Possible to reset CMOS via software?

I read somewhere in the forum that someone did that by using Live Update (or Live monitor). How?

No - it is NOT possible to clear CMOS using software - it is a hardware jumper on your motherboard.
Live Update is MSI software to update your BIOS to newer versions when they are released. Beware, only use this Windows software method if you have a stable Windows environment and good power supply as any failure will kill your motherboard.

This is a long story but I will try to keep it short:
I just bought a new 875P Neo-FISR and a 3.0 GHz Prescott, which from reading the other posts could have been a mistake. I installed the CPU, memory, and the video card and pressed the power button and received a "CMOS Data Wrong" error. So I tried to correct the problem but when I saved and exited then the system would not boot back up. So, I reset the CMOS via the jumper and tried again. After MANY attempts I change just the month in the date setting. And what do you know...it would not boot back up. The D-Bracket LEDs were: 1-flashing red/green, 2-flashing red/green, 3-red, and 4-red
I must have read almost every post in this forum and tried many things such as:
disconnecting all componets except for video, ram, and cpu
the during boot to recover the BIOS
removing mobo from case, maybe a short
moving the memory to different slots
moving the PSU to a different computer...it works
disconnecting the PSU from the mobo and and removing the battery overnight. The first night I did not disconnecting the PSU from the mobo and I found that did nothing.
Tryed everything that I could think of and some stuff that others thought of but nothing worked. However the last item...removing the battery...did change things some. Now nothing happens, and I mean nothing...no lights, no fans, no buzzing...nothing.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The only recourse I have left is to RMA the board.

I tried one stick in all of the slots with and without the sound card. That did not work either.
The voltage for my memory is 2.6 so that is what I tried. But if I can get it to boot up again I will try 2.7.

After performing "reset factory state" (with HP Recovery Manager) I noticed the malfunction IE9 32bit.
Moreover, the absence of other software preinstalled (missing: Hp Hp setup-documentation-IE9 64bit).
When I tried a new reset, HP Recovery Manager to the voice system recovery (factory state) tells me:
(disabled: to restore the system, use recovery media)
Using Recovery DVD (in excellent condition),you receive the following error message:
"windows as encountered a problem comunicating with a device connected to your computer-This errorcan be cause by umpluggin a

The same happens with the F11 key during startup. Reset error.
The System Restore Microsoft does not resolve.
In Windows everything else seems to work and the hardware of the notebook has no problems.
The original dvd player has been replaced with a compatible; reads all the disks supported.
Only install MSE (I use only portable software).
There are no viruses or other malaware.
I performed procedures in hp support but nothing has changed.
You can find a solution?

I have no more 'answer because my computer had crashed complete.

Order the media why?
If discs created the first time the PC will not work. I suppose that does not solve the problem discs hp (I also read about a problem like mine. This problem has not been resolved with the media bought by HP).
I shot weeks the web and I finally found the appropriate procedure.
I made several attempts to solve the problem. But now I have succeeded.
1- Show Hidden Files \ protected
2- Enter with a program (es: file commander) in recovery partition and copy the file or files base.wim. My is about 18 Gb, 1 file.
3- We need a second PC and dvd
4- Follow a procedure described by internauta 37.

E 'was for me a little complicated but in the end I have my hp to the state of factory and everything works perfectly.

How to reset cmos on 5560 (trapped in boot loop)

I have a failed upgrade to Win 10 and then downgrade to 8.1 which is giving me problems. Currently the laptop is stuck in a boot loop where the BIOS starts and looks for something to boot to, gives a "please wait" message then shuts down and starts over again. Hitting any keys (F2, F12, F8, F11, etc.) does not do any good. Not sure if an external KB would even help. I have tried creating a bootable rescue DVD (from another computer) with no joy. Tried a couple of of bootable USB keys, also with no luck. Have tried removing, reducing memory to force a rejog, switched drives (I was using the old OEM drive and not the bigger one that I normally use). Tried removing the CMOS battery for over an hour, also with no luck. Took it out and am waiting to see if it erases. I have also tried holding down the power button with AC and battery out. ANy other suggestions? This must be a special "temporary" set up for installations but now the machine is stuck!

