Possible to alter contacts with rule while synchronizing?
Hi:
I have almost a thousand contacts in Entourage with phone numbers entered in format: countrycodeareacodenumber. When I sync with my Nokia 6230, the numbers are properly copied to the phone in that format. However, those numbers will not dial properly. They should be in the format: 0areacodenumber for local numbers or 00countrycode+areacodenumber. So, I need to either:
1. Find a way to mass replace the numbers in Entourage, or
2. Find a way to transform these numbers in the Synchronizing process, or
3. Program the phone to handle the numbers in a different way.
The best would be solution #2, then #3, then #1 and then, a very very very distant last option would be to change the nearly thousand contacts manually.
Any help will be appreciated.
What kind of bluetooth system do you have in your car? is it factory installed or part of an aftermarket system?

Golive CS2 crashing with SFTP while synchronizing with server
I'm using latest Update Golive CS2 (8.01) with SFTP.
Sometimes Golive crashes while synchronizing with the server (publish-server -> Synchronize all; Sorry, can't remember the correct english context menue entry because i'm runnig german version).
The error message box says:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Buffer overrun detected
Program: P:\Adobe\Adobe Golive CS2\GoLive.exe
An buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated."
If i use FTP, all is running fine.
Deleting the Golive preferences did not result in any effort.
On these servers runnig SFTP i cannot switch back to FTP because of privacy/confidentional reasons.I started having this exact same problem yesterday. I never had it before and nothing had changed on my system prior to the problem starting (no Windows updates, or others). Mine is also GoLive CS2. I have used it every since I purchased it direct from Adobe while it was still the "current version". And likewise, it happens when using SFTP for transfer.
Thinking maybe a program file had become corrupted, I ran the installation over and selected "repair". It completed without issue. And I reactivated without any problem. But the issue still exists.
Interestingly, certain files trigger it every time while it seems random otherwise. One file that will do it every time is a small gif image in one site. I recreated that image from scratch and it still does it. -
Altering contacts on iPhone while having an active call
I have one problem with the iPhone will having an active call:
When someone gives me a number for an existing contact in the call, I used to go to the address book and add the number during the call (with my old phone). When I now try to do that (via the "Contacts" pane from the in call panel) i can only see contacts, but not edit them.
As Copy&Paste is impossible on the iPhone, I cannot even take a note and add it to the contact after the call.
Any ideas how to do it?Try going to the Keypad instead, then entering the number, then clicking the contact icon next tot he Call button. It should prompt to add new or add to existing.

Unable to contact with support... No any way...
Hi all,
I have a very stupid situation... and it seems that this is hopeless.
I have my iPad since from several years and yesterday I had to buy (first time) an application on App Store.
So unfortunately to proceed I had to give a response to 2 security questions an my responses are not correct.
I did not have before the alternative e-mail address on my AppleID so I do not see the link to reset my security questions...
All in all I have to call the Apple Support. And this is the moment were the story begins... My situation is like this, I am from Poland, I have bought the iPad in Poland, now I am located in France (I work there currently). I do not speak french language on acceptable level to contact with french support by phone. No problem with English language for me. So I have decided to call the polish support - the easiest solution - but I am not able to do it, polish support number is special (00800 4411875) and I am not able to call it while being abroad....
So I have decided to choose the option that Apple Support will cal me, why not? Genial! But... I need to confirm the country to which the support will make the call... I cannot choose France because I will be switched to french support, also I cannot select Poland and give there my french mobile number...
So my last possibility was to contact with English support, but the story is exactly the same like with polish support...
Anyone can explain me what I can do in such situation? Because it is tragic, I know that Apple would like to be very user-friendly so everybody will be able to call their support center even if they do not understand the internet page, but for the moment, for my situation it is just a pain in...

6021 and synchronising contact with a company name
Hello, does anybody know if it is possible to synchronise contacts with no pre name but only a company name?
I can only get the names and extra info of these contacts on my 6021 but no company name.
For the 6600 there is a seperate PC suite that can do the trick but is it also possible with the suite for my 6021.
I am using version 6.83.14.1

For example: when names are being stored in Outlook with both a first and last name they are combined in the name field within the phone after synchronisation. Putting an 'a' in the name field results in omly displaying an 'a' and a phone number...
The most simple solution would be to look for a company name and place it in the phone's name field if both first and last name are not available in Outlook.
But it seems Nokia support is not willing to look at the problem. They don't respond to email or anything

Is there any way to Sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5? Apple support says that only iTune can only sync contacts from "Contact" which is the default contact of Mac. If one is running Outllok on a Mac machine then it is not possible to sync the contacts with iPhone. It is strange that Apple distributors are promoting and offering machines with promise that Windows users can now run MS Office on Mac machines without any problem. While this is true, it is so strange that one cannot sync the contacts from MacBook Pro to iPhone5. If someone has found a way to sync contacts from Outlook to iPhone 5 please help as it is very frustrating to not be able to sync the contacts. Thanks, Amit.

Keeping contact with controlling applet while u/l XML file via servlet
Hello everybody,
if I am thinking too complicated, please send me other suggestions. Here's the situation:
I already have a working applet for a metadata application, that is sending the contents of the client's textfields to a remote database via servlet communication. Now I want to implement the following:
-The users have some attribute data in form of an XML file
-I want them to upload this file to the server (I already have that functionality using the fileUpload libraries of Apache Commons) by calling the servlet from a pop-up html page (is there any other possibility to do the communication, i.e. getting files from the file system?)
-the XML file should be parsed on the server and the content should be sent back to the calling applet for previewing reasons.
-when the user gives his/her O.K. the data should be transferred to the database.
Now there are some obstacles to overcome: When I upload the XML file to the server, I loose "contact" with the applet, i.e. the file is not connected with the applet code in any way. This is not a problem, when there is only one user at the time, but with many users loading up their data at the same time, things could get tricky.
What I thought was to copy the XML file to a temp directory with a unique name, the name of which would be transferred back to the applet by another servlet that is called when the (upload)pop-up window closes. The name of the temp directory could be the ID of the applet thread (is there such an ID, if yes, how can it be retrieved?)
Any suggestions (or just shaking heads concerning my complicated construction ;-) )

JanYou may be able to read a file from the file system with the applet, but it may require you to sign the applet. If you can, then use an HttpURLConnection to the servlet and send the file that way.
On the server side, you could create a session object (wether you actually need a session or not), and use the session's id as the key id for the directory name for the uploaded file. Session IDs are unique per client, and if the client handles cookies, then the same session will be used from one request to the next.

String sessionID = session.getId();The response from the servlet would be a link to the server-side file. If you are using the Applet to send the request, you could get the response and automatically view the new file. Otherwise, you could send a page to the popup window saying: "Click This Link To See Your File" type of thing. -

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. while synchronizing my iPhone 4G with just freshly actualized Apps in the small window at the top of iTunes site appeared the word "aerogram", which is not an App. is it spyware ot what else?
I was curious when this popped up as an app that I could not synch because the computer I was using was not authorized. I had just set up my Iphone and had only installed five app. After a web search I believe the Aerogram is actually part of the id for the Yahoo Mail app as it was the only app that was not listed of the five installed. On another site I found the following info.

When you watch the progress bar trying to sync, can you see at what step the sync is stopped?
If it does not get beyond step one (backup) delete the latest backup in the list in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices and try again after that. To be on the safe side, copy the backup folder to a safe place before you start. It is located here:
