Post 4.0.0.7791 builds and TextArea
What's happened to TextArea in the build since the name change? I've been looking through the changes and seem to miss what I need to change to get RichText rendering again.
Using build from trunk. This has been te same for a while now. Soon as I go back to a build around i13 all is well again
The whole <s:content text is just rendered with it's tags and all. all just plain text.
I know I must ber missing something that's looking me in the face

has anyone had trouble with getting embeded fonts to work with SimpleText and RichText with the last couple of builds?
Was working fine for me with i13 bu since the name change (not saying that the name change was the problem) I just can't seem to get SimpleText to work style wise at all.

HD edited footage in FCP 5.1 to DVDSP 4 to "build and format" to where now?

97 minute movie shot with Sony's HDV-FX1, edited in FCP 5.1, exported to QuickTime movie, full quality, current settings. Imported into DVDSP 4.1, parsed, no problem, authored with HD settings, and built project. DSP produced a proper HDDVD_TS folder. With Apple DVD Player 4.6.5 on my duel 1.8 G5, this plays just fine.
With Toast 8 and a NU Technology Blu-ray burner (Matshita BD-MLT SW 5528), DVD-ROM (UDF), new disc, named and imported the HD file. Clicked record, selected 1x DB write speed to be on the safe side, used both a Panasonic BD-RW and a TDK BD-RW single layer disc and burned successfully. Neither disc now, to my ultimate frustration, will play in our Samsung Blu-ray DVD player or play with Apple's DVD Player. Both report a message about not supporting the media type, although the disc does mount on my G5 via the Blu-ray drive.
Thoughts on where to go from here? Our movie plays fine downconverted to 480i, but we would love to see it play in High def at 1080i.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

That is the answer to why I am unable to use the "build and format" option in DSP? Seems crazy that the option is there, but the function isn't.
Did the Toast product manager give any hint as to when this option may be available? I knew were we sailing into unchartered waters, but we had hoped that by the time we were done with post that the path had already been navigated

Report builder and the AS

When we run reports in the report builder, does it always use the application server? I have seen some posts where people have said yes and some that have said no, that the report builder is automatically setup to act as the AS. Does anyone have a definite answer and how can a developer tell? Reason is that apparently some of our older reports are attempting to retreive parameter values from the AS and I'm told that these values are null when running the reports in the builder when testing.

After I shutdown db under sqlplus and startup it, I got error message:
ora-00356: inconsistent lengths in change description
ora-00353: log corruption near block 6166 change
ora-00312: online log 3 thread 1: d:\oracle\oradata\oracledb\redO03.log
After I tried to rman the db, got
ora-01033.
I am new to oracle, but guess the root cause of those error is either ora-01219 or ora-01033.

Problem with Vision Builder and LabView: Error -1074395995, File not found

I have created an inspection with Vision Builder AI 2009 SP1. In it I load some pictures from the HDD and run some checks over it. It works fine. Then I have migrated it to LabView 2010, I get a message that the migration is successfull, but when I run the VI on LabView I get a fail status. I have been checking my program and I have found and error when I try to load the picture from file: Error -1074395995 occurred at IMAQ ReadImageAndVisionInfo
Possible reason(s): IMAQ Vision: File not found.
But I am not sure which file it refers to. At first I thought it was the picture I wanted to load, but I have checked the path and it is correct, so maybe it refers to another thing. What puzzles me most is that it works perfectly on Vision Builder and I have changed nothing in LabView, maybe it is a problem with the migration. Any clues?

Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Put a break point here and see what the path is and compare that with what Vision Builder AI is using (described where to find this in the previous post). You could find where this global is used to make debugging easier.

Phonegap 'Build and Emulate' never works, tons of errors

DReamweaver and Phonegap no longer work for me either and I do have Phonegap 1.2.0

I'm not able to 'Build and Emulate' or 'Build' in Dreamweaver CS5.5 either. When I upgraded to ios5, it never worked again. Phonegap and Adobe are all about the dreamweaver integration and it doesn't work! Here is the Build Log Fail that I've been getting for 2 months:

We Posted This Six (6) Days Ago and Still No Solution That Works!

I posted the following 6 days ago and now I see that many others have the same problem.
I have read and tried most all solutions posted WITHOUT success. I have used Reader for many years
without a single problem until now. I read somewhere on this forum that Microsoft bought Adobe a while
back...if this is true...I have my answer. If this is true that Microsoft bought Adobe a while back...we will
probably get a solution when one is available from Microsoft...but we will probably have to pay for it.
I am not trying to be nasty...only realistic.
Here is my problem:
I am trying to install Adobe Reader 9.2 update.
When I try the install I get the following error:
"Update Failed...cannot install the update. Please run Adobe Reader Repair".
I then run the Adobe Reader Repair and get the following ERROR.
"Error 1402 Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OpitionalCompo; nents\MSFS.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel"
I am logged in as the administrator on my computer.
I have searched the Internet for instructions but none has helped me correct my above problem.

