Possible ways to end speaker feedback, echo

After I got my iPhone 5 (white, 64 GB, iOS 6) several weeks ago, I was surprised when others said my voice sounded muffly and they were experiencing feedback and echo. When I put them on my speaker, their voices sounded tinny and harsh. Turning down the volume helped, but didn't eliminate the problem.
After some research, I changed several things on my iPhone 5. All is working perfectly now. No feedback. No echo. Incoming speaker voices are normal and clear.
FIRST: in Settings > Music > Volume Limit > on > adjust to about 3/4 of max.
SECOND: I took off my TPU case and put on a shell. Reason: Research brought out the concept of feedback caused by cupping the hand over the speaker/mic area so sound would transfer from one to the other. Most cases surround the lower speaker/mic area with up to about 1/8 inch-deep of case material. This, I thought, might do the same as the cupped-hand phenomena, especially since the speaker and mic are considerably larger - and closer together - than on earlier iPhones.
THIRD: I make sure the volume is set so the speaker voice sounds normal for incoming calls. Before, it was tinny, scratchy and harsh - hard to listen to. Seems to be working.

On one hand, it is time-consuming to fix a script and even more annoying to find out that it broke down for some stupid reason.
but on the other hand we'd have to consider how much we'd gain from that. I am not sure whether it is worth it, since i am not a package maintainer, but i bet someone like Jan de Groot who is maintaining almost a thousand packages might find that handy.
The point with the mailing lists and freshmeat and sourceforge and stuff is that unfortunately it just sucks to assemble all this information along with all the crap you don't actually like to have. there are some projects which have a low-traffic, release only mailing list, but unfortunately not all of them do

These are user forums. You are not speaking to Apple here. You cannot get MS products for free. You can purchase the student version of Office for OS X from MS. You can download a 30 day free trial that you can fully activate by purchasing a license key for $139.00.
You can download a free copy of Libre Office which is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows but runs on Macs. I don't know how compatible the presentation module is to Powerpoint.

Bluetooth/Car Kit Feedback & Echo

My boss has told me that he has a problem with his phone. it's a Nokia 6120C. He is getting a feedback/echo when he is in the car. He has Bluetooth and also a car kit. He seems to think that they are both working at the same time, hence he gets an echo.
Apologies for not knowing or understanding fully what is going on here.
i would think that you could just turn one off and use the other?? is that possible?
Any thoughts, solutions are welcomed.

wat kind of car kit is ur boss using?
u might want to consider updating the software on his phone. this can be done using the nokia software updater available in the download sections of this website. be sure to back up all his data before u do it as a software update can cause a loss in data.
if the software update doesnt work, i'd suggest u take the phone to a nokia care point to see if they can help u out there

Is it possible for the end user to make changes to business processes?

I'm investigating Oracle's BPEL Processor Manager and BPM technologies for a large project we are going to do. The client wants to be able to change/create new business processes which would mean different web services being called in different orders after different amounts of time.
Is it possible to allow end users to change business processes in a SOA environment with a portal using Oracle's offerings. This would eliminate JDeveloper & the designer and the need for knowledge of the underlying architecture.
The only way around this would be getting users to edit the business rules but that would only work in a linear environment with lots of decisions won't it?

BPEL does have capabilities that let you change how a given process will execute. For example, it's normal to have a process that will react differently depending on an incoming message (CancelMessage processes one way, SubscribeMessage does something else, ...). You can have the partnerlink that is invoked be selected based on a variable, a rule, a message element, a property in a property file or a preference set in the BPEL console. However, these all fail to answer your original question, because they require the original designer to code it all, not giving someone the capability to add a new WSDL on the fly with JDeveloper.
You can also overlay endpoints, like if the user is in California, send to the west-coast server instead of the east coast. There is (was?) a tutorial about overlaying WSDLs.

SB ZXR Mic Feedback/echoing issues!!

Here is my setup.
Reciever: Onkyo HT-R330
5.1 Speakers
I am using the nice looking mic that came with the SB ZXR card and i am using DTS Encoding for my speaker setup.
Everything sounds great but my mic!!!!! i cant for the life of me get rid of the **** feedback and echoing when i test it in SB Control panel
I have tried to go into properties and lower the Mic Boost level. But this cuts my voice off in the middle of me speaking and the echoing is still there.
yes i have tried turning on Accustic echo cancellation and noise cancellation.
Ive got the mic plugged into the Mic in Jack on my Sound Card.
HELP!!!!

okay it seems to only happen when i test the mic with my speakers on.
But i tried doing a skype test call and everything sounds fine.
Dont know why i get such horrific feedback/echoing when testing it?
im guessing its because my speakers are repeating what im saying into the mic a second time perhaps?

