Can any one tell me which are the post clone steps in details in R12.

HTTP 500 Internal Server Error while starting AppsTier post-clone

Hello,
Adcfgclone scripts on both DB and App Tiers, as well as Adautocfg scripts, complete successfully but I am faced with a "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" and "The website cannot display the page" through IE when starting R12 Apps post clone. So far I have run a script on the cloned environment to synchronize the Workflow tables with APPS user, and re-ran autoconfig on both DB and App Tiers, but I still see the 500 error.
Any other pointers? Thanks in advance!

The error you are getting "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" is a generic one, please check Apache log files and the application.log file for details about the error.

Error when running post clone

Hi. In running post clone on db tier I am getting following error for log permissions:

Actually I just created more permissions on the .err and . res files in /tmp and post clone worked.
Now I am trying to do control file recreation but failing with this:

Yes i run sh orainstRoot.sh as root user after running orainstRoot.sh script as root user i run adcfgclone.pl script but it still getting error.
The 806 installer uses the oratab file.
The file oratab needs to exist at:
/etc/oratab
Please run the script /tmp/orainstRoot.sh as root
Restart adclone.pl after performing required corrections.
ERROR: Failed to execute /apps/oracle/orcldb/9.2.0/appsutil/clone/bin/adclone.pl
This error little bit change from above mention error which come at first time after running sh orainstRoot.sh.kindly look at this.
I didn't run adclone.pl as it saying in error Restart adclone.pl after performing required corrections.
i am asking you should i run adclone.pl as it in above error.and please tell how can i run adclone.pl..is it run as perl adclone.pl dbTier....?

Hi All,
I am totally new to Apex.. so i will be totally asking ridiculous questions hopefully not!!!
I had to do a full clone for the ebs & db.. so did it and then found oops apex is part of it ..
I did search for folder called apex_listener .. nothing came back ...mmm did a search for apex.war nothing again ..
My system: linux 64 bit .. rac environment
2 nodes for EBS Application with version 12.1.3
and 2 nodes for database with version 11.2.0.2
My total ASSUMPTION that i will find the apex config file within apps server .. failed miserably ..
What are the usual post clone steps for apex or is a reinstall preferred? Kindly shed some light ..

also the user login as apexresprd resides on application .. so i assumed that the listener should be running from the database in order for the application server to communicate with the db server for Apex..... Sorry if i made a foool outta myself!!!There's often a confusion with database listener and APEX Listener... Of course, you can run APEX Listener on the same machine as your database, but in contrast to the database listener it's more an application server component than a database component. Similar to APEX Listener, which is deployed to a JEE container [app server] or uses an embedded JEE container, mod_plsql was "added" to Oracle HTTP Server to make it front your APEX instance in your database. To do that, they both connect to the database using the database listener using JDBC (APEX Listener) or OCI (mod_plsql).

i believe the above says the apex is alive but i cant access it via the url so not sure what i have to do ..I'm not sure about this. This means your Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is up. It doesn't mean it has been configured properly to make APEX available. This is done in the dads.conf for mod_plsql you've already mentioned.
What's the actual error message you receive when you call the URL for your APEX instance?

Error running adcfgclone.pl dbconfig post-clone

Attempting a clone/refresh of our TEST EBSR12 environment. Followed steps in the documentation. First, I ran adrpeclone.pl dbTier. Next I ran adpreclone.pl appsTier. Subsequently, I copied the source $APPL_TOP, $COMN_TOP, and TechStack from source system to target system. Next step was to shutdown DB and run adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack. Then, target DB control files were created and RMAN restore commenced. Any pointers? All I see in the logfile is "ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect
descriptor" This is impossible because all the info in the TNSNames file is set correctly.

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
Attempting a clone/refresh of our TEST EBSR12 environment. Followed steps in the documentation. First, I ran adrpeclone.pl dbTier. Next I ran adpreclone.pl appsTier. Subsequently, I copied the source $APPL_TOP, $COMN_TOP, and TechStack from source system to target system. Next step was to shutdown DB and run adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack. Then, target DB control files were created and RMAN restore commenced. Was the database created successfully? Please make sure the database is up and it is open along with the database listener.
Please see if (Autoconfig Error On Dbtier After Upgrade - afdbprf.sh and adcrobj.sh fail with ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist [ID 422709.1]) is applicable.

Post installation activities in SCM 7.0 Installation.

Hi All,
I am in a process of installating SCM 7.0 and going through the installation guide "Installation GuideSAP SCM 7.0 SR1 ABAP on Solaris: Oracle , document version - 1.0-2009-05-04"
Along with SCM 7.0 we are also installation Livecache 7.7. In the same host we planned to install SCM 7.0 CI and LiveCache 7.7 Server.
I have following queries
1) My understaing is, there should not me more than one productive client in the SCM system. This client should be use for SCM and live cache.Is that correct?
2) As per installation document give above there are two point
   5.13   BI-Specific Post-Installation Steps. Here it's talks about creating a client and do regarding transaction RSA1.
   Can somebody give the details, what are the activities we need to do in RSA1.
3) How to integrate LiveCache and SCM sytem. Can somebody give the steps to of the integration of SCM and livecache.
Request you all to reply which will help me for SCM and livecache implementation.

Post-refresh activities in BI after R/3 is restored or refreshed

Dear Experts
From what i could recall, post-refresh of R/3 system requires certain steps to be done on the basis / Netweaver layer of BI before the system can be normalised.
I recall that there is a RFC (sm59) user whose password I need to know in order to carry out the BDLS?
Please advise what activities are needed after a R/3 system connected to BI is refreshed or restored with backup.
Is there a guide for this?
Would greatly appreciate your advice.

Check following
Delta Loads:
1. Whenever a refresh happens from the production, the delta pointers are disturbed.
2. You need to re initialize the delta pointer for the DS you mentioned.
3. If it is for the testing purpose of the Delta functionality, you may intialize the delta pointer 1st and then ask for postings of data in the ECC side.
4. Once the postings are done, you would see data in Delta Queue in RSA7 in source system.
5. Now run the Delta InfoPackage so as to fetch this data from the Delta Q of SS to the BW system.
Full Loads
1. If you are expecting a full load (Historical data), you need to first fill the Setup tables (in Background only) in the SS.
2. Once the Setup table fill job is completed in SS, you may execute a Full InfoPackage in order to get this full load.

I appreciate your effort to clear my confusion on this.
The section from R12 cloning note ["Note: If you are cloning between different versions of the Operating System (e.g. Linux 5 to Linux 4)......."]    lead me to this confusion.
Here is another not which deals with higher version to lower version clone : lsnrctl failed to start after cloning from OEL 5.6 To OEL 4.6 (Doc ID 1589975.1)
