  • F-29 Customer down payment, error, system ask for vendor account

    Hello,
When I enter customer down payment through F-29 I receive message F5243 'Account type K is not defined for document type DZ'.
If I use other document type, I receive the same message. I DO NOT NEED ACCOUNT TYPE 'VENDOR' HERE. (When I choose with F4 I receive search for CUSTOMER, and special GL also for CUSTOMER.)
If I change that (and allow acct type 'K'), system issue message F5104 'Vendor not created in CoCode'.
If, for example I have the same number for vendor and customer (SAME NUMBER, NOT THE SAME COMPANY), system allows me to go further, but takes information for 'Vendor down payment' (made in Customizing).
I would like to point that there is no link in master date between customer and vendor account.
My only clue is that something is wrong with this transaction (there is no SAP note for this exact problem, and all other posts on the same subject here on SDN are not resolved)
Maybe someone has idea about connection of this tcode with logistic...
    PLEASE HELP

    Hi Amina,
For that u check weather u assign vendor special gl account to customer reconcile account in OBXR.
Select special gl type  D in OBXR and give the reconcilation account of customer and special gl account

  • Clearing customer down payment without VAT code

    Dear Freinds
For normal cleared items ( between invoices and incoming payments) the VAT code doen't appear.
But while clearing a Customer Down payment request, when we are using a sp. GL Indicator it is asking for tax code
I want to clear customer down payment without tax code.According to the local legal requirement in the VAT report should not appear  any clearing with tax code even if Tax code has no tax.
Can anybody help me?? I tried changing the tax category of Sp. Gl Recon account to blank but then it doesn't allow to post a down payment request with tax applicable.
    Rgds
    Sudip

    Hi Ravindra
If we remove the tax category, then the problem is when we create a down payment request and do billing where tax rate is applicable, Entry will not happen in Accounting.
Only thing which I need is that at time of clearing the down payment request, putting tax code should not be mandatory.Just like when I am clearing a normal invoice (Inv. and incoming payment) no tax code is required.

  • Customer Down Payment

    Dear Gurus,
Have a question on Customer Down Payment.
We first create a request, next when the Down Payment is received then we clear the request against the payment received.  When the invoice is raised can we do automatic clearing of the Down Payment with the Invoice?
If yes, what would be the process... do we have to clear the Down Payment first manually and then we do automatic clearing?
Do let me know this, thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Raj

    Raj,
Here is how it goes :
    1. Down Payment Request ( F-37 - Need to post it to Alternative Reconciliation Account YYYYY - not part of the double-entry bookkeeping)
    2. Down Payment ( F-29)
    3.Invoice (FB70 )
    4. Down Payment Clearing -( F-39)
    5.Payment and Clearing

  • Customer Down Payment Configuration

    Hi All,
Can any one guide me how to configure customer down payment.
I have to raise the invoice for down payment to customer for specfic %age out of total order value. Please guide at earliest. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Mahendra

