  • How can i sent a request to apple support? i want to request if it is possible some apps for apple tv please

    Hi again
I am from Panama, and i am using apple tv, i bought it cuz i wanted to used hbo go and fox play apps, also netflix and crackle wich they are already installed on the apple tv, but hbo go and fox play dont, i use them thru airplay, hbo go is really good cuz i dont need to duplicate the screen of my iphone, and i can still use my phone and apps while hbo go is playing thru airplay but fox play dont work that way, i have to duplicate the screen and you all might know, its really high battery consuming while seeing a movie etc, so to the point, i would like to request if apple support can add hbo go and fox play native apps on apple tv for Panama, if it i not possible how can i do with fox play would apple support repair it? i mean that it only works thru airplay on duplicate screen if it is possible to work like hbo go?
    thanks

Proper agreements need  to be made before apps can be added, there may also be other things preventing it, those are currently only available in the US. As for AirPlay, that is up to the developer to enable in the IOS app. They also have the choice to block that functionality.

  • Why does Adobe make it so very difficult to report a possible phishing scam that uses its name/logo?

--and possibly even hijacks information from its Web site?  I'm a veteran user of computers/digital products/software programs/email clients, and I'm very concerned that, as careful as I am, I may have been "phished" early this morning in connection with my legitimate online purchase of the ExportPDF program for my home computer.  Had a cordial exchange with one of Adobe's customer reps, who directed me to the piracy site, even though this is not really a piracy issue.  Other forms requre types of technical information that simply don't apply to this type of interaction.  Does anybody at the company care that their products and resources may be being misused for fraudulent ends?

Please notify Adobe of any security issues here:

  • Possible Phishing Scam on Text

I just received a text from [email protected]
WARNING: please visit us now to avoid service interruption:
    Http//www.theloc.com/verizon/members.php
When I entered that address I was asked security questions including SS# and credit card info. Nothing else on the page was a live link, which is what made me suspicious. THIS IS FRAUD...do not enter any personal information. Verizon would not ask for a full social security number!!
    Happy Holidays.

There are several similar threads on this forum that were started within the past few days.  Unfortunately, it looks like the scammers have moved from phone calls and e-mails to texts.

  • Phishing scam for iTunes

I received an email this morning from a dodgy "Apple account review department"
It has a spelling mistake in it...takes me to a website that asks me to login to my account (and it isnt https so obviously I havent logged in via this site)
just wondered whether anyone else has received one of these emails recently??
wanted to send it to apple but has anyone tried to find an email address on the apple website recently??
    john

I got this one too - from "iTunes Store <[email protected]>
Aside from 'replay' instead of 'reply' it came through as raw html, so I didn't click on the link. Subject was: "Billing Problem" - text warns me that a third party has accessed my account.
Logged into my account the regular way and there is no billing problem.
Forwarded this to [email protected], on advice below.

  • I'm fairly new to Apple - is this a phishing scam email?

Just had this addressed to my email address, suspect that it's a phishing scam and to be ignored.
Dear Customer,  We need to ask you to complete a short and brief step to securing and validating your account information.
Failure to complete our validation process will result in a suspension of your Apple ID. We take every step needed to automatically validate our users, unfortunately in your case we were unable to. The process only takes a couple of minutes and will make sure there is no interruption to your account.
Wondering why you got this email?
This email was sent automatically during routine security checks. We are not completely satisfied with your account information and require you to update your account to continue using our services uninterrupted. For more information, see our FAQ. Thanks,
    Apple Customer Service
    Should I just delete?

Note that if you hover your cursor over the "click here to complete validation" link and look at the URL it's really going to, it directs you to:
    http://www.agaxonline.com/nueva/language/en-AU/online/transaksion/users/verfied/ canada.php
Apple would never use some third-party web site, or anything other than their own apple.com domain, for any of their services related to your Apple ID.
This is a quick way to see if a link in any email really is going where it claims it is, something you should always do, particularly when you've received an email you weren't expecting.
    Regards.

