Possible to resize Subreport (CRXIR2-SP4)?

Hello,
is it possible to resize a subreport in the main report?
e.g.: I have a subreport with a chart of the size 3x3
Now I want to use this subreport in two main reports.
In the first it should the chart should be 3x3
In the second report the chart should be 6x6.
I would prefer to stick to one subreport for both instead of two.
Is there a Way?
Thanks
Christoph

Can't do it with only one sub-report.  One sub-report can't be two sizes.
For example, can you create a MS Word document that prints 3 X 3 one time you print it and 6 X 6 another time you print it without making any changes to that Word document?

The dpi depends on the print size you'll be making. This explains it in detail:  The Myth of DPI.
A 300 dpi image for a 4x6 print will have fewer pixels in it than a 300 dpi image for an 8. 10 print.
You can set the pixel dimension of a photo by exporting it via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option and use the Custom size setting.  However, you should crop the photo to the size ratio you want before exporting, i.e 4 x 6, 5 x 7, etc.  Then set the maximum pixel size you want for the image:

Assuming the screenshots are of the same page, the one that's taller is either taller because the minimum page height has been changed or due to some page content (that's not marked as a Footer Item) being located in the new space. This may be an empty text frame or the transparent area of a widget, text frame or other object.

  • Is it possible to resize the partitions without losing data?

    I have following issue:
I have dual-boot Arch with Windows XP. I created 4 partitions: 40GB XP's system disk (ntfs), 80GB ntfs data disk, 1GB swap and 25GB Linux partition.
But I am running XP so rarely, that it is frustrating, that I have most of my data on ntfs partition... I'd like to wipe out that 80GB ntfs, resize the system ntfs partition up to for example 60GB, and add the remaining 60GB to my linux ext3 partition (because I'm running out of free space recently...).
Has anyone done something like this, and how safe it is (if possible at all)
Yes, I have read this: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Res … _partition, and a few more.
I just don't have time to reinstall both systems (especially I would not like to install Windows, because I'd rather install Vista from my recovery disk, than hack the XP to work again...), and if some issues are likely to appear, then I'll give it up for now .

It's trivial using gparted, but as with any similar operation, you run the risk of losing data - so you'd better backup.

  • Is it possible to resize a mac partition from windows?

Here's what's going on. I originally wanted to use Disk Utility to do this, which is clearly the easy way to do things, but my computer is so slow that Disk Utility immediately becomes unresponsive upon wanting to resize -any- partition. The windows side works fine though, it isn't slow as crap. Is there a way to resize the mac partition from windows (HFS+)? Any possible way? Even crazy ones? I'm open to suggestions.
Oh yeah, and in case you want to know...my Mac Mini just randomly started getting really, really slow, so slow in fact, that now my old iMac from 1999 is faster (it doesn't even have ANY RAM!). I tried resetting the PRAM/NVRAM, multiple times, booting into safe mode takes forever, but I left it for awhile and it finished. Almost worked, the finder showed up quicker than usual, but then it reverted back to it's slow self again once I opened Disk Utility. I tried booting into single user mode and typing /sbin/fsck -fy, and it's so slow, that it couldn't even do that! It got stuck at checking libraries or something, for hours, and i could type things in still, but it wouldn't recognize any commands (ie fsk - fy). I also cannot replace the RAM because it is an older mac mini and those things are hard as f*** to repair, trust me, i've tried. The weirdest part of all of this has to be that this is the computer that we DON'T download many apps onto, so it most likely isn't bloatware, adware, a virus or something else. We download most stuff to our MacBook, and go to the sketchy websites on it as well (it really should be the other way around, the mac mini would be around 3x less expensive to replace, it's just that it's the family computer). And that's always slow, but this surpassed it (btw, the laptop is a year or so older). I do not have the installation disk.
Can someone help? Mainly about the first thing...please. The second thing is hopeless, I will need to get a new computer pretty soon, and these macs don't last as long as they used to I guess, we'd most likely get a quality Windows PC to replace it, this has been a disappointment. I'm just trying to get a little more life out of it with Linux, maybe a year or two. That's what i've done with my old iMac. Runs GREAT. Especially for a 13 year old computer. The thing is, my folks don't want me to completely eliminate the mac partition even though it's virtually unusuable.

