Dear Experts,
Kindly let me know how can I attach an excel file in the thread, so that If I need to share some info, I can do that and get the solutions.

These forums do not support attachments. Most visitors who wish to share documents end up using a web based file storage/sharing service. There are many such sites on the internet which can be used, at no charge. You store the file on the web, and then include the URL in your post.

4k Attachments fail in compoze forum with oracle

Hi!
We are using the compoze forum application that comes with Weblogic-8.1.2 in our portal. It works fine with pointbase, but when we it with oracle as database the attachments don't work properly. One can post and read attachments that are smaller than 4k, but when posting attachments over 4k reading of the attachments fail. It seems that the BLOB for the attachment in the MessageFileTable or TopicFileTable is empty. There is no errormessage. And yes, I remembered to change
set HARMONY_PORTLETS_PROPERTIES=-Dejbruntime.database=oracle81xthin
in setDomainEnv.sh. (We are using the Oracle Thin driver oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver).
Who can help resolving this problem? Thank you very much!

Those are environment variables of the Windows user who is running brbackup; usually this is SAPService<SID>.
You have to set this variables the same way as you set ORACLE_HOME and so on.
(I am not sure about the details; never worked with MS cluster.)

Posting downloadable content on iWeb site?

I'd like to be able to post files on an iWeb created site which clients can download to inspect/approve or use. I'd also like for them to be able to upload files to me through this site. The files would be photoshop files, full-rez video, small wmv & quicktime files, text files, etc.
Are there any options for this sort of function which can be seamlessly incorporated into an iWeb site? I've been using a public .mac "Homepage" to get files to clients in the past, but it's an ugly looking page that way, and would not look like the rest of the site I want to build. Any ideas on how to do this?
A link to a mock-up of the site home page layout is below, FWIW. The pics will eventually be replaced by stills from/links to pages with video examples. I know the fonts look awful on the pages that are linked to. That's been fixed but not uploaded. This is only a rough cut...

You can set up a blog page and enable the commenting system. People can then post attachments/files to the comments. This is one way to do it.
Another way you can achieve this without involving your website is to enable read/write access to your iDisk/Public/ folder. You can do this in the System Preferences/.Mac pane. Then you would be able to access the public folder...both downloading and uploading using the following URL format...
http://idisk.mac.com/username-Public
username = your own .Mac username
And make sure that you capitalize the "P" in Public
Try it out. I think this might work out the best for you.

Unable to set EnableAttachments property to true on Posts list in Blog web.

In my dev environment I've implemented blog site (using the Blog Template) as a sub web of Team Site. Using this approach
I was able to manage and display blog post attachments. But when I'm trying to do the same things on production, the approach doesn't work (error in new/edit form's javascript: object expected). During investigation with SharePoint Manager I found out that
in my dev env EnableAttachments property in the Posts list is set to true (by default), but in the production it is set to false. The trouble is that I'm not able to change the value to true even via object model. I'm using Search Server Express edition.

Thank you for the post! But unfortunately it seems to be not helpful. The post says how to display the Attachments field in data view. I've already implemented that. My trouble is that there is no Attachments field in the list. If I open Posts list as regular
list view and select an item via checkbox, the Attach File ribbon button is grayed. Looks like the attachments functionality is not available at all in the list. I've checked the EnableAttachments property of the list and it is false. I've tried to change
it via power shell and c# but no luck:

list.Update();
The above code doesn't work. Changes are ignored.

Problem with text wraping in REPORT GENERATION vi

Hello...
i need to print a report with text wraping option around a picture.
i didnt find any vi for this in the report generation subpalette of Programming category vi's.
i thought of creating a picture (text drawn in picture with white colour background) and use it in the report.
please give me your valuable solutions. please see the vi attached. the report example is shown in FP

LV 8.6: programatically pressing button only works in some VIs, not all?