  • Where do I forward an e-mail message that say it's from Apple, but appears to be a phishing scam?

I received an email with a reply address of [email protected]
Here is the body of the message:
"As we strive to secure your account, please be informed to upgrade to our latest security platform *****
Your privacy and protection is our concern.
    Apple Support"
However, the embedded link does not go to a secure Apple site.  Attempts to forward the e-mail to Apple get a reply stating that messages are not monitored.  Anyone know where I should send the e-mail?  TIA

Here's the Apple paper on the topic. It seems the scammers are hard at work. Your post is the second in a short while reporting a phishing scam.

  • Is it possible for Apple to add "key" to the view options selection?

Is it possible for Apple to add "key" to the view options selection?

DJ1970,  Unfortunately no.  iTunes does not have the key in the database.
People who want to know the key of a song can use (unless they already have perfect pitch!) key detection software such as Mixmeister.
Once you know the key, iTunes does not even have a field to store it, although you could stick it into Comments or some other unused text field such as Grouping.  These fields are indeed viewable in iTunes.

  • Just got an e mail to say that my Apple ID was just used to download photoshop touch for phone for 2.99 from the App Store with a receipt number. Is this a scam for me to give my Apple ID?

Just got an e mail to say that my Apple ID was just used to download photoshop touch for phone for 2.99 from the App Store with a receipt number. Is this a scam for me to give my Apple ID?

No but there's a link to reset your password. Etc etc..
This is the email I got.
"Your Apple ID was just used to download Photoshop Touch for phone £2.99 from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.
If you initiated this download, you can disregard this email. It was only sent to alert you in case you did not initiate the download yourself.
If you did not initiate this download, we recommend that you go to iforgot.apple.com to change your password, then see Apple ID: Tips for protecting the security of your account for further assistance.

  • Adobe Air Initiates the wrong launch Image on iPhone 6 - Possible App Rejection by Apple Review Team for all developers

I've opened a bug for this issue as well. I want to ask if anyone experiencing the same issue and has found a workaround.  Basically Air Runtime is picking up the wrong launch image when launching on iPhone 6. It defaults to [email protected] instead of the [email protected] iOS 8 picks the correct image but Air Runtime does not. Here is the link for the bug. If this is confirmed, this could result in rejection for all the app developers who optimized their apps for iPhone 6 . It is hard to catch this bug in release mode since the Air Runtime loads pretty fast and it occurs when you device is slow or doing something in the background. You can see it easily on iOS simulator or debug mode. We tried everything for a workaround but we failed.
Bug#3831747 - Adobe Air Initiates the wrong launch Image on iPhone 6 - Possible App Rejection by Apple Review Team for a…

Apple recommends the storyboard/xib option but you can still use launch images as assets in your root. When you open a new project in xcode you can look at Contents.json and see the naming conventions they use for iOS8. We grabbed the new naming convention from here. Also setting up in the application xml the UILaunchImages key works too. Please see the below example. It would be a better solution if Adobe Air refers to xml/info.plist values that the developer sets instead of hard-coded naming conventions.
    <key>UILaunchImages</key>
      <array>
          <dict>
              <key>UILaunchImageMinimumOSVersion</key>
              <string>8.0</string>
              <key>UILaunchImageName</key>
              <string>Default-667h</string>
              <key>UILaunchImageOrientation</key>
              <string>Portrait</string>
              <key>UILaunchImageSize</key>
              <string>{375, 667}</string>
          </dict>

  • Is it possible to change the Apple ID for my macbook pro?

Is it possible to change the Apple ID for my macbook pro? My laptop is currently registered under my husband`s ID, and I would like to change it to my apple ID so I can install changes / updates (as we are now separated). Would appreciate any help.

In your post you have indicated that the MBP has Snow Leopard (10.6.8) installed.  You will have to use the original OSX disk and slide it into the DVD drive on startup holding the C key.  Then you follow the instructions on the display.
Worst case is to take it to an Apple store and have them assist you in the installation process.
    Ciao.
