Post activities in Bacflush

HI PP Gurus,
In repetative manufacturing if sufficient stock is not present in the desired location system will post the GR but for the GI system posts in the postprocessing, In that case system is not allowed to do the activity posting for that perticular planned order. Hence GI can be done through COGI but in that i canot do the activity posting,
There is a seperate tab for the activity posting in MFBF screen, is there is any provision to post "Postponed" activities other than MFBF.
Thanks
ACP

Hi ACP,
To answer to your quastion, I don't think there is any transaction through which you can process both activity and components (as far as I know).
There can be 2 approach to this:
Allow -ve posting in storage location so that it will consume components on the planned order confirmation. You need to replenish these stocks before month end as 'no -ve stock' is prerequisite for month end process.
Do only activity posting in the planned order confirmation and correct goods mocement in MFBF.
Hope this help.
Thanks
Ashutosh

  • Posting Activities manually on a work center

    Dear All,
Just wanted to see if there was an innovative way to post 'Downtime' activity hours on a cost center in lieu of not having that functionality activated on the PP/Plant Maintenance side.
Basically, we would like to post an additional expense for 'Downtime' via an activity type on the controlling side. I've tried it via KB51n which posts the hours on the cost center but they are not valuated (meaning no $ value posting on the 'secondary cost element' for that activity type).
Please let me know if the question is not clear.
    Appreciate the help!

Thanks Ajay. I tried your option to capture the 'transfer' hours between departments and was successfully able to post the hours and dollars.
We will try and post hours manually using Stat Key Figures or activity types and make a journal entry for the dollar amounts.
Thanks again for your continued support on the forum!

  • PP-Backflushing not posting to correct work centers

    Hello everyone,
We are having an issue performing a backflush using an alternate production versions. We have created multiple versions for materials that point to a alternate routings and when we choose the alternate version during backflush, it shows the alternate work center(as expected), but in the background it uses the primary work center. We have set up PCC's with a preliminary cost for the alternates but during the MFBF it does not post to them. If during the MFBF I choose post with correction>actual activities>select operations to be changed>change the work center manually for each operation, then save, it will post correctly. The issue with doing this manually is that we are uaing SAP console with RF units and cannot expect our end users to know when to report on the RF unit or when to go directly into MFBF and perform these steps.
    Thoughts anyone,
    Please advise,
    Thanks
    Ray

    Dear Raymond,
I have come across the same issue,
Please follow the following steps and revet back,if it does not
    works.
Since therecan be only one valid standard cost estimate at a
time for a material, check out this.
1.Initially create master data (material master, BOM. Rate
Routing, Production Version, Product Cost Collector) and
assign REM profile say TT01.(For REM Profile TT01 ,in the
settings -indicator shud be set  for Post Acitivities-Backflush
Using Standard Cost Estimate for material)
    2.Execute costing run using CK40N.
    3.Perform production confirmation using MFBF.
4.Create alternate BOM/Rate Routing when required.
5.Create new production version with new BOM-Rate Routing
    combination.
6.Create Product Cost Collector for the new production version
    and create preliminary product costing.
7.Change REM profile of material from TT01 To TT02 where in
the TT02 REM profile the setting for Post Activities Using Data
from Preleminary Costing For Product Cost Collector.
8.Specify the production version at the time of production
booking. The material consumption and activity booking will be
done corresponding to the production version specified.
I hope this will resolve your problem.
Please reply to this thread whether it works or not.

  • Collective Confirmation and Posting of Activity Types in REM

    Hi everybody:
I'm confirming Fert items by the MF42N in REM and, i've a Repetitive Manufacturing Profile with  GI backflush at GR posting activated as well as Post Activities with Using data from prelim. costing  f. prod. cost collector but, in the product cost collector they are not updated (the activities) because the materials movements yes.
When i confirm by the MF42N but with "Post with corrections" and i mark the Activities, it's all right.
I need to do this posting of my activities in automatic way with de MF42N without "post with corrections".
    somebody can help me please?
    Thanks
    Omar Perea

