Possible to add time of last post on forum home pa...

Is it possible to have the time of the last post on the main forum home page as it currently shows what toppic the last post was in but dosent show what time or who by if you made the last post and are waiting for a reply having this info visable would save having to reload the page just to see there has been no update so what do people think about this?

can you not do that already using settings, subscriptions & bookmarks, options, notify me for my own posts and replies?

    I created a blog in iWeb and all is great, but I want to be able to add posts from other computers (yes, Macs with iWeb). How do I access the iWeb file that has my template, etc? I looked in my iDisc, but couldn't find a recognizable file that I could open and add to. Is this even possible? Am I better off doing this via blogspot? Also, if this is indeed possible, can I do it from a computer that is using iWeb '07 (or whatever the version before '08 was)?

    Hi Steve,
    To edit one website from two different computers you have to transfer the Domain.sites2 file where iWeb stores its files. To find that file go to
    User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2
    If you can’t find it here search for it with spotlight. Note that the extension .sites (iWeb 1.0) or .sites2 (iWeb 2.0) may be hidden, also search for Domain only. To see if a Domain file is iWeb ’06 or iWeb ’08 select the file press Command(Apple)+i under "Name & Extension" you will find that it is .sites or .sites2.
    To get the site showing up in iWeb just open the Domain.sites file by double clicking on it and your sites and pages will show up on the left side in the iWeb page browser. Note that the location, where you put the file, doesn’t matter.
    BEST SOLUTION: If you put the Domain file on a USB-Stick (USB flash drive) all you have to do is plug the usb stick in one of the computers and double click the Domain file on the USB flash drive (without moving it to the computer!). It will open in iWeb and save changes to the USB stick, plug it into the second computer and same thing. You could publish a site from both the computers without missing data and without fearing of overwriting the older with the newer file.
    Without the Domain file you can't edit the site in iWeb, sorry.

    Any time i log in from the forum loginpage, i get a page not found error.
    Java forum administartors should indicate what could be causing the problem. Each time i sign in, i get a page not found error on IE.
    Another "bug" now that i use to enter is to sign in for a new account after and then click on post a new topic, i suddenly just find my self logged in.

    To create a shared stream, select a number of photos, tap the share icon and chose cloud.

  • Last Post Date (and Time?)

    Before the last revision of Discussions format the My Subscriptions page under Last Post the date of the last post in a forum or category was listed along with _the time_ of the post. This was a very helpful feature as one could scan the list and see if there were any new entries in a forum or category. Now we still have the date (Aug 29, 2007), but no time listed. Should we expect the time to be listed before long, or is that a casualty of the new dispensation? And if it has been removed, does anyone have an idea of why?

    I hope you will forgive my saying so, but sarcasm does not become you.
    As a Level 4, you have the facility to post such a question in the FHB in the Lounge, where it can receive the attention of the Hosts and all the other Lounge Lizards who have that special 'inside' information.
    This particular forum will only attract attention mostly from the fringe dwellers such as myself, who are not likely to have access to or the freedom to publicly disclose the information which you require.

    We are on BPC 7.  Our time dimension has the normal Year, Quarter, Month rollup. 
    Is it possible to add an "All_time" member to the time dimension that would have all years rolling up to it or are our only choices Year, Halfyear, Quarter, Month, Week, or Day?

    TOTAL is not a valid selection for LEVEL.  Did you create this "TOTAL" manually some how?  I have seen "TOTAL" as a period but never a level.  Do you have a dimension file that you can get to work with this example in APPSHELL that you could share?
    According to the BPC Admin documentation it only comes with YEAR, HALFYEAR, QUARTER, MONTH, WEEK, DAY as valid options.  How do you get the TOTAL member added as a valid option for the LEVEL property:

    You actually have a choice of both Norsk Nynorsk and Norsk Bokmål.
    First select your text then:
    +Inspector > Text (T tab) > More > Language > Norsk Nynorsk / Norsk Bokmål+
    The method is to label the language you want to spell check with its native dictionary. So having done the above, when you spell check it will now use the Norwegian dictionaries.

    If you don't see the Norwegian options it is because you haven't added them in the International preferences in your System preferences:
    +Menu > Finder > System Preferences… > International > Language > Edit List… > Norsk Nynorsk and Norsk Bokmål > OK+
    If you drag them to the top of your language list they become the System language. If you leave them lower down they are available in other menus such as Pages Inspector palette.

    I don't know features available in Excel.
    Sometimes ago I posted an AppleScript which may perhaps fit your needs.
    If you insert in a table pathnames of files stored in your HD, select the cell, trigger the script, open the file.

  • Is it possible to add reverb to vocal mic, without affecting my keyboard sound?

    Hello,
    I am trying to record my vocals and piano simultaneously. I'm using the MBox 2, with Adobe Audition 3.0. Whenever I add reverb to my vocal track (via the fx tab under my vocal track in multi track view), it affects the way my piano sounds while I am recording (it creates a delay on the sound of the keyboard while I am playing...almost like a 'bouncing note' delay). I really want to be able to hear some reverb on my voice while recording, but I cannot seem to figure out how to do it. This is how I have everything set up:
    Piano is plugged in via DI on input 2 on the back of the mbox
    vocal mic is plugged in via cannon on input 1 on back of mbox
    If anybody could help, that would be wonderful. I've spent hours trying to figure this out with no luck. It is a lot more fun to record your singing with a bit of the pretty reverb....but my piano doesn't agree.

