Possible to record 720p at 60 fps with Touch 4G?

I realize I'm asking a lot from this little device, but I was wondering if it is even possible to record at 60 fps. I believe the specs list recording at 30 fps, but I wondered if it was possible to change this.
Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response. It's a handy video camera that fits in my pocket. I was hoping to use it instead of having to carry a standard sized camera around. The iPod is great for taking spontaneous video shots when I don't have a camera on me.
Thanks for the answer.

  • Is it possible to record 720p video on iPhone 4S?

Although recording 1080p video is a great feature of the new iPhone 4S, I was wondering if it is still possible to record 720p video?
    The reasons for this are:
    1) It would save on harddrive space (as 1080p video requires more storage).
    2) I plan on doing video for web so 720p is faster to work with and less taxing on the system.
I guess a little switch to toggle between 720p and 1080p whilst in video mode would be good.
I've tried searching the web but no luck. I could ask SIRI but I don't think she likes me....
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Thanks for getting back

  • A way to get 720p at 60 fps with iMovie 6

I wanted to produce a movie at 720p and 60 fps for YouTube. The high sample rate was essential for my application. I wanted to use iMovie 6 since the source material needed to be edited. I tried importing progressive 60 fps footage into iMovie 6, but it got reduced to 30 fps. I got around the problem by first using JES Deinterlacer (version 3.8.4) to double the duration of the source footage (with the selections "standards conversion," "custom," and "telecine"), which reduced it to 30 fps. After editing in iMovie 6, I exported to full quality and then used JES Deinterlacer to convert back to 60 fps. I'm posting this information in case it might be of use to someone else.

Thanks for doing so - such feedback is always useful to know about!

  • Is it possible to record broadcast FM to ipod with Radio Remote?

    Hi all,
I attend conventions several times a year that are broadcast within the facility on FM. It is permitted to record these FM broadcasts. I have a 3rd generation Nano and was wondering if I could record these broadcasts using the iPod Radio Remote.
If not, is there an FM received out there by a 3rd party that will allow me to record to my iPod?
    Any input appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

The iPod radio will not allow you to record to the iPod.

  • Encore CS5: Trouble with 720p 59.94 fps mpeg 2 files

Here are a number of problems i am having importing these files as assets into CS5 that i really need some help and guidance with. I have my quality presets for blu ray at 1280 x 720p  59.94 fps maximum quality.
    1. I was able to successfully import a 720p file at 59.94fps as a asset with 5.1 audio. The asset properties say "Don't transcode"and the file type imports as a mpeg video in the project panel so i am happy right now, but
    2. i try to import another file with the same characteristics and i get the error message that "this type of encoding does not support multiple channel audio". So, i demux the file and try to import the file as a m2v file. Well, the import reaches 43% and then just freezes. I wait for 30 minutes and still no change. So i escape out of the program which crashes. I reboot Encore and try again. It stalls again at 43%. So, i convert the file to 2 channel sound (sigh),
    3. and i am able to import the file into encore, but the asset properties say "automatic transcode". So, i try to change it to "don't transcode" but every time i select this option, it goes back to "automatic transcode". Why is it doing this? The asset is 720p and it matches my project presets. I really want to avoid transcoding!!!! Also in the project panel, the asset is a "Video file" instead of "mpeg video". Why is this??
Very frustrated right now!! Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks.

    Hi,
That file may not be a blu ray legal file.
If the 720P file is blu ray legal then the status should be don't transcode.
You can check the file property(status is automatic transcode) with the file property(status is don't transcode).

  • Encore CS5 has problems with 5.1 audio and 720p 59.94 fps video

I keep receiving error messages when i import mpeg2  720p 59.94 fps video with dolby 5.1 audio. It says "does not support video with multiple channel audio" or something to that effect. I have had no problems importing mpeg 2 1080i 29.94 fps video w/ 5.1 audio into encore.
Is there any solution to this? I have tried importing as a asset and timeline to no avail. I had to convert to 2 channel stereo for it to work.
    thanks.

What would be the steps to do this and what software or freeware would you suggest. I have never demuxed before so please forgive my ignorance.

  • Is it possible to record with QTJava 6.1

    Hi,
Is it possible to record live stream from an IP Camera using QuickTime for Java? I had installed latest version of QuickTime 7.1. The version of QTJava is 6.1, that comes with QuickTime 7.1. When I tried to store the video using the program I get an error as follows:
    quicktime.std.StdQTException[QTJava:6.1.3g1],-2003=cantFindHandler,QT.vers:71080 00
Please help me with a solution.

Well, couldn't I install the 10.5.4 (if possible), and then run the Software Update? .... I'm thinking this is a dead end road for me…
You can install 10.5.4 *only if* the installer disc includes drivers that support the hardware of your new Mac. This is not likely: 10.5.4 was released on 30 June 2008 & there have been "under the hood" changes to the hardware for the 2009 models.
If I did take it back to Apple and ask them to fix it, they'd just give me a funny look. I can't really prove there is a problem, and of course after I unplug this stupid thing and reboot it, it will run great for an hour (or less). "Hi. This computer is too slow. Fix it." They'll just try to sell me their $500 RAM.
If there really is a problem with your new Mac, Apple won't give you a funny look; they will try to help you resolve it. However, if you have installed third party aftermarket memory that is substandard (which is not uncommon), it is your responsibility to replace it with module(s) that do meet Apple's specs. They do not have to be Apple-supplied modules, just well made ones supplied by vendors that guarantee their products meet or exceed these specs. Much of the "budget" or "generic" RAM modules on the market are not tested prior to being sold -- in effect, you are the quality control department.

