Possible bug - only able to COPY or COPY AS DNG, but not MOVE in import

I have run across a strange situation. In LR3 in my WinXP Pro system, I have been importing as usual, typically via MOVE, and that has worked just fine. I now am trying to import 80 images totaling 1 GB from a memory card and nothing seems at all unusual. However, the import dialog, upon opening, immediately switches out of MOVE as it was used in the last import, and goes to COPY; in fact, MOVE is greyed out. I have tried restarting LR several times, but always get the same behavior. Any thoughts on what may be going wrong? Thanks.

But I know that I have very commonly used the MOVE function in getting images off of a memory card. And I did this in earlier versions as well as in LR3. What could I have done unknowingly in the past to allow a MOVE? Thanks.

If I turn on cell and wifi, it says I get gps signal, but can't tell if that is from the GPS chip, or just from cell and wifi only (maybe with some gps mixed in)? Yes. tried the one ram stick, no go. I have been trying to boot off/install the windows 7 disk but am unable to get to the point where windows starts installing after its gathering information portion of the install. I can get to the disk selection screen of the install with the WD HD on SATA port 2 but then get the "cant install messages" when I try to select the Vertex 3. Yes I can see the Vertex 3 Drive as well as the WD drive at this point. some times I have to hit "scan" a couple of times.

Don't panic. OS X 10.5.8 is the most popular PowerPC OS out there. People run it everyday without security breaches, including myself. It isn't Windows!

You aren't doing anything wrong.
If the PDF is short enough, your iPad Mail app will display the text as part of the mail.
Actually it is still an attachment.
Tap and HOLD on the text and you should see options to "Open In..." that will allow you to open the PDF in most PDF readers such as iBooks, GoodReader, etc.

Are you using FCPX? It doesn't have a canvas. Do you really mean one frame, like 1/30th of a second? Add a custom generator underneath the logo. Make it whatever color you want. Make it however short you want.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

THank you Ogelthorpe. When my wife's computer I went on line to the site that you sent and tried everything But nothing worked. When my son came to visit and his MacBook Pro did exactly the same thing we became suspicious - too much of a coincidence. We took both computers somewhere else, out of our apartment, and they both booted. We ran disk utility on both, but the report in both cases was that there are no issues with the hard drive. Back in our apartment neither will boot up. My MacBook Pro is a later model with a solid state drive and it seems to work fine here.. I tried an external drive and it works fine. We think that this has something to do with some kind of magnetic interference in our apartment to which the 2009 drives are susceptible. It is indeed a mystery!

Have done both suggestions, still not working. Could it have somehting to do with my local network? I am using a wireless Internet provided by my apartment building so not sure if apple tv and my computer are not technically on the same "local network?"

Is it possible to have media files copied to a new location as you import them into a project?

I have roughly 800gb of footage i've taken over the past 2 years of traveling, and I am making a single video montage... The files are located on an external drive, making them slower to work with. I have a 1tb ssd but not enough free space to copy all the files to it for sorting. What i want to do is have the files copy over to the SSD as i add them to the project, so that only the footage i'm going to use gets copied over to the SSD. The only way i can determine if i am going to use the footage or not is to scrub through and mark Ins and Outs in premiere...
So i guess my question, in the simplest terms i can ask is, Is there a setting in Premiere, like the project manager tool which allows you to consolidate used media files to one destination, but one that will consolidate files as you add them to the project? or could i do this manually by repeatedly using the project manager tool to consolidate files periodically?
Hope that makes sense...
Oh, and yes, i have considered other methods to my madness, like reviewing the footage outside of premiere before deciding if i will use it or not, frankly, i have over 4000 pieces of footage and it's just much faster to scrub through them in premiere than to open each one in vlc to review. It's also much more convenient to mark my ins and outs as i review the footage, so premiere is my only option.

You can easily (and better, IMHO) do what you want in Adobe Prelude. It's part of the CC subscription, and may have been included with CS6.
Open the Ingest panel, navigate to the external drive where you have your source clips, make the thumbnails in the Ingest panel comfortably large, click a video clip to enable scrubbing, and use the J-K-L keys to navigate playback through the clips. Put a check mark on the clips you want and be sure to select and set up the Transfer option on the right side of the panel before ingesting. Don't select the Transcode option.

There are two types of Backups that I can make for iDevice (for a example for iPhone - backup to iCloud or/and to the local PC/Mac.
Both are the current Backup, so my question is - Is it possible to save a several Backups of an exact iDevice, for example of iPhone (some history, but not the last one only)?

ITunes keeps 1 backup file only.
Icloud keeps 3 backup files.
