Possible Device OS Update Issue

Newbie Here
Since updating the device OS which is 7.1.0 Bundle 2494, i have consistant issues regards to the following
#1 - Whenever i would either be texting via bbm / whatsapp , i would try take a picture to send, after the the picture is taken, my device suddenly reboots, the image is not saved either.
#2 - Every single time my battery bar reaches it's halfway mark, suddenly the following message pops up "Battery Too Low For Radio Use" & i have monitored this a good while now, it so happens that after 3 / 4 times this message appears, my device just swtches off completely, as soon as i plug my charger in, my on-screen battery indicator shows that it's completely drained.
Are there any other users out there(not only regards to the device i have) but with other device models as well??
Will there be an update release soon to fix these particular issues at hand??

I apologize for the lack of a response until now.
First off, you cannot "go back" to OS 6 on a 9900 because it shipped from the factory with OS 7 pre-installed and you can't install an earlier version of OS than what it came with.
The solution is to actually try updating your OS again. Obviously, something is going wrong and needs to be corrected. By updating your OS again, we're going to try bypassing whatever is going wrong with it.
To start, plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software. Once your phone has been recognized by BDS, click Device at the top of the software then Update. Choose the version with Currently Installed beside it and proceed. That should solve your problem.

Possible explanation for L920 issues

I will be sending an official Email to Nokia about my experience with the L920 and my observation but would like to share with you what my device is struggling with. I will have to confirm that my device, including the battery is fault free.
** GPS
Somtimes the GPS will not lock. It will work for minutes, hours but out of the blue just refuses to respond anymore.
I can confirm this issue after several tests. It's obviously software related.
Tried it with many GPS softwares; sometimes GPSinfo can't use the GPS, instead it displays using A-GPS ( Assisted GPS ) from GSM data. Accuracy is somehow 100-200 meters that's why you will see your position jumping all around the map.
The only solution is to reset the device. Once done, if you open GPSinfo for example, it will connect to the sattelite and lock in seconds. If you retry after half an hour, it still locks. If you use the device for hours moderately and try again, it fails. Hence I have to reboot it.
If it's a hardware issue, GPS will lock sporadically regardless of reboots which is not the case.
** Speakers
Another thing I noticed... When you play a notification, if you put your ears next to the speakers in the button when it's over, there will be a light buzzing sound barely noticeable ( if you are in a quiet room ) for 2-3 seconds and then will go away. It basically means that the speakers were on and went into standby. Another explanation to why sometimes when I get a notification I hear a crackling distored sound then it continues normally. Should be because the audio device is waking up.
I have repeated the scenario for 15 minutes playing notifications on and off and stimulating the speakers; I observed a fast battery drain along with overheat ( Battery Sense displayed -41% / hour with brightness medium ) and my battery went from 72% to 58% which is odd. I've always had mediocre battery performance with moderate usage and excellent standby time so my battery is not defective nor my device is.
Also if you play an MP3 whatsoever and you keep pressing Vol Up or Vol Down, the sound will distort until you stop pressing.
It could be a reason why sometimes battery drains way faster than it should as I sometimes receive 90-100 notifications per hour ( Mail exchange + whatsapp + facebook chat etc.. )
**Brightness
You don't want to count on your AutoBrightness settings in WP8 do you ? Usually in a sunny day, if you go outside, your phone should increase the brightness and reduce it back when you go indoor.
With WP8 it's not the case. It's only working one way. When you are already indoor and go out while using your phone, it will indeed increase the brightness. However, If you are in using your phone with full brightness and move to a dark place, it will not reduce the brightness unless you lock the screen and unlock it.
Now what happens here is a disaster to the battery in my opinion. If you are moving around at night and your proximity sensor gets exposed directly to a light from a random source ( lamp above you whatsoever ) it will increase the brightness while you're using your phone but wont decrease it back once you move.
You will probably not notice that the screen brightness has increased if the background is black but it will drain your battery much faster.
Remember, although it might look like Autobrightness is ON but in reality the system will consider what has been set in the manual settings to adjust the brightness accordingly. That being said, those values probably will be the threshold. If set to medium, in a sunny day outside, WP8 will increase the brightness to medium as a maximum or so.
** Battery
Now this one is quite strange but it looks like WP8 battery meter isn't accurate at all. I did many recharging-discharing cycles from 2% to 100% leaving it for hours on power but it looks like WP8 doesn't give you accurate numbers. After unplugging the device from full charge, I left the screen on for 10 minutes to lock : the percentage remaining was still at 100%.then started decreasing slowing to 96% after 30 minutes. I left my phone idle on standby for another 30 minutes and found the battery still at 95%. Played with the device for around 10 minutes and it dropped to 87% ( browsing app store no intensive tasks involved )
Now the suprising thing is that when I hit 17% after hours, I had to reboot the device to find that the battery remaining jumped back to 39%. This is quite odd.
One possible explanation in my opinion is that WP8 uses an algorithm to estimate the percentage of battery remaining based on your usage history ( could be last 30 minutes or hour ) and displays the remaining percentage which doesn't look accurate if anything. A potential reason to why some people excluding those with overheat issue, are reporting mixed battery life observation. One day the battery seem to drain faster than the other one.
Note that this is my own observation based on several experiments and tests of two Lumia 920 devices.

