Possible to save HTML email as HTML?

Is it possible to take an html email I've received and save it as html for easy conversion to a webpage? This is a weekly newsletter (someone else creates it) that gets emailed to people and then put up on the group's website (that I'm in charge of). I've been just saving it as plain text and having to reapply all the formatting once I get it into Dreamweaver, but it seems rather redundant. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I have a shareware program that should do what you want. I don't want to use Apple's discussion board to promote my own software though. Just do a search on "etresoft" and you should find it/me. Contact me via e-mail if you want more info.

  • How can I view emails in HTML format or at least o...

    Dear Nokia,
I've recently purchased the Nokia e90 to use for email using Vodafone push email (push.vodafone.nl) however the emails are in plain text format and not even the links are accessible.
    I have the folowing questions:
    1) is it possible to view pushed emails in HTML format
    2) is it possible to load links from emails in the browser
    3) is it possible to select a piece of text from an email to copy and paste it in the browser (form field)
    Best Regards,

Well, that doesn't work for me as it reads from pop or imap.
I want to be able to use the push email service of my provider for which I pay a monthly fee. It will make emails come in like SMS.
At least the links should be openable somehow. I receive admin emails and need to select a link to perform an admin task. I actually was hoping that the communicator was going to make it more easy for me. My HTC X7500 broke down and aldough it worked very well for internet browsing, I could only use gmail via the internet browser as outlouk wasn't working very well for me. While the x7500 is being fixed I decided to purchase the e90 for email (communication) purposes but now it seems the email functionality is limited to sms a like without the 160 charlimit.
Is it not possible at all to open links in incomming emails within the nokia messenger?
And what about copying text from an email (into the browser)
Thanks in advance for your help and tips.

  • Possible to embed pdf into email (as HTML, not pdf)?

Hi I have a client who doesn't want to email pdfs to all their subscribers. They're finding people won't open the pdf or their security systems hold the email up.
Is it possible to save the pdf out as some sort of file that can be embedded into an email and viewed when they open up the email. HTML? I tried doing a "save as", but this didn't work for me. Or course, I could be doing something wrong. I saved the file out and looked at it. Looked fine, but trying to attach it into an email didn't work.
I should mention I'm currently using version 6 pro with the upgrade (v9) on its' way. Mac G5, OS10.5.5.
    Thanks. Sandra

To send an html email, you must first build a web page (with the contents you need) then send that.
Keep in mind that a lot of people have disabled the option to get the html so they will see garbage.
Here is a great resource for html email design...

  • Is it possible to save HTML files to touch memory?

Is it possible to save html files to the touch memory and view them when not within WiFi range? When traveling I'm more often than not without a WiFi connection. I do NOT want an iPhone nor it's hefty wireless data bill. I simply want to view locally saved HTML files. Is that possible without jailbreaking? Thank you.

This is a great question. I want to buy a Touch but I won't buy one until I know the answer to this question.
I went to an Apple store last week and told them I ride the bus to work every day. I said I wanted to download information over my wireless network at home, then view the info while riding the bus to work.
The guy told me that I could view whatever was in my cache. I don't know how big the cache is. I read through the Itouch user guide and couldn't find any info.
If someone has some useful experience, it would be very appreciated. If you can use the cache, how many typical web pages can you store?

  • Possible bug with HTML emails and attachments from Mail.app

I'm trying to send an attachment with an HTML email from Mail.app and getting unexpected results. I've been messing around with the order that things get added to the new e-mail and it seems that I can have either an attachment or I can have HTML email, not both.
    The code... (of course simplified)
    tell application "Mail"
    set new_message to make new outgoing message with properties {subject:"A subject", sender:"[email protected]"}
    tell new_message
    set visible to true
    make new to recipient at end of to recipients with properties {address:"[email protected]"}
tell content to make new attachment with properties {file name:alias "Path to your file as string"} at after the last paragraph
set html content to "<head><body>Some HTML here...</body></head>"
    end tell
    send new_message
    end tell

The problem is that there is no such thing as HTML email.
Well, I wonder what I have been generating for over three years now. RTF ? Because it sure looks like HTML. I must agree that HTML is not documented or even mentionned in the Mail AS dictionnary, but it does work, though you must specify visible to false so that it does. Here's my sub:
    tell application "Mail"
set DMF to default message format
set default message format to plain text
    set newMessage to make new outgoing message with properties {subject:theSubject}
    tell newMessage
    set visible to false
    set sender to theSender
    make new to recipient at end of to recipients with properties {name:Photographer, address:theAddress}
set html content to "<html><head><title>" & theSubject & "</title></head><body>" & "This is an automated response." & theSource & "Find your personnal planning on the web: " & thelink & "
    </body></html>"
    end tell
    send newMessage
set default message format to DMF
    end tell

  • How to use/import CM Tags in html email templates?

