Possible service repair problem

I just submitted a request to repair my Ipod, via drop off at an UPS location. The message afterwords said to take it to an UPS store immediately, and that they'd recieve a confirmation email within an hour. Well, I figured that I could drop off my ipod tomorrow considering that all UPS stores near me are closed. Is this going to mess up my repair status? Or is it okay to take it in tomorrow?

What are you trying to do? What sort of data source is SHALL-PCAdventureWorksDw?
When you use EXEC() AT, I would execpt to see an SQL string to be passed to EXEC(), but you are passing an XML string????

Apple TV Service/Repair

Hi everyone,
Well my Apple TV has a problem: it worked fine up till about 2 months ago and now it displays no picture, iTunes doesn't recognise it and all I get is a flashing amber light. Does anyone know if this is a specific problem - I've tried flicking through video outputs and tried HDMI and component connections but nothing. Anyway I'm trying to get it repaired and here's the kind of embarrassing thing - I can't work out how to do it through the Apple site!
I got my iPod repaired fine but if I go to Service/Repair hardware there is no 'Apple TV' button and if I 'Check my warranty' there doesn't seem to be any way of getting it serviced. I must be being dumb here as I know it's protected by a one year warranty.
Anyone see where I'm being stupid?

About 2 months ago my first ATV died with the flashing amber light. (Hard drive failure.) I took mine to the nearest Apple store where it was replaced on the spot. New one works fine.
If you are not near an Apple store, why not just call Apple customer service.

No, iPhone warranty is not International. You have to return the phone to the country you purchased the phone in to get warranty service.

this sounds as though there was a big problem on the camera that shot the footage. motors went wonky ? does not matter now of course.
try and get the footage into your machine as clean as poss (as studio x mentioned a TBC can help here) then play around with time remap on your clip to try and get it right...It will be a bit suck it and see but you should get it sorted

This has been Apple's policy since the original iPhone was introduced in 2007. The warranty is NOT international, and even without warranty, Apple rarely will perform any service on a phone purchased elsewhere.
You don't have to like it or agree with it, put the policy stands. Your other option is to use a 3rd party repair shop.

HT1310 Ongoing permission repair problems --- is there a way to prevent or limit them from happening?

I seem to have Ongoing permission repair problems; I repair them (and there's lots to repair) and then not even a week or two later I check permissions and again huge repair job needed. Any idea why this keeps happening? Am I chasing symptom of larger/different issue?

The best thing for you to do is stop repairing permissions unless you are getting permissions errors relating to system files.
You are presently getting what sound like recurring but innocuous messages you can safely ignore. But unless you post something here to see, we have no clue what you are seeing.

OS 10.7.5 W' permissions repair problems. How to fix it?

Something doesn’t sound right. The messages shouldn’t be ignored if you restart the Disk Utility app and the same permission errors show up. I’ve even rebooted the OS and found the same errors. I also mistrust the file check function (vs Drive Genius reports).

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. Yu can make an appointment at the the Genius Bar of an Apple store or try:

OK, then pls follow below steps;
- Go to step 'Create Users' in solman_setup System Preparation scenario and make sure the user SM_INTERN_WS has a green status. Use the 'Test Login' button to make sure the user is not locked and has correct credentials maintained in solman_setup
- Immediately after checking the user status, navigate to Configure Connectivity->Enable Web Services and execute again the 'Create Logical Ports' automatic activity, in order to propagate the correct credentials to the Logical Port definitions.
- If the above operation is not successful, repeat the two steps above, providing a different user Id in 'Create Users' step, eg SM_INTERN_W1. This will prevent situations where the user gets locked by Logical Ports using an obsolete password.

There was page on the apple web where you can download a service repair manual. I think is on the apple support page. There was service source package for almost every machine out there. For some reason all I can find now is the user guide
Has that page been move? It was accessible before. Does anyone know where I might find this page? I Google it and I see people selling the service source which was meant to be free.

for which machine? they never fully released a total service guide PDF for most macs to the public, just for certain parts. you have to be an apple authorized service provider to get these types of manuals.
the only other option is to find DIY guides done by others for whatever task you have at hand.

Typically the "No suitable driver exists" error is due to trying to connect to an unsupported DB version with the driver. For example using the MSSQL 2000 driver to connect to MSSQL 2005, be sure that you have downloaded both the MSSQL 2000 (una2000.jar) and 2005 jars and have the proper classpaths specified.