Now someone suggests the OP to take backups of their data on the phone and do a hard reset.
OP does this and spends a long time setting the phone back up to their liking only to find that the issues are still there

I'm doing a hard reset on my Lumia 920 as we speak so I can take it to Nokia Care and so far it has had the turning cogs going for 13 hours. I'm afraid of interrupting the process, but surely it's not supposed to take this long. -

You can revert back to WP8 using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. -
10.9.2 Update Issue (VPN) - Eclipse Perl debugger issues while connected to VPN

I have yet another issue related to 10.9.2 update - Eclipse Perl debugger issues while connected to VPN...
One of the big changes introduced by 10.9.2 update - are VPN changes (security fixes). Unfortunately, whatever these changes are - they "broke" Eclipse (OpenSource IDE) debugger. I am not sure if *all* programming languages (Eclipse plugins) are affected by this, but I know for sure that 'Epic' (Perl plugin) debugger *stopped working* while system is connected through VPN.
Here is the error that gets “popped-up” in the Eclipse:

I was able to prove that this issue is related to 10.9.2 update:
Issue *does not* exist under 10.9.1 (I had to revert back to 10.9.1 to get it working again)
No updates were performed around the same time 10.9.2 update occurred (I verified that using Software Update log)
No configuration changes were introduced around the same time
Reverting back to 10.9.1 using Time Machine (thanks god I had backup !!!) fixed the issue
Steps to reproduce this issue:
In Eclipse, try to use 'Epic' (Perl plugin) to debug any perl script while *not* connected through VPNEpic debugger works
Connect to VPN
Start Epic debugger to debug same script
Debugger *does not* start, and "Timed out while waiting for Perl debugger connection" error pop-up comes up after some time. At the same time, exception stack (listed above) is printed in Eclipse's console
I am programmer/software developer, I work remotely (telecommute) and thus have to rely on use of VPN to connect to company's intranet. Perl - is primary language used by my team, and we use Eclipse IDE with Epic plugin - heavily. Use of Epic's debugger - is a *very large* aspect of my work, I cannot work without it. So in essense, 10.9.2 has *entirely* disrupted my ability to work! It took me almost a week to get back to normal work environment, and I cannot afford to let it happen again... I need Apple's development team resolve this VPN related issue, as soon as possible! Because of this issue, I am *stuck* with 10.9.1 and can not upgrade my laptop to any other versions. In fact, I had to disable system updates - just so I do not run into this issue again... I contacted Apple's Tech Support on 02/28 with this issue (Ref: 582428110), asking to raise trouble ticket. Since then, I tried to follow-up on that issue, but do not get any information. Please advise on the status:
is there a trouble ticket to track this issue?
is there any progress?
what's the ETA for an update that fixes this problem?

The iPod Classic I bought a month ago is not synching with my new Mac Book I bought 3 weeks ago. All the software was immediately updated. My iPhone 5 synchs fine, and so does my 2nd generaton iPod Touch. The original computer I synched all of these devices on was my HP latop. I bought my Mac and Classic to the Apple Store for a 'Genius Appt' and they could not figure out what the problem is. The connected my Classic to another computer and the same thing happens. It says device is not recognized. They also took other iPod Classics and connected them to my Mac and other Macs. The same thing was happening. They took notes and said it probably is an iTunes update issue.
I can manually drag songs into my Classic but I lost all playlists because it cannot be backed up as well and they had to restore it. For now I am holding on to it but it's usless to me if I cannot use it the way I liked too. I used it for the gym and bike riding and my last iPod battery died after 6 years. A charge would last 45 miutes. I love the Classic for what I use it for but it's a $275 brick to me now. At least the renewed by receipt so I can get a full refund.
Is anyone else seeing this issue ? The Apple Store employee said he saw a first generation iPad havng the same issue. As of now the Support Dest is unaware of this. As much as I love my new Mac I am disappointed I cannot sync my new Classic to it. Total bummer.
Any help would be apprecated.By the way, I totally restored everything. It was ok. It starts to 'unrecognize' my iPod Classic when it comes to synching with iPhoto. After this happened all the menus disappeared from my iPod (music, Podcasts, movies synched fine). It seems to be a problem when synching with iPhoto. It was the same thing before.

