Possible to edit theme-based navigation (ie. the "back" arrow)?

Hello.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to edit the "back" arrow navigation that automatically appears in a theme when you've created a sub-menu? the auto-generated arrow used does not fit very well with the rest of the theme and I'm hoping to move/edit it?
Mainly this is a problem because I've created a custom theme (based on an apple theme) and the arrow style really doesn't fit (nor does the location). Is there a way to start a theme from scratch rather than based on an Apple built-in theme (thus I wouldn't be stuck with the weird looking "back" arrow)?
Thanks,
Kristin.

This is something I want to do myself. I haven't perfected it yet but you need to do something like this:
Press Control and Click (Right Click) on the iDVD icon in Applications > Choose Show Package Contents.
Then choose Resources then select a xxxx.theme file
Right Click again and 'Show Package Contents', then > Contents > Resources.
Pick the relevant files and alter the shape/style in a suitable application.
I'm going to have a play tonight on my Night Watch to see if I can change the colours of the arrows I want to. But at this time I can't actually find the buttons.
Remember always work on a copy of software when looking for this kind of thing.

I can see a preview of the photos, but I cannot access or edit them.  They say "the folder cannot be located" and "the photo is missing".  I have gone through multiple Adobe tutorials to try and recover them to no avail.  Any tips?

Backup catalogs wouldn't have helped with this problem anyway, but naturally, you shouldn't delete backup catalogs for a while.

  • Posts are duplicating like bunnies when I edit them in Posterous since the latest Beta Update??? wtf?

When I go to edit any post on my [http://whatgetsmehot.posterous.com Posterous] blog, the html and media including photos and videos are duplicating like bunnies if i do any editing (like going from rich format to html and back) all since the latest Beta Update??? And after that it will crash because it has multiplied anywhere from 4X to ?X times.
I submitted a crash report today but i didn't save the info
I've, of course, done all the usual (or i wouldn't be here). Cleared Cache multiple times...there were some funky warnings coming from the error page thing about co-something or other and this is what i have tonight: Warning: Error in parsing value for 'background-image'. Declaration dropped.
    which i realize is nothing...
I have never heard of this at all.
Btw, I uninstalled all my addons and am running on nothing but what comes with my Windows XP and from FF.
    Any thoughts?

When I open a new tab or window the back arrow in the navigation bar isn't highlighted and doesn't work

Do you have already visited more than one website in a tab if that happens?

  • Is it possible to get a camera added to the back of my ipod 5 16gb?

Is it possible to get a camera installed on the back of my sons ipod touch 5th generation 16gb? I bought the wrong one on accident.

No. If you purchased it from Apple within the last 14 days you can returnit for a full refund and purchase a 32 or 64 GB 5G since those have the back camera.

  • Issue with Safari and using the back arrow with multiple tabs open

I open multiple tabs in Safari but when I'm in a tab browsing and I hit the back arrow, in the new version of Safari, it doesn't just go back to the previous page in the tab, it completely backs out of all the tabs. What am I doing wrong?
I have a PC running Win 7 and the lastest version of Safari.  I launch Safari which opens to my home page (CNN). I then go the News on my menu bar and select Open in Tabs - then tabs for 6 news sites open up. However if I go to one of the tabs and start navigating around the sight and I want to back up a page I click the back arrow like I have always done in previous versions of Safari but instead of backing up 1 page in the tab I'm in, it collapses all the tabs and I'm back with only the CNN tab still open. Its frustrating not being able to backup on page and I can figure out what's going on. I've use Safari for sometime now but only this version is giving me this problem. I tried resetting and reinstalling Safari but still get the same problem.  Any ideas? Its like I'm backing out of tabs instead of pages.

    Thanks for your quick response.
    1) I have the Block Pop UP windows option turned off
    2) I switched Safari to 32 -bit mode and rebooted my iMac but I still can't get the CBS videos to run
The exact message I get in the Hulu or CBS box is:
The video you have requested is either unavailable or is being blocked by an ad blocker installed in your browser.
I have the same problem with the Safari, Firefox and Opera (all are the latest versions.

Do you still have the Bookmarks Toolbar visible with the bookmarks on it?
If that is the case then see:
    Otherwise check this:
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:
    *Firefox > Options
    *"View > Toolbars"
Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:
    *View > Toolbars > Customize
*Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

    Question
What happened to the icon of the "house"? After searching the web or checking my e-mail I could alway click on the house to return to my home page. Now I have to keep clicking the back arrow or enter my home page on my google search. edit

The home button has by default moved to the right hand edge of the navigation toolbar. You can move it back by right-clicking on a toolbar, choose customize to open the customize toolbar window, then with that window on display you can drag and drop icons to move them.
If the home icon is not at the right end of the navigation toolbar, use the procedures in the following link to restore it - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Back+and+forward+or+other+toolbar+items+are+missing

  • There used to be a feature on the 'back' arrow; a small tiny down click arrow where i could choose a specific recent page to go back to. it saves hitting and reloading old pages i want to skip. what can i do now?

at the top left corner of the tool bar, there is a 'back' arrow and a 'forward' arrow. before the latest software upgrade to firefox, i used a teeny tiny 'down' arrow that was to the right of the 'forward' arrow. when i clicked on the tiny 'down' arrow, it showed me a list of all the pages that had recently been opened; not just a website i might have been visiting, but all the pages i had navigated to on that website. i used the 'down' arrow as a shortcut to get back to a specific page which out having to click the 'back' arrow like ten times or more. i would really, really, really like for you to put that feature back, or tell me what i can do instead. thanks.

    You're welcome.

  • How do I activate the back arrow. I cannot undo secure browsing.

I just loaded Firefox 4 - replacing 3.5. The back arrow came up as not activated but I did not initiate the private browsing mode, i.e., there is no "stop private browsing" indicator. I tried reinstalling several times - no joy.

  • Why when I use the back arrow the window disappears?

I don't like Safari for other reasons. Now all the sudden I am having trouble with my windows. Its like I have lost the ability to navagate. Now when I press the back arrow the window disapepars. I only use Safari because I have a MAC. Firefox is much better and I use it more.  I hope that I am just confused.  It Safari becomes harder I don't know what I will do.

The back arrow by itself shouldn't do anything in Safari, unless a text-entry field is active.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • Why, since installing 4.0.1, does the back arrow take me back two pages instead of one most of the time?

Since installing 4.0.1., I find that the back arrow takes me back two pages most of the time, forcing me to click again on the forward arrow to advance one page. This happens on all websites. I never had this problem before with any browser. It started with 4.0.1 and I have not added any plugins in a long time. My system is Windows XP.

  • After I open FireFax 4 to my home page and then try to navigate elsewhere, I do not have access to the back arrow to return to the home page. What setting is causing this to happen?

    Toshiba Satellite Laptop
    Vista Home Premium
    Firefox 4.0 recently installed
Every time I load Firefox, my home page comes up.
After going to another page, I do not see the back arrow highlighted, and the only way to get to the home page, I have to click on the Home button in the upper right part of the screen and get a new tab. Annoying - yes. Practical - no. I even uninstalled 4 and reloaded with the same results each time.

Then you need a clean install.
First export your bookmarks to a html file. (Bookmarks/Unsorted bookmarks will bring you History page where you can export your bookmarks). Note down your add-ons too.
Uninstall the old FF using free software like Revo Uninstaller. This will delete all the root directories and registries of old FF.
Now download the latest version of FF and install it. You can re-import your bookmarks from your saved html file.
You may still have to do the fix in my first post.
Post here whether this worked for you.