Flash Builder and Flex4 SDK 9731+ issue

Hello everyone. I've been working with Flash Builder Beta and latest Flex4 SDK nightly builds for some time now and did not have any major obsticles.
That was until I downloaded 9731 build. Flash Builder compiled my project without any problem, however, when I tried to launch the application in my browser I've got these errors:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class IVisualElement could not be found.
(after I click continue)
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable CrossFade_CrossFadeShaderClass is not defined.
(after that)
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable Wipe_WipeShaderClass is not defined.
(and after that)
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable _cfdd017153b35cc39170086d5b82e02ae917ac7c68abee5c5b64ce1a052a4aac_flash_display_Sprite is not defined.
Of course when I click "Continue" nothing shows up on the screen.
The only similar issue I've managed to find is related with Flexmojos (http://code.google.com/p/flex-mojos/issues/detail?id=163) which, I think, has nothing to do neither with Flex4 SDK nor Flash Builder in this case.
Maybe anyone has ideas about this? Does this have something to do with Flash Builder incompatibility with nightly SDK builds? Or maybe the new SDK
has not been built correctly?
By the way, I've decided to stick with 9674 built and wait for more nightly builds when I first encautered this problem. Today I've downloaded 10008 built of
Flex4 SDK and the problem is still there.

I have .10339 now working with no new issues. If this helps I started a discussion (below) in which I was getting an error, the error given seemed unrelated to the fix but... essentially when recreating the project, which seems to be a common event when updating the SDK, I have to re-attach the modules to the project.

I am moving from Bridge CS5 to CS6 and have a very large number of 100% Previews in my CS5 cache. The idea of regenerating all these 100% Previews in CS6 is NOT amusing. It is amazing that there is not a simple import function for this task as a way to make the software upgrade more "seamless"… but apparently there is not.
I have read the Adobe documents:
    "Bridge Help / Manage the cache | Adobe Bridge CS4, CS5"
    "Creative Suite / Work with the Adobe Bridge cache"
Based on these documents, in Bridge CS5 I used the export function in
Tools>Cache>Build and Export Cache…
    with "Build 100% Previews" checked
    and "Export Cache To Folders" checked.
Unfortunately, the "Build and Export Cache" fails to export 100% Previews to the target directory. They should appear in the target directory as hidden files in the format xxxxx.NEF.JPG. Yes, I do know how to view hidden files in both the Finder and in Bridge.
In Bridge CS5 I tried Purging and rebuilding the Cache for the target directory with no luck.
I tried running "Build and Export Cache" in Bridge CS6…. still no hidden Preview files in the target directory.
My settings in both CS5 & CS6 Bridge - Preferences:
    "Keep 100% Previews in Cache" is checked
    "Automatically Export Cache to Folders When Possible" is checked
My settings in both CS5 & CS6 Bridge - Options for thumbnail quality and preview generation:
    "Generate 100% Previews" is checked
Using OS X 10.6.8
Anyone have a suggestion?????

Bridge is the only piece of software I have used, which incorporates a database, where new versions do not provide for importing the objects of the older version. Very strange.
That is a very mildly conclusion but unfortunately until the cache strategy for Bridge is finally sorted out this problem will exist.
Now I have to confess that I can't use the 'Auto export cache when possible' for several versions now due to a rare problem that after the first time usage without problem created export cache almost every second time generates a warning message that due to failure it needs to replace the Cache T file, hence I deselected this option permanently.
I would think that if you have those already cached and exported files for 100 % preview in the dedicated folders it would read those files and add it to the database and central cache file when having pointed Bridge to that folder, but I'm far from sure about that.
Also after rereading your first post you state to expect the build and export cache to build also hidden files with the two extensions from original filetype followed by .jpg from cache in the folder itself (target directory)? Here I'm a bit lost. The mentioned double extension files only appear in the central cache folder and are visible but buried in the subfolders for each quality in the central cache file at user library (default) or custom set location in Bridge prefs.
The exported cache to folder are hidden files and as long as I can remember that where 2 files already in the File browser (forgot the extension they used for this) and currently .BridgeCache (very small, few KB) and the for me problematic .BridgeCacheT file that can grow very large and has about the same size as the subfolder generated under full in the central cache.
I can see the content of the central cache without problem including the double extensions and previews of the files as thumbs in the Finder, jet with option to show hidden files I can see the CacheT file but only as a blank document icon and I can't find an application on my system to open this file to reveal its content.
Just tried it on a folder with small sized files and having set preview quality to HQ and 100 % preview (checkerboard icon in Path Bar) and then used the option from menu tools to build and export cache to folder including 100 %. Both subfolder in Central Cache and about same sized hidden CacheT file where generated without problems and the full preview was instantly on demand using magnifier. (but all this without the option in prefs to auto export to folder)
So to me it seems (if I understand everything correctly) that either the existing exported files from CS5 do cause the problem or your setup of CS6 is not working correctly.
Are we still on the same track or am I completely lost?

