Possible to define color of screen BEHIND documents?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
Is it possible to define the background color of the documents when they open in Adobe Reader? I'm not talking about the document pages themselves, but rather that crappy grey and/or ugly blue screen that always displays behind the document pages.
Can I define this for the user?
Any suggestions?

That means it most likely a setting, Check the following. (steps written for windows 7)
Go to the control panel and find " Devices and printers" and doulble click it.
You should see the icon of your printer their, choose the one without fax in the name.
Right click it and choose " printer properties".
On the "general" Tab click on "preferences".
In the new screen on the "layout" tab cick "advanced"
In the new screen make sure "print in grayscale" is turned off and click ok severall times until all screens are gone.
Try printing again. And make sure in the print screen color printing is also checked.

Use User Defined Tables in a Marketing Document on Row Level

Hello All,
Is there a way to use the fields from a User Defined Table in a Marketing Document on a row level such as for example Purchase Order.
If this is not possible directly, any known work-arounds?

Thanks for your idea/workaround. To be more precize, we don't want to pull information from a UDT field into a marketing document, but from the row-level we like to write information to an UDT field.

Possible to change color depth for Leopard's VNC server?

I think it is very nice to include vnc server right into Leopard. But one problem, it seems it will only accept connection from clients when it is set to use full colors. This is painfully slow over WAN, any way to change the requirement from the server end?

Yes you can modify your screen sharing application so that you can adjust the colour depth. However you need to issue a command in the terminal to get this to work.

Badi: for user defined fields in Budget Entry Document

I am implmenting BADI for user defined field in budget entry document definatin name 'FMBW_CUSTOMER' . I have created two fields in include 'CI_FMBH' and also created a sub screen and assign this subscreen to badi. I have called get data and put data methods in PBO and PAI. like this.

You'd need to figure out manually how forecast PR's are different from MRP PR's (the field from PR tables ) and then in the user exit I mentioned the program looks at the table T161 and field NUMKI, and if the PR getting created is from forecast change that NUMKI in the program to a different one else keep it as it is. If you're know abap programming it won't take long to figure out the logic else work with your developer to implement it.

Wouldn't that depend on how many pages there are, how large your screen is and how small you were willing to put up with in the thumbnails?

We can't. SAP only provides this standard black text. You can however set text fields as bright (in fields properties) which will eventually be displayed in blue color. That's all you can do about this.
There is also one other option of using [Dynamic Documents|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/10/246858055711d4a7410000e83dd863/frameset.htm] which allows to display text in diffent styles (colors and fonts), but this are rather used in forms or as top-of-page in ALVs, not to work with screens themselves.

The match syntax changed between version 12.0 and 12.1, so my recommendation to you is to build an iGrid template the way you would like to do it with javascript, then export the display template from the workbench.
Open the template in a text editor and observe the format for the MatchValues, MatchColumns, and MatchColors strings.
Then your javascript will follow the document.APPLET.gridObject().setMatchXXX("xxxx"); as shown in the script assistant.

The color of screen seems too bright

I've just upgrage my system. The fonts of tty became very small and very bright after that. I just startx as usual but find the color of screen is so bright that I cannot see the fonts clearly and and kwin effect disappear.
I've reinstall my video card driver and remove xorg.conf but it didn't help. any ideas? thx~

The font in the TTY is probably small, because of the higher resolution that is possible with KMS. You can change the font size and the colors for the text in the TTYs, though. I can send you more info on that in some hours if you want.

I do not have a DVi cable so I cannot try DVI connection.
It seems a known bug.It has been reported and discussed a lot here:

You have a program in your applications/utilities folder called "Grab". Open it and you can copy an entire screen or a selection and save it into various formats. (I.E. Jpeg image).

• To take a picture of part of the screen, press Command-Shift-4, then drag to select the area you want in the picture.
• To take a picture of a window, the menu bar, the Dock, or other area, press Command-Shift-4, then press the Space bar. Move the pointer over the area you want so that it's highlighted, then click. If you decide you want to drag to select the area, press the Space bar again.
• If you press Command-Shift-4 and decide you don't want to take the screen shot, press the Escape key.
• Screen shots are saved as files on the desktop. If you want to put the screen shot in the Clipboard, rather than create a file, hold down the Control key when you press the other keys. You can then paste the picture into a document

