Possible answer to LR 2.6 & 2.7 Seeming to run slower than earlier versions

I just downloaded and unpgraded from LR 2.6 to 2.7 on a Windows Vista 64-bit machine. Version 2.6 seemed to run a lot slower than 2.5. When I read the LR2.7 readme file on the download page I noticed one of the known issues is that at least ver. 2.7 runs slower when there are lots of files in the recycle bin. after I upgraded I emptied the recycle bin (Of almost 3000 files), and yes indeed performance did improve - dramatically. This also improved performance on LR 3 Beta 2.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried each idea in the order suggested. Unfortunately I have not yet solved the problem. In some circumstances, with certain paper profiles and no other color management in place, I get faulty prints but they have large areas of solid color in areas where there is a large amounts of color saturation in the original image. The faulty image below is printed to plain letter-sized paper ar Normal Quality. One clarification I wish to make is that my HP printer driver was not specifically a 64-bit driver, but rather 32-bit/64-bit driver compatable for Win 7.
I may try completely uninstalling LR before reinstalling, instead of a "repair-install" but I am still open to other suggestions.

Two days ago my iPad 3 and IPad 2 started to crash very unexpectedly. Both iPads have wifi and cellular and both are running iOS 7.0.2. I will be working and suddenly the screen just wipes to black and then the big white Apple appears as if I have done a hard reset. The iPads always come back, but the crashes and unexpected app closures are happening with greater frequency. It happens more with the iPad 3 than with the iPad 2. Until two day ago both iPads had been very stable. I don't keep a lot of apps open and I have plenty of GB of free space. I do hard resets after each event, doesn't help the situation. Did Apple do some kind of update to the OS in the last few days? I was just getting used to the new OS and this is very frustrating. Often printing problems are a sign of corrupt preferences. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences, delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist file & then restart Pages.

How can I increase the number of possible answers in Captivates short answer quiz?

I am trying to offer a short answer question that has more than 8 possible answers (due to different spelling and punctuation possibilities). I can add up to 8 possible answers but don't know if it is possible to add more to the short answer quiz question. I'm using Captivate 5.5.

Hope you will not be offended, but I find it very difficult to use the Short Answer question, and have all possible answers to be included. I would really like to be able for such a Question type to have the 'exact' answer replaced by this answer has to include a number of keywords. But that is perhaps only me...
For that reason I will mostly replace this type of Question slide by a custom slide, created using the TextArea widget. Then you can check the answer to see if it includes certain keywords.
Now for you answer: I think 8 is indeed the maximum number of possible correct answers.

Make sure you have 24 digits serial. also let me know if you have installed the product from creative cloud app, if it is installed through creative cloud app you will get invalid serial number error

Help! I have a question (drop down) on my form that has 100's of possible answers. I'm trying to copy and paste them into the answer possibilities in the form design but it ends up in one field instead of creating more? Is this possible or will I have to manually type them all out?

I had called Adobe about this months ago, its based on the default settings which Adobe has and you cannot control where the default lies.

I have a state-of-the-art Core 2 duo PC with plenty of RAM, disk space, bandwidth, you name it, but still iTunes skips when it's the only thing running. And, my pc is NOT an HP as so many seem to be. I complained via web multiple times and was finally told, iTunes support couldn't help me but I could contact Apple support who would but it would cost me $49. What's with that? They break their own product and make me pay to get an answer?
Say what you will about Microsoft (I sure have), but this is every bit as unresponsive as M$ has ever been. I have hundreds of dollars in iTunes music purchases, but no more.

I honestly don't know what could be causing this issue. However, I would like to know if you're running the 64-bit version of Windows XP Professional. Even if you have the latest technology, not everything will be perfectly compatible, and as far as I know, a 64-bit version of iTunes hasn't been released, so you're bound to run in to problems if you're running 32-bit software on a 64-bit OS. Of course, I don't know very much about compatibilities between 64-bit and 32-bit software, so I could be completely wrong, but I don't know. But if it is the case that iTunes is having trouble because of this, then you'll either have to put up with it or use iTunes on a 32-bit computer. I suppose you might have an option somewhere to run 32-bit software in compatibility mode, but again, I'm not sure if that exists.
Also, I agree that Apple's support model is terrible.

the subject says it all. I have downloaded the trail version to see if its possible to create a editable pdf with validation(required field) using Adobe Acrobat pro version?
Basically, I will have to create a pdf form where users fill it and send it back to me. there will be required fields (the textbox and check box) that user need to fill before saving the editable pdf?
Is it possible. if so, can someone kind enough to point to me right directions?

Thanks for reply. What I am trying to achieve is to give an option for the user to download the pdf form and once the user tries to save the pdf, it validates with the required field. I managed to create the editable pdf with required fields option. I just need that validation to be done when user click on save file. How can I achieve this? thanks so much for your help.

I agree it is a very bad and wasteful design especially for users on small laptop screens.
You can drag it to whatever shape you want from the bottom left corner.
Click on the paintbrush to make the Format side panel disappear. However you will need to use that side panel for most formatting.

Is it possible to put the java classes of an application and run?

Please excuse me if this question seems meaningless / laughable.
We get java class files by compiling the source code with java compiler. To run the application, classpath can be set to the folder where the class files are stored and then run the main class.
Now the question is, is it possible to read the class files to RAM and then run the application. I highly appreciate your help.

You could
1.) copy the class files to a ramdisk
2.) write another class loader that deletes the class files after loading >them from ram
but all of this is probably not necessary.
What exactly would you like to achieve by doing this? Thanks, JoachimSauer.
The idea I have in mind is to first read and store the java class files in C/C++ code and then while running the C/C++ code, read & put the java classes into RAM and run the java application.
This way the decompilation problem can be alleviated for valuable java applications. ( I am not sure, this will work)
Another reason could be speed improvement. Classes in RAM is expected to make the application to run faster than when class files are in hadr disk