    Hi guys
I would like to start designing html email templates and send mailings for my clients. Can anyone tell me how I can easily insert CM tags so that the template will be easily adapted to the content of the certain email in the email manager like Campagin Monitor?
    Thanks!
    Bob

    Hi Nancy O.
I would like to design my own templates and instantly insert the right tags and so, so that I can import the templates to websites like Campaign Monitor and my clients can open templates when sending new mailsings.
The goal is to have my own designed templates for my clients with their layouts which they can use for their mailings. Also extending the newsletter (adding new article fields) should be possible etc.
Can you tell me what codes I need and what I should pay attention to in order to design nice templates that will appear correctly in nearly each mailbox?
    Thanks in advance!

  • How to view all pages of a multi-page HTML email in Mac Mail 5+ (Lion to Mavericks)?

In previous versions of Mac Mail (up to that included with Snow Leopard, Mail 4), it was possible to scroll through all pages of a multi-page HTML email, like that send from the Tivoli Storage Manager reporting system.
Since Lion, that has not been possible. The first page displays, but that's it.
As a possible complication, I'm accessing an Exchange server, not IMAP.
I have not been able to find a setting that might be related to this, nor have I found anyone who seems to be perturbed by this issue. Perhaps there's very few of us trying to read multi-page Tivoli reports on a Mac.
In any case, I would prefer not to switch to a different mail app, or sign on to the Outlook Web Service version of our email to see the full report.
    Any thoughts?

I've been able to find someone willing to do some testing that I can't do without installing old versions of Reader on my computer.  The surprising (to me) result is that the Submit button causes the problem.  By simply removing the Submit button, Reader 10 is now able to print page 1.  The Submit button was set up to do a "mailto".  I don't know whether other destinations also cause the problem of the page not printing with old versions of Reader.

  • How to send an HTML email?

    Hey guys
For the longest time I've been wanting to send HTML emails with Mail, not for promotional stuff, but more for thanking our clients for their business. This is the perfect holiday season to send a Thank You email to them, but I don't want just to send a plain and boring text email, I want graphics on it. I know this wasn't possible to do with any previous OSX until Tiger. This is what the Mail page says... - HTML Message Composition - Mail uses the Safari engine to format newly composed email using HTML. I read another post about an HTML Script to work with mail but it got so confusing that I wasn't able to make it work. Can anybody tell how to make this work? A step-by-step tutorial would be great, not just for me but for all those Mail users that are trying to do the same thing. If Apple can send those HTML emails and Newsletters, why can't we? I don't think they're using a Windows computer or any other email software to do this. Better not! :P
This is the post I read, but it was posted a year ago, so I know there's got to be something more up to date.
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=667497&ft=y&amp;#667497
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hello Luis.
Although RTF with Tiger Mail is basic HTML, you can't compose complex HTML within the body of a message.
You can use an HTML composer of choice to include embedded images/graphics and/or objects that are stored on a server (to be downloaded/rendered from the server) when the message is opened by recipients instead of attaching images/graphics to the message.
After saving the document, you can open the document with Safari to ensure the layout and settings are correct and at the menu bar, choose Edit > Mail Contents of This Page.
A new Mail.app message will open and the contents of the webpage will be copied to the message and it will be sent in its entirety.

  • HTML email saving as Rich Text

    Hi,
We are having an issue with Outlook 2013 on Exchange 2013, where we need to save emails on a regular basis and it loses embedded attachments.
The emails when we attempt to save them are in html format – but when they save they auto change to Rich Text and as such they lose the attachment.
We found another guy who has the same issue
    http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/392648-outlook-items-converting-to-rich-text
and there seems to be no solution – drama is I really need one !!!!! HELP!
    We have so far: -
Tried a ‘save as’ to outlook msg with and without uni code.
When saved email is opened, it is in ‘Rich Text’ format
    Embedded attachments are missing.
Also when responding to emails that are received from clients outside of the organisation, it converts the email to rich text and if sent, do not get past the exchange and remain in the ‘submission queue’ with “a storage transient failure” error for 3 days
    before bouncing back as undeliverable.
TNEF was enabled which gave a whole lot of other errors so was disabled again

    Hi Alanvdw,
    Thanks for your response.
Cached Exchange Mode provide users a better online and offline experience. Cached Exchange Mode lets users move between connected and disconnected environments without interrupting their experience in Outlook. Also, it insulates users from network latency
and connectivity issues while they are using Outlook.
For more information, here is an article for your reference.
Choose between Cached Exchange Mode and Online Mode for Outlook 2013
