Possibility for respondees to add an attachment

How can I create a button on a form with which my respondees can add for example a CV?

If it has to work with Reader, the only possibility for it to be initated by a button is if you're able to Reader-enable the form with LiveCycle Reader Extensions by adding the corresponding usage right. Reader users are able to manually attach files using the Attach File commenting tool, but this can't be initiated with a button press. What I've done is include a button that when pressed provides instructions for using this tool. Seems to work well. For this to work with Reader prior to version 11, the document has to be Reader-enabled to allow commenting.

    Is it possible for Apple to add "key" to the view options selection?

    DJ1970,  Unfortunately no.  iTunes does not have the key in the database.
    People who want to know the key of a song can use (unless they already have perfect pitch!) key detection software such as Mixmeister.
    Once you know the key, iTunes does not even have a field to store it, although you could stick it into Comments or some other unused text field such as Grouping.  These fields are indeed viewable in iTunes.

  • Can you, or would it be possible for Firefox to add a "watch next" or "next up" kind of thing to streaming video to TV?

    I LOVE the app/browser as it lets me watch ANY video (basically) through my Roku. I gave it 5 stars in the Play Store and all, but the ONLY suggestion in which I think could enhance it is if it were possible to have videos you could put in waiting, instead of having to go through the process of completely selecting a new video. I don't know if it is possible, or in the works, etc. But it would be great to get an answer to this. Thanks, Josh McLean.

  • Is it possible for me to add on storage to my iPad mini?

    I just got an iPad Mini 16gb and I am already running out of room. Is there a way that I can add storage so I can continue making it my own? Thanks.

    No.  The amount of space on your device is fixed when you buy it.  The only exception is Music, where if you choose to subscribe to iTunes Match, your music library will be availble to download an play on your device any time you have an internet connection without needing to store it all on your device.
    If you want to save space, you'll have to use iTunes to sync some of your data off your device to make room for other data.  You can also import your photos and videos to your computer and delete them from your camera roll to save space (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083).

  • Is it possible for me to script Illustrator to save as PDF and attach to email ?

    Hi,
    I am after a script to save my current working file as PDF (with some settings) and then bring up a blank outlook email with that file attached ?
    I do a lot of artwork and have to get it approved, I am getting bored of manually saving to PDF then going to find the file and then clicking send to > mail recipient etc etc
    You know the drill guys.
    So would it be possible for me to just run a script that does all that for me ready to insert the persons name or even add the persons name within the script ?
    thanks

    Well, as the kids' paper-crafts book I used to try to put together which frustrated the hell out of me, mockingly read on the bottom of the instructions: "ТЕРПЕНИЕ И ТРУД ВСЕ ПЕРЕТРУТ"
    That is, patience and perseverance will overcome all.
    To use the below, you've gotta get Autohotkey_L, I believe, and it's not that hard to use.. but it takes some time to learn the various things if you want to write your own ones like this:
    {{YOUR_OWN_HOTKEY_HERE}}::
      MyTempFile = C:\Users\{{YOUR_USER_NAME}}\last_proof_sent.txt
      Run {{YOUR_JSX_SCRIPT}}.jsx                                                  ;Save the PDF proof - the script needs to write a temp text file in a place somewhere, which writes the full name of your saved PDF!
                                                                                                              ; I called my temp text file "last_proof_sent.txt"
      CurrentDateTime := A_Now                                                        ;get current time

      While(CurrentDateTime > FileTime and TimeCounter < 1000)                    ;waiting period to see if temp text file has updated since start of this script

      FileGetTime, FileTime, %MyTempFile%                                                      ; each time get the modification date of the temp text file
      If(CurrentDateTime < FileTime){
      FileRead, MyPDFFileName, %MyTempFile%                                                  ;read the contents of temp file for location of PDF file path (It was written there by your JSX script, hopefully)

