Possible to sync GroupWise calendar info?

Anyone know of a way to sync GroupWise calendar info to the iPhone 3G?
My office uses GroupWise. Ideally, I'd like to be able to sync my GroupWise work calendar and also have a personal calendar separately, but for now would be happy just to have a way to get my GroupWise calendar data to sync without having to manually enter it separately into a completely different calendar.

The only way I have found to get my calender onto my iPhone is to use this scraper program by Ben Galbraith which can be found here:
http://galbraiths.org/blog/2007/04/11/groupwise-exporter-10/
It is not the most elegant solution but it works, and this is the only thing that I have found that works! What you do is enter in your groupwise login and password and point the script to your company's groupwise webmail site. It then scrapes your webcalender and serves out (via an open port on your machine) an iCal calender. Then you open up iCal and subscribe to you current IP address and port. You groupwise calender then shows up in iCal and can be synced to your iPhone. Note that this is a read only solution and you can not add calender items.
What would be an even more elegant solution would be if iCal or the iPhone was some how able to interpret and sync to the IMAP calender. Maybe someone has already figured this one out. If so then let me know.

  • Possible to save texts & calendar info???

I currently have a droid maxx that I've had for over a year. I still have my old droid cell that I was using before my current one. I still have my calendars and text messages on my old cell that I do not want to lose. I developed health problems that have effected my memory & the thought of losing so much of my info that is important to me, is upsetting. My sister is having financial trouble and would like to use my old phone. I can't give it to her until I miss my info off of it. Verizon is telling me that it is not possible! Any advice or info anyone can help me when?!!!! Please!! I have tooooo much info to actually manually transfer it! There are over three years of input's and logs! Help!!

There are several applications in the Play Store to backup and transfer SMS from one phone to another. The calendar might be trickier, but there should be something.
Is Motorola Migrate available on your phone? You might be able to use that application to transfer everything.

  • Possible to sync iphone calendar over to iCal?

I manage my calendar/contacts through outlook at work (active sync to iPhone), and would like a copy of them on my iMac. Is it possible to copy them off my iphone and over to iCal/Contacts? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.
    thanks

I called apple and they said that since my contacts are loaded from Exchange, that security settings prevent the iphone from handing off the contacts to the imac. Nothing we can do about it.
Im just going to export my contacts from outlook at work and import them into the mac.
    thanks!

  • Is it possible to sync a calendar that is shared from a microsoft exchange account?

I subscribe currently to a calendar from a coworker on exchange.  In outlook answering this invite was a very simple one click and it was added to my list of calendars.
I cannot seem to add this calendar to the ipad.  I have tried several things, basically all that I can think of and no luck.  No calendar.
Itunes does not see the calendar in sync.  If I choose "all calendars" in sync it never appears.
Icloud does not see it or add it from outlook despite it having been there for quite some time.
I really need some help here.

Is the CalDAV account information specific to me or would it be specific to the author of the calendar who initially sent out the invite?
Will all the petinent updating and manipulating permissions remain as they were intended per the original invite?
Many thanks again.  I was hesitant to post thinking I was missing something simple and standard.  Thanks for your quick and courteous response.
    You are welcome.
Since shared information is temporary yours (temporary while being shared) you should be fine. CalDav is just underlying exchange protocol. So as long as you can see that info shared -CalDav is just a delivery vehicle.
As far as permissions - yes they are going to stay. Thousands of us share for example Google calendars, cause Google integrated calendars sync in IOS mail. The question is just as simple as if your exchange supports it and if they(your IT) are going to allow your ipad/iphone connect to it.(Make sure to get their instructions if your exchange requires specific setup)

  • Is it simply not possible to sync Google Calendar event colours to iPad?

    Hey all!
I've had a search and found a previosuly asked, but as yet unanswered post, had a good blast over the internet and am now just about at my conclusion - is syncing the colours of individual events in Google Calendar to my iPad, simply not possible?
I know each of my calendars will appear as a seperate colour, but I also colour each event within my Google Calendars according to what they are. As yet, I can only get them to sync to my iPad in the colour that has been assigned to that calendar.
    I hope this makes sense!

    What "size" do you want?
WHat iPhoto shows you is not the "total disk space". It shows you the size of the folder you would get if you dragged the current version of the pics in the Event or Album to a folder on the desktop. It does not tell you the size of the originals, for instance, nor of the thumbnails and database and other ancillary files.
So, it's nowhere near the "total disk space" of these images and their support files. Have a look on the iPhoto forum. There are regular queries along the lines of "How come iPhoto tells me my Library is 21 gigs but the Finder reports it as 44 gigs?"
iPhoto can do this because when you edit an original it creates an actual modified copy and stores it on the HD. (And, you can, of course, produce entirely different results if you play with the export settings.)
Aperture can't tell you that. Why? Because
    1. There's no modified version, just entries in the db
    2. The size of the exported image depends entirely on the export presets you choose - and there are literally thousands of potential options these
    3. Dragging to the desktop only gets your Previews.
So, iPhoto isn't really telling you anything very accurate, and Aperture couldn't because of the way it works.

  • Possible to sync iphone calendar to yahoo calendar?

I am wanting to sync between yahoo and iphone calendar. I don't have 3g phone, still stuck with old one (purchased November 2007). I have synced all contacts but would like to work between both calendars. any suggestions?

