This is the sequence.
First entered * 67 (cancels caller id)
Next entered toll free 800 number.
Automated voice prompt system clicks in on the phone line.
Recorded menu Prompts to enter 1 for "english"
Pressed the keyboard button on the display to rotate numbers forward to dial.
Screen would not "flip" to reveal the keys to press. Pressing button had no result.
Had to hang up.
Try it and see if you can duplicate.

Dialing *67 before any phone number you dial will block your phone number from who you are calling.
Unfortunately you need to do that every time you dial a number if your are trying to block your number. From the iPhone the person called will see the word "PRIVATE".
From a regular desk phone, the person called sees the word "BLOCKED".
I personally like the use of "PRIVATE"
If you want your number permanently blocked you need to call AT&T for the iPhone and they will remove your name from the data transmitted.
I had my first name changed from what was being transmitted but I did not block a name from being transmitted.
It may take several hours to accomplish after the AT&T CSR makes the change because doing this requires that a nationwide data base be changed.

This is highly important. I know the number from which the voicemail arrived, but have not been able to figure out how to retrieve it. I accidentally had the voicemail in the Deleted Messages folder, and then Cleared this folder. If there is any possible way I might be able to retrieve this message, even if there is a cost associated with it, please help me.

Your device can hold apps from multiple IDs, but to update them you have to swicth identities which is time consuming. If possible use only the one ID. If you need to reset the password for your old ID visit My Apple ID.

ITunes 7.3.1 may include iPhone patches

I tried to take my iPhone back today, primarily because the software seems not yet polished enough for me (I was having mail problems with iPhone not closing the connection to my POP server between mail updates).
I was told that iTunes 7.3.1 includes several iPhone related patches, which were not being publicized, and specifically that they were not mentioned on the web site.
This was just enough to get me to keep the phone and try it again after 7.3.1.
Perhaps this was just a sales pitch, but my gut told me it was (1) the truth (at least as the speaker knew it) and (2) from a likely reliable source. In which case, does anyone know what these patches might be?

Well, could be true, but not necessarily true. I worked on the Mach kernel before it became part of the NeXT OS before it became part of OS X. I've hand decompiled linker binaries to patch in new machine code to add features to software the developers didn't want people touching. Doesn't mean I'm not gullible or a fool, but on the other hand Apple has been known to take steps to make it hard and time consuming to figure out things they don't want people to figure out, and they don't always publicly announce the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. So, if someone snoops the USB bus and says they don't seem to be seeing anything that looks like code, I'd put some weight in that. Otherwise, with this new piece of hardware and new protocols, I'd say there is room for doubt about what Apple is doing.
This Apple employee told me there were six specific 7.3.1 patches to iPhone that were described in general terms in an internal memo today, they were to be applied to store demo phones, none seemed to be email related, so I should not expect my problem to be fixed, but perhaps I'd like to see for myself. So... I'm simply asking if anyone has heard a similar story.
(I've gotten the message that many people are certain there are no iPhone patches in 7.3.1. If someone wants to post that again, feel free, but it doesn't address my actual question - whether anyone has heard the opposite from possibly believable sources. If in 48 hours no one reports such info, I'll take that as evidence against what I was told.)

iTunes will need to be set up on your computer however you can set up a new Apple ID to use for your iPhone. Really all you need to do is Assign a new Apple ID to your iCloud account.

After you do that, on the device you want to assign a new iCloud account go: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign in with the new Apple ID.
NOTE: This does not effect iTunes, all of your devices can continue to use one shared iTunes account under your original Apple ID for downloading apps and backups. This simply gives iCloud a place to sync the individual devices information and will stop iCloud form merging all the information, such as contacts, with all of your devices.

It's strange because I can change my AppleID country without this message.
So what to do? Just try to do this again, but on another device. You may also erase cookies and history of your browser.

Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.

Hi,
Check the patch README file and it should tell you. For the application patches, you need to enable maintenance mode in general before applying any patch. You may use "options=hotpatch" to apply the patch online without enabling maintenance mode but it depends on what patch you are applying, the size of the patch, and modules it is affecting. For patchsets, family packs, minipacks, and AD/FND patches, it is better you enable maintenance mode before applying the patch. For small patches which only need to replace a package with a new one you can apply the patch online.
The best practice is to try your patching on a TEST instance first and see how it works. Please remember you would need to shutdown the application services on Windows if relinking executable files is required, otherwise the patch will fail and you will have to run it again after stopping the services.

Need help to find out whether Peopletools patches need to be applied on PS_CFG_HOME also along with PS_HOME?

The *cfg are not touched by the patches, so PS_CFG_HOME is not directly touched until you reconfigure the domain.
On the other hands, the patch may or may not modify the cfx/ubx (in PS_HOME)... which are used to create/reconfigure the domain configuration files (in your PS_CFG_HOME), in that case only you'll have to reconfigure your domain.
I do not see any reason to apply patch in PS_CFG_HOME, and if it happened, then except it is dirty, it will probably do not harm if and only if you continue to use PS_HOME to run psadmin.
