Possible iCloud/Oulook Fix

Not saying this will resolve everything but it should help
In Outlook click
File
Options
Add-ins
Click on iCloud Outlook Add-in
look towards bottom left for Manage
Click on COM Add-ins and select Disables Items and click go
Select Addin Icloud Outlook Add-in and click on Enable
You will need to close Oulook and WAIT about 30 seconds.
Restart outlook and the refresh button is back

Hi chrissyfromrenton,
you just have to close completely you Ipod (push 5-10 seconds on the button to open/close you ipod and slide the turn off) after open the ipod and it suppose to be correct I hope I answer to your question!

a couple others like/ch1/WEB-INF/classes/Ch1Servlet.class and /ch1/WEB-INF/web.xml. The WEB-INF folder is not public accessible, so forget about that part.
"Resource not found" simply means that either the URL is wrong (case counts!) or that the resource is actually not there. I.e. not compiled, not deployed, not loaded, etcetera. Reading the appserver's startup logs might also help.

Help with browser/cache Possible iCloud issue- I think

A few months ago I built a website through Volusion.com. I also bought my domain name through them: whisperingcreektradingpost.com
Shortly afterward I became dissatisfied with their service and chose to move to Shopify.com
In order to move my domain name, I had to transfer it to GoDaddy.com first and then follow Shopify instructions on how to have it point to my new store with them. IP address, etc.
So I did all that, and for a little while it seemed okay, but periodically would still point to the old Volusion store. Today, Shopify told me that I needed to make sure all the setting with them were set correctly and to also add the domain name without the “www” to the list of what would point to the domain name.
Everything in Shopify is now set so that the following three items all point only to the main domain name whisperingcreektradingpost.com
1. whisperingcreektradingpost.com
2. www.whisperingcreektradingpost.com
3. whispering-creek-trading-post.myshopify.com
For the rest of the day and still tonight, I cannot get to my Shopify store at all. Not on either of my desktops, laptop, two iPads, iPhone or iPod. Everything on my network takes me to the old Volusion store when I type in that domain. I even downloaded Chrome and tried that on the three computers, still no success.
Even when I am in my admin section ON the Shopify website, when I input the data for a product, save it, then click the link to view in browser- it STILL takes me to the old Volusion site- even from INSIDE my Shopify admin!!!
Over an hour on the phone with Shopify tech support did not clear it up. I cleared the data on every device on every browser. Restarted every device, etc. My daughter is next door with her own internet service account and can bring up my new site with no problem.
The internet service provider swears they cannot store anything like cookies or cache on the router so it is not on them, Shopify is able to get to my site with no problem. They told me that their only job is to make sure I have a connection to the internet. Period. And that the problem of not getting the ‘right one’ is not something they can help with and if they sent someone out to prove that I would be charged for the service call.
Is it possible that there are cookies/cache on the iCloud that keeps putting the information back on my devices? Is there some way that within my network they are all sending each other the case information before I can clear it?
I am the only one, and every device on my network, that cannot get any browser to go to the new website instead of the old one.
In addition, even with all the updates AND restarting several times, my internet connection is dragging something awful now.
Help.

The browser icon availability is controled by the carrier provisioning. Assuming that you have a BlackBerry specific data plan then your device is properly provisioned. All you should have to do to get the browser icon back is register your BlackBerry on the network.
Go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. Press the menu key and select Register Now. If the icon does not reappear after a minute or two them remove the battery for 10 seconds.

I suggest that you ignore the scratches.
It will get many more over time, as does anything that you use regularly.

Restore iPhone 4s as new - iTunes vs iCloud to fix bugs

What is the difference in restoring iPhone to new in iTunes verses? Trying to fix rapid battery drain issue as well as new ones i.e. when texting/emailing; in an app, etc. screen suddenly closes and goes to home screen and all info is lost in and have to start over with whatever I was doing...soooo frazzled!! What do I do?

Well...I deleted both my iTunes and iCloud backups and went through the whole "Restore as New" process. Wouldn't you know the issue still exists? I just can't understand how it stayed with the device even after starting from scratch. Beyond frustrating!

Possible iCloud related problem causing Mail to crash

Hi,
So, to begin a description of my issue, please could I ask you to take a quick scan of my thread over in the "Mail" section of the ASC here:

You will see that following a serious of updates I have a problem where my Mail client keeps unexpectedly quitting on start-up. Crash logs in the above thread.
I've tried all the obvious troubleshooting, but something occured to me:
I can check my mail on iCloud.com fine.
I can check my mail on my iPhone fine.
When I forced a reset of Mail by removing all the Mailboxes, preferences, caches etc associated with it, I was able to open it fine... no problem.
When I reconnected it to my iCloud accoutn (by checking the box in system preferences) it seemed to be working fine.
When I added back the mailboxes "On My Mac" it still seemed to be working fine.
It was only when it started checking for new mail, or perhaps doing some updating or syncing that it crashed again, and ever since it has been crashing on start-up again as per the original problem.
This leads me to think that perhaps the problem is iCloud related and not conencted to the Mail program itself (or Growl as originally though [see my original thread... and it has since been removed and not reinstalled]).
That, or, perhaps one or more of my emails contains an attachment or content which is causing the crash? Is this possible?
If so, how can I discover if this is the case, and which email it may be?
Or perhaps it is unrelated to the above to suggestions, but by posting here someone may be able to offer some further suggestions?

Right. So after a few weeks of putting up with this problem having tried every solution I could think of multiple times I booked myself into an Genius Bar session. Took it in, opened my laptop... bam... suddenly Mail is working fine again!!
Absolutely no idea why, or what the original problem was. Genius Bar gar couldn't spot anything in old crash logs that pointed to the problem... so the mystery remains! At least it works now.
Very irritating!