    You can put two 2gb RAM sticks in your model 2,1 but it can only use 3,3gb. This is a hardware limitation and cannot be changed.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_GB_barrier
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/faq/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-3-g b-memory-limitation-details.html
    OWC tests have found that there is a slight speed increase with having two 2gb sticks in rather than one 1gb and one 2gb. Your model is in the gray lines at the bottom of the graph. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/Memory_Benchmark/Apple_MacBook/
    You can buy Lion for $29 from the App Store witht a model 2,1 MacBook. Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. As for programs see this list for compatibility with 10.7 http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
    Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
    Before Mac switched to Intel processors they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.
    These are good online stores for Mac compatible RAM
    OWC http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/MacBook/DDR2/ - They offer Mac tested RAM at very good prices.
    Crucial Memory http://www.crucial.com/ - good place to buy RAM from all over the world. They also have an excellent memory selector that allows you to choose memory based on your computer's model
    Data Memory Systems http://www.datamemorysystems.com/apple-memory.asp - another good, cheap place to buying RAM if you live in the U.S.
    Here are instructions on replacing RAM in a MacBook with a removable battery. http://homeoffice.consumerelectronicsnet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=44404

  • Is it possible to add an attachment in an adapter module

    Hi,
    I'm trying to add an attachment to the main payload in a SOAP communication channel, like this:
    XMLPayload extraInfoAsAttachment = new XMLPayloadImpl(); //com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.spi.XMLPayloadImpl
    //XMLPayload extraInfoasAttach = msg.createXMLPayload(); //--> when trying with this it will also fail
    try{
      String text = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?><testing>test</testing>";
      extraInfoAsAttach.setContentType("UTF-8");
      extraInfoAsAttach.setContent(text.getBytes());
      msg.addAttachment(extraInfoAsAttach); //provokes exception
    } catch (Exception e){
      audit.addAuditLogEntry (key, AuditLogStatus.ERROR, "Failure when adding the attachment");
      audit.addAuditLogEntry (key, AuditLogStatus.ERROR, e.getMessage()); //--> writes UNDEFINED
      throw new ModuleException (e);
    But it will fail in the catch block, with UNDEFINED message.
    Ive found the same problem, unresolved, here: NullPointerException - Create New Attachment to Message Payload

  • Add two attachment field in custom list through sharepoint designer 2013

    Hi all,
    I want to add two attachment columns to the SharePoint 2013 custom list through SharePoint Designer 2013 (not using ribbon attachment option) only . I managed to attach single attachment column to the attachment field. But I am not able to create second
    field for attachment.
    for example, one column for attaching address proof and second column for identity proof.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Out of the box this simply isn't going to be possible the way you seem to want it. The attachment field does allow for multiple attachment, but I can see why you'd potentially want these separated out.
    Alternative:
    You could instead create a link field for each. Users load the documents into a document library and then copy the URL to paste into the form. If you potentially need multiple attachments for each, you can use an InfoPath form and a repeating table.

  • Is there any way to automatically add an attachment to a message in Mail?

    Hi,
    I have to responsd to a lot of emails with basically the same response. I use a TextExpander snippet for the body of these messages. However, I usually need to attach a PDF file as well.
    Is there anyway to automate attaching a PDF attachement to a message in Mail?
    Perhaps, this can be done by adding the attachment into a Signature, although I havent seen a way to do this.
    Or perhaps, some kind of Automator scritpt?
    The mail account is actually a Google Apps account, so perhaps there is a way to have the GMail server do something to the message on the way out?
    Thanks

    it's fairly easy to create an outgoing message with attachments in applescript; just use a script like the following:
    tell application "Mail"
              set newMess to make new outgoing message with properties {visible:true, subject:"test emal"}
              tell newMess
      make new attachment at end of attachments with properties {file name:"/path/to/attachment"}
              end tell
    end tell
    it's extremely difficult to add an attachment to an outgoing email that's already been created, however (there's no easy way in applescript to get a reference to an open outgoing message window if the script did not make the window itself).  I'm not sure which you had in mind.

  • Is it possible for SA540 to work in transparent bridge mode?

