Possible to burn iTunes purchased "Lost" episodes to DVD?

My "Lost" habit has come to a crash because I've missed an episode. On a whim, I bought this particular show from iTunes. Upon later reflextion, the wife just won't be interested in watching a TV show on our somewhat dinky little monitor. Is there any legal and somewhat easy way to burn this 40 some minute show to DVD using iTunes, iMovie, iDVD or i-anything? Just monkeying around on iTunes, there didn't seem to anyway to do it. If I can't watch what I just purchased on our TV, I think this'll be the last $1.99 that apple gets from me.
Brian

Sorry, but Apple has put strong copyright protection on the video downloads. I guess there would be no legal way to do it, but that does not mean that it isn't possible.
Hope this helps

  • Burning ITunes video (LOST) onto a DVD

    Hello all,
Can someone please tell me how I can burn Lost onto a DVD so I can watch it on my home DVD player?
    Thanks

    Chip,
I am having the same problem. I tried burning it as a data DVD and playing it in an MPEG4 compatable DVD player. That did not work. I think apple only allows you to play it on authorized computers or iPODs, if so thats crap.
Let me know if you find a solution.

  • Can't burn itunes purchased songs onto a cd

I created a playlist consisting of previously downloaded songs (not purchased from itunes) and itunes purchased songs. When I attempted to burn a cd of the playlist, only the previously downloaded non itunes were burned into the cd. During the burning process the meter at the top of the page indicated that the itune purchases were being read, but when I played the cd on my car cd, and later on a friends cd, the itunes purchased songs weren't there. When I play the burned cd on my computer all the songs are included. I've tried slowing down the recording speed, trying both audio and data cd options with the same results. I am using cd-r cd's. Can anyone help?

  • Is it possible to sync Itune Purchases from my IPod touch to my samsung 3 phone and if so how?

I want to access books I purchased on my Ipod touch, on my Samsung 3 phone?

If the music was purchased via iTunes, you can transfer purchases from the iDevice to iTunes.
With the device connected, do not sync, select File > Transfer purchases.
If the music was acquired via other sources, you are SOL.
Where is the backup that you keep of your media and other important files?????
I find it extremely difficult that someone would forget to back up their important files before reformating a computer.  IF that is the case, then I would say you just learned an important and possibly expensive lesson.

  • HT204370 Is it possible to burn a purchased movie to DVD somehow?

I've purchased a movie with iTunes and I don't want to hook up my computer to the TV screen every time I want to watch it. Is there some way to burn the movie to DVD or to convert it to a burnable format?

No, they can only be copied to a DVD for backup purposes, you won't be able to play them on a DVD player.

  • Possible to share iTunes purchases between accounts?

My 13 year old daughter and I have shared an iTunes account for several years.  As our icloud and photostream are also shared, we no longer want to share our account, but neither of us wants to lose the music. Is there a way to create a new account for her and both of us keep the music?  I don't think Homesharing is what we want as we both want the music to be on our devices. Help!

You can still share an account for purchases in iTunes and the App Store while having different Apple ID for each of you to use for iCloud, Photo Stream, mail, calendars, contacts, etc.

  • Any limit for burn itunes purchased songs into a cd?

I wanna ask is there any limit to burn purchased songs into a cd?
If yes, what is the max?
    Thx

There is no limit to the number of times a specific song can be burned onto a CD. A specific playlist can be burned a maximum of seven times without changing the playlist's contents.

  • Burning Itunes movie to a black DVD

You can only back up your iTunes moves to DVD. You can't use iTunes to make a DVD of the movies to play on regular players.

  • Burning itunes videos to DVD

First off - new to mac, new to forum, primarily use itunes for music. Having said all of that...is it possible to download a video from itunes (or a TV show) and burn a DVD? I was looking into it and can't seem to find any info. Tried it w/itunes and can't get it to "Burn disc". Help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I'm assuming you want to burn a purchased video to a DVD disc that is watchable in your DVD player. The short answer to this question is, no, it cannot be done.
The DRM that protects the video files you buy from iTMS do not allow this type of burning. You can, however, burn the files to Data disc for backup.

  • ITunes purchased songs: is there any way to play them on a non apple produc

So I have an iPod. I have many songs purchased from iTunes. I have a Verizon wireless cellphone with Vcast. This plays music using Windows Media Player (WMP). Is there any way on God's gree earth to import my purchased songs into WMP so I can place them on my phone. I understand this is why the iPhone was created, but I don't have that kinda money and I like Verizon. Please help, anyone. Is there software I can buy to convert these songs. Anything please.

I was not offended. I was not trying to seem overbearing either. I was not suggesting you had any criminal intent.
You can burn iTunes purchased music to CD. It is the process of changing the format of that purchased, whether to use it on another player or to thwart the encoded DRM-protection that Apple discourages.
It is that process of converting DRM-protected music that we can not help you with here.

  • Movies purchased on iTunes cannot be played on dvd

I purchased a few movies on iTunes recently, then backed them up to dvd for two reasons, one was for backup and the other was so I could watch the movie on my television using my DVD player. The backup seems to work, because I can play the movie on my computer from the disc (dvd). However, when I put the dvd in the dvd player and press play, I get an error message that the disc cannot be played. Does anyone have any information on what steps need to be taken to play iTunes purchased movies on a DVD player?

    runtheplanet,
iTunes movies are in Quicktime format (H.264), and not playable on DVD payers. DVD content is MPEG 2, and it is multiplexed, where the video and audio are combined in a single data stream that can be read by the DVD player.
In order to play Quicktime content on a DVD, that content must first be transcoded to the MPEG 2 format and multiplexed. The single stream is then burned to the DVD.
Purchased iTunes content, however, is protected against transcoding. In other words, you cannot burn iTunes movies to a standard video DVD. Your only options for watching purchased iTunes movies on your TV are to 1) connect your computer to the TV, then play the content on your computer, or 2) Use an AppleTV.

  • Why No Export to Apple TV 3 in 1080?

Logic: Apple Makes Apple TV 3 which offers Blu Ray quality 1080 picture. Apple Makes Final Cut X. Therefore, Final Cut X should natively support Apple TV 3 in 1080 via export. It does not. I know you can actually subsitute "Quicktime" for "Final Cut