    Mr Prabakaran:
Thanks for your help, I reviewed my Profile for REM, your advice was good, but, i need the next:
I need that the posting for the activities will be in automatic, just with the confirmation, that is to say, i've in my routing the times for these activities originating from my Work center, but... when i do the confirmation (MF42N) just the materials are doing the respective GI & GR, but not the activities, then i go to the MFBF and select the Confirmation for Activities for posting it and all right, so this do not is useful for me, i want not go to the MFBF nor to "post with Corrections" in the MF42N
Would you help me whit this? If you wish i can send you in a e-mail some screens of my case.
    thank you in advance

  • DB2 Post installation after EHP4 Installation

    Hi,
I have completed ehp4 installation in db2 9.1 fp7 database windows 2008 server. What are the post installation activities i should do?
I have read in the doc where they have given so many post installations.ie post activities before resuming production etc etc..
But i felt like deleting the old table spaces is important for which they have given the syntax(db2 clp command) also.but if i run that "0 rows selected".pls tell me what is the correct syntax for deleeting old table spaces.
and also pls let me know what other i need to do after ehp4 installation from your experience.
    Thanks

    Hi Sunny,
    Thanks for your reply.
Bur the link you have given,is the common for db2 to delete the table spaces. But I need for the post installation for ehp4 in db2.
for deleting the table spaces,I need to know which are the old table spaces after upgrade for which there is a syntax given in the master guide.below are given in the master guide.
    Deleting Substitution Tablespaces
After the enhancement package installation, some tablespaces are no longer used and you can delete them.
To determine the names of these empty substitution tablespaces of the source release enter the following db2 clp command:
    db2 "select tbspace from syscat.tablespaces TS where TS.tbspace like '%E%<rel>%' and not exists ( select 1 from syscat.tables where tbspace = TS.tbspace or index_tbspace = TS.tbspace or long_tbspace = TS.tbspace )"
To delete all obsolete tablespaces that are returned by the above mentioned db2 clp command, enter the following db2 clp command at the operating system level for each tablespace listed:
but if i execute no rows selected.
so pls guide me how to do.

  • Completed activities shows Completed By another user when owner of account changed.

one of our customer reported that CRM shows phone calls completed by her when she did not complete the phone call. On further investigation, it was found that the following triggered the update.
    1. User X changed the owner of Account to another user - user Y.
    2. Since there is a parental relation between Account and Activities, all the activity owners where changed into user Y.
    3. On all the active and inactive activities, the modified by was changed to user X.
But as a side effect on the Posts/Activities/notes control, all the modified activities now shows as completed by user X. - These activities were completed by some other user a long time ago.
Is there some way to change the "Completed By" to show "Modified By" instead? Attaching a picture to clarify.
    Regards,
    Jithesh

Activities Wall don't support customizations to change these label.
I think in Activities there is no field to capture Completed By. It only captures Modified By. And updates it with User which modified it last.
Hence you will not be able to retrieve who actually completed it. Usually Completed activities can't be modified that's why it shows last modified user as Completed By.

  • Is BAdI the right tool for us?

    Hello,
we are building a custom component which generates postings that are later dispatched to FI.
The component's customizing defines Posting Activities in different variants/versions that create those postings.
Every Posting-Activity-Variant is implemented by a dedicated class, all implementing a common Posting-Activity interface.
Usually I would use the BAdI-technique to register the classes for each Posting-Activity-Variant using BAdI-Filters.
However, in this case I have a certain aversion to BAdI-usage:
    100s Posting-Activity-Variants, means 100s BAdI-Implementations and Filter-Definitions
*additionally* to the customizing of all these Posting-Activity-Variants
There is customizing for every Posting-Activity-Variant, it is very tempting to add a classname-column and be done with it.
The customizing would be concise & understandable, I don't have to deep-dive into SE80/SE19 to check registered BAdI-classes and their filter-values to guess which BAdI would be called. I immediately see if the Posting-Activity-Variant is bound to an implementing class.
We use OO extensively and defined interfaces irrespective of any BAdI-usage, so we don't really benefit from the BAdI's OO-approach.
Furthermore we would actually hide the BAdI-mechanism since BAdI-references are not normal pass-around OO-references.
So from a design perspective it doesn't matter if we use BAdI or customizing, it's hidden in some Factory anyways.
We lose the static-registration and where-used functionality of BAdI-classes,
but I think that would be a price I am willing to pay to get a manageable & concise customizing.
We would work-around that with a dedicated report that lists all used classes etc.
If using an old-school classname-column in the customizing, we would build a report that checks that customizing for sanity and checks the classes for the presence of certain interfaces/constructors/etc. Things which would otherwise be statically handled by the BAdI itself of course..
So what do you think, would you really *always* use the BAdI-technique to register classes?
    Thanks for any advice.

