== Description

I received an email saying that someone requested I change my password from mozilla tiki:
Hi rosemary,
Someone requested password reset for your account (support.mozilla.com).
Please click on the following link to confirm you wish to reset your password and go to the screen where you must enter a new "permanent" password. Please pick a password only you will know, and don't share it with anyone else.
''.... link removed by moderator. aw''
Done! You should be logged in.
Important: Username & password are CaSe SenSitiVe
Important: The old password remains active if you don't click the link above.
That is a copy of the email. I have not clicked on the link.
Is it legit or fake? Thanks. I could not find a place to report it.

Oh my god. Rosemary, that link there WILL be clicked by someone, at least by a webspider... So get ready to get your password reset...
Anyway, if it's from a legit email address, it's legit. If you didn't ask for a password reset (even though you're going to get it anyway, unless a moderator removes the link), just ignore the email. I myself have received a couple of such emails. Sometimes people mistype their email address. Other times they do that just to mess with people... Not really relevant if you didn't ask for it. Alas, ''no email'' is relevant if you don't want it.

Once again I'm being bombarded with fake emails supposedly from BT. All of this lot are headed "We need to confirm your BT account information."
I know enough about the problem to be able to spot the fakes - there have been dozens of threads on the topic - but what all these have in common is that they are using my email address as the sender.
If ever I need to send myself an email eg to test something I always use a different "From" address so is there NO way that BT can stop these i.e. by stopping those where the To and From email addresses are the same? Surely that possible in practice?
    Is cost the only barrier?

Not a good idea I'm afraid. A lot of people, myself included, Bcc a copy of sent mails to themselves for various reasons. I do it because I have all my devices set up for POP3 but I like to keep a copy of sent mails on my home PC. By sending myself a copy when I email someone  using my phone  means I can keep all my sent mails in one place.

  • So I created my Apple ID when I was 12 and used a fake email, now that I have a real email I can't remember the answered to my Apple ID therefore I cannot change it to my proper email. How do I change my email because?

HHow do I change the email to my apple id when I don't remember security questions and its a fake email?

Which email address are you trying to change ?
You won't be able to change the rescue email address until you can answer your security questions, if you can't remember your answers and gave a fake email address for it then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security
If your country isn't on that page then try this form to contact Support : https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset you can then change your rescue email address for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses
Or if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification : Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID
If it's the primary email address that you are trying to change : Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

  • Is it possible to email outside of organization?

    Hi,
Is it possible to email crystal reports (in excel spreadsheets)
to email accounts outside of the organization. I have no problem scheduling reports to internal email addresses, but everytime I schedule a report to an outside email the report fails with an error of:
      address error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: SMTP_E_MAILBOX_UNAVAILABLE_2(550)
We are using crystal server XI release 2.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
    Regards

    Hi Kyle,
I would suggest testing on the Job Server machine by using telnet to see if you can email externally from the command prompt.  Below is a link of how to use mailman:
    http://www.yuki-onna.co.uk/email/smtp.html
Are you able to schedule the report externally without an attachment?  I would also suggest speaking to your Exchange Server administrator.  There may be logs or restrictions for outgoing emails set on the mail server.

    Wallie

  • Fake email/Virus?

    Hello everyone,
I received a fake email from the "apple support team" saying that my account had been disabled for security reasons and that I should click on a link to confirm that I am the rightful owner of the account... The link redirects to this site: http://icouldneverbeadancer.com/wp-content/plugins/statpress/locale/onlinehome/
The address of the sender is [email protected]
Now the punch line: I inadvertently clicked on the link on my ipad mini, but closed the browser before it could open the page. I didn't get any alert or anything weird. Do you think there's any risk involved/should I do anything about it?
Belowe the text of the message, in case anyone else receives it.
    Thanks,
    Luca

  • When a Task is Completed - is it possible to email the Delegated By person

    Hello all,
I am just wondering if it is possible to email the Delegated By person on a Task once the Owner has Completed the Task.
If I select Relative User on Record I do not get an option of Delegated By.
If I select Specific Email Address I do not get an option of Delegated By email address.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance,
    Donal

    Donal,
I'm sure you must have also seen Activity Owner's Manager option under related user list. Currently there is no option that allows us to send email to Delegated by.
    An alternate would be
First call an Update After Wait Action and modify "Owner ID" field and assign it value of "Delegated By ID".
After this send email to owner as normal but the email will land to the delegated by user instead of the actual task owner since you swapped task owner with delegated by user.
Finally call Update After Wait Action again and modify "Owner ID" field again with "Delegated By ID" (i.e. swap back).
Caution: If you have any workflow that sends an email on task owner changed then that would conflict with this solution but nothing that you can't overcome.
    Regards,
    Abeer @ Sakonent

How do I stop getting notifications from the wrong instagram account on my iPhone?
Okay. So, I made a second instagram account with my friend for trolling, and I decided I wanted it out of my life, but forgot the password and used a fake email! I have no way of logging on or deleting the account, so I figured I would just forget about it. But after I logged back on to my regular one, I kept getting notifications from the fake account!! I don't know what to do because there are some vulgar things that keep popping up and I just want them gone! :'( Can anyone help??

  • OS X Server (10.6 Snow Leopard) -Possible to email updates to blog or wiki?

Wondering if it's possible to email-to-blog or email-to-wiki on OS X Server (Snow)?

The mail to wiki works by simply checking the 'Mailing List' option within the Wiki setting. This will create a mailing list for the wiki ( Refer /etc/aliases ) This mailing list can be emailed to, from outside and will appear as a update on the Wiki.
Add the users in the Wiki settings ad they will form the group for the mailing list as well.
    Good luck!

This say I should check my apple ID before it expire in 48h. On the site "http: //sercankara .com/securiteapple/8485d396b51c9007a26c4444296fcb95/" that really look like a applesite, they ask for all details and credits card. I didn't enter the last infos, because the site wasn't secure as it should b with apple. Can anyone confirm if it is a fake email?
    Thanks!
    <Link Edited By Host>

I can confirm that it's a fake. Apple will never route you to a web site on any domain other than their own for any reason, much less for any sort of access information or password change. The "sercankara.com" domain is registered to some user in Turkey and has nothing to do with Apple.

  • Is it possible to email Apple support?

I was going through the Apple Store and decided to apply for financing. I was approved with a limit that suited my needs but I was not logged in under my Apple ID at the time. I spoke online with an Apple rep and he apparently could not assign my finance account to my Apple ID. I don't always have time to call when I'm at work. Is it possible to email Apple and have them fix this issue?

Sorry, but Apple does not provide technical support nor customer support via email. But if you're in Canada and are applying for financing through Apple's partnership with Toronto Dominion, I don't see where in the application it ever asks for an Apple ID - when approved they send you an account number to use when you place your order - so I don't know if this links in any way. You'll have to call the Apple Store or TD to discuss it, though.
    Regards.
