Possible to add a watermark across sections?

Hello,
I have a document with many sections.
I'm trying to add a watermark to all sections, but the option under format/advanced only allows "add to section master"
Is there a way to add a watermark to all sections, so I don't have to go one by one pasting it?

Yes, it is reasonable to assume that. In fact, it's an obligation in the part of the desinger to assume the reasonable, and then the unreasonable. For a product geared to the open market, to whoever decides to buy it (old, young, male, female, American, Asian, European, Middle Eastern, with a PhD or without schooling...) it is a mistake of humangous proportions to force a user to work in the order of events that a designer believes to be logical. Why must a watermark be set only at the beginning, during the planning stage? Particularly when headers and footers can change at any time, across sections.
You have the perfect example in front of you. Two different people with two opposite views of the logical.

You can include a water mark when priting by selecting the "Watermark" section from the print dialog.:
If this watermark feature is part of the printer driver and you don;t have this feature you can add a text box, then rotate the box 45 deg, make the font the color and texture you want, then copy and paste it to each page of you document:
You can place this text below ar above other content as you see fit by using the menu item "Arrange > Bring To Front" or "Arrange > Send To Back"

The business users have identified when creating user groups they need to identify a specific set of users to
place in the user groups. The idea was to take custom attribute as a filtering
method. It appears that when using the "ADD BY ATTRIBUTE" feature in Ilearning
it treats the attributes with the condition of "OR" and not "AND" i.e ( see
supporting document) we two attributes city code and job code. We need to be
able for ilearning to say , include all users that have a city code 'X' AND and
job code 'Y'. Currently we are experiencing the application utilizing an OR
statment city code 'X' OR job code 'Y'.
Is this intended functionality?
If so is there a upgrade realease to include an AND statement?
Is there a current solution to this issue , if not has there been a proposed one or what have

User Group and Enrollment conditions currently only support OR conditions and this is intended functionality. There is an existing enhancement request to support AND functionality.
One typical workaround today is to create a single custom attribute that stores the combinations

Add saved Watermark to Document

Hello!
I would like to use the SDK to write an application that adds watermarks to given PDF-Documents. The Acrobat-Version is 9.3. The watermarks are already saved in the Acrobat installation as "saved settings" (userprofile\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Preferences\Watermark\...xml). I've found the functions addWatermarkFromFile (which accepts PDF-Documents) and addWatermarkFromText, but I can't find an option to use a "saved watermark". Is this even possible?

Thanks for the reply. IMO it would make sense!
I've already thougth about that solution. The saved settings are stored in an XML-File, so I can easily parse that files and use the watermarkFromText-function to add the watermark. Probably the same procedure as Acrobat itself does it.

By album do you mean a book? If you mean a book then the answer is only if you use the one theme that provides a text box for each photo, Folio, which only has a 2 photos per page layout.
If you want to add text directly on the photo you would need to use a 3rd party image editor or a watermark application.

You will need to use a 3rd party image editor, Preview or a watermarking application. 3rd party editors can be configured to work from inside iPhoto as can Preview. Preview can add text via its Annotation capability and is alread on your Mac.

A slide show can be quite long as you all know and the same music continusly repeated can become boring.
Is it possible to add several songs to the slide show to overcome this problem?

One thing you can do to make it all turn out even--think about how long each slide is going to display, say you want about 3 seconds per slide, multiply by the number of slides, say you have 100 slides (I picked those numbers so the arithmetic would be easy!). That's a total of 300 seconds. Divide by 60 seconds per minute to get the number of minutes, in this case that would be 5 minutes. Then when you make your playlist in iTunes find music that fits the mood of the show and that totals a little more than 5 minutes (and is NOT Protected, as Terence mentioned). Back in iPhoto select your Playlist in the Music section and then check the box to have the slideshow fit the music, and iPhoto will adjust the display time so that everything runs the same length of time. Export to iDVD and burn your disk.
Personally, I like to get a little fancier, so I export my slideshow without sound, then open the project in iMovie HD and make a layered soundtrack, where I arrange the music and sound effects, as in this one:

It has the music, plus a coffee gurgle, birds tweeting, page flips and a lion roar at the end. Once it's built you can send it to iDVD at full size and/or, as I did here, make a small streaming web version to share over the Internet. Afraid I haven't worked that much with iMovie 08, but I believe you can do something along the same lines.

Newbie alert! How to add a watermark

Maybe I just missed this in the manual. I admit to being greener than grass with this sort of software. And as much as I search the 'help' pdf that came with 1.1, I still can't figure this out.
I've created a plate, and the name shows up all nice and pretty when I start Lightroom.
But I can't figure out how to add a watermark to a picture.
Specifically, I'd prefer to add it on import of the RAW file, but I'd settle for being able to add a watermark on the creation of a jpg file.
Currently I take the jpg into photoshop where I have a watermark layer that I apply.
But I'd rather not leave lightroom at all, if possible. That's kinda the point of getting Lightroom.
Any help or guidance that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that was the year I was born.
So now I've figured out how to add the meta data. I've even created a metadata template that gets applied when I import. This is a good thing.
When I check the exported jpg files, the extended properties include the copyright information that my template entered. Yet another good thing
however...
There is no watermark on the jpg!
Yes, the "Add copyright watermark" option is checked in the "Image Settings" area of the export. (If I could figure out how to attach the screen print, I'd show you.) And the copyright information shows up in the extended properties of the jpg. But no watermark.
If it is relevant, I am using Vista with Lightroom 1.1
I really did rtfm. And I thought I had it figured out after a bit of hacking. But I was wrong.
Suggestions?

Yes, you can. There are a couple of ways to approach it.
The first is to simply include the folder, and have some kind of written instruction on the DVD, or in the box, as to how to find them. So there's no intelligent linking between the DVD video and the extra content. To accomplish this, create a folder manually in the Finder (eg "Temp"), create a subfolder within it called, for example "Extra Content", and then find the "DVD-ROM" section in the Inspector, tick "Content" and browse for your parent (Temp) folder. The Temp folder does not get added to the DVD, but its contents (the Extra Content folder) does.
The second is to make the DVD more interactive by making links between the DVD content and the additional material. So, for example, you can build a button which automatically opens a Finder window of the Extra Content folder. You should look at the "DVD@ccess" feature in the Help menu / user guide to find out more. This tends to be less reliable, since Mac users have to set DVD Player to use DVD@ccess links, and PC users have to install a piece of software that DVD Studio Pro puts onto the DVD.
If possible, I would recommend the former, just because it's easy and doesn't depend on extra software.

I'm looking for a way i can batch add watermarks to a video?
But rather than add the same watermark to say, 50 videos... I want to add 50 watermarks, to the same video? So if i have 50 different watermarks and 1 video, i'll end up with 50 videos each with a unique watermark?
Is it possible to achieve this without doing it manually? in After Effects or any other Adobe software..

The way that I would do this would be to bring all the water marks you want to use into Premiere.
Lets say they are just the watermark and nothing else (no background etc), import them all into Premiere and load each one onto the video. You would then need to go ahead and export or queue as you go, or you could make 50 timelines and queue them all and let it run out all the exports.
You should be able to re position and change opacity from premiere if you needed.

Write a pgm to take many PDFs and add a watermark

I need to run a program on a system that needs to take many pdfs and add a watermark or logo to it on each page.
Is this possible and is it allowed?
This may run in a windows service and check if there are any pdfs in a drive, if it is there, it will take it and put a watermark in it and save it.
I hope that while printing, the watermark should not print over the text that is on it. thanks