    Hi Kai,
First: thank you Custodio de Oliveira for noticing this high-quality question.
Kai: To be honest, I think you've answered your own question already. Not that there's something wrong in checking your reasoning with the community (on the contrary: we're all likely to learn something from it).
But I can imagine this not being a forum question but a blog post describing the case and the design decision made. That would make an excellent blog post, from which (again) many people would learn something. It's the kind of content that's IMHO underrepresented on SCN at the moment.
So, instead of answering (which really isn't necessary: as Custodio already said, whatever you go with, I'm sure you'll be fine), I'd like you to rewrite this into a blog post. Let the community chime in using the comments and see what comes out of it.
For the record, I'd go with BAdi's. I don't think it's much extra work (implementing a class might be, but defining a BAdi implementation using a filter surely isn't), and you stay in the code realm, instead of breaking out of it (I always find that using class/function module columns in customizing makes it hard to understand the big application picture).
But I'm surely interested in what other developers have to say. And that's another advantage of the blog format: more people will likely notice it.
So: please give it a go! (Only if you're comfortable with it of course)
    Thanks, Fred

  • Problem while creating a system copy

    Hi guys,
I've created a copy of my original BW system with the database copy of SQL server procedure:
    1. Copy DB from "old" system and perform "post" activities (SID change, BD54 and after - BDLS -"old" logical sys. Name to "new" one..).
    2. Verify RFC to ECC source system and create new RFC in ECC source system to "new" BW system.
    3. Make BW logical system known to ECC source system (BD54).
    4. RFC names are the same as Logical system names (both BW and ECC sides).
When I try to restore the source system connection (The original one) on the "new" BW system I get the following message:
The Connection BA is used in the PRD300YPCC. Source System as a Connection BWPCLNT550 to BW.
Do You Want to Delete this Connection in the Source System? The Connection is Restored After It Has Been Deleted Successfully.
If I answer delete - than the source system is working on the new copied BW system. But the original source system on the original BW system will have the same problem I'm having with the copied systems. This means that only one system could be connected to the ECC production on the same time.
Is there a way to make it work - i.e have both BW systems connected to the same ECC system. We want to have it done so we could upgrade one system and check it against the productive system.
    Thanks alot,
    Tomer Steinberg.

    Still not solved.

    Hi SAP Stars,
I have recently Installed Quality and Production servers with PI 7.1 on windows 2003, Sqlserver 2005, when I'm doing Post Activities(http://host:port/nwa) in which I try to change the client from 001 to 300(newly created) in  JCo RFC(4 services) and start the service it is throwing error when I again change it to 001 client and start the service it is getting started, Could anyone help me in solving this issue same issue I facing in PI 7.1 Quality and Production
    Thanks In Advance
    Anil Kumar

    Hi Anil,
All these JCo RFCs are client specific RFCs.
    Please logon your PI NWA
Choose Configuration Management - Infrastructure- JCo RFC Provider
    Then, Select the RFC
Under Details -> Choose Repository Configuraton
Change the client name to 300 (your new client)
    Save
And repeat the same for all JCo RFC that you want to work for your newly created client.
Please ensure that you are using SAPJSF user & correct password for all these RFCs.
Ideally, these rfcs shuould work now if now please restart your PI  (mostly Java alone also do)
    I hope this helps you.