    Thanks for your help again. I have spent the last 6 hours running into nothing but problems. I tried your advice about recording mono in both separate tracks, and still no luck. I was using a condenser mic, and a keyboard. Both using mono, and I was using the studio reverb. I finally decided to try something simpler, just so I could at least feel a bit satisfied in getting a recording in. I set the condenser mic near my keyboard and speakers, and plugged my keyboard into the speakers. I armed the one mic track for record for phantom power, applied studio reverb, and set up the correct settings for the track by going into Audio Hardware Setup and selecting 'Asio Digidesign Driver' as the audio driver for everything. I simply wanted to play my piano, which would sound through the monitors next to me, and sing into the microphone..which would pick up my vocals with the piano in the background. The only way I could hear reverb on my voice during the recording, was by adjusting the 'mix' knob on the front of the mbox. It seemed to be working okay, and I thought I had found at least a compromise for the moment. But after saving the files, and upon listening to them...I noticed drops and rises/glitches/ in the recording volume. I then did a bunch of tests. I recorded some without any reverb assigned at all, did some recordings with the mix knob up and some with it off...I tried everything I could think of. I saved each one as a wav file, and MP3, just to see if that would affect the sound. Listening to them, they all have those same sound glitches. While doing the recordings, the sound disturbances weren't audible.
    I am wondering if there is a setting that I need to fix...I am not the most savvy technical person, and am rather new to recording. Maybe the buffer size needs to be adjusted? I really have no idea...it is frustrating. I should say that I am using an MBox 2, which is supposed to be used with Pro Tools software. I had problems using Pro Tools as well, I don't think my OS is very compatible with it. Unfortunately, I have windows Vista, which I hear nothing but problems about in regards to recording. I prefer to use Adobe Audition, as I'm familiar with it, and like it.

    Out of some disbelief I had to try my own setup suggestion from above, since it's not a thing I do daily anymore. Without wanting to go into any dispute with the above poster, I can only say:
    It works well here.
    Your mileage may vary.
    Setting up two mono tracks with a separate input to each, I was able to record vocals with reverb from Audition in my monitoring headphones, along with recording an electro-acoustic instrument (guitar in my case) on the adjacent track with no reverb at all. I sang/tested with lots of consonants and different monitor levels and reverbs; I used the Studio Reverb, which is the least CPU intensive and recommended in the manual. There was no noticable delay, echo, what have you, which I felt disturbed my precision at all. Now I KNOW technically there is a delay/latency, but for practical purposes it isn't noticable. I've also heard some singers are extremely pecky on this, and for them there is the solution of direct monitoring and an outboard reverb added to their headphone signal. For everyone else however it works well and the latency just a theory - certainly not an audible 'echo' of any kind. With a poor soundcard and a computer low on resources latency will become evident. Also if you don't use ASIO. This type of application is why we have ASIO.

  • Is it possible to add a Graph in the Teststand Labview OI

    Is it possible to add a graph to the Labview OI so that data can be passed up via the sequence context? Would posting a UI Message be the right way to trigger the graph to update? I'm not sure how to do this since the graph is not a UI control.
    Has anyone done this or is better to just pop-up a graph in a sequence step?

    I have not tried this, but one way you could do this is by running the VI with the same version of the LabVIEW run-time engine that the OI was build with.  The LV OI will load the run-time engine initially.  When TestStand runs the test VI, it will try to first load the run-time engine specified in the adapter configuration.  If the specified version is the same as the version used by the LV OI, it will used the one in memory.  Since TestStand and the OI share the same run-time engine, creating a queue in the OI and populating with the VI run by TestStand will theorically work.  Like I said, I have not tried this, but I am assuming it will work.   The key is to make sure the LV version used to create the LV OI executable and the VI are the same.

    if you don't have more tha one clicable event per row, just
    use the row to fire the click event and open the link that way.
    Otherwise, i have no idea what the allowed tags are in a grid
    cell.

    You need to take the time data and convert it to double.  But Excel data is based on days since 1/1/1900 while LabVIEW data is based on seconds since 1/1/1904.
    Take a look at this thread for an example I posted on how to make the conversion.
    One other possibility is to convert your numeric data to a string, and build on an array of time that is also a string version of the timestamp.  Then write your 2-D string array to the Write to Spreadsheet file.

    I would like to make a Suggestion and that is to Add  a  End Tab or a Last Tab  to the thread numbers so a Member can go to the end of the Discussion or go to the Very Last post, I've encounter a Few Post that I have had page through 3 to 4 or 5 times to get to end of the thread.. Using this Option it could take a member Directly to the end of the Thread in Seconds,  Just like having the feature to go to the Start of the thread..

    i am working on a scenario...
    it is file based..no mapping and bpm can be used.
    I need to pick up file through xi and append it and put in the target with time stamp to it.
    we can achieve this if mapping or bpm is allowed.....
    But,in file processing we can use only one option at a time.....
    I found a way:
    scenario one: files will be appened and kept in a temparory folder
    using another scenario we will pick up the appeneded file and add time stamp and keep in target structure...
    but i dont think this is advisable...
    please suggest me any other ways to achieve this...(can run operating system command be helpfull??)