I'm not really understanding what the end goal was. But in case anyone else comes across the thread, neither the built-in Windows volume resizing utility nor any 3rd party Windows resizing utility should be used to resize either the Windows partition or the Mac OS partition. Invariably they all manipulate the NTFS volume in such a way that the secondary GPT is corrupt, the primary GPT is rendered invalid, and only correctly alter the MBR. It's a recipe for data loss.
Conversely, while Disk Utility can resize a Mac OS volume, it cannot resize an NTFS volume. With Lion and Mountain Lion, upon using Boot Camp Assistant there are already four partitions: EFI System, Mac OS, Recovery HD, and Windows. There is no more room for a fifth partition in the MBR partition scheme, and if you try to add one, Disk Utility will apparently let you and render Windows unbootable (because Disk Utility adds the fifth partition to the GPT, but can't add it to the MBR, and instead removes the hybrid MBR needed for Windows support and replaces it with a PMBR.)
So in effect this is not to be done except with 3rd party utilities.

  • Is it possible to resize greenscreen video?

I have a background of a lake, and I want to drop in a greenscreen of me walking on water. I can do it, but I can't see how to resize the greenscreen image so that proportionally it looks ok. All I can seem to do is resize the bottom layer of the lake, not the greenscreen itself. Am I missing something? Hugh

Anything is possible. However, many things are unlikely enough that it's a waste of energy to worry about them. This would be one of those things.
Clowns, however, are scary and all too commonplace.

  • Is it possible to resize slides?

    Hi,
I have a template that I use for my e-learning to keep a consistent look and feel, and because I have a few advanced actions set up.  For one project, I need to slightly adjust the height of the slides.  Is this possible?  I want to keep all the slides, and their associated objects and actions, just resize them so that I can fit a little more on screen.
Hoping this is possible, and that someone knows a way this can be done, but a cursory search on Google and in the UI of Captivate didn't reveal anything.
I'm using Cp5.5 but can upgrade or downgrade if required.  Thanks all!

Thanks Lilybiri, that's very helpful.  I was hoping that Cp would resize the slides, and not the graphic objects, but as you said, it treats them all the same so there is quality loss and distortion (since I'm keeping the width the same, but amending the height).
However, this is still a viable solution for me, because the main thing I didn't want to have to do was recreate all the advanced actions again, and recreate the associated click boxes, etc.  So I'll resize and then just re-add all the graphics and start from there.
Thanks very much for your help!

  • Is it possible to resize individual slides?

    Hi!
I'd need some help with my movie:
I'm recording a program that opens multiple windows in
different sizes, some of these are non-resizeable dialog boxes.
What I'd like to do is to always show the current window in
the height of my movie. In the remaining left and right side areas,
I'd like to show a black background.
So basically, the whole thing would look something like this:
    Main movie is 800x600 pixels.
I show the application's main window in this size.
Then I launch another window in the application, and instead
of the window's original size (let's say 600x700) I show it resized
    to the movie's height.
    Is this possible with Captivate?
    Thank you!

I don't remember there being a way to resize individual
    slides within
Captivate. I usually use PhotoShop or Fireworks for granular
    changes like
    that.
With no access to PhotoShop or similar, I'd build/scale the
    'smaller' slides
in a separate Captivate movie then copy/paste them into the
    the 800x600 one.

  • Is it possible to resize the row / column of a table at run time ?

    Hello All ,
I want to make a table where the user have to put datas . But if some data exceeds the length of the column / row the user should have the ability to resize the column / row of the table just like we are able to do at the time of designing . Is it possible ??
    Thanks .
    Bibhu .