    Dear Mahendra
The following Customizing settings have to be made for down payment processing:
Settings for the billing plan - To activate the billing plan function, maintain the materials, for which you wish to process down payments, with item category group 0005 (milestone billing). This gives the item type TAO via item type determination. The item type TAO calls up the billing plan function.
You need to implement the following activities in the billing plan for down payments:
Maintain deadline category - This determines the billing rule (percentage or value down payment) for the down payment request. The system assigns billing type FAZ (payment request) defined in the standard system with billing category P. (For the billing type FAZ there is the cancellation billing document type FAS in the standard system).
Maintain the deadline proposal - Use the down payments that are due for the proposed deadlines.
Maintaining a Pricing Procedure with the Condition Type AZWR:
In the standard system the condition type AZWR is delivered for the down payment value already provided but which has not yet been calculated. You must include this condition type in the relevant pricing procedure before output tax.
Enter condition 2 (item with pricing) and the calculation formula 48 (down payment clearing value must not be bigger than the item value) for the condition type AZWR.
Before the condition AZWR you can create a subtotal with the base value calculation formula 2 (net value). If the condition AZWR is changed manually, you can get information on the original system proposal from the subtotal.
Maintain the printing indicator - The pricing procedure can not be marked as a transaction-specific pricing procedure (field Spec.proc.) The condition type AZWR has the calculation type B (fixed amount) and the condition category E (down payment request / clearing).
Maintaining the Billing Document - In the standard system there is the billing type FAZ (down payment request) and the billing type FAS for canceling . The down payment is controlled using the billing category P of the billing type. A billing type becomes a down payment request when the billing category P is assigned. You have to maintain blocking reason 02 (complete confirmation missing) for the billing documents and assign it to billing type FAZ.
Copying control - Copying requirement 20 must be entered in copying control at item level for the down payment request. In the standard system the order type TA for copying control is set up according to the billing type FAZ for the item category TAO.
Copying requirement 23 must be entered in copying control at item level for down payment clearing. In the standard system the order type TA for copying control is set up according to the billing type F2 for the item category TAO.
Financial Accounting settings - A prerequisite for down payment processing is that the account is assigned to the underlying sales document. To do this, change the field status settings in Customizing as follows:
Set reconciliation accounts (transaction OBXR) - For the `received down payments' and `down payment requests' from
the G/L accounts you have selected, you should assign the field status definition G031.
Maintain accounting configuration (transaction OBXB) - For the down payments (posting key ANZ in the standard system) and the output tax clearing (posting key MVA in the standard system), you must maintain the posting key.
You must also carry out a G/L account number assignment for the tax account.
Maintain the posting key (transaction OB41) - For posting key 19, set the sales order as an optional field !!!
Maintain the field status definition (transaction OB14) - For field status variant 0001, field status group G031, set the
sales order as an optional field !!!
Assign the company code to the field status variants (transaction OBC5)
    thanks

  • Error while using Special GL indicator H for Customer Down Payment

    Dear Friends,
I have configured the Special GL Indicator H (Security Deposit) for Customer Down Payment received. I also make the necessary settings in OBXY for assignment of Special GL against the reconciliation account.
When I am doing the Customer Down Payment entry through F-29 using special GL indicator H system giing me the following error message
Special G/L indicator H is not defined for down payments
    Message no. F5053
    Diagnosis
The specified special G/L indicator is not classified as "down payment" or not listed in the list of the target special G/L indicators for indicator "F".
    System Response
    The entry is not accepted.
    Procedure
Enter an allowed special G/L indicator or initiate a change of the default settings
I also check the configuration again but still systems is giving me the same above error.
Kinldy give me the solution or way of doing this ASAP because I am working in an implementation Prj.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Dear Surya,
I have made the necessary changes in Special GL Indicator F in their properties I assign target spl GL indicator H but while in spl GL indicator H when I assign target spl GL indicator F system gives me following error
    Delete target special G/L indicator
    Message no. F4137
    Diagnosis
In the SAP system, you can only use "Target special G/L indicators" with "Down payment/down payment request" when "Noted item" is also selected at the same time. These requirements are not fulfilled in the special G/L indicator "H".
    Procedure
Delete the specified target special G/L indicator.
    Effects on Customizing
You can define when this system message is to be issued in accordance with your requirements.
You do this in Customizing as follows: Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.
The application area and message number can be taken from the technical documentation.
    Thanks,

  • Clearing Customer down payment for down payment amount not equal to Customer Invoice amount

    Dear All,
Below process are posting Customer transaction directly via FI without SD cycle.
Customer down payment = 102 INR
                Customer Invoice = 103 INR
While doing Customer clearing w.r.t Invoice system has cleared the down payment document but posted an open item in Customer account with clearing document number  of value Rs 102  .
    Concern:-
                   1) How 1 INR difference will be countered , via receipt payment from customer from bank account ?
                   2) In case we have defined tolerance limit of 5% for Customer and this come to be > 1 INR ,does SAP provide clearing Customer items
automatically via any Standard Customer clearing process based on rule defined  ?
    Pls suggest
    Regards

    Hi,
the information of the exchange rates used for down payments, is
stored in table TCURR ( exchange rates)
For the request down payment the actual exchange rate of table TCURR
or the rate of document header is taken.
When this down payment request is payed, also the exchange rate of
the actual day (TCURR) is taken.
That´s why the amount in the bank posting in local currency result
from translating the foreign currency amount at the current rate,
instead of resulting from the total of the local currency amounts
    from the settled items.