I am new in BSP developing. I have a page with two frames where one shows a menu and the other one shows a tabstrip which contents a frame where dynamically a URL is called.
As far as I have seen it is not possible to define the width and the height of a tabscript by % only by px. I have checked out the forum and I have seen that other people have had the same problems on defining width and height on tabscripts.( see xhtmlb:tabStrip height attribute posted by Durairaj Athavan Raja on Jan 27). They solved it by fixing by hard the height.
My problem is that the client wants to see as least scroll as possible.
A solution would be to find an optimal fixed width and height but it seems to be difficult because the application is going to be run in different computers with different settings. Hence the better one would be to define the width and the height on running time, for example, as it is mentioned in the message, by javascript.
So if I have the screen size on a javascript variable, is there any way to use that variable as the width or the height of my tabscript?. Does anyone know how can I define the width and the height of the tabscript in such a way that it seems like I am using %.
Any idea is welcome.

Correct me if i havent understood your question correctly.
you have a tabstrip and within the tabstripitem you have an iframe and and fill the iframe src based on the tab clicked. Right?
If yes.
There are three factors to the whole scene here with regard to hieght.
1. page height
2. tabstrip height
3. iframe height
I have faced the similar issue and solved as follows.
1. I had set the <htmlb:page scrolling to "NO" so that i dont get two scroll bars at the right side (one for page and the other for iframe)
2. i have placed the iframe outside tabstrip
3. put the tabstrip and the iframe into normal html table like below.

How can I run a light-grey screen behind a display ad in indd?

Either I'm doing something terribly wrong or you haven't told me something I really need to know (and the manual is extremely difficult to learn from). We're back at my wife's bimonthly newsletter and she wanted to set a short paragraph in a box with a 15 percent screen behind it. To get the box with the screen, I used the Rectangle tool with a 15 percent fill; to get the text, I used the text tool, drawing a box slightly smaller than the rectangle so the text would be pleasantly placed in relation to the 15 percent screen of the box.
I first tried placing the text on the Default Layer and the box and screen on a new layer, Layer 3. (In my system, the Default Layer is red and Layer 3 is green.) The grey screen completely obliterated the text: the page printed with a grey screen and no text. I then tried placing the box and grey screen on the Default Layer and the text on Layer 3. Same thing: an empty grey screen with no words in it.
So I returned to the text in a smaller red text box in the Default Layer and the Rectangle Tool box in green on Layer 3 above it. The text disappeared. By holding down the Command key, I could see the red box where my text should have been; by clicking on the plus sign in the lower-right corner of the red box, I could place the text I had already placed in the red box on the Default Layer. But it spread out to the width of the box in the green Layer 3, and I could not adjust its width to match the size of my original text box on the red Default Layer.
I tried locking the text box on the Default Layer (in which case I could not place the text); I tried locking the box and screen on Layer 3; neither helped. No matter what I did, the text would not appear at the width specified in the red Default Layer, but spread out to fill the box and screened area of the green Layer 3.
Before we upgraded our InDesign CS2 about six months ago, we did this regularly, and it always worked: we'd place the text, draw a box with the Rectangle Took and a 15 percent fill, select the filled rectangle, and click "Send to Back." That always worked; why does the upgraded InDesign not do the same thing? Or what am I missing?

New question, URGENT. I'm placing text in ordinary columns in InDesign CS2, where the master pages show two columns just over 31/2 inches wide and 10 inches deep and the text to be placed comes from MS Word (2008 version for Macintosh). On three occasions this morning, InDesign has created roughly 14-point spaces between lines in the text where nothing shows in the Word text at all. In the first case, we had such a space in an article in column one and an identical space appeared in a different article in column two, as though InDesign knew of a trough in the page that we couldn't see. I've just placed a Word article in column one on another page that has two of these unnecessary breaks, one about six lines into the text and one about six lines from the bottom. I cannot get rid of these unwanted breaks: attempting to edit with the Text tool simply creates merged words without normal word spacing.

Is it possible for automator to convert all word documents in my dropbox folder to apple's "pages" on iCloud and keep the same folder organization? I am a teacher and want to switch from using microsoft office on my macbook pro to using pages/number/keynote. I am hoping to get an iPad next year and go "paperless" with lesson plans and gradebooks and I heard that pages/numbers/keynote are great on the ipad. I'd like to write an automator script (workflow?) to convert all my documents in dropbox to pages and have them stored on iCloud, then be able to access the files on my macbook pro and ipad. Thanks!

Create an AppleID under different email addresses for each family member at http://appleid.apple.com
If they don't already have their own email address just setup a free one with Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or whoever you prefer.
Then on each device sign into iMessage with the users own AppleID in:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Tap AppleID at top > Sign Out, then sign back in again with the correct AppleID.