This is not exactly what I was thinking about:
I want that the planners can be informed in the BPS planning layout about about e.g. the date when material is available again.
There should be a text saying: "Material xyz is not available until Oct 1st, 2008"
Additionally, the user should have the opportunity to give comments on their planning data.
Any idea?

Is it possible to RESET Fixed Asset Module to the first day we installed it

We setup our Fixed Assets module months ago and now realised that we need to have a clean FA Module, so that we can restructure it the way we need. (New categories, new assets, etc.)
I was wondering if there is a concurrent program or another kind of program to basically RESET the FA (Like resetting it to default).
I know, this sounds something almost impossible, but I would appreciate any kind of help.

Try this. Disconnect all cables from your Macbook. Flip it upside down, remove the battery.
Open the Macbook back up and press and hold the power button for at least ten full seconds.
Replace the battery, start up, try wireless networking.
This has **** worked for me for like the past 20 minutes. I haven't been so lucky since I got this computer!
Next, going to try linux.

You're correct, the wifi stopped working this morning. It didn't do it for no reason, though... Here's what happened.
My cable modem wasn't getting a downstream. My wireless was still fine, but I had to reset the cable-to-wireless gateway router. I turned my airport off, reset it, and then reconnected. It did the familiar timeout thing a few times in a row, but finally I got the thing to connect. My internet was sluggish and eventually stopped.
I did the battery fix and now it's back up and running again. Weird.

I setup win2008R2 Application server on Azure VM and setup Azure VPN for local address 10.0.0.0/24 and VNET? for 10.0.1.0/24 and default gateway 10.0.1.0/25 though I do not get exact meaning of this network settings.
By default VM OS IP setting, it get IP address through DHCP.

If I make Azure VPN, it is assigned the specified range automatically ? ( in this case, 10.0.1.0/24 ).

For general information:
Gateway - Usually this is your router. When you talk about your gateway, generally you are talking about the ip address your router uses.
NAT - Network Address Translation. When your router is using nat, it is taking data from one Public IP address, and breaking that data into multiple private ip addresses. Data is sent to your network on a public ip address, from the internet. Using nat your router then directs that data, to multiple internal private ip addresses. Nat basically breaks one ip into many.
IP Addresses :
1-External (Public) IP Address - Every computer/server that has a public ip address is directly connected to the internet. Usually DLS/cable routers are assigned a public ip address by the ISP they are connecting to.
(The Dynamic/Static relates to how an ip address is assigned.)
a) Static : Your ISP assigns an IP number and cannot be change by user (client).
To do : If you want to change it by any reason, call your ISP and ask them to change your IP number.
b) Dynamic : Your ISP assigns an IP number and you can change it. This means that every time your DSL modem is rebooted, your ISP assigns a new IP number for it.
To do : Turn your modem off/on. (Wait for 15 seconds between off/on.)
2-Internal (Local) IP Address - If you are using NAT, every computer on your network has one of these ip addresses. These IP addresses are provided by your router. Your entire network can see this ip address. Computers on the outside of your network can not, because your router "hides" private ip addresses.

HT202303 Where/how can I contact Apple about a possible iCloud security breach/hack?

I was just sent an odd email from... My own iCloud email account. (Thankfully I literally have never used it; still I'd like to have Apple security investigate.)
I'm not finding a path to contact an appropriate Apple agent. Any ideas?

When people receive emails which appear to come from their own address but they haven't sent they naturally tend to be concerned: however it's most unlikely that anyone has hacked their account, they've just been targeted by one of two common spammers' techniques: both arise because it's all too easy to forge the 'from' address on messages to be something other than the real one.
There are two things that can happen. One is that the sender has forged the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address (so other people will see it coming from themselves, not you), presumably in the hope of confusing spam filters. It's harmless, if extremely annoying. Delete it (never ever answer spam or try to unsubscribe from it), and you don't need to be worried about it.
The other problem is that a spammer is forging your address as the 'from' address on a whole batch of messages. The first thing you hear about this is when you start getting bounce messages because the spam has been sent to non-existent addresses and is being bounced to you. There's no point at all in responding to it. It's infuriating but normally stops after a bit as they move on to another forged address.
There isn't really anything you can do about it: closing the account isn't really worth the hassle unless you are totally swamped, because you will have to tell everyone your new address. Apple can't really do any more than they already are about spam.

Any possible way to fix error code 28? Restore doesn't work and my ipod won't turn on.

One day my ipod just wouldn't turn on and from then on it has been a total black out. I have plugged it into iTunes and it has notified me that the ipod is in recovery mode. I tried to restore the iPod but right at the end it brings up the error code of 28.
I don't want to fork out a lot of money for a new ipod, so if anybody could help me that would be great. Please share your knowledge if you have experienced this and know how to fix it, your help would be great. Thanks!

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Note it could be a hardware problem If you can't get it to work an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Q180 Bugs for possible BIOS update/Fix

Okay it seems that the Q180 is a buggy little devil and it seems some of the more annoying and bizzare issues could well be fixed with a BIOS update.
Please list below any pet peeves you have that could well require looking at and including in a BIOS update.
If ever one is ever to appear.
Some for starters -
Bizzare analogue audio wont function if install DVD booted in anything other than legacy mode.
Strange suspend/shoutdown behaviour.
No AHCI option for SATA.
No CPU/GPU/RAM tweaking (c'mon guys these Atom machines need all the help they can get!)