    Hi all,
    I've been considering to use a Cisco SA540 in an industrial project; please consider Scenario 1 and 2 files attached (bear with me - I'm an engineer, not an artist).
    All networks mentioned in both scenarios are regular and well known Ethernet TCP/IP networks. The Corporate Network and Automation Network (including the DMZ) are in different subnets. The Corporate Network is the biggest one, similar to any company's corporate network you all know. The Automation Network exists for the purpose of operating and maintaining the industry process; it's smaller but highly critical. Only specific staff (automation staff and dedicated operators) have access to it. Although many devices and networks in the Automation Network are industry specific - not so well known, a small segment of it is plain Ethernet TCP/IP, as I've already stated. The Automation Network has a DMZ, where we lay servers that provide industry process information for the Corporate Network.
    Scenario 2 may look at a first glance the best option, since it's simpler, doesn't require another router and benefits from Cisco SA540 support for both a LAN and a DMZ. The problem with Scenario 2 is the following:
    Since both networks are maintained by different teams under different management, TI staff would have absolute control over the Cisco SA540. This way automation staff could not grant that the Automation Network is really protected from the Corporate Network.
    TI staff may even demand for another device to interface with the Automation Network - which is not Cisco SA540, since they rule everything that lives in the Corporate Network. In this case, I have my hands tied!
    Scenario 1 solves the above problems. Since automation would have absolute control over the Cisco SA540, they could grant security for the Automation Network (except for DMZ, but that's the reason why it is called a DMZ!). TI staff could ask for any router they prefer to interface with the DMZ, I would never mind about it.
    Considering the above, I will probably be forced to adopt Scenario 1 instead of Scenario 2. So here comes my question: is it possible for Cisco SA540 to work with the same subnet for both WAN and LAN interfaces (in Scenario 1, no DMZ interface is required)? In other words, is it possible for Cisco SA540 to work in transparent bridge mode? I've been through all of the Cisco SA540 Administration Manual and as far as I could understand, routing is not an option - it is demanding.
    Although I understand I could adopt Scenario 1 and still have different subnets for DMZ and the rest of the Automation Network by connecting the DMZ to the WAN interface and the rest of the Automation Network to the LAN interface in the Cisco SA540, I believe it's not worth the effort. The Automation Network is so small and we do all we can to keep it as simple as possible.

    Adriano, there is a RV042G, which supports the gig ports and a 800 mbps nat throughput. Here is the datasheet
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10907/ps9923/ps12262/data_sheet_c78-706724.html
    If you are using a DSL connection, the SRP527/547 models may be an alternative. These models support the RFC 1483 Bridges EOA Please note the SRP547 should be 10/100/1000. Also note the SRP521/541 are Fast Ethernet units and they do differ from the SRP527/547. The main selling point of these devices are the FXS/FXO ports. So this may also be a bit of an "unfocused" solution. But it's worth throwing the idea out there!

  • How can I add a attachment field to my new form list

    I have the setting checked yes for attachments. Then I click on the edit tab above then attach file, once I attach the file, it disappears and I cant see it after the record is saved. So how would I add a attachment to a record?

    Hi Soupi,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to show attachments in list view.
    By default, the list view only contain the Title column. If you want to show whether there is an attechment in an item, you can modify the view and show the Attachments column as Clicking List->Modify View, check "Attachments" in Columns section.
    After the above, the result is like:
    In the above image, test1 has an attachment, test1 doesn't have attachments.

  • Is it possible for a 3rd party program to create a list item in sharepoint online 2013?

    I have limited experience with the online version of sp. I've been asked if it's possible for a 3rd party app that our company is beginning to use, to programmatically add items to a list.    I don't have any details about the program yet,
    but I've been told that a batch would run at night and they would like it to create items in a SP list and pass along several fields of metadata.
    Is this possible in the online version?   I know that Power Shell can do this, but is it possible for an app to get access to run a PS command?
    thanks,

    Yes.
    There is something known as the Client Side (?) Object Model or CSOM. This allows you to create list items, lists and even sites with .Net code from a non server machine.
    You could run 'classic' Server Object Model  C#/VB.NET or PowerShell to do the same job and it might be easier as there's alot more material out there on how to do it. On the other hand it's probably going to make your solution more complicated and
    harder to maintain over the long run.
    This article introduces you to the CSOM and how to use it and is applicable to O365 as well as on-premise:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp179912%28v=office.15%29.aspx
    As an alternative you can look at the REST API which allows you to use web services to interact with SharePoint.
