Possibility of individual V2 postings for depreciation

Dear experts,
We have implemented parallel accounting using account method for
company code 3DEM. Thus, for depreciation area 10 we have configured it
to do a V2 update posting.
While posting depreciation, the system generates two accounting
documents - one for area 01 and other for area 10. However, the
granularity of postings is different. It seems the posting for area 10
are getting summarized at some level.
Is there a possibility of getting the same number of line item postings
for area 10, corresponding to the postings in area 01.
This will help us in reconciliation. Thanks.
Regards,
Vishal Thakur.

Hi Vishal,
Can you please let me know the below details?
1.  Depreciation areas created, the target ledgers
2.  Posting in GL Indicator set for deprecaition areas.
What i have understood from you posting is, when you execute the depreciation run you want to post some values to depreciation area 01 and different values for another depreciation area connected to Non-leading ledger.
If it is so, you can have a ledger group with only non leading ledger and assign it to Target Ledger Group  (depreciation area you are using for non - leading ledger).

  • Change document type for Depreciation postings

I need to change the document type for depreciation postings due to document number conflicts resulting from inter-company code depreciation (reference OSS note 51860).  But the system will not allow me to do this because "depreciation has been posted" AC 086 (depreciation <u>has</u> been posted in prior months).  Does anyone know of a way around this?
    Thanks,
    Cynthia

    Hi Cynthia,
Have you tried Tcode AO71. You can probably change document type for dep posting by company code.
This does not work for you?
    Let me know.
You can reach me at [email protected]

  • Park and Post for Depreciation Run - AFAB

    Hello Experts,
We have around 15,000 assets in our company code. We have requirement that, asset management team will check the depreciation and execute the depreciation for all 15000 depreciation. However at this time, FI postings should not be available.
Later the finance team will re-check the depreciation on test check basis and post it to FI. Trial balance will be updated.
In short, I require park and post for depreciation run in SAP.

    Hi Meena,
You can verify planned depreciation in Asset report S_ALR_87011990 and do not tick depreciation posted check box and give report date as the last date of the month you want to verify.
It will give depreciation planned details up to the month in the field dep for the year.
After verifying this you can run AFAB then check the same T code and this time tick depreciation posted check box. Now it will give you depreciation posted.
There is no parking concept in Asset module.
    Hope it solves.

    GSR

  • Is it possible to have different settings for different podcasts?

I know that you can change the setting for podcasts on iTunes - things like how often they're checked for new episodes and whether they're all kept or deleted after listening.
But some podcasts are more timely, like news programs, and I would like to delete those when they get old. Others are "keepers" and I would like to keep them indefinitely. I know I can go back and manually delete individual episodes, but that's kind of a pain.
So is it possible to change the settings for individual podcasts?
    Thanks.

Thanks. There is an option for allowing or not allowing auto-delete, which looks like it may be what I want. I'm giving it a try.

  • Multi ID's want to share contacts, calendar & notes, but need individual ID's for others

Family has multiple iOS and OSX devices all sharing a common Apple ID for iTunes, and we have individual ID's for Message and FaceTime.   We all want to share contacts, calendars, notes, reminders and the Find My device feature via Cloud, but found that when we use the shared iTunes ID we all show up as the same person in Air Drop (and possibly other apps too).  Is there a way to individualize the devices without loosing the ability to share the desired info?  I've searched with no luck.  Thank you!

If she created her own iCloud account by going to System Preferences>iCloud on her Mac and signing in with her Apple ID, you could privately share your calendars with each other with read and write access as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a9479.
Contacts would be more difficult to share.  To access your contacts, she would need to sign into your account and enable contact syncing.  However, when she does this, her conacts would be merged with yours.  A better solution would probably be to create a Gmail account, import your contacts to the account, and have her add the Gmail account to her Mac and enable contact syncing.  This would isolate just the contacts and would not merge hers with yours.  If you want to do this, you would need to download your iCloud contacts as a vCard (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606), import the vCard to Gmail (https://support.google.com/mail/answer/183711?hl=en), then add the Gmail account to her Mac in System Preferences>Internet Accounts (Mail,Contacts,Calendars)>Add Account>Google, then check Contacts.

