Grazie
I installed the latest update of Mountain Lion (10.8.3) and I tried to run boot camp to install my version of Windows 8 PRO x64.
The disc already had, so I unchecked the first box, then the software has downloaded and saved on a memory stick 2gb in FAT format support software APPLE and gave me the partitioning screen.
I arranged the second partition (on a 1TB drive I divided 600 x 400 for Mac + Win8, with only 100GB already occupied by Mac) and I clicked continue. Here boot camp crashed and reading the details it seems that mistake of not giving access to the hard ...
I tried again at least 5 times, but crashes in the same place, ie when accessing the disk partition that ... What do I do to fix this?
thanks
Return the disk to a single OSX partition using Boot Camp Assistant, reboot the machine before and after, remove all external devices and try again.

    Hello Everybody,
my name is Sachin and i'm using Adobe Photoshop CS5.5  for Window 7 and now i got a mac so i would like to know if there is any way to change my licence for Adobe Photshop CS5.5 from window to Mac.

Unfortunately, no.  Platform swaps are only supported for the most recent of the Suite releases, which is CS6.  Here is the policy information as documented by Adobe:

  • Can i switch Photoshop on Windows to Mac after few months without purchasing another license?

I'm considering purchasing a 1yr prepayment Adobe Photoshop license to use on my windows laptop.
I intend on changing my laptop in a few months to an Apple MacBook Pro.
Would I be able to use the same PrePayment and use this on my new MacBook without needing to purchase another Photoshop license?

Yes. That's the beauty of Creative Cloud that it is Platform independent. You can install it on any of the 2 platforms i.e. Windows and Mac, without paying anything extra.
Use PS CC on your windows machine until you want and then once you are ready with your Mac, simply install it on your Mac machine and you are good to go.
Let me know in case you have any additional questions.

  • Migration from Photoshop Elements Windows to MAC

    Hi,
I don't know if this question is answered already somewhere in this forum. I started a search without results.
Maybe I'm wrong. If so, please apologize.
I used Elements for years on my Windows box. Recently I bought an iMac and would like to know if it's possible
to migrate my albums and all the stuff from Windows to Mac using the Mac version of Elements.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

The mac version of PSE has no organizer, so no, not directly. What you can do is to create tags for all your albums and categories, and then use File>Write Tags and Properties to File(s) or John Ellis's psedbtool to write the tags as metadata keywords that many mac programs, including Bridge (which you get with PSE/mac) and iphoto can recognize, but you will need to reestablish any hierarchies.

    grazieeee

Missed the subscription part because the current subscription version of Photoshop is CC 2014.2.2.   Subscription Products can be installed on both platforms you can have an activated PC and and an activated Mac and use one at a time.   There are three  CS6 version perpetual 13.0.6 Mac version and version 13.0.1.3 for Windows Then there is  Subscription CS6 version 13.1.2.

  • Photoshop on Windows or Mac? What system is better?

Hi I'm thinking on buying new laptop mostly to create stuff in Photoshop, sometimes After Effects videos and to update my community blog [link removed by moderator]
My friend is saying that I should buy Mac Book because it will work better and faster etc. even with 8GB of RAM. Is it true? Windows Laptops with 16GB of RAM are much more cheaper than Apple... What will be better for me? Thanks in advance.

Which Platform is better may change over time.  When Photoshop first started you did not have a choice.  Thomas developed Display for the Mac and demonstrated it to Adobe and Photoshop history began.   That was back around 1990 it was Mac Only I think Adobe began to market a Windows version in 1992.  At the time both platforms were nowhere near as robust as they are today. Mac OS 7 and 9 where  poor and buggy and windows was full of bugs.   Mac were using the Power PC processor and PC lintel 8088 family.   Intel the came out with 386 that gave PC mainframe features and Windoes NT and Windows 2000 were developed  PC were becoming of age.  Steve Jobs returned to Apple and IBM would not produce a power efficient PowerPC for Steve's desired laptop  had also use Unix for his Nextstep adventure and knew its virtues. So in a single step he abandoned Apples's OS and the PowerPC. processor.  So now Apple Mac and IBM compatible PC are using the same hardware Processors.  Both platforms have a robust OS these days both are  preemptive multitasking systems.  Mac OS base design is Unix like.  Unix was developed by AT&T Lucent lab in the 1960 time-frame for the PDP 11. Design to be modular and portable where code would be easy to developed using  simple module using pipe-ing data just flows input to output.  Apple is more controlling then Microsoft IMO neither are open system but Apple seems more closed then Microsoft to me.   This has advantages and disadvantages.  Application operation constrain to work the way Apple dictates users get a more consistent environment but less software and Hardware less upgradable.  Photoshop on both platform run into problem easily seen just read through this forum.  I use windows for I had to at work and a gained a lot of knowledge about windows over the years. I'm not about to change.  I also had to use Apple OS 7 and 9 for a little while.  If you going to use computers you will have to learn quite a bit about the OS installed on it.  All computers need to be maintained and backed up.  If you only going to use one application you may be able to get a turn key system.    Find the best products for the jobs you need to do.   You may find you need more then one machine and OS.