Multiple List Builder and Query As A Web Service Problems

Hi All,
I quickly became aware that trying to pass multiple parameters to "Query As A Web Service" from a "List Builder" object in Xcelsius was not a simple task to acheive after reading this post here :-

I followed the advice that David Brunner suggested towards the end of the thread about creating a "BI Service" by publishing a block from a Webi Rich Client report.
I then referenced the newly created "BI Service" by using it's WDSL URL through the Xcelsius Data Manager - Query As A Web Service connection.
Everything appeared to work fine (e.g. Did my selections from the last builder and got refreshed/changed figures in my Spreadsheet Table object in the Dashboard) until I realised figures in my dashboard were not reconcilling and appeared much lower than expected.
After monitoring what was happening traffic wise with "Fiddler 2" I discovered that Xcelsius was only passing the first entry in each of the selected values for the list builder even though a range of cells (e.g Month_Year!$a$2:$a$13) was specified to be passed as an input parameter to the BI Service (confirmed through viewing the Input/Output XML being sent).
I even tried specifying the multiple values in the different suggested ways that David Brunner advised such as a semi colon delimited list (e.g. Miami;Boston;Chicago) but this didn't appear to be working either.
Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong here? Why is only the first value being passed?
I am using Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP3.

Flash Builder and Adobe AIR update framework

The code is the exact same given in the updater example i mentioned in the link above. Only difference is i am using spark framework. The appUpater.initialize() never seem to work and keeps throwing an exception. Any alternatives so suggestions ?

Windows 7 64bit Build and Capture Task Sequence keeps failing. Need to Offline Patch

Hi All,
I have been having problems running my SCCM 2007 R3 Build and Capture Task Sequence for Windows 7 64bit since MS released the October 2014 patches. (Having problems described in KB2894518, but can't get workaround to work)
So my next step is to try to apply the patches directly to the install.wim file using dism and "Offline Servicing". I'm hoping this will allow my TS to finish, and also adds the benifit of making my TS much faster to run every month. So I followed
the steps in
this post, and injected 165 updates into the install.wim file (extracted from Win7 ISO). Now, I've copied the updated WIM into my Operating System install package and updated the distribution point. But the Install Software Updates step still installs 160
updates (same as before the Offline patch injection). The only thing that seems faster is that the download of the updates is instantaneous. So it seems like the Offline patch injection just copied the patch installer files to the WIM, but did not actually
install them.
I remember reading a post by Niall C. Brady or Jason Sandys about exactly how they inject patches into a WIM, but have been unable to re-locate the post. Does anybody out there have a tried and true method for offline injection of patches into install.wim

My recommendation would be to use MDT to build your images instead:

SCEP Build and Capture

Is it a best practice to install SCEP together with its definition updates during build and capture? If yes, will the definition updates get installed during the "Install Software Update" step?

Yes they will get updated, I normally don't include it in the image though but if you decide to do check out Chris Nackers post on how to install SCEP in a Task Sequence and update it as well, it is also great when deploying SCEP in the TS.

JavaFX 2.2 TextField and TextArea use black text-fill on select.

Two of my applications--one FXML and the other UI-coded on NetBeans7.1.1--both have a problem when user selects text in either TextArea or TextField when editing. When content word is double-clicked, the selection background becomes dark blue (dodgerblue) but the text remains BLACK. According to JavaFX-CSS reference the default for -fx-highlight-text-fill is WHITE but this doesn't seem to occur, assuming that "highlight" is the correct operation name.
I tried an explicit CSS statement: .text-medium {-fx-font: 14 serif;
-fx-highlight-text-fill: white;
-fx-highlight-fill: lightgreen;
} even trying to change the selection background. This also had no effect on selected text color or background.
Interestingly, other "selection" operations for a TableView or ListView cell work as specified.
I don't know the JavaFX build version. It came imbedded in jdk1.7.0_03 and was updated with "javafx-windows-i586__Vlatest.exe" download on May 2, 2012.
Please let me know if this is abnormal and, if so, how it can be fixed.

The applications and testing is now running on up-to-date platforms: jdk 7.2.0_u4, javafx-2_2_0-beta-b10, NetBeans 7.2 Beta, and JavaFxSceneBuilder 1.0 (which is now somewhat integrated into NB7.2).
The basic problem--highlighted text-fill color for both TextField and TextArea remains BLACK when double-clicked or selected draging cursor. This should be WHITE by default and the black text is almost invisible.
Another discovery is that the legendary CTL-Z does not work within TextArea or TextField. All of the other edit keys seem to be fine. My applications have a lot of edit functions so not having an "undo" function is disappointing. Maybe there is some API disclaimer as to CTL-Z being unsupported. Anyone know about this?
