Possible to see what is logging me out?

I'm having an issue where my MacBook Pro is suddenly logging me out. Frequently I see it when I think I put my laptop to sleep when I leave my office, but when i turn it back on the next morning, it either is logged out or it has a message that an app prohibited the logout from happening.
Is it possible to log when the logout event occurrs and what is triggering it?

Maybe check this first:

If the repair shop was not apple certified repair shop then Apple will not replace/ or touch that device with a ten foot pole sadly. I'd follow Rudegar's advise and try anthoer repair shop as sadly it sounds like you got jipped by the original owner. Always verify your infomation through the company before you hand over the money!

  • Is there anyway possible to see what has been shared via Airdrop?

I'm trying to see what has been shared via Airdrop, specifically contacts. Is this possible?

    Hello Jim,
Check the logs in STMS.  That will show what has been imported.
Choose your import queue for your production box.  Once you are viewing that, you can click on the 'Scroll' icon which gives you the 'Import History'.
Be sure you adjust the filter accordingly to see everything.
    Thanks,
    Nick

  • Is it possible to see what traffic my clients made on the time capsule?

    Hello!
is it possible to see on my macbook what traffic my clients made on the time capsule?
With airport utillity 6.2 i cannot see this!
sorry for my english and thanks for help

If you control-click on the Time Machine icon and select "Browse Other Time Machine Disks" but don't see the other backups, try this: Look in the "sidebar" of a Finder window for your Time Capsule.  If you see it, select it, then look for the Time Capsule's disk (probably called "Data" if you didn't rename it).  Double-click that to mount it.  Now try again to control-click on the Time Machine Dock icon.

  • What's logging me out?

When I have been away from my computer for several hours, I am not surprised to have to provide my password, but I am surprised to see the computer starting up again, opening all my login items, etc etc. This takes time I'd rather save.
I have checked my prefs for security, desktop, screen saver, and energy saver.  None of them require a log-out. My general security pref does require a password after four hours screen saver time.
What might I be missing?  I assume that require a password, simply means that the passwrd will unlock a running system; am I wrong there?

Upon further thought, it seems to me that the only setting causing my need to restart by system after hours away is the setting in Security and Privacy that says Require Password (4 hours) after screen saver starts. It is definitely those occurances that give me the signon window, which then goes into a restart when I provide my password.
Was this the design intention, or is it a bug?

  • Is it possible to see what time a message was opened?

We are running GW2012 and have a querie from a user asking if we can get a timestamp on when a message was opened? for example I receive a mail message from an external person into my mailbox and I open it. Is there a record of when I opened it that I can easily get to?

    Hi,
Here's what I've found... By going to the "More Columns" option in the Mailbox and adding in the "Modified" field it will show when the e-mail was opened. However, in my testing, the display only updated if I navigated away from the Mailbox folder and then went back to Mailbox - it doesn't appear to auto-refresh with the information. Test this out in your own environment and let us know how it goes.
    Cheers,

Thanks in advance .Learning where to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
Go to tahiti.oracle.com. Drill down to your product and version.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab you will find the complete documentation library.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what kind of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what kind of information is available there, especially the initialization parms and the data dictionary views.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
    - Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
    - Look in your alert log and find all the non-default initialization parms listed at instance startup. Then read up on each one of them in the Reference Manual.
    - Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
    - When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.

  • See what iPod is doing

Is it possible to see what an iPod connected to a Windows PC is doing? What song is currently playing, in particular. I'd like to write a Perl script that takes the "Now Playing" information and posts it on a website. I can't just copy the songs to the PC and use iTunes (company won't allow MP3 files on PCs), so the info has to come directly from the iPod.

    Apple may

If Apple determines that an iPod is not repairable, for example, if it has failed due catastrophic damage or the iPod has been disassembled into multiple pieces, then Out-of-Warranty Service is not available and the iPod will be returned. You are not the first to report that, as expected, microwaving an iPod damages it.