    Hi
    What I'm saying is:
Make a new MONO audio track (use the + button). Assign it to input 1
Make a second new MONO track, assign it to input 2
Name both tracks, record-enable both tracks, and record.
You could, of course, make both tracks in one go via the new track dialog box, and hav ethem automatically assigned to ascending inputs.

  • How to record a time-limited video with Adobe AIR for iOS

I am trying to record a time-limited video with Adobe AIR for iOS.
For example, I want to implement the following function. Start a one-minute timer before launching CameraUI to record video. When the timeout event happens after one minute, stop recording video, close the CameraUI view and obtain the video data so far.
I have several questions related to that.
      1. How to stop recording video from outside the CameraUI view(in this case, from the timeout event handler) and then close the CemeraUI view? As far as I know, to close the CameraUI view, the only way is to press the [Use Video] button or the [Cancel] button from inside the CameraUI view. Is it possible to close it from outside?
      2. Even if the first problem mentioned above is solved, then how can I get the video data so far(in this case, the video data before the timeout). I know that normally we can get a MediaPromise object from MediaEvent parameter of the  complete handler, and read the video data from the MediaPromise object. But obviously in this case, we can not access the MediaPromise object just because the complete handler itself will not be executed since the [Use Video] button is not pressed.
      3. Is it possible to add a stopwatch to show possible remaining recording time when CameraUI view is open? It seems that the CameraUI automatically uses the full screen of iOS device(in my case, iPad) and there is no extra space to show the stopwatch.
Are there any solutions or workarounds about the three problem above? I really appreciate it if anyone has any idea about this. Thanks in advance.

You'd have more control by using the Camera object, showing the camera on a video object inside a Sprite, and capturing that. Then you could put whatever graphics alongside it on the stage.. I've used FlashyWrappers in a test to capture the video to the library.  It took some work, but the test worked well...

  • Is it possible to record and play at same time in swift, is there a option to record without storing the file

I am making a microphone, is it possible to record and play at same time in swift, is there a option to record without storing the file

Its pretty simple with FMS. You just need to do following things:
Publish using FMLE with following settings: (just telling which are needed , rest you configure based on your needs)
    Video codec: H.264
    Audio Codec: <of your choice>
    Server ip: rtmp://<server-uri>/<app-name>
    Stream Name: mp4:<stream-name>.f4v
    Application : Server-side code
    application.onPublish = function(myclient,mystream){
         mystream.record();
    application.onUnpublish = function(myclient,mystream){
         mystream.record(false);
Have a client , which subscribes in following live mode:-
ns.play("mp4:<stream-name>.f4v",-1,0,true);   // this is subscribing in live mode
In this way even if file is recorded, your clients are subscribing in live mode so all will be in sync.
Now if you want to disallow any clients who will try to subscribe to "recorded" file when live event is going on, you can achieve using auth adaptor. (let me know if you want to enforce such requirement)
But i think above solution solves your primary problem. Also please let me know if there are any issues in getting it work , i have given bare minimum which is required.

  • Recording video on 24 fps?

I wish to record video in 24 fps - dearly
Is there any way to by pass the phones inbuilt regulations (30 and 60 fps)? For example, I use an app (vintage 8mm video camera), which makes my phone record, or at least appear to record, in 15 fps, so maybe there is a way?
Otherwise, do you know of any other sony phone that can record in 24 fps?
    Best wishes
    Coraxo

Well, 30 fps is smoother than 24 fps and that is the problem, a bit of the cinematic look is lost. The industrial standard so far is to record or at least deliver the films in 24 fps, so we are simply conditioned to associate that frame rate with a film in the cinema. A deviation is The Hobbit, which is delivered at the double, 48 fps, I have not seen it myself though but am curious.
I read another interesting explanation on why many find 24 fps attractive, and that was that because of the less smooth expeience, we accept it as a film, and not reality, and because of this, more easily are drawn into the alternative universe the film maker creates.
At the last Sundance film festival, Tangerine, a film that was shot entirely with a phone, received a lot of praise, here is what the director says about the technical solutions:
"CP: What additional technology did you use to make shooting with an iPhone viable?
SB: We had this wonderful little anamorphic adapter that fits onto the end of the iPhone. It allowed us to shoot with a widescreen aspect ratio, which gave the film a very cinematic scope. We also used an inexpensive app called Filmic Pro; it locks exposure and focus, and most importantly it shoots at 24 frames a second. The adaptor and the app are what made me believe we could make an iPhone movie that looked like a film. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the film has a Super 16 feel on the big screen. [In post-production] we added grain and pumped up the colors, which added to the cinematic look and achieved something unique."
(For android I believe 'Cinema FV-5' is a corresponding app)
Anyway, in the end it boils down to taste.