I agree. I mean, if it syncs to Yahoo contacts, it should sync to Yahoo Calendar. I don't even use Yahoo, but I tried their Outlook syncing tool, and it seemed like a good way to keep my home Outlook (which is iPhone incompatible 2000), work Outlook, and iPhone all in sync. I was just going to sync everything via Yahoo. Then I realized iPhone only syncs with contacts, but not calendar. Bummer. In addition, iTunes/iPhone doesn't seem to recognize the Yahoo contact groups.

  • Is it possible to sync CalDAV calendars with older iPods?

I am reposting from the "Older iPods" list, on which I did not get much feedback.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/15171363#15171363
Basically, since I upgraded to the new MobileMe calendars, which use CalDAV instead of being local calendars, I can no longer view them on my iPod Mini. The .ics files that iTunes puts in the iPod's Calendars/ folder are empty.
So, is this a fixable problem on my side, or is this feature just non-existent?...
Thanks in advance for your insights

I have written the following Python 2.6 script that exports all CalDAV calendars to the iPod. I have only tested it with iCal 4.0.4 (1395.7) and an iPod mini (software version 1.4.1), on Mac OS 10.6.7.

  • Sync groupwise calendar to gmail calendar

I have followed the advice on the cool solutions to create a rule to delegate appointments to my gmail account (my wife hoped all my appointments could go to a master schedule for navigating around the kids hockey, etc.)
groupwise gives me an error though:
Item to gwdsmtp.smtp was undeliverable, subject: Fwd: computer work (GWDelegate)
It does not get delivered to my gmail account.
    Why is this?
My workplace (metrohealth medical center) uses groupwise #7

  • Suddenly unable to sync groupwise 7 calendar to 9630

    Device info

    Apps and free space
    File free   117269346
Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
Unable to sync Groupwise calendar with BB.  Normally do this with cable and Desktop Manager.  Last successful sync 03/04 - no problems.  Tech support unsuccessful in solving.  Using Groupwise 7.0;  Desktop Manager 5.0.
When I try to sync,  message says processing.Action engine loading configuration w/ a progress bar....then synchronization (One moment please) with a progress bar with no activity and then it returns to the basic synchronization screen.  I do not receive any error message.
Numerous battery pulls.  Delete and reconfigure sync (one way sync to device) multiple times.  No apps loaded in months. No changes in Groupwise set up at work.  (Colleague using BB with same groupwise system has no problems synching.)  No updates to any apps on BB in months.
Please help.  Many thanks in advance.
    Kieley

My apologies for being unclear.  This is what the log looked like before I made the recommended changes (see below).  I made the changes as instructed in Task 2 of KB01451 and saved.  I performed Task 4.  The operation ran the same way as I described in the initial email:  the synchronization process started, and then returned to the sync page without completing or giving any error message.  I then completed Task 5 (reconfigure), and changed the values back as instructed.    I tried to sync the calendar again and the process aborted again, as described above.  I pasted each of the logs following each of the tasks below.  Was I supposed to receive another type of log?  I don't understand.  The BB still does not show existing calendar appointments.
Thank you so much for your assistance.

  • Move calendar info FROM iphone TO windows calendar

Apologies if this has been answered. I've spent ages googling and searching here, but I can't seem to find an exact answer.
Although I may be the exception to the rule:
    1. I do not want all of my windows mail contacts in my iphone (2nd gen). Therefore those have been input manually.
I did take the time to set up my 2009 calendar ON MY IPHONE. My windows calendar (vista home premium) has not been used.
It is possible to moe my calendar info TO WINDOWS CALENDAR from the IPHONE? I can see syncing info, but it seems to override the phone, and on music etc...not the calendar.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If she can't, it's a pretty sad statement about interoperability of Google's products.
Take a look at the help pages at http://www.google.com/calendar.
This really doesn't have anything to do with the iPhone.

  • Syncing iphone calendar with Windows Live Mail

Hi guys - I just upraded to Windows 7 and I'm looking to see if it's possible to sync the calendar with the Windows Live Mail calendar? I'm thinking the only option at this time is MS Outlook, but just thought I'd ask. I searched and read through 3 other similar questions on here but didn't find any answer, hence the new post. Thanks!

Microsoft copied Google and now supports accessing a Hotmail or Windows Live Mail account as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app. This provides Push access for received messages and for syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with the account on your iPhone.
For syncing calendar events direct with an application on your computer via the iTunes sync process, you need Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010.
I understand your second statement about the needing Outlook - but I'm trying to reconcile it with your first paragraph - there is support for calendar events over the air between Windows Live and iPhone? So it can be done, just not physically through syncing via iTunes?

  • Is iTunes 8.1.1 actually better at synching calendar info?

I didn't have any problems with synchronization in iTunes 8.1. However, in 8.1.1, I find that sometimes after a sync, updated calendar info is NOT transferred to my iPhone, and I'll have to sync again -- which works.
Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a fix?

I'm still convinced that this is a bug in iTunes 8.1.1. I did a complete restore on my iPhone, and I'm still seeing the problem. Yesterday, I added an ActiveSync profile which unbeknownst to me set up address book and calendar syncing -- when I disabled the address book and calendar syncing, my address book and calendars were of course deleted. When I launched iTunes and pressed "sync," my contacts and calendars were not copied. I had to press "sync" again.
