Possible to flip iSight image?

Hi
I have an iSight but my Ikea desk has a metal bar above the monitors. Any way to hang an iSight upside down like a bat and get a correct image?
Also i hit on the iSight manual by accident but cannot seem to navigate back there. Anybody know a link for operation?

No - but with preview (included on your Mac) you can and you can set Preview as the external editor for iPhoto - so I guess you can with the latest or any version of iPhoto

Is it possible to rotate iSight image 180°

Is it possible to rotate the iSight camera 180° (upside down) and have the image flop 180° (right side up)? I would like to use the magnetic camera mount underneath a metal shelf and need the image to flop right side up...this would greatly extend the iSight camera's usability...
Hopefully a third party developer is working on this one.

I've been using this iGlasses software the past few days. It's worked perfectly. Well, worth the money if you have an iSight camera (regardless of whether or not you need to flop it 180°). The brightness controls and macro focus controls work perfectly. Great product.

I'll put in my 2 cents for this app. Works GREAT with iSight and QT Pro and iMovie HD. Seen it pop up on other apps (iChat for one) but rarely use it on for these few apps. Safari opens iGlasses for some reason... Anyone know why?

No, the iPad has an aspect ratio of 4:3, a TV has an aspect ratio of 16:9, to fit one into the other is impossible without distorting the picture. If your TV has a zoom feature, you may be able to use this to fill the screen a little more to your liking, but this will result in cropping top and bottom.

I know that Acrobat does not offer a field for image file submission.
whether there are workarounds to solve this problem?
I have found suggestions regarding place an image to button icon:
event.target.buttonImportIcon();
but I can't understand is it possible to submit this image to server (Reader supports PDF only).

Hi Yury,
Yes, that's correct you can create a button and add a script to it that would prompt the user to select an image file when that button is clicked. Then that image can be displayed using the same button (buttons can show either an image or text).
The script in question is:
event.target.buttonImportIcon();
You need to add it as an Run a JavaScript-action to your button, triggered by the MouseUp event, and of course set the button's layout.

On submitting the image it gets embedded with the PDF.
If the users are using Acrobat they will be able to view the image in the PDF, however if they are using only Reader, you will have to create the form using LiveCycle & then save it in a Reader Extendable Format.

Is is possible to have the images as thumbnails and make it so you can click on them for a larger view and then click them again to have it go back to the original size? In an interactive pdf?

I am designing an interactive catalog in a pdf. Is it possible to have the images as a thumbnail and then click them to enlarge the image and then click again to make them go back to the original size?

It can be done with Show/Hide buttons:
Here's a button created from a small version of the image (notice that it's selected in the image below):
The small button has a Show/Hide Buttons and Forms action. It's action is to make the Larger Image visible (eyeball turned on) with the small image hidden (eyeball turned off).
The large image is also turned into a button (shown below):
Notice the checkbox "Hidden Until Triggered". The large button is hidden until it's triggered by the small button. Clicking on the large image also causes a Show/Hide action which shows the Small button and hides the large button.

The captions has been switched from left to right but the quiz answer radio buttons did not. Any help would be appreciated.

A workaround could be to create your own MCQ slides, using standard objects and widgets like the radiobuttons widget (there is an enhanced version created by Jim Leichliter) and advanced actions. Hi there, I'm hoping this is a quick question. I've had a look on google but to no avail.
Is it possible to find all images within an indesign document that are below 300dpi. I've got a lot of images placed in a document, quite a lot were low res (not all, but a lot) just for quickness to begin with...but now I need to replace them with the high res for print, and theres LOADS so i don't really wanna do it manually.
I know when you do preflight indesign will tell you if there are any images using RGB colour space, but will it do somehting similar with image quality?

Okay, here is a fast one but it seems to do the job.
Copy the text in the frame below into a plain text document using Notepad, Textedit (in plain text mode!), or -- safest -- InDesign's own ESTK Editor that comes installed with the package. Save as "ReportBadResolution.jsx" in your User Scripts folder (see also InDesignSecret's How to install scripts in InDesign). Double-click to run.
If nothing happens, all images are okay. If you get an error somewhere, you have used images in a way I did not foresee (and thus didn't script how to handle these); try to report what goes wrong where and on what sort of image, if possible.
If the script does find anything wrong -- it checks for a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and, as a bonus, on badly scaled images -- it will create a new blank document and fill a text frame with the relevant information: image name, page, and x/y resolutions. It creates only one single page so if you get an 'overset text plus' at the bottom you have lots and lots of bad images ...

I was wondering if it's possible to import an image which contains a transparent part of it into Motion, so I can later add in images and videos underneath that layer.

there are two ways to do this. In Photoshop you can elect to have a transparent background, if you erase your image to show the chequered background, Motion will do the same.
Or from within Motion you can apply a mask to an image to have it show whats underneath. Apply the mask using the mask tools in the toolbar to the image, then step over to the Inspector, hit the mask tab and select the type as subtract. That will punch a hole in your image revealing whatever is underneath it.