Setup is an old labview 8.6
I'm tasked with fixing some strange old engine test bench which has a ~1E-6 measurement drift.
The "easiest" work around fix would be to run the mechanics to a bottom end point then press the "reset" measurement button automatically.
!!: A "drive" vi and a "measurement" vi has to be running at the same time. The drive vi will then periodically drive the test bench to a mechanical end point and reset the measurement vi. This would get rid of the drift.
!!: Both vi's must be started manually and running. I cannot start one vi from the other. It messes things up. I know not why. There seems to be some strange dependency over compiled FPGA code somewhere.
I'm no lab view wizard. It was 20 years since I touched it last.
So digging through examples on how to press a button in one VI from another VI I found this:

Which I built into a sub-vi and a test setup to see if I could make it work on the test bench. With some tweaking it works.
A test "master" vi can press any button in a test "slave" vi.
However. It is impossible to press the "reset" button in the "measurement" vi.
Labview reports no errors, it just doesn't execute the value change event as far as I can understand.
In fact, I can copy exactly the same code from the working "slave" vi into the "measurement" vi and it stops working. !!??
How can code work perfectly well in one vi but not in another ?
The "measurement" vi has some sort of compilation requirements, meaning any change to the vi takes >30min to "compile" before it can be run. Can this have something to do with why remote button pressing doesn't work?
It also interfaces with some FPGA somewhere, can that have something to do with it ?
I have no clue. Happy for any help here.

In master.vi you can reconfigure the input to press-button to which vi and button to target. Right now it is set for the test slave vi (I think) to verify that it actually works as intended in the test environment.

How do you open/play a .wav file (music file) without play sound file .vi

I am having big problems to create a music background for my project. I am newbie using labview and maybe my questions is not so dificult to solve (I hope so)
I was using play sound file vi but the problem is that I dont want the music file start automatically. I wanna control the start time using a button. I tried include a sound output stop but when the app start and I add more wav files in my vi, the sound file start, then stop abruptally because the stop vi and the everything is normal. I would like to eliminate that error.
Someone have any idea, maybe using open file or another way.

How do I attach files in mail 6.3

Whenever I try to attach an item in mail it pops up with the box to select the attachment, but when I click the file I want and press okay the box closes but the file doesn't appear to attach. I can drag and drop pdfs but it says that there is no content and that it can't be opened, any suggestions? I have tried windows friendly as well as the post attachments at the end of the email option

Update iWeb Blog page from iPhone

I'm brand new to the whole blog thing so please be patient here. I put a test blog page on my iWeb site and was wondering if there is a way to add to that blog on the go from my iPhone? I'd like to take pics of the days events and upload them to the blog along with some text. Is this possible?

The iPhone can't make new blog posts on iWeb-generated blogs, because it doesn't run iWeb. However, if you set the blog to accept comments, you can post a comment from your on blog from your phone; that's how I do updates when I'm in the field.
iWeb has an option where you can allow attachments to be included in comments. I never tried this with my iPhone, so I don't know if that would work or not (I'm not sure how you would locate the attachment on the phone). Of course, if you select this option, ANYONE can post attachments to your blog comments, which isn't necessarily a good thing unless your site is password-protected.
Of course, this only applied before Apple screwed everything up with the MobileMe transition; currently, no blog comments are working at all, and Apple has given no estimate of when it will be fixed.

FPGA crio

Have you checked the signal level from the accelerometer with any other measurement devices to verify that the 9233 is measuring incorrectly? Is the voltage/current excitation for the accelerometer correct? I am assuming you are using the binary to nominal VI for converting the binary data to the real voltage. Make sure you are using the correct module type for the conversion.
I am attempting to use the binary to nominal VI on the values I see on your front panel, but things are not adding up. I used the 4th LSB Weight and Offset (656368 and -6548405)and the 4th 9233 unscaled Binary value (-7261) and converted it with the Binary to Nominal VI for the 9233 and got 0.00178252 for a nominal value while your VI appears to display 0.0067847. I'm not sure what you are doing different than me.
The low valued power spectrum makes sense because the analog input values are low. If we fix the analog input issue, the spectrum should take care of itself.
Without seeing your code or setup, these suggestions are obviously hypothetical. Your screenshots show the FPGA code ok, but we have no idea how you are handling data on the host side. In the future I would avoid embedding giant screen shots in your post, attachments are just fine. Embedded screen shots are more effective if they only contain a small snippet of code.