It is possible for the CMOS to be corrupted so that the POST/BIOS setup screen does not appear. In that case you have to reset the CMOS manually, for example by removing the CMOS backup battery, to "un-brick" the laptop.
Luckily there is a way to reset the CMOS for the Lenovo 3000 N200 model 0769, which doesn't require the battery to be removed or de-soldered. This is not documented in the maintenance manual, but can be incredibly useful. If your machine just beeps a few times when you turn it on (nothing on the display, machine otherwise appears dead), it's worth resetting the CMOS since that might save you having to RMA the laptop, or pay $$$ for out-of-warranty repair.
Turn off the laptop, remove the battery and AC adapter. Remove the access panel that covers the hard disk and wireless card. Examine the corner of the PCB opposite the wireless card. There are two exposed metal traces labelled CLRP1. You need to short those traces together for a few seconds.
You could use the end of a small flat-bladed metal screwdriver, or if you have a multimeter set it to measure current and put one probe on each trace.
After doing that the laptop should power on correctly. It will report that the time and date is not set, and that the CMOS checksum is bad. That's normal when the CMOS has been reset. Press F1 to enter the setup menu.

Can someone please tell me how to reset CMOS on K8N Neo MOBO?

Remove the power cable and the batery on the mobo.
You can also set a jumper, refer to the manual where it is located.
Don't forget to remove the power cable.

Can´t sync movies with iTunes 11.1.4 (on Mavericks 10.9.1) to iPhone 4S with iOS7. Is there a possibility to reset the sync on iTunes?

I produced some videos in iMovie 10.0.2 and transfered they to iTunes 11.1.4.
That worked so far....
After that I´ve compressed the movies for the use with iPhone and iPod
.....also worked.....
Then I tried to sync the movies to my iPhone4s with iOS7.0.4. The sync starts, runs and ends without an error. But after that I can´t find the movies on my phone. There is enough free memory on my phone and I also tried to shut the movie app and restart my phone. The movies are still not there.
When I check what´s on my phone with iTunes (iPhone connected), iTunes says the movies are on my phone!?!?!?
Maybe there are some troubles within a sync "library" or something like that? Is there a possibility to reset the sync services or whatever is responsible for the sync?
Or maybe somebody has another solution which solves the problem!?
The strange thing is that my music, books and all the other stuff will sync fine!
Hope that someone can help me with this issue.

I´ve fixed this issue as follows:
1) did a backup of the iPhone in the cloud
2) reset the iPhone in manufacturing mode
3) restored the backup out of the cloud
After that the sync with iTunes worked well also with movies.

No, you will need something more advanced, like Photoshop.

Itunes 10.4 won't install on 10.6.8 via software update

The problem is with the installer on some computers.
I went to an Apple Store and a Genius had to us the "root" administrator account to install iTunes 10.4. It is a hidden administrator account.

Firefox 3.6.15 is not downloading on MAC OSX, not via software update nor via manual download. It claims i do not have full admin rights which is not true.

If I do a manual download via FF website, it starts to install, asking if I want to replace an older version of FF. If I then continue, it says that it cannot process as I do not have access to 'certain components'????

I eventually did an archive and install to get 10.4.7 installed on my MBP the last time around. Now 10.4.8 is doing the same thing. Neither via Software Update nor manual downloads of Intel delta or combo updaters will apply. Arg!

Yes you can reset the password for any body using ABAP Code. But for that you really don't need any client number.
If this process is on regular basis, then recommended is to use BAPI for changing the user details Otherwise BDC also works fine.
=> Function Module - BAPI_USER_CHANGE
Call this in the program for resetting the password.
=> CALL TRANSACTION 'SU01' USING InternalTable
This will be executed in the BDC of SU01 transaction recording. Use the Password Change button in the application toolbar of transaction while recording.