Profit Center: This will be carrying the Segment field where ever you use PC. Bcoz, Segment will be defaulted in PC Master data.
Every Revenue item will be given PC, nad PC will carry Segment. So you do not have any issues in reporting.
All Open items of AR, AP off-setting entry will be updated with PC while uploading into SAP.

If it is 3850-24p-L, it can be :

Try updating your mdf device package as well. Device package for Common Services.
For current Nexus device package issue, each device package is not individual, but has some dependant packages. Without which they are tend to fail during installation check.
You can select all the available device packages and try to install. It seems you dont have SharedDcmaIOS (3.1.7) installed and hence the package is failng due to pre-requisite.
You have to install each package which fails which consistancy check on other packages.
For mdf package update, you can select common service as well and check for update.
There may be some 3850 device packages already available, please share output of following command for us to see :

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :

2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad -
Desktop Manager freezes when looking for device app. updates
I NEED to use the Desktop Manager because I want to remove apps from my 8130 that I believe are bogging my phone down and causing it to act wierd (like Yahoo Messenger!) So I connect my phone, click on DM. Instantly a gray box comes up saying "Searching for device application updates. Please wait." It runs and runs and never does anything. I allowed it to go for 20 minutes one time just to see if I was just being too impatient, but still nothing. I click "Cancel" and DM goes into "Not Responding".
I have repeated this cycle several times... decided maybe it was the software (v4.7) and went to do an uninstall. It goes to compute system space and comes back with a 1606 error, something to do with "network something or other". So I cannot even UNINSTALL it!
What gives? I have noticed several others says they have had problems with 4.7 crashing their computer, which hasn't happened to me yet... but has anyone else had what I just described happened to them. And if so, what did you do to fix it?
NickPossibly...but if the issues wind up being intermingled (as they so often do), then having them separated becomes confusing. The way these forums work is that there are many of us here volunteering in our spare time to help out. And that means needing to have clean hand-offs of information so that anyone can pick up from another (since, for instance, I need to dash out right about now...someone else will need to pick up). If one post here only has a subset of the total story, someone picking it up here will have no way to realize that other things were tried in another thread. The key for each OP is to keep it to one thread unless and until it can be determined that things should be split -- and then we can have the mods do that if we need it. For your issues, while it's so new and in the initial diagnosis stages, keeping it in one place would be cleaner.
BTW -- all of that is merely IMHO. I have no "power" over what anyone here does. I'm just a volunteer.

Can't contact software update server (iOS 5.1 update issue)
For some reason, I'm unable to update my IOS devices at home but able to do it somewhere else (Starbucks, McDonald's, friends' house). Is anyone else having this problem or knowswhat the issue is?

Ok, so I went to Brainshare and got all excited to really implement my ZEN system. So, I come back and start only to realized that I have not update the system since 10.1.3. So I think to myself, better patch the system up to 10.3 so I can upgrade to 11. I attempt to update the server, I only have one, so it is the primary server. The problem is that I can issue the update to the server but it stays in the pending stage. I attempt to refresh the device but Zenworks Agent Status is "Unable to connect through IP Address or Host Name". So, it fails to update the system. Why can't the system connect to itself?
Another question is the update path. Do I have to go from 10.1.3 ot 10.2 to 10.3 and then to 11 or can I go from 10.1.3 to 10.3 then to 11?
Thank youOct 20 was the last update. I think what happened was when I first attempt to update it on that date that the I selected all devices, which update agents first before the server. I think the agent on the server is a different version than the version of zcm on the server. Could that keep it from updating?
I tried the zac ref and the process does not finish. The server doesn't return to the prompt in the terminal. It seems stuck.
And I'm stuck in a loop.

Still Happening - Software HANGING while "Checking for device application updates...."
Windows Vista v4.7 of Blackberry Desktop Software
As soon as I plug my Blackberry in, the desktop software pops up message: "Checking for device application updates....." and it hangs.
I've tried rebooting, re-installing the Desktop Software and sometimes this will solve the problem for a few syncs, but it always comes back.
I tried changing the USB connection from my USB hub directly into the back of the computer and this fixed the problem for a few syncs but now it's BACK AGAIN!!!
Please help!!I'm having this problem with Windows 7, build 7000. If I unplug my USB connection, the desktop manager seems to unblock, then stops again. Is there an issue with the device driver, jvm incompatabilities?

For some reason, after I reformatted my computer, Safari doesn't seem to load properly anymore. My other browsers are still fast, but my Safari isn't as fast as them like before I reformatted. Anyone know whats going on?