could this be a possible way to prevent basic questions being asked repeatedly (and to encourage search before post) (may be atleast for newcomers to the forum, to minimize one-liner questions).
when a user tries to post the question, as the user types or in the preview screen or before he clicks on the submit button, the SCN should show the similar questions/threads (or atleast threads with exactly the same text) asked/discussed before.
then the forum user might click on the links, instead of posting a new one, as the answer could be readily available in existing threads.
this functionality i have seen in yahoo answers.
if you go to answers.yahoo.com and ask a very simple question like
"what is difference between sql and mysql"
then yahoo provides a popup "Wait, we might already have the answer you are looking for:" and it also shows the possible similar questions like:

I also think it is a cool idea, but unfortunately the "no brainers" are a small group in my experience and will not be detered by this.
We are using a new secret weapon in the past weeks against repeat offenders. Please use the Abuse Report button to report such basic questions when the person is "hard of hearing".
As a side note, also consider that some people are not fluent in English. Or even have no English language skills and use enterpreters. That is of course no reason to be a pain and break the rules (cross-posting, etc) but it does explain isolated misunderstandings.
I once called a repeat offender on the phone because he posted his telephone number in the forums. He could hardly speak any English at all, let alone write it...

My iPad2 was locked and disabled because my kids entered several times the passcode and now it is locked. I tried every possible ways and read all related items and followed precisely articel http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 but after i restored and update teh iPad, itunes keeps giveing me the same message:
The iPad "iPad" cannot be restored at this time because the iPad software update server could not becontacted or is temporarily unavailable.
I tired at different time of teh day and noght and different days yet kept getting the same message.
Pls assist me as now the iPad is useless

If reset doesn't work, try and force the iPad into Recovery Mode.
Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

Okay I have an apple IPod touch 4g 8gb and it will not turn on or charge or even show that the ipod needs to be charged so I am wondering if my IPod needs to be sent in to be fixed or if I should get a new one or if there is a possible way to recover it??

This is the first time it shut off and would not charge what so ever. The battery was charging and then it went blank and now it has been blank for awhile is there any possible way that the ipod itself can be turned on or even show up the needs to charge screen I do believe that the battery has gone bad and would like to know if this would cost to be replaced sense its not within the one year warenty????

you just have to close completely you Ipod (push 5-10 seconds on the button to open/close you ipod and slide the turn off) after open the ipod and it suppose to be correct I hope I answer to your question!

So, I bit the bullet. I've always wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 5 from my existing iPhone 3Gs, before I do so, I sort of got the iPod Touch 5G first.
Now to the main question,
"Is there any virtually possible way to connect my iPod Touch 5G 6.1.2 to my iTunes 10.6.3 running on my MacBook with OSX 10.5.8?!?"
I'm still lucky that my iPhone 3Gs still can run on 5.1.1 and sync nicely with my current mac, but I need a new phone. I already have a desktop workstation and I still do have all my data/etc on my laptop.
Or must I have to buy Snow Leopard (if it's still available) and upgrade my old Mac's OS to do so? If so, is it still worth while to purchase SL, or would it be abandoned very soon since it's also considered "old"? and getting a new laptop is quite expensive too as a solution.

This works for 4G iPod and iOS 6. However, it may not work for the 5G because of the Lightning cable. The Lightning cable has active componets and thus it may need OSX 10.6.8 or later to work.

My documents on my iCloud storage got automatically deleted, is there any possible way to recover them? They're nearly 1GB and very important to me.

On January 26th, I downloaded iCloud for Windows and logged in using my account which was the same with the one on my Mac. 2 days later, at 3:27 PM January 28th, my 1 GB of documents on my iCloud storage got deleted automatically. I'm saying this because at that time I was sleeping and both my Mac and my Windows PC are turned off, and I'm home alone, besides there was no suspicious login reported to me by Apple.

In cases where a XML stream is being read from a file, it is
fairly simple to have the parse end when the end of the file has
been detected. When parsers are used with other streams like
those from a servlet request, it is not as clear when the stream
ends - this leads to the parser waiting for more input from the
stream when there is none..
What is the recommended way of ending the parse of a document if
the ending can be detected by the DocumentHandler ? One approach

Well, unfortunately, it's kind of a mixed bag... Some of the items in there can be quite machine specific, others (say some of the network settings) can be more "generally useful".
System Image Utility makes no effort to clean up this directory which, as you noted, can cause some issues with port mappings... but allows some other things to work transparently.

Iphone 6 speaker having echoes! And camera keep freezing. Help!

Are you using a case around the phone that covers the microphones? If yes, take it off and try again. Same for protective film on the screen of the phone.
As for the camera issue, did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