Lost HD 1366x768 resolution on Satellite R630

My R630 LCD screen had always been using HD 1366x768 resolution (16x9 aspect ratio).
But not anymore ;(
This week, after the battery went out and I had it recharged the laptod came up with 1280x800 as the top most resolution available, thus displaying black blank areas ontop and to the right of the screen.
No changes (hw+sw) have been made to the laptop for this to have happened,
I am using the updated Intel HD drivers but the option to choose the topmost HD1366x768 resolution is vanished from the menu.
I can only use 1280x800 not covering the whole screen.
Please, I can I get 1366x768 back so I can get a proper use of my Toshiba.

I thank you for your support Tony, but unfortunately after following every steps of your suggestion I came to very same situation: The LCD keeps not displaying full screen 16:9.
The only 16:9 I can/already could get is 1280x720 but with black bars on top and to the right of the screen.
I can't even center it. :((
I now I can no longer control the screen brilliance using F6 and F7 keys.
I further notice that, in spite of the Manual stating that there is 1366x768 available (as it always has been) not even in the Intel graphic configuration shows that option.
Its'a pity we cannot post attachmentes (pictures, files) here so I could show a screen capture of the problem. But this is text situation of the Graphics setup after following your recommendations,

Probelm with Printing FP image

i want to print the FP of a VI multiple times and generate a PDF document.
Before:
i have used the following options.
VI Properties >> Print Options >> Print with Execution => this creates 3 pdf documents (on printing 3 times) instead of one.
VI Properties >> Print Options >> Scale printed front panel to fit page. => this option scales the FP to fit the page.
with these options the FP image really fits on the page.
Now:
i need a single PDF document with all the 3 pages.
Problem: If i use Append image to report VI, then i cannot scale the image on the page.
by saving the image to disk and then appending it to a standard report, the Image is not really fitted with the page in the PDF.

i'm attaching an example vi which uses the method 'Print. Panel To Printer' and the created pdf. see page3.pdf. The quality of the pdf is really good.
PanelPrint.vi prints a page each time it executes. i need a single pdf (or single print job) with multiple pages.
but if i am using the report generation VIs, i am appending images to report and not getting the desired quality.
any suggestions??

Is tabbing through all the active cells of a table possible?

hi...
i need to tab through the active cells which are already not seen on the table. i mean i can only tab through the cells which i see, i need to use the horizontal scrollbar to move to the cells which are not already seen.
can i programmatically change this behaviour?
i used the example program below to disable a part of the table.

Cursor selection not working-bug?

hi i've the following problem. if u can find out please try the same
created 3 cursors for an XY graph
select one or many cursors from the legend. try to move the cursors using the '' tool. repeat this again
the cursor selection is unpredictable!!

Hi Dan,
i have selected Cursor 0
then i clicked near 7, then using the navigation button (on the right side), i've increased the Y value. Cursor 0 is selected but, the Y value of Cursor 2 is incremented.
Many Customers are having problem with this. Please help.

LabVIEW - Activex Internet Explorer Communication - Question

Hi
I have a code which can generate a URL(https:\\.....) to talk to a
server. The server in turn sends my code a response. I've used ActiveX
to enable the communication over a secure network.When I make a change
in the URL I send to the server, I expect a different response. However
there is a delay in reading that response. If I use the same URL in the
web browser I get the correct message. Looks like ActiveX is caching
the data. Has anyone faced this problem before and what might be a
potential solution ? Thanks for your help.

Attached is a snapshot of my program. I think activex might be
cacheing. but i am not sure which component. probably the one which
tries to navigate the IE - that's my best guess. Let me know if you
have suggestions.
