Possibility to have line moved to new FTTC cabinet...

My current cabinet is about 700 metres from my home. Tonight, I notice a new FTTC cabinet has been installed just around the corner from me at no more than 400 metres. Its also virtually line of sight of the exchange.
When I was on adsl, I was told my line length to my existing cabinet pre FTTC go live, was nearly 5km from the exchange. In reality, this cabinet is actual 1.7km from the exchange so clearly, the line goes all round the houses to go from exchange to cabinet.
The new cabinet is just over 1 km from the exchange so one would presume (dangerous, I know) the lines would be more direct. I know the line length from exchange to cabinet doesnt really matter but surely, a reduction from 5km line length to just over 1 km must have some advantages?
Anyhow, what would be the possibility of BT \ Openreach moving my line to the nearer cabinet? This should surely see my current speed of 53mb increase to 60mb or more?
How do you request your line to be moved to the new cabinet before all connections are taken?

Except if you order another line, as my mate has done for his business as home, his new business Infinity line is connected to a different cabinet than his home Infinity line. New line gets 80Mb/20Mb compared to original line variable of only 36Mb/5Mb. Both feed into a Draytek 2850 router to be shared with home and business network.
He needed the new line (obviously a business line being used for working from home) to get the superior up speed for use of remote desktop into the numerous servers he manages/configures/setsup as part of his business.
Also had a line fault, (water in duct ?) and as business line was fixed same day.

First I must say that my question was in fact concerning Firefox 3.6.3. I updated my Firefox 3.0.19 to 3.6.3 and that's why I had this problem. But I also kept my 3.0.19 version and use it when I need the alphabetic field cache recognition (to play an online game in which you must be the first to recognize a picture and type its name in a field).
I launched 3.6.3 and install the cache utility you recommend, but unfortunately it's not the function I need. My question doesn't concern URL cache but ''field'' cache, and I don't need a soft that opens a new window.
I just would like to get the old alphabetic cache so the options are more restricted when I type, so I gain a little time. With the "new" cache, I have to type the whole name so the cache is not useful anymore.

illaass is technically correct in the wording of the EULA but actually wrong !
If you retain a UK bank account and payment card and have a valid UK address you could continue to use the UK store from anywhere (NOT approved but works just fine !)
If you have opened a local bank account and have an NZ billing address then you need to log out of the UK store and transfer to the NZ store to comply with the EULA terms.
Your payment card will need to have the correct first four digits (area code for NZ) or will be rejected.
Any existing apps will continue to work however you won't be able to upgrade them -Unless you re-log into the UK store using your old credentials !
Contrary to popular belief Apple does NOT use location services and IP addressing to prevent cross border purchases rather just the billing address and local payment details !
To change and select the regional store you want to use do the following;
On your iOS device tap Settings/iTunes & App Stores/Apple ID
A window bubble opens here tap view Apple ID
You are now routed to your iTunes accounts page
Here you can now change your payment details the default regional store you want to visit and a few other things.

FTTC Cabinet Location Havant P8

Our FTTC has been delayed a number of times and currently has an availability date of June 2013.
A quick check with our postcode on http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/ indicates that HAVANT cabinet P8 is along this path. However I have walked up and down this path lots of times and the FTTC cabinet is not there. There are also no regular cabinets along this path. This subject has definitely got me interested and I have been scouting round the area general area and found other cabinets, but not this one.
To add to this, when we had our phone line installed 3 years ago the BT Engineer spent hours trying to find out where our cabinet was.
Does anyone have any idea where this P8 cabinet actually is?
Brief History of FTTC Activity
In 2012, up the Langstone Road near the junction with Langbrook Close, the yellow markings were made beside an existing cabinet and shortly afterwards a new FTTC cabinet was installed. Even today this cabinet does not appear to be ‘humming’ so I don’t think anything has been installed in it yet. Also neither cabinet has any markings on them whatsoever.
In Feb a few engineers appeared directly outside our house and were pulling the fibre cable in the underground ducts from Hayling Island up the road towards Havant.
In April 3 BT Openreach Vans were parked outside and they said that "the wrong sort of fibre" had been pulled through. They said it was FTTP rather than FTTC and therefore a different team would have to come out and terminate it. However they also said their time was not wasted as they were about to go around the area and scout out the cabinets.

AS promised, here are the photos of the P8 Cabinet. You can see the new FTTC cabinet in the background across the junction.

So now the cabinet has been identified I had a quick listen to the P8 FTTC cabinet and this is silent which would seem to indicate that either there is no kit in it or the kit is not turned on.
Any idea if this is likely to happen in June 2013 or is it going to be delayed?