    Attila

  • Customer Down Payment Process Russia

    Hi,
We are currently in the process of implementing our Russian subsidiary into SAP ECC 6.0. In this process we are struggeling to find the correct setup for a specific business process:
For a lot of our customers we are requesting prepayment. We want to handle this in SAP via the down payment process (as in Russia VAT needs to be paid on down payments). So steps are:
We create down payment request for a specific amount.
Customer does down payment + down payment is posted in SAP.
    Customer places an order.
We deliver the product and issue invoice (invoice needs link to down payment against which the invoice will be cleared).
Down payment needs to be cleared.
The part we are struggling with is that the down payment the customer does is not for a specific order. It is a lump sum amount which could cover 1 or more futur orders. So for instance down payment can be cleared partially with 1 invoice or serveral invoices can clear 1 down payment.
Question is: How can we handle this correctly in the system? How can we link the down payment to the customer invoice (there needs to be a reference of the down payment in the customer invoice)?

The customer invoice will not be in FI but will be triggered from SD. Russian requirement is that the down payment against which the invoice will be cleared needs to be printed on the invoice.
Also, this seems a lot of manual work (manually transfer the dow payment F-39, manually clear the invoice with transferred down payment F-32, at the end also manually clear the original down payment with the down payment transfers F-32).
If there are only a limited number of such customers this is feasible, but if there are a lot then it becomes cumbersum).
One way of doing it more efficient, I thought, was to manually clear the invoice directly with the down payment via F-32. You can then post the open difference for the down payment surplus again as a down payment. But again this only works manually. I think there is no way to do this automatically (clear invoice with down payment based on amount and against latest down payment + post difference to down payment reconciliation account). I tried via transaction J3RCALD, but this does not seem to work.

  • Customer Down Payment request inclusive of Tax

    Hello SAP Experts,
I have following requirement for down payment request scenario.
    Current AS-IS situation
    Sales order  (VA01) ---> Prepayment Order ( VA01) --> Down payment request / Down payment Invoice ( VF01)  --> accounting document of VF01
100 Rs.     Net                    100 Rs. Net                                   100 Rs. Net
    20 Rs.       VAT  ------>          20 Rs. VAT  --------->                     20 Rs. VAT                                                             ---> 100 Rs.
in this accounting document entry is happening as noted item with
DR. Customer Account ( net amount without Tax) 100
.so, after this step, I can see in FBL5N as 100 Rs. as open item for customer
    TO BE Scenario
my user needs that at this step, posting should be
    Dr Customer A/C  - 120
Cr. customer down payment - 100
    Cr. Tax - 20
can you please suggest and give your input in order to how can we achieve this.
    Thank you for your input.
    Regards,

    Hello Jignesh,
Just a design level suggestion for your requirement.
You are looking to have a system that calculates tax during DP invoice.
Create a new Item category which has 'Billing Plan' tab enabled at Item level. Check with Abap'er to bring a custom field (check box) saying 'Tax on down payment'. Here the posting schema needs to be defined (like which account needs to be used for tax posting and its PK and D/H indicator and use some FM for tax calculation and check for zero balancing, etc.,.)
Then whenever the check box is ticked, and the Billing is performed for the DP invoice, then enable the system to calculate tax amount based on the tax classification & tax defined for the SO using the so called code written in routine or user exit. Now, the tax calculation can be achieved.
This is purely a custom suggestion (nothing to do with standard SAP). Sorry i couldnt able to provide much of a technical solution for your requirement . But still this is achievable and i worked some years back on the same.

  • Vendor/Customer Down Payment document parking

    Hi sirs,
I want to park the Vendor down payment and customer down payment document with one user ID and afterwards I want to post the document with other user ID.  Is it possible in SAP.
What type of documents can be parked and posted in SAP through another user ID and with the same user ID.
    BSR

    Hi BSR,
Down payment document can be park but  after parking that document will automatically flow to the respective authorized person for getting approval  and posting. As parking doc follow a predefined workflow path.
In that workflow path if you have mention next approver is the same user id then u can but practically it is not correct(why a person will Park with same user id and post it with the same user id  itu2019s a wasting  of time ) but logically u can  make it possible by inserting same user id in workflow as approver.
