Possible to upload only Edited images to existing web gallery

I have a couple of large galleries and after I upload the whole thing I see a couple of edits I need to make.
How can I upload only selected images with the Web Gallery (I still want my index page to have ALL of the ones in the collection, i just want the updated ones to be reuploaded).
Rob.

Thanks for the reply, although I don't like the answer!
I have a Zenfolio account and an open source Gallery, maybe I will continue using those (using Export Plugins) although I like the Flash galleries (third party) for LightRoom.
Thanks,
Rob.

  • [web] is it possible to manipulate the file names of images from a web gallery?

    Hi,
I am new here so please forgive my dumb questions....
I would like the resulting images in my web gallery to have sequential filenames (ie 1.jpg, 2.jpg etc)
Is this possible and could you give me some clues how I might approach this?
    Thanks!
    Steve

You can't rename the actual files from Web as they export. There's nothing in the SDK on it either.
Lightroom does change the naming to make it websage. For example, spaces are turned into underscores.
If you need sequential files, I'd suggest getting the files in order, then exporting the files as highest quality Jpeg with a sequential naming system.
Click the Add to Catalog checkbox, and perhaps use 'The same folder' and then use a subfolder for organistion.
Use these new images to create the web gallery.

  • How to add title/caption to each image in Bridge web gallery

    Hi,
I am creating a web gallery within Bridge and I want to add a title and caption to each image in my web gallery. How do I do that? The only thing I see is the Site Info. section and that adds a title and caption to the entire web gallery (including each image) and I want different titles and captions for each image. There must be a simple way to do this I just haven't figured it out yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks Curt Y for your help. The thing is I have to use only Bridge. I looked up this problem on http://www.experts-exchange.com/ and they said it was not possible to add titles and captions for individual images (slides) in a web gallery in Bridge. They seemed to imply that this was overlooked. So I input what I could based on what was provided by Bridge and turned it in. Thanks to all who viewed and replied to this post. I appreciate it.

  • Modifying Existing Web Gallery

How to I add or delete images from a web gallery which I have already published using the web module?

Lightroom doesn't seem to get rid of unused files on your existing site when you republish.  To take care of this problem getting out of hand I sometimes use an FTP client to erase ALL the files for the website off the server and then republish with Lightroom for a clean site.

How can I increase the number of images in a web gallery in Bridge.

  • Is it possible to incorporate old photo albums into a Web Gallery?

I created 9 photo albums with the first iteration of iWeb. Now I'm using iWeb '08 and have been consistently adding new photos to an existing Web Gallery via iPhoto. But I'd like to import or add those older albums into the Web Gallery.
    Looking for answers...

Perhaps it would be better to just direct you to what I'm talking about.
Here is a URL to the site I maintain for our family photos and movies:
    http://www.Derners.ws
Along the top you will see navigation links to Web Galleries, Photo Albums and Movies. The Web Galleries were created as a result of iWeb 2.0 and the overall inclusion of the Web Gallery feature with iLife '08.
The Photo Albums and Movies however, were created back in iWeb 1. These are still online as standalone pages. What my original question alludes to are these Photo Albums. I want to pull the content of the Photo Albums and incorporate it into my Web Galleries, thereby having all of it in one place. So when I complete this process a visitor who browses Derners.ws will go directly to the Web Galleries. No more "Photo Albums", no more "Movies". Just one stop for viewing everything.
    Does that make sense?

  • Uploading photos from browser to an existing Web Gallery

    Hi:

    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1077164&tstart=15
but I fell that not receiving the right answer because the topic doesn't describe the problem fine.
I uploaded a web gallery from iPhoto with success, but when try to add pictures using the upload feature in the Gallery itself in the browser, the process run fine but the new photo never appears in the gallery and cannot find it uploaded in to the iDisk either.
Tried updating the gallery from iPhoto but no success.
Hope someone can give some directions. Thanks in advance.

  • Is it possible to password protect Movies in the new Web Gallery?

