Post disappeared?

I recently posted and after checking back the post disappeared and instead I got this message - Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here.
Whats up with that?

My post disappeared! Down for over a week!

Wow! my whole post disappeared. Am I talking about a sore subject?
Been down for over a week. My issue is that because I am using a usb modem as my internet connection with considerable infrastructure to make it work, support always says its my problem. I always remove my modem from my router and place it in a netbook to prove I have no 'unusual' setup to support. This time I had to actually drive to the tower to prove I wasn't having a reception problem. Something was finally changed while troubleshooting from car (tech's words not mine) and I'm working again.
To VZW's credit, minutes ago I had a tech call me back and tell me there is a local tower problem. My faith in good business has been salved.
However I'm really confused. All week I was told there were problems, then they were fixed, looked like my device, tech today said he made a change (local to me), another tech says there are problems. Do you guys not have a running log/ticketing system? I've been in IT for 30 years, most places do...

Why are my posts disappearing?

I have recently posted twice, seen them appear in the forum, then magically disappear a short while later.
Is Verizon censoring the forums? There has never been any foul language or names in my posts.
Just curious...

So if they are reading the posts - which by the way are a good warning for anyone else potentially sending their phone to Verizon - wouldn't the correct way to deal with the situation be to deal with the problem?
I do not understand why they want to treat customers like this, I really don't. I have been lied to over and over and over. They let me "try" a Note 2. It did not have the dropped call problem, but I HATE it, so they sent another DNA. It dropped a call within hours of activating it. I contacted support again and they said because I had 3 phones not returned (including the one I just activated), they couldn't send another DNA. So I waited until tracking showed them all delivered and contacted them again. It was at that point they said "you have the comparable replacement and are NEVER getting the phone you paid for."
So at some point during that week, they totally screwed me over, stole the phone I have a receipt for, and stuck my with a piece of crap that even Samsung did not intend to be comparable. One is a phablet, one is a phone. Different uses, different customers. The Samsung "comparable" phone is the S4 which is only a few months newer than the DNA.

Repeat: My post disappeared; Firefox plugins directory

I am running Fedora 10 KDE. There are shoddy instructions at the following Web page

to supposedly show me how to enable and configure Java on my machine for Firefox. The problem is that I can't complete the first step because there is no "plugins" directory for my installation of Firefox. Should I create one or is there something else I am missing?

Parts of post disappear

Today I tried to post a text that contained HTTP headers. One of those was this:

(let's write it in a different way so it's not removed again:
C o n t e n t - D i s p o s i t i o n : f o r m - d a t a ;
(leave out the blanks)
But after hitting submit, this is what was displayed:
Content-Dis-data;
I tried to edit the text and repair the damage, but after each submit the "Position: form" part was swallowed again.

The thread is locked for some reason, but apparently this was filed as a bug. Looks like they haven't fixed it yet.

Why are my questions and posts disappearing from this discussion forum?

it shows the number in post count on my profile but the posts and questions i leave are gone after a few times of logging in. I don't get why this is happening.

Thanks for the reply. No post nor question is in profile or my post/my questions but the number of posts actually accounts for them being made which is strange. I doubt they were moderated for being in wrong category and nothing against the terms for sure. It's only two post one question was basically this same one I just asked,but in other words. Another I commented about the ram not being so cheap for new Imacs to upgrade. Since people on the SL installs were complaining about not being able to upgrade to SL due to lack of ram and others commented how cheap memory is. I just was wondering what the problem was. That original question is nowhere to be found. Thanks though at least i know others can see my latest post. Nothing for me to lose sleep over.

Why has my post disappeared

I literally just posted a long post regarding lack of port forwarding on my infinity connection and it has gone! Why is that?

Why after receiving a resend order did my facebook posts and everything else disappear...I have signed off ..signed back on refreshed...what can I do to fix this problem?

I was on facebook accepting gifts from farmville ,when I got a resnd window from firefox ,which I clicked on ..then everything,all posts disappeared....and I can't get it back,signed off back on...refreshed...did a cleanup on my computer ...still nothing.

Try to go through the set up once again.
If that doesnt work, check your virus protection and under internet apps or some such thing, make sure itunes is not blocked from the internet.
Most cases it's not the internet that's the issue it's the program itself, but if this is bugging you, I suggest you at least make sure.

Disappearing Blog Posts

Any time I edit an already existing blog post in the BC admin, that post disappears from the website. Any idea what is causing this?

I've seen this happen on a few occasions in more than one forum, but I assumed the deletion was deliberate.
Can someone (John?) tell us why the system thinks that post was removed?

Facebook timed out while writing a post. Any attempt to open FB, now shows post that was in progress and immediately crashes app. Cannot clear timed out item. Have power failed and done warm reboot on iPad.   Is Delete/Reinstall only option?