  • -Adobe Photoshop from Windows to Mac

I have a fully paid and licensed Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Windows. It has only been used one one computer. I now use Mac. Can I download the full Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Macfrom somewhere, and use my licensed serial number?

Can I download the full Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Macfrom somewhere, and use my licensed serial number?
    What kglad said.
You'll have to upgrade to CS6 Mac to use Photoshop on your Mac.
    Or join the Cloud.
Or join the Photoshop Photography Program.

Do you mean that you accidentally purchased a Windows version and you now have a Windows serial number but you want a Mac serial number?

  • Photoshop from windows to mac

I have a photoshop licence for windows and I just bought an imac. How getting the licence for mac iOS?

With Photoshop CS5, you'll have to pay to upgrade to Photoshop CS6 for Mac.

But then you cannot use Photoshop CS6 on Windows since the serial numbers are platform specific: Windows only or Mac only.
Or join the Cloud and get Photoshop CC which you can use on Mac and/or Windows.
Lightroom 2's serial number is cross-platform. So download the Lightroom 2 Mac installer from Adobe then enter your serial number.

  • I have switched from PC to Mac how do i use my windows version  of adobe photoshop CS3 on my MAC?

i have switched from PC to Mac how do i use my windows version  of adobe photoshop CS3 on my MAC?

    rebel1568,
All Photoshop versions through CS6 came with platform-specific licenses, either Windows or PC.  You could get a cross-grade of platform swap at a nominal cost but not for older versions, only for whatever Photoshop versions was current at the time.
CS3 is totally out of the upgrade or cross-grade loop.  You'd have to buy a new license for CS6 Mac or subscribe to Photoshop CC, as Trevor points out.
Curt Y is correct in that CS2 will not run on current Mac-Intel machines.  You would need a used Mac G5 or G4 with a PowerPC (IBM) CPU, which have been obsolete since mid 2006.
Of course, you could run your Windows  on your Mac if you installed and ran BootCamp or Parallells.

  • Photoshop cs3 + windows vista + intuos 3

I am working with "photoshop cs3" "windows ultimate vista" and an "wacom intuos 3" tablet and I experience heavy lags while drawing like the brush-strokes don't quite follow my moves, and I have to wait for them to catch up.
When I open a large file and I try to apply the first brush stroke on my drawing the cursor screen disappears for a while and photoshop is not responding.
Then Photoshop comes back so the cursor and I can start to work. But as soon as I drag the page using the little Hand tool photoshop stops responding again for few more seconds and when it restarts I can hardly control the direction of my new brush strokes.
Apparently in order to restart the only remedy I found (by chance) is by toggling the layer visibility status (change a layer from visible to not and back to visible again). After this exercise I can draw in photoshop again! But of course same problems again as soon as I will use the hand tool and move on the screen again!!!
Any idea about what could be behind my problems!?
    What should I check?
(These problems started after last week immediately after re installation of vista on my machine, I never had this problem with vista photoshop and intuos on that same machine before!)
    Thanks
    Mario

I have CS3, Vista Ultimate and an Intuos3 tablet. No lags or delays now. But I used to have them and many were reported on the Wacom Users Forum when Vista first came out. I can't remember now what the fix was - have a look on the Wacom Users' Forum. If you had it running ok on your previous Vista installation some software setting must have changed in the new installation. Things that may help are:
get latest Nvidia vga card drivers (if you have an Nvidia card); get the latest Wacom driver; Logitech Setpoint software conflicting - the latest is ok for me; disable/switch off the Vista Pen and Input device.
Sorry, I can't remember the fixes but they should be available if you dig around in the Wacom Users' Forum.

  • I received a psd file created in CS6 for MAC, I am unable to find the layers when I open it in photoshop in Windows. What can i do to edit the files?

I received a psd file created in CS6 for MAC, I am unable to find the layers when I open it in photoshop in Windows. What can i do to edit the files? What can be done so that I can either open and see the layers or how can the sender save it in a way that it doesn't "merge" the layers in some way to just one?

Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.