  • What is the difference between periodic asset postings and depreciation pos

    Hi,
What is the difference between periodic asset postings and depreciation postings in asset accounting.
    Regards, Naresh Yadav

ASKBN or ASKB : Periodic asset posting will update acquisition and depreciation in depreciation area other than area 01 which are maintained as post "APC and depreciation on periodic basis" by using ASKB or ASKBN
Separate set of GL accounts will be used for ASKBN.  You can run ASKBN or ASKB as and when you need it and not necessarily nonth end
AFAB : To post a book depreciation at every period and  this activity usually every month end  which posts depreciation 01 Book Depreciation and other areas maintained as realtime at OADB

  • Fixed Asset calculates extra period for Depreciation

    Hi All,
I have imported the Fixed Asset for 2007B for the Year 2010. while checking the import, i notice that the system calculates an additional period for depreciation.
    Here is my scenario :
    a. Asset Cost = 15,863.12 (purchased on 31-May-2007).
    b. Useful Life = 36
    c. Remaining Life = 4
The above are displayed according to import file.
At the Depreciation Tab, there are 5 rows of planned depreciation calculated. Period 01 to Period 05.
How can the system calculates 5 periods when there is only 4 remaining periods for the asset?
This happens to all the assets being imported.
    Please advise.
    Jessie

    Further information.
The Net Book value = 1762.94
    with Accumulated Depreciation = 14100.18.
So the remaining 4 periods should be calculated as = 440.735 (per month for 4 months).
but it is displayed as 352.59 per month for 5 months.
The Fixed Asset is setup as Monthly Basis.
Using Straight Line Mehtod = Net Book Value / remaining life.

  • Is it possible to get a refund for a case i bought at the store but its not an apple product?

I bought a kate spade plastic case at the store 2 months ago and even the first day of having it on my iPhone I had multiple issues with it. However, I couldn't return it because I was away at school. I went into the Apple store and asked about the possibility of getting a refund for the case but they said it was a third party product and to contact the manufacturer. I called kate spade and since i wanted a refund and purchased at the apple store there was nothing they could do and to ask the apple store for my money back because thats where I purchased it. Am I ever going to get a refund and what should I do at this point?

In 2009 a new asset 456 purchased with different value. But in T.code OARP in column cumulative acquisition

  • Is it possible to generate outbound idocs for FI invoices? How?

Is it possible to generate Outbound idocs for FI invoices? How? or else i have to write program to get data in file and pass it to translator. Please help.

    Dear Gabriel
Before letting you know the possibility, can you please let me know why you want such a requirement, since standard has not provided such copy control, to my knowledge.
As you would know order type KB is for consignment fillup where you are just transferring the goods from FG unrestricted to your own warehouse and that is why in standard you can see the copy control KB --> F8 which means you can raise proforma against delivery and not against fillup order.
So think of whether really you wanted to raise proforma against fillup order which is NOT recommended by SAP.  However, still if you feel that the requirement is so to have, you can make the settings in VTFA.
    thanks

  • Are clusters or individual elements better for shared variables?

