Possible to burn book pages to disk?

I am about half way through a book but need the person for whom it is being done to look at it before I continue. Is there a way to burn it to disk so I can mail it to her? She's PC, not Mac, and I think a disk would work best.

Since she's a PC you should do the following.
1 - while in the Book mode Control-click in the book window but no on a page and select Save book as PDF.

2 - burn the resulting PDF file to a CD via the Finder.

Thanks shldr2thewheel, Did read carefully and can access the remote disc on my windows PC to install programs or view files on MacBook Air BUT can't access the windows optical drive to Burn IPhoto file and I've even searched the support doc for "burn' and it doesn't appear even once. So I still wonder if it is possible to do what I'm trying. Also noted a number of other people with same/similar question on the forum under "More Like This" but can't find any definite yes or no. Best External dvd burner for dual layer disks?

At some point my internal dvd burner in my mac book pro died, and apple replaced it. After that, I couldn't burn a dual layer disk. They've changed it twice more to accomodate me (the genius bar is awesome), but I still only have mediocre results. No problem burning regular dvds or cds. So I wondered is there a REALLy good external burner for DVD-DL that you have experience with? Thanks!

Many users find installing an internal drive themselves no more difficult than doing a memory upgrade themselves.
Others prefer not to work inside their computer.
Based on your graphics card and the original drive, I expect your Mac Pro is an older model. All before 2009 accept an ATA INTERNAL drive such as this:

Burning Books iTunes for Windows (XP with SP3)

Burning books takes quite a while. As I can not burn and use my PC for other things at the same time, is it possible to stop the multiple disk burning process (at the end of one of multiple disk burns), close iTunes and then pick up the burning process where you left off.

Given how popular xp64 wasn't, the fact that Microsoft largely ignores it, and others don't support it, I think Apple will live through it. The cost to support it would probably far outweigh the revenue they would gain from it.

You can't do it out of iDVD.
If you create a disk image file (.img) out of iDVD you MIGHT be able to do so using Roxio's Toast and the .img file.

Unless your iMac is still covered by AppleCare, get an external DVD burner.
You can get perfectly good ones from Amazon for less than $40.

I found the solution to this after two days of head scratching and frustration. Here are some of the things I noticed in my investigation of the problem, and the solution:
iDVD does NOT FULLY/CONSISTENTLY support HD or footage that is imported from FCP X -- when it is rendered you will get reduced quality visuals in your DVD.
Using the "create disk image" option to create your DVD has the same end result.
I found my way to success the following way:
Save your original file from FCP X -- note its file size. If it's a .MOV file you will need to recreate and save to your hard drive because you will need am mpeg file. Your original .mov file is now simply a reference.
Use FCP X to create an mpeg version of your footage from its share options.
Once done, note the SIZE of the file -- it should be larger than your original file.
Purchase Toast if you don't have it -- I am not a representative for the company... I just like what works --(or use DVD Studio Pro, if you have it) to create your DVD ~ DO NOT USE iDVD FOR NEXT STEPS ~

In Toast, select Video, HD DVD and name your file. Note the size of the file in the bottom of the window... it should be the same as the mpeg file... if you notice the file size is smaller (or the same as the original file size) you have a setting wrong.
(Since I used Toast I won't reference DVD Studio Pro here... don't want to make this response longer then needed...).
Once you verify the correct file size, make any other selections/changes you like for your DVD, then burn it.
You should end up with a DVD with the quality you are after.

New problem. I can not burn a playlist to disk. The 'checking playlist' now takes about one second, looks very much like a malfunction here. Seems to initialize the disk - them moves straight into 'burning/finalizing disk' which also takes about one second. Then 'burning - finishing disk takes a little longer -
Error reading is "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The disk drive didn't respond properly an can't recover.'
This happend once before a while back and I thought it was 'too skinny disks'. Using 'printable disks; seemed to fix the problem - until now.
Blank cd's can be opened in the finder and files burnt to them.
DVD's can be burned from DVD Pro.
Music cd's and dvd's can be played.
Just can't burn the itunes playlist.

From your iMac? OS 10.9.2? iTunes? Other? please give as much info as you can about your system hardware and peripherals, OS, software, etc. Is this misbehavior new? First try? You get the idea, too much info is not possible.

I am not sure I understand your question... Premiere Elements is a video editing program, with disc output being a MOVIE DVD or BluRay
I think you need to use a different product to write computer files to a DATA disc

Book pages view and interface customization.

Hi, everyone.
Adobe's Lightroom 4 has a nice and useful feature in its book module that allows all book pages to be displayed in one large and central pane.
In Aperture while creating a book I have a 'Pages' panel on the left side of the screen and a large panel where individual (or paired) book pages are displayed, I can't seem to find a way to view all book pages in a large browser-style panel as is possible with Lightroom.
Is there a way to do this in Aperture ? Can I have a large browser panel opened and view all page books together ?

You can try to make more space fore the "Pages" pane by hiding the Inspector pane, and by rotating the browser and create a layout like this:

Is it possible to export a page design from a keynote presentation to Aperture, to be used in photo books ? I think I've seen one tutorial like that, but I'm not sure ...
And is it possible to share one photo book (with custom design) from Aperture to iPhoto ?

I think you can export the Keynote pages as JPGs or PDFs and then import them into Aperture.
And I know you can share Aperture designs, but I don't think you can use them in iPhoto because it doesn't allow for custom design as far as I know.

Mac Book Pro was purchased with OSX 10.6 . The manufacturer’s disk that comes with Mac has OSX 10.6 too.
Later I did install some updates from Apple. Now it is version OSX 10.6.4.
The question :
How burn a boot-up disk with this updated OSX 10.6.4. which can be used for boot-ups instead of the manufacturer’s disk with the older 10.6 OSX.?

Delete abd re-enter your Facebook account information jnder the accounts tab in the iPhoto preferences

Try this ...
Open a Finder window then from the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go.
If you see the: AdobePDFViewer plugin (or anything Adobe related) in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.
Restart your Mac and try opening a PDF file.
