ok so i am 17 and have the original iphone. I want to get 3gs but I need to switch from bieng under my bros plan to my sisters. What i want to know is can i go to an att store and buy my phone as an added line to my sisters plan. I was asking bc my friend said it was possible if i called my sister and had her talk to the clerk. IS this true ??????

Transferring from one account is easier than you think. Although it can be a bit of a hassle. First go to the store by yourself if you can and ask for a transfer of liability/responsibility form. Take it to your brother and sister have them fill it out respectively and you can either fax it in to the store or take it yourself. Its pretty simple. As far as what the other person said about buying the phone outright and waiting a year. Well thats fine if you have 700$ lying around to buy the phone outright at the no contract price.

Screen protectors are for protection against scratches, not for protection against the iPod being dropped. As to the case, you may wish to take this issue up with the case manufacturer, though again, most claim protection only against scratches and mars, not against being dropped. Either way, such damage is not covered by the devices. warranty.
As to cost, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here (as also mentioned by Limnos):

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty will be void.

Is is possible for me to get the apps my daughter purchased on my itunes account for her ipod touch over to her new itunes account

All content is tied to the account that purchased/downloaded it, and you can't copy or transfer them to other accounts - she should still be able use those apps if they are on the computer's iTunes that she syncs her iPod to.

How is it possible for iTunes to get worse with every update??

Seriously this is baffling me.
I hate the new Get Info box, the auto-fill is terrible because as soon as I hit space bar to finish off the album artist etc. it's like the spacebar acts the same as hitting enter.
I seem to notice that sometimes album artist or comments will disappear from the get info box despite me picking always show current fields
I also massively dislike the fact that say if i've searched for a particular album in my library and I wanna just listen to that for a while, as soon as i click on a different playlist like recently added or the itunes store, it will no longer just play my album but will play my entire library, it's like it's forgotten that i had searched just for that particular album, kinda like if on the older versions when you paused a song and went into a different playlist it forgot what you was listening to
just in general this feels really shoddy and a giant leap back, the only reason i'm reluctant to stop using is because it's easy to sync my iPhone through it and I use iTunes store a fair bit as it's normally quite alot cheaper than beatport etc
I really hope they have a serious look at improving on this because I just think it's really poorly laid out and not very easy on the eye

Unless you have enable Find My Phone there is nothing you can do to block it. All you can do is configure Find My Phone to go into Lost mode or to Erase the device. Neither of these will happen until it is connected to the Internet.

Is it possible for iPod to get a virus??

My iPod has been acting funny for several months. It usually works after I reset it. Lately after reseting it, I keep getting that folder with the exclamation mark. I have followed all the directions on the website (update iPod, update iTunes). Now my iPod only displays the apple icon as it does on start up, and it freezes that way. I am able to reset it but it displays the exclamation mark and immediately back to the apple. It will not even go into disk mode.
Is it possible that the songs I have been downloading could have caused this? How do I fix this problem? Is there any way to prevent this from happening in the future? Is there a virus scan I can use specifically on my iPod or can I use my Norton AntiVirus to scan iPod?
Please help, it is very lonely without iPod in the car!!

I live in a flat which already has a Sky broadband connection and phone line, but it's a bad connection and I would really rather get my own fiber optic line. I looked it up and read that it's possible to have more than one phone line and broadband connection in a house, but it wouldn't allow me to finalise it without agreeing to switch the current provider from Sky to BT. I can't do this because it's not my connection and the account holder is under contract.
Is it at all possible just to get my own line in?