FTTC Cabinet Commissioning

Our exchange (eabru) was due to be FTTC enabled in March 2012 and surprise, surprise this was put back to July 2012. The BTOR 'Where & When' web page now shows June 2012 as does my ISP (Not BT). So I guess it's iminent although I appreciate there could be other factors that may prevent it from happening.
A lot of BTOR and other non BT vans were seen working on my cab a few months ago but it's gone relatively quiet since then. Although, I now see it's been fenced off and a Morrisons utility sign put up suggesting that electrical works are currently taking place (perhaps providing power to the cab?).
My question is does anyone know if this would be the last step in commissioning a new FTTC cabinet?

Essentially the last step is a BT Operate engineer running tests from the cab back over to ensure the kit works and the fibre optics are capable of sending the amount of data required.

Could not find that setting anywhere.
It's in AirPort Utility, AirPort panel, Wireless tab.
When I'm within the range of the base station I connect normally, but further away the connection drops despite the fact that the other Airport is very close and light is green. Interestingly, my PB Pro has signal almost everywhere in the house, but my iPhone and Mac Mini don't. Most likely just a hardware difference?
In AirPort Utility with the second Express, in the AirPort panel, Wireless tab, have you checked "Allow wireless clients"?
The second AP does show an IP address: 10.0.1.3.
With a "Configure IPv4" setting of "Using DHCP", that suggests that the second Express really is connecting to the first Express. In that case I have no other explanation of your your problem.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

Adding a new line - do I HAVE to buy a new phone?

I am in the process of adding my wife to my calling plan. Unfortunately, it seems as if I can only do so if I purchase a new phone to go along with it. I have found phones online that are much cheaper, however, and would rather buy the phone seperately. Is there a possibility that you can add a new line without having to purchase the phone? If I can get my wish, I would add my wife to the plan and buy her new phone via amazon.

When you add a new line, you can choose from one of 3 contract lengths - Month-to-Month, 1-year and 2-year. If you sign a 1 or 2 year contract, you get a bonus, a discounted phone. You can certainly add a line without buying a phone, but if you sign a contract there is no reason NOT to take the discounted phone.
If you want to get a phone at the discounted price, you need to buy it at the same time as you sign the contract for your new line, or you will be asked to pay full price for the phone. Some third-party resellers can add a line to your plan and sell you a discounted phone, others can't or don't, you will have to check with the specific vendor.
Also, be sure to read the third-party contract, the reason they sell phones so cheaply is that they tie you into a contract of their own, with a separate ETF if you change your plan or de-activate the phone within a certain timeframe.

A gentle reminder. Unless you will be permanently resident in Canada and have a Canadian based banking/credit card arrangement you may not be able to buy from the Mac App store or iTunes.

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

HT1349 I have just moved from one pc to another. I had used 5 computers to attach to itunes. I went in and disabled all 5 of my accounts but cant get the new computer to give me a prompt to authorize this computer. Any ideas?

I have just moved from one PC to another. They are windows pc's not macintosh. When i installed itunes on the new computer it stated that I already had 5 devices authrorized for this account. I did a little reading and went in and deathorized all 5 PC from the account as I am sure it was a couple pcs ago and a few iphones. When I try and go in and authorize an account I cant see anywhere where there is a prompt to authorize the new PC. I go into store and all it says is that there are no devices associated to this account. What I would like to do is associate my new PC and my iphone to this account and hopefully restore from the cloud all of my music and programs.
Any idea what I am doing wrong here or how I can resolve this. Thanks in advance.

HT1349 I have recently moved home from the UK to the Cayman Islands, my PC in the UK has been destroyed as it was 240v but my ipod will now not sync with itunes on my new laptop can anybody help as my ipod holds all my music files

Now with a little more space, I believe this to be a simple fix just not for me! I have recently moved from the UK to the Cayman Islands and there lies the problem, 'voltage' ....
My UK PC was 240v and has now been destroyed so when I secured a new laptop 110v and downloaded itunes I was told by 'itunes' as my ipod was linked to another PC it would not/could not sync to my ipod. As the ipod holds ALL my music files this is a major drag. Can anybody tell me how to unassociate my ipod with my old PC so I can sync with my new laptop.

All computers sold in the past 10 years are univeral insofar as voltage is concerned, so it may have been destroyed but not because of voltage. The right thing to do is to restore the backup that you must have made of your old PC to your new laptop. Then you will not lose anything when you sync the phone.

I have a different perspective there.
If an item is applicable for two different taxes which are represented by two different tax condition types and these tax conditions are configured in the tax procedure, FTXP and so on....then these two condition records can have two different tax codes.
We actually have this scenario in EU now, where EU talks about service tax in 2010 apart from the normal VAT. So now we have MWST and ZWST(Say)
Now there are some materials which come with a service associated with it. So a service charge is also levied when the material is sold. So the material price will become applicable for VAT and the service charge becomes applicable for service tax. In this case, the tax classification of the customer will have two entries in sales orders updated in the fields VBAK-TAXK1 and VBAK-TAXK2 based on the sequence number of these condition types.
Now based on different tax classification of the customer, we have 2 different tax codes representing different %of tax.