  • Seeing what songs are in what playlists

Although there are a few dicussions about this, I can't seem to understand the solution to it. So the question is, is it possible to see what songs are in what playlists and whether there are any songs not in a playlist, so I can organise them into one?
    Thanks.

You want something like this, where the Not in All Playlists smart playlist is not inside the All Playlists folder, but everything else that you want included is.

  • How would I be able to see what devices are logged in under my apple I.D and be able to log them out

I just want to see what devices are logged in under my apple I.D and be able to log them out

You cannot see which devices are logged in to your Apple ID but you can see which devices is using your iCloud account for Find My iPhone. See this article on how to remove devices from your iCloud account remotely iCloud: Remove your device from Find My iPhone.
Edit: You do however get an email notification when someone signs in to your Apple ID on a new device.

  • HT204053 How do I log into iCloud to see what I have stored on it and how do I change my password if I forgot it?

When I first got my iPad mini for Christmas I didn't think that I set up an iCloud account. When I go to iCloud in my settings it says that I have stuff in an iCloud account. How do I find out if I have an iCloud account and how would I get a new password or reset the password. Also, how do log into log into iCloud to see what I have in storage. Thanks.... if you need to contact me about this matter. I have an iPad mini.
    <Email Edited by Host>

You aren't addressing Apple here.  This is a user forum and you shouldn't post personal information here such as your email address.  I've asked the host to remove it.
As for your question, go to Settings>iCloud and write down the email address shown next to "Account".  That's your iCloud ID.  Then, if you can't remember the password for the ID, go here to reset it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE36.  Once you have the new password, you can go to icloud.com from your computer and sign into to see some of the data you are syncing with iCloud.  If you are syncing your iPad with iCloud, this data is on your iPad too.  You are syncing the data that you have set to On in Settings>iCloud.

    Either of these should help.
    http://grandperspectiv.sourceforge.net/
    http://www.whatsizemac.com/
Or search 'disk size' in the App Store.
Be carefull with what you delete & have a backup BEFORE you start, you may also want to reboot to try to free any memory that may have been written to disk.

  • I synced two of my email accounts via gmail's POP3 thing. But now my iphone's gmail inbox shows a random selection of emails (not most recent ones that are in my inbox). How can I make my iphone inbox match what I see when I log on using a PC?

I synced two of my email accounts via gmail's POP3 capabilities. But now my iphone's gmail inbox only shows a random selection of emails (i.e. right now it is May 31, 2013 but the emails in my inbox are a couple from Nov 12, a few from Oct 12, and then some way older than that and so on.When I log into my gmail from a computer, I see all my emails in the logical, standard order. How can I make my iphone inbox match what I see when I log on using a PC?

If you're trying to decide between using POP and IMAP, we encourage you to use IMAP.
Unlike POP, IMAP offers two-way communication between your web Gmail and your email client. This means when you log in to Gmail using a web browser, actions you perform on email clients and mobile devices (ex: putting mail in a 'work' folder) will instantly and automatically appear in Gmail (ex: it will already have a 'work' label on that email the next time you sign in).
IMAP also provides a better method to access your mail from multiple devices. If you check your email at work, on your mobile phone, and again at home, IMAP ensures that new mail is accessible from any device at any given time.
Finally, IMAP offers a more stable experience overall. Whereas POP is prone to losing messages or downloading the same messages multiple times, IMAP avoids this through two-way syncing capabilities between your mail clients and your web Gmail.
That is from the page that you linked- does highlighted part of message ring a bell?

  • HT1209 My Itunes Library and iPhone have fallen out of sync on music over the yearsare - how can I compare my itunes library with my Iphone  to see what songs are missing from my library so I can then bring my Library up to date

My Itunes Library and iPhone have fallen out of sync on music over the yearsare - how can I compare my itunes library with my Iphone  to see what songs are missing from my library so I can then bring my Library up to date

    Hello Solid Buck,
Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing.  It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone.  I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.
