Possible to stream wireless tv to PB?

Hello,
I saw a device the other day that allowed your tv to stream a wireless signal to a pc or laptop.
This works only for Windows XP
Is there anything like this for the mac?
Thanks
Frank

Just adding to Red Dwarf's post.
In tandem with Elgato's eyeTV, it's possible for CyTV to stream TV programmes that can then be viewed with VLC on any platform (that VLC supports).
EDIT: The eyeTV/CyTV/VLC combination works very well on my 1.42GHz Mac mini (streaming server) and PowerBooks (client) via my home Airport Extreme network. However, CyTV can also stream over the internet - which I have not tried.

    Since all iTunes content on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer, why not play the music with iTunes on your computer? You can stream from your iTunes library on your computer via wi-fi, but not from your iPhone, and you can use your iPhone as a remote for your iTunes on your computer.

  • Possible to Stream a Flash Presentation?

    Hi all! I work for a university and we have some faculty that
    are creating some huge flash presentations. I know that flash is
    remarkably fast when it comes to downloading, but with these large
    presentations it's still taking some time. Is it possible to
    stream a flash presentation? Compress the audio? Any other
    ideas?

    Never seen TGotoFrame, but there is GotoFrame() and Play(),
    which has worked
    well for me. Here's a function I've used to change videos in
    a Flash movie
    from image buttons in the HTML:
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
    function changeVideo(xname){
    if(window.brtv){
    window.document["brtv"].SetVariable("theXML", xname);
    window.document["brtv"].GotoFrame(0);
    window.document["brtv"].Play();
    if(document.brtv){
    document.brtv.SetVariable("theXML", xname);
    document.brtv.GotoFrame(0);
    document.brtv.Play();
    //-->
    </SCRIPT>
    Where brtv is the name of the div containing the movie.

  • How do i stream wirelessly from 4s to my LCD television

    how do i use my iphone and connect to an LED 60 inch Samsung television wirelessly

    You can stream wirelessly if you get an Apple TV and connect it to your TV.
    Otherwise, you can as RG said cable directly; what cable you'll need will depend on the inputs on your TV, but HDMI is probable so you'd need this adapter:

    and an HDMI cable.

  • Is this Possible? Stream Video File using Server or Encoder?

    Is it possible to stream a video file (.mp4) Live using the Flash Media Encoder or by placing the file in an app instance on a flash media streaming server?
    Thanks!

    First of all lets call it Flash Media Interactive Server (adding Streaming becomes little confusing to readers as we have Flash Media Streaming Server) - both are FMS but two different edition.
    Now coming to FMIS, you can place all your video files in "streams" directory of application in the simplest configuration and then use Server-side API Class "Stream" to play them. When you use Stream class to play VOD files, it basically becomes live publish and is available as live stream. I will give you simple code snippet which will explain what i am saying above:
    var myStream;
    application.onAppStart = function(){
         myStream = Stream.get("livestream");
         myStream.onStatus = function(info){
              trace("Info code:"+info.code);
        myStream.play("mp4:myvod.f4v",0,-1,true);
    Now client will subscribe to live stream using stream name as "livestream" and it will basically get all the content of mp4:myvod.f4v
    Say if you save above code in file named main.asc and place it in application folder named "test" on FMS, you will need to copy "mp4:myvod.mp4" inside "streams" i.e. create "_definst_" folder or any instance name folder under "streams" folder of "test" and place the file there
    Hope this helps

  • Is it possible to stream live video from a camera to an iPad3 via bluetooth or a cable?

    Is it possible to stream live video from a camera to an iPad3 via bluetooth or a cable?
    I want to use my iPad as a screen for a reversing camera in my van and want to know if this is possible. do i need a bluetooth camera and is there a specific one that will connect to the iPad? Or is there any form of adaptor that I can plug the camera straight into the iPad?

    no
    only "live" thing one can do is to airplay mirror the screen of a ios device or a newer mac with mtn lion

    Its possible to stream one video at the same time to three appletv2?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You can't stream a movie to more than one device at a time from iTunes. You can however stream the same (or indeed a different) movie from multiple Apple TVs although they won't necessarily be in sync.

  • ATV stream wirelessly w/o any other additional gadgets but Airport Extreme?

    Hey, I am sure this is probably a stupid question and may have been answered, but I just want to clarify that since I have APPLE EXTREME streaming wirelessly that it will stream to Apple TV without any other additional adapters, etc?? I ask because I own WDTVLIVE and while I enjoy that it plays almost every format, I am having a heck of a time trying to get it to stream wirelessly. I've bought several USB wireless adapters "claimed" to be compatible, but they didn't work. In any event, I am thinking about just purchasing ATV since a working adapter could cost just as much (if I ever find one that works??) if I can get a confirmation that it connects wirelessly as my IPOD, IPHONE, LAPTOP does through my Airport Extreme?? I am correct to assume that it's just a matter of plugging in the device and it should detect my Airport Extreme without any other additional Wireless gadgets??
    Thanks in advance for whomever answers.

    How do you know this if the new Apple TV has not even shipped yet? I was wondering the same thing. I currently stream iTunes media library through Airport Extreme w/Hard drive. If this is true then that would be amazing. I might buy 3 of them for different rooms of my house.

  • Possible to stream from FMLE to another (desktop)computer?

    This is some kind of a challenge: I'm trying to find a
    sollution for streaming a video signal from one computer
    (preferably with FMLE) and pick up the video stream on another
    computer and show the video fullscreen.
    So far it seem to me that FMLE is only able to deliver the
    video stream to a Flash Media Server. Is this correct?
    I'm hoping it is possible to stream the video from FMLE and
    "pick up" that single stream from another computer with maybe a
    program like VLC (or another application? - I just read that VLC
    supports RTMP streams), and show the video fullscreen.
    In theory, maybe I can use Flash Media Server for this, if it
    is able to show the video it's picking up fullscreen.
    Any suggestions or thoughts would be apreciated!
    regards

    carlnes
    Windows Media Encoder and Player as a combination can do this "direct pull" from an encoder to a player without a server in the middle.  But in all the years of commercial live streaming I have done in 10 years, Flash Media Encoder can not be operated in the same way.  A Flash Server has to be in the middle.

    Is it possible to stream music to multiple sets of speakers via airplay direct from iphone4s on ios7 in the same way that you can in iTunes / Remote?
    I know this can be achieved by the remote app.
    Airplay functionality appears only to support 1 set of speakers at a time?

    Does anyone know how or if it's possible to stream my music from the iPhone to iTunes via bluetooth or wifi? Essentially I want to share the iPhone's library with iTunes (I know one can go the other way).
    Here's why: I'd like to stream my music at work to my computer's speakers without taking the phone out of my pocket. I obviously don't have my home music collection on my company computer. And I figure if I place the phone on my desk to plug it in and play through iTunes, I could easily walk off without the phone. That would be bad (out of contact) and potentially sad (stolen).
    It seems right now the only bluetooth connection to a computer is for the remote application.
    Wait until November. Airplay/Airtunes iOS 4.2 announced for iPhone to iTunes/iTV. If you want a BT audio stream now, you can add a dongle to the PC for headset streaming.
    As far as WiFi file transfer iPhone to iTunes, you can't. There's talks on it but nothing concrete. Except JB.

    The WLC can be completly configured and operated without the WCS. The WCS is a nice addition for the management especially when running multiple WLC's but is not required.