So...  I have some RT code that is being updated, and pulled out of the Stone Ages of LabVIEW.  It was originally written for an old FieldPoint controller operating in "headless" mode, and used the "publish" and datasocket methods for communications and external control.  I had to get clever way back then, and put together a parsing/unparsing system for strings to send sets of data back and forth between the controller and any HMI or other computer attached.
Now, I'm completely rewriting the code for a cRIO system, and doing my best to leverage all of the strengths of the latest LabVIEW versions.  I have already done an intermediate stage, where I converted from the publish/datasocket method to using network shared variables for my strings, so I could keep some of the original control and calculation logic.  Now, however, I'm going back to the drawing board for most of the program, with only some of the proven logic being held over into the new version.  And, as I'm putting together the data structures I need for both internal control and external communication, I'm in a bit of a quandary...
I have come upon a data structure dilemma:  should I use individual shared variables for my data, or assemble associated data into clusters?  My original program had a string (essentially a flattened cluster) for each sensor in use (up to 4), one for the system parameters and states, and one for the control parameters and states.  There was a certain advantage to keeping the data compartmentalized like that, it kept things organized and forced me to avoid too many random references of each data point.  And it kept the number of communications channels limited to just a handful.  Mimicking this structure with cluster shared variables would be easy.  But, I'm not sure it's the best or most network-efficient method.
I know the bundling/unbundling will add some processor time in my code, that is not new to me (it will still be much faster than my old parsing routines).  But, if I have individual data points being thrown around, I can access them easily from things like Data Dashboard (which is great, but far too limited to be able to grab items in clusters and such).  Having all of my data points individually available would make my project messier, but open up easier access.  It would also dramatically increase the number of data points being thrown around on the network at any one moment.  For reference, I would probably have a maximum of 100 data points at one time, made up of a combination of integers, floats, booleans, integer arrays, boolean arrays.  Or I would have a maximum of 8 clusters that would contain those data points.
Any suggestions on which way I should lean?  Are there any advantages/disadvantages between shared clusters like the ones I need vs. the number of individual shared variables I would need using the alternative methods?  Network traffic and efficiency are always a concern, particularly since this is a "headless" cRIO in a control situation that must maintain a fast scan rate...
Thanks for any help.  I'm so stuck on this fence, and I can't figure out which side to fall off!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks Tim, that is a great source that I somehow missed in my hunt for information regarding my dilemna...
I have to wonder though, does that 25 number also include the I/O points on your cRIO?  Anyone know that particular?  Most of the I/O points are network shared by default during initial configuration, and you could very quickly exceed 25 variables on an 8 slot rack (such as the one I use, a 9074).  Now I'm a bit worried that I'm overusing the variable engine, even before the communications clusters get figured in...

  • XML DB: is it possible to get a row for each element in a container element?

I have an XML document containing a container element (collection). If I query, using an XPath expression, the contained elements I get a row for each container element with the contained element concatenated. Is it possible to get a row for each contained element?
    I run this simple query:
    select extract(xmltype('<colors><color>Red</color><color>Green</color></colors>')
    , '/colors/color/text()').getstringval() from dual
    And get this result:
    EXTRACT(XMLTYPE('<COLORS><COLOR>RED</COLOR><COLOR>GREEN</COLOR></COLORS>'),'/COL
    RedGreen
    1 row selected.
What I would like to have is:
    Red
    Green
    2 rows selected.
Wishful thinking or possible? Many thanks!

Sure. This is where our XMLSequence() function comes in. It allows you to treat the top-level nodes in a nodeset as if they were rows in a table when combined with the TABLE() operator. Here's an example.
First, to make the SQL look a little cleaner, I like to define a function like this:
create or replace function testdoc return xmltype as
    begin
      return xmltype('<colors><color>Red</color><color>Green</color></colors>');
    end;.
To break out the nodeset of <color> elements as a table, we use the following query:
    select value(list_of_color_elements).extract('*/text()').getStringVal() as color
    from TABLE( XMLSequence( extract(testdoc(),'/colors/color'))) list_of_color_elements.
Or, using the new-in-9.2 extractValue() operator so we don't have to remember the text() part:
select extractValue( value(list_of_color_elements), '.') as color
from TABLE( XMLSequence( extract( testdoc() ,'/colors/color'))) list_of_color_elements.
Here the TABLE(XMLSequence(...)) combo produces a table of XMLType, with one XMLType object in each row of the table.
In general, if the XMLType instance were coming from an XMLType table xmltab the query would look like this:
select extractValue( value(colors), '.') as color
from xmltab x, /* Important that this table comes earlier in the FROM clause! */
         TABLE( XMLSequence( extract( value(x),'/colors/color'))) colors.
And if the XMLType were instead in a column of XMLType named doc in a table xmltab, then we would have the syntax:
select extractValue( value(colors), '.') as color
from xmltab x, /* Important that this table comes earlier in the FROM clause! */
TABLE( XMLSequence( extract( x.doc ,'/colors/color'))) colorsOnce you get the hang of it, you'll see that the combination of TABLE(XMLSequence()) to "shred" XML nodes into rows, and XMLAgg() to aggregate fragments of XML across multiple rows back into a single document, is quite powerful.

    Please check this answered link:
    Batch-classification view
If you want classify a batch, then you should have maintained the batch classification in material master which is either class 022 or class 023 (depends on your batch level set in cusotmizing). The material class 001 has no impact on the batch classifcition, it is what it is: a classification for the material.