Was writing post, as part of sharing article from my newsfeed.   While writing, Facebook timed out. Display cleared. App recycled and returned to newsfeed. This has happened previously and for all purposes, the original post, since it had never been "loaded" onto FB servers effectively was deleted from iPad memory. That appeared to be the case yesterday; as I was able to continue reading, sharing and commenting on other articles.
Later, as I was shutting iPad down for the night, scrolled through open Apps and discovered the original FB window was still "open" I'd apparently been working on a 2nd or mirror version of the app. Attempting to access the original page; it opens, but I am unable to "interact" with the display/app, pressing "cancel" on my original post has no effect. Within 5-6 seconds FB crashes.
I power failed the iPad, left it over night and today am encountering the same problem.   Tapping FB icon, brings up the post that was timed out. It displays for 2-3 seconds max, then original article and partial post disappear. Newsfeed appears to be loading as that and contact columns are visible in light font indicating they are preparing to load.   2-3 seconds, that vanishes. Am left with blue header band, spinning wheel indicating it is trying to communicate or process something.   2-3 seconds and then screen goes black and I'm returned to my app desktop.
If I immediately tap icon to reopen I get white screen, with blue header band.   2-3 seconds, black screen, back to app desktop.   If I wait 2 minutes, I get the full shared article, partial post as described above. I've confirmed in the problem log that this is failing in Thread 0 and showing up as system crash.
Based on feedback to somewhat similar FB problem I found in forum; in addition to doing power fail. I also did warm reboot (Home and Sleep keys) in hope app would reboot along with ios. No change.
At this point, I'm assuming my only viable option is to delete the app and reinstall it from App Store. Easy enough to accomplish. But wanted to see if there were any other recommendations, or whether anyone else has experienced a similar failure with FaceBook.

What happens after "reporting a post"?

Hi everyone!
A 2nd user displays a couple of outbursts against the 1st user who is helping the OP. These outbursts are uncalled for and I realize I could report his post but I'm afraid the MODS might delete the whole thread, and the OP might still need help.
What actually happens after I report his post? Is it just his posts that gets deleted, or the whole thread? What's the procedure for something like this?
And I don't want to post the thread or name the user in question, if I can help it.

When a post is reported, the moderators will receive the notification and look at any comments added by the reporter. They will look at the reported post first and then at the entire thread. Depending on the post, it may be removed or edited. If a post is removed, all of the responses linked to that post are also removed. This is something that is considered when deciding to remove or editing a post or an entire thread.
When a post is removed, an email is sent to the user who posted the removed item. Informing them of the reasons for the action. Users who posted responses to that removed post will not be notified. This is why some users have seen their posts "disappear" without notice, they were branches from a removed post.
We walk the fine line between full, open exchange and keeping messages on topic. We appreciate your help to notify us of those posts that fall outside the lines.

Blog Post Date Bug

Hi,
I use windows live writer to publish to my blog on BC and other blog platforms.
When I publish from live writer with today at the post date, the post is not visible on the blog site at all.
I enter the admin of BC, change the blog post date to yesterday and the post becomes visible.
Thought this was an issue with live writer so I changed the published date back to today. Post disappeared again.
Changed it back to the day before and it appeared.
This is very buggy. In fact I am finding the blog set up in general full of issues, like the RSS feed does not work.
What can be done about this? I would like to press publish and have it actually published not have to log in and edit each post each time....

My apologies Paul I was referencing the RSS troubles.
In regards to the post date with blogs using Live Writer I'm not aware of any related bugs referencing this as a known issue.
If still an on-going issue I recommend submitting a case to us with the details and steps showcasing what you are experiencing so we can replicate and fix this ASAP.
I would suggest using Jing to capture in a short video of what you are experiencing attached along your case to us.

Why do you keep deleting my post?

I keep posting a question about the Dolby Digital license in Encore, but the post keeps getting deleted. Why is this happening? Is there something you don't want us to know?

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I somehow logged myself in with an account I don't normally use, which is why my email address was not correct. My apologies for that.
I only searched the Encore 2.0 forum for my post and not the whole Encore forum. I didn't even think of that.
It's funny because my colleague and I were sitting here watching the forums and watching my post disappear. We were starting to think conspiracy theory! LOL

Is Using ASC a catch-all for post that don't specify a Community?

I have noticed many these appear in the Using ASC main page, only to disappear later, routed to their appropriate forum by our Hosts, I presume.
Do these appear here because the poster skips the step immediately following this entry pane?
It is hard to imagine someone picking Using ASC as the appropriate place for an iPhone question, but stranger things have happened I'm sure.

That is astounding. All those icons (haven't counted but tt2 probably has counted for his SITEMAP). -- BUT it WOULD NOT HELP.
The process for NEW post takes one back to the Welcome page to start with - BUT the choice of where to post it is AFTER one keys the text in the compose pane. It is VERY obvious step but hard to understand - another Active Search field that yields a list of results to pick from OR a "Browse" link (I didn't follow that so I have no idea what it does).
Too subtle for a panicky person, methinks.
Seems logical that if one skipped that step that the script would send it here for remedial tutoring.
That still doesn't explain the clear, concise and thorough posts in German!!
The Hosts do move stuff cause I have seen the German posts disappear within about 20 minutes.
