help me with this.
I have to use LDB so i don't want a solution of writing a select * for the pa0168 table.
hence i have to use get pernr statement but it should also retrieve locked records.
how can i achieve that.? please help

In Human Resources (HR), the following logical databases can be used as a data source for HR InfoSets:
PNP (PNPCE)
PAP
PCH
By selecting a logical database, you determine the HR data that can be reported on using an InfoSet.
PCH
This logical database generally enables you to report on all HR infotypes. However, you are advised not to use this logical database unless you want to report on Personnel Planning data.
The InfoSet is based on logical database PCH
Provided that object selection is switched on, InfoSets based on this database enable you to use InfoSet Query to select objects of one object type, such as business events, qualifications, and positions. You can use all of the fields of infotypes allowed for the object in question, and all of the object types and their allowed infotypes that can be related with the selected object type, as selection criteria and for output.
When you create an InfoSet, you determine the object type that you can select using an InfoSet. The generated InfoSet can only be used to select this particular object type. If you want to create reports for business events, qualifications, or positions, for example, you must create three separate InfoSets. This means the reports can only be executed separately.
If you do not select an object type when you create the InfoSet, you can only use the InfoSet for InfoSet Query if object selection has been switched off.

Is there any code example for LDB PCH

I always write report using logical database 'PNP' and 'PNPCE', which make it very easy to have code for HR master data.
The 'PCH' is for OM data, is there any method, like using "PNP", can make program for OM easier?

is there any documentation for structure STRUC of log. database PCH?

Not able to get any detailed documentation on the structure. But from my experience of using this structure for quite a while now, i am giving you a brief explanation on the important fields,
SEQNR     -   This will be a unique number for each Org. Object
LEVEL      -   This will provide the level of Org. Objid in the tree structure of the organization
OTYPE     -   Object Type Of the Related Object
PDOWN   -    PDOWN stands for Obtect Type Down, which actually hold the sequence number (SEQNR) of the immd. downward Org Object for Botton Down evaluation ath
PNEXT     -    PNEXT stands for Object type Next, if there are multiple Org. Objects in the same level it will hold the sequence (SEQNR) of the next Org. Object which was retrieved based on the evaluation path
PUP-        - PUP stands for Pointer Up which mean it will hold the Sequence number (SEQNR) of the Org. Object parent to the current Org. Object for Top Down Evaluation path
PPREV     - PPREV Stands for Pointer Previous. if there are multiple Org. Objects in the same level it will hold the sequence (SEQNR) of the previous Org. Object which was retrieved based on the evaluation path
May be if you can execute the FM "RH_STRUC_GET" for a Particualr Object ID and Evaluation path, it will return a table of STRUC type which can show more information on the points mentioned before.
Please let me know if you need more information regarding anyother fields.

Position table in different browsers is not correct

Hi,
Again I have a problem with making my website compatible with
IE7 & Firefox. I have created a gallery page with a table
containing thumbnail photos. It looks as it should in Firefox but
when viewed in IE7 its not in the centre.

Changes made to your code:
-Removed table height (you could keep it, but its an invalid
attribute and
should not be used. The table height will be as much as the
cells need. The
table does not hold content, it has cells which hold content
and hence the
height should be for the cell)
-Added height="242" for the first cell in the second row of
images. Since
all cells in that row will have the same height, so defining
it for one cell
should make sure that other cells expand to that height as
well.
- Removed <div align="center"> and the closing
</div> tags for the cells in
the first row of images. Its not needed as the table cell
align="center" and
valign="bottom" is adequate to align the images. The div is
an additional
container which is not needed here.
Effectively, if you just add the height="242" for one of the
cells in the
second row of images, that should do what you need. Other
changes are more
of cleaning the code.
I would again urge that you should change the names of the
files and folders
so they do not have any spaces within the name. If you do not
do this, there
will be problems at some point in time.
Other changes as I explained in the previous code would be
useful if you
wish to do that.
