Possible to write a novel in Pages??

I have completed a novel using Word, and am starting out on book number 2 and considering Pages, but reluctant to sever the umbilical cord with Word.
If anyone has used Pages for typing a manuscript, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and comments.

Here's my experience with Pages. I bought it the day it was released (last January), installed it, fired it up, created a manuscript template in about 15 minutes (without reading the manual), and started writing my manuscript.
What I'm trying to say is that I've found Pages to be perfect for my needs -- so far.
What I'd do, if I were you, is to spend a few minutes building a manuscript template (or download Best-Selling Book at http://www.iworkcommunity.com). Next, copy some text into it from one of your manuscripts, then format it using your new styles. Finally, export it into Word format, then open it in Word to see how it looks.
Pages has no annotation feature, so when it comes time to get feedback from an editor, have him/her write the notes in a different color.
There have been dozens of threads in this forum about how well Pages exports to Word. The concensus is that it exports text very faithfully, but may have some trouble with graphics. Since my manuscript is 100% text, that's never been an issue with me.

I tried to figure this out myself and couldn't believe there wasn't a simple menu item to get this done. Seems there was in pre-Mavericks but not in Mavericks. Found several answers but they all reply to before Mavercks.

Possible to write a function that takes any type as parameter ?

I need to write a function that will take 2 parameters ( of any type - VARCHAR etc ) and return a boolean.
( Im trying to write a function that will do NULL processing.
something like..
if ( P1=P2 OR ( P1 IS NULL AND P2 IS NULL ) ) then
return true ;
end if;
return false ;
the function simply compares its parameters P1 & P2 and returns true if they are equal - including if both are NULL
Is this possible to write at all.
My code looks very ugly without this being wrapped in a function.

You may be able to use SYS.AnyData for this. However, dealing with the data would be confusing, so overloading the FUNCTION would most likely be a better idea.

IMO, Do not do this. Hiding logic in a FUNCTION it for cosmetic purposes is a bad idea.

It's a bug striking in long documents.
Select a word somewhere higher in the page then use the arrows to reach the wanted insertion point.

But I'm not aware of every piece of code offered by third-party developers.
Maybe some one built such a tool.
After all, it would not be a huge task as the application is AppleScritable.

I call a servlet from a second window(thirdWin) that was created/opened by the first window(window) in HTML. The servlet writes out HTML to the browser using the following code(note HTML$ is a java class that contains methods of HTML code lines):

The problem is that the servlet writes/ outputs the HTML code to the third window(thirdWin). I want to call the servlet from the third window and write/output the new HTML to the first window. There must be a way of accomplishing this. One, by setting the browser window directory to the original window(first window) before the servlet is called so that the new HTML gets written to that page, or two, by setting the brower window to the proper window in the servlet before writing the HTML out to the window.
The following is the code in the servlet that opens the thirdWin. It is a javascript function whose body is a Servlet that has been written it out to the browser page. Do not get confused with me calling it the thirdWin it is acually a second window opened by the opener, I have just called it thirdWin.

If you mean you wish the iPad engraved, Apple will not do engraving after purchase. You will have to take the iPad to an engraving shop. Having it engraved may reduce the resale value, and since most people keep their iPad in a case or skin you may never see the engraving, and should the iPad ever need servicing by Apple it will probably just be replaced which would of course lose the engraving, so you should really think about whether you really want your iPad engraved.

We're using SharePoint 2013 and I'm trying to modify the search results page for one site collection. By default, it uses the search results page from the parent site which is the search center being used by default for the web application. I need to make
sure that the site collection will only retrieve search results within the site collection (search everything has to be disabled). I found a way but I had to create another search center site to accomplish this, otherwise, it will affect the search center
site of all other site collections on the web app.
Now is it possible to have multiple search results page using one Search Enterprise Center site?

According to your description, you want to retrieve the search results within the site collection.
As a workaround, you can create a custom result source for the site collection and you will retrieve the search result within the site collection.

Can you give the link to the specific article and the version of JDeveloper you are using to help you further?
One thing to keep in mind is that the accessors must be public - using package access (no modifier) is not going to work.