I have loaded several iPhoto albums onto my new Web Gallery - and I can password protect each using a different name and password for various friends and family. This is great as they each then have their own privacy. Some I have left open to view by everyone. BUT, I would like to password protect some movies from iMOvie '08. Can this be done for the movies as per the photo albums - and how? If yes - can it also be done for movies already published or will they have to be re-published?
    thanks
    Alan

The best I can figure out is that if you post your movie, but do not select the option to "Show project on Web Gallery home page," the video will not show on your home page for random visitors, but you can send the direct link to your video to whomever you want by copying it from the confirmation page after the video uploads. Not perfect, but the only option I see right now.

  • Any way to keep original file name as image name for web gallery?

    Hi,
I wonder if there is any way to keep the original file name as image name for a web gallery (instead of "picture-1.jpg)
People often send us the thumbnails or the image from the web and we have to search forever to find the image in AP - if we could keep our original filename then this would be a second away.
    Hope somebody has an idea
    thanks

    Hi William,
I finally had time to play - unfortunately it does
not work the way you described above.
I´m just exporting a set of images using the "Stock
Black" Theme - marked name only - batched the
filename to masterfile - but the actual picture names
    are still "picture-1.jpg" - "picture-2.jpg".
    did I miss anything? thanks
I see what you want, you don't care about the screen name so much but want the generated file names to be the same as the version names. From earlier messages though I am not quite sure why this is a problem, since you said other people were picking the images they wanted - say Image1 and 23 and 8. That to me says those people are going through the directory using Finder or Explorer, not using the HTML.
Is it the case you are giving people web galleries on CD? If so, then perhaps also export a "browse" directory with exported images using the version names, so that people can use the right name.
Or perhaps it's the case that people are downloading the images from the web, and then using the downloaded file names to send you requests. I'm not sure how to fix this yet and do not know if 1.1 offers something for this.

  • Help- how do I make images ready for web gallery??

    Hi,
I am trying to create a photo gallery of images within Bridge using the Adobe Web Gallery feature. I have the images I want to use in a folder. What steps do I need to take to get the images saved in the correct format and file size? Also, what files sizes do you recommend for a web gallery? I need to make medium to large thumbnails & large images (when clicked). Here's what I am thinking I need in terms of getting this right:
use Adobe Photoshop/Bridge to create the gallery
    jpg for photos
    gif for solid colors
file size under 2MB (full image), under 20-30K for (thumbnails), total size of all images under 50K (no more than 50 sec. to download)
    screen size: 984x728
    screen resolution: 72dpi
If you could help me in any way, shape or form concerning making my images ready for a web gallery that would be most helpful. And if you can refer me to any resources on making a web gallery that'd be awesome. Thank you!

  • Add Captions to each Image in a Web Gallery.

Adding captions to each individual image in a gallery is one of the most common things people do with web  galleries, not to have this capability is very odd.  What gives?

thanks i realize that there are free & great products out there that will work i'm just irritated that i pay 2 grand for an adobe cs bundle and they don't supply us with something as standard as a simple way to put captions in a flash web gallery.

  • Missing Images when Automating Web Gallery in CS3

    HI
I'm new so please be kind! I am trying to automate a web gallery in Photoshop CS3 but every time I run it it misses one image. I have renamed the image to no avail. Its a jpeg like all the others - nothing at all outstanding about it. I have purged the folder cache through Bridge. No difference. I have tried to do it through CS3 and through Bridge, no difference. I have even turned the computer off and on again!Of course the one its skipping is one I really want in the gallery!
    I am running a Mac OS X 10.5.5 on a 2Ghz Destop
    Thanks

You're a genius! I left both the jpeg and the psd in the same folder - it skipped the jpeg again but found the psd file.
    Thanks so much

  • IPhoto v7.1 - Maximum number of images export to Web Gallery

  • Image processor and web gallery untagging sRGB profiles

When I image process a batch of files (mixture of raws and psds) the resulting files have an untagged RGB colour space even though the 'convert to sRGB' is ticked in the processor dialogue. This also happens to my images when I create a web gallery, even when I start the script using sRGB profiled jpegs in the first place. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Thanks, Matt

I am slightly confused by what you said...
without exporting the photos separate first.
Do you mean change to sRGB while still in Aperture? The answer would be no. The images get changed to sRGB on export. However, you do not have to export the images separately from the gallery. When you create the gallery, the images and html get created all together. So, what you do is change the export presets you are using for the web to have sRGB in the color space profile.