    Hi,
If you select a cell in the table that cannot receive data, then the expand to fit will not be available.
However if you select an object that is in the table (like a textfield) then the option of expand to fit should be available.
    Try experimenting with the options.

  • Is it possible to resize Solaris (8) partition and move it?

    Hi,
I have a multiboot machine (w2k, RH9, Solaris8), on which solaris partition has some extra space. I need to resize Solaris (shrink it) and also move its location on the disk so that I can use the extra space by expanding the linux root partition.
Is this possible without a solaris reinstall? I don't have the CD's and reinstalling is not an option.
Can this be done using some of the partition tool and disk editors?
    Any pointers will be appriciated!

I haven't seen any Partition Manager for Solaris x86, specially for Solaris 10 which has changed its partition number because it used to be equal to Linux Swap File, I've tryied Partition Manager, Partition Magic and none seems to works, if somebody knows about a partition manager that detects Solaris partition let us know

  • Is it possible to resize xcelsius to fit infoview window?

    Xcelsuis 2008 SP3
Rather than going back and fourth with formatting,  is there an auto resizing feature that will somehow get a dashboard to "fti-to-screen" within infoview...  I haven't seen anything that addresses this?
After exporting to platform,  dashboard is pretty, too small to view?

    Hi Michael
Infoview will by default fill as much of thevscreen as possible with your dashboard. So the problem is that if you have a large canvas it will mean that info view will squash this down into the screen real estate, and conversely small dashboard canvases will be increased in size to fit the screen.  So shat you are asking for already happens.
Can you remove all unwanted 'white' space from around the dashboard, to minimize the canvas size?
Could you decrease the height of the canvas to allow a vertical scroll bar to appear, this will expand the dashboard within Infoview, but users will have to scroll down to see all of thhw dashboard?
There is another option which involves editing one of the info view .XML files, but this causes other issues!
    Thanks
    Charles

  • Is it possible to resize page column widths at runtime (by the user)?

    hi all,
i have cretaed a page using the 2-columns narrow/wide layout.  this layout is perfect for what i want to do.
however, the users have complained that they would like to be able to resize the columns, just like they are able to do with the Detailed Navigation column (using the small "<" and ">" arrows).
is it posssible to add this functionality to my custom pages so that can also resize the columns?
i searched for options in the properties, but didn't find anything.
    thanks,
    mm

This was a great place for me to start
    Thank you
I took profdant139's suggestions a bit further as my real goal was to have the "Document column" narrower. The goal to be able to see all the other document info that was usually hidden way out to the right
To achieve my results I right clicked in the upper bar with the column names and chose from the drop down box "comments" column (as suggested). I then dragged it to the far right. This pushed all the other columns over.
In the end of the day I ended up adding "Size" and "Date modified" columns as well to get my desired results.
Remember one can move different columns around to be in the order you need by clicking on the column to get it active and then left click and drag it to where you want
Another great thing is that by default (Using Mavericks) the date modified, opened, created columns have date and time. One can shrink them down to xx/xx/xx format by manually adjusting the column width like one does in Excel - click on column separator up top and drag
Once all that is done, at least on my box, I closed it out and opened up a new finder window and everything was as I wanted.
Thank you for the help  from the above helper to get me here

  • Is it possible to resize the log and capture window?

    Hi,
Using Final cut pro, I would like to make my capture window a bit bigger while capturing. I am capturing footage via my Blackmagic Infinity card and get the input through an HDMI cable. I'm capturing in Apple Pro ress on 720p, 59,59 fps.
For a good overview of what I'm capturing at the moment, I would love to have a bigger capture window. For all I know, FC pro doesn't support the resizing of the log and capture window. Anyone an idea on how to solve this?
    Thank you.

In my case, the capture window is adjustable if I am capturing SD (DVCAM) video. I can also use the scopes in this case. (Good if you are recording to disk, or using a laptop for monitoring.)
However, both features (adjustable capture window and scopes) are not available if capturing HD (HDV in my case) video.
