Post GR Prior to TO creation in MDE

Hi Gurus,
What are the settings required to post the GR prior to TO creation in Mobile data entry?
Thanks
Sreeni

The setting is in:
SPRO > Logistics - General > Handling Unit Management > Basics > Delivery > Define Sequence of Transfer order - Goods Receipt
Please check whether HUM requirement is set for the storage location
SPRO > Logistics - General > Handling Unit Management > Basics > Material Management > Inventory Management > HU Requirement for Storage Locations and Default Values for Deliveries

  • Posting date in QA11 is allowed prior to GR creation date

    Dear all,
It is regarding material posting through QA11 transaction. in QA11 transaction we can change the document date and posting date. This allows me to post the material prior to GR creation date, which logically should not allow.
If anybody has work on this aspect.
I have already tried all the user exits. I am able to put the check in QEVA0007 (EXIT_SAPMQEVA_007), but it convert the error message to Information and allows further.
    You guys input are required.

    Raja,
None of the available User Exits will assist in this case. There is no standard tool to perform this check.
Have you considered a field exit? The field you need to look at in this particular case is RQEVA-BUDAT.
In the coding of 'MQEVAF20' the form 'HOLE_ZUSATZDATEN_QALS' actually
does change the date set by QALS with the current date.
...this is not much, but I´m afraid there is not much option in this case.

  • Restrict GR date prior to PO creation date.

    Dear experts,
The Present configuration allows GR date prior to PO creation date. The system allows users to post Goods receipt (MIGO), even if the GR date is prior to the PO creation date.
How to restrict this? Is there a standard customization in MM or it requires ABAP programming?
Please suggest me a solution as early as possible.
    Thanks in advance.

  • SAP IHC PAYMENT ORDER - posting date prior to Current posting date

    Hello folks,
I have a general question about SAP-IHC module.
While creating a manual internal payment order using IHC1IP transaction code, if I change the "Date Executed" date, the system allows to post the payment order in closed period(posting date prior to the current posting date(for the Bank area in F9B1), i.e. the payment items posted, contained in the IHC payment order, has an old posting date, which is prior to the current posting date of the Bank area - Is this normal?

    Dear,
Check with settings in OLMR transaction.
Invoice Block - Set Tolerance Limits [Transaction : OMR6]
Here you need to add New entries with - Tolerance Key : LD and company code and set the limits. Please check the documentation which available read as below:
LD: Blanket purchase order time limit exceeded
The system determines the number of days by which the invoice is outside the planned time interval. If the posting date of the invoice is before the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the start of the validity period. If the posting date of the invoice is after the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the end of the validity period. The system compares the number of days with the with the absolute upper limit defined.

  • Setting the size of a tablespace prior to its creation

    Hi guys,
    Oracle version: 10.2.0.x
    OS: Windows 32bit
I was wondering if there are any 'conditions' in setting the intial size of a tablespace prior to its creation. This is because, one of our customers wants to export and import from one schema into another but set an initial size for a tablespace during its creation and prior to importing data into it, but we have a database wizard tool that creates the accounts/schemas by using the following underlying sql:-
    CRETE TABLESPACE <tbl_name> datafile <path><datafile_name>.dbf SIZE 100M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 100M MAXSIZE 32000M DEFAULT STORAGE (INITIAL 256 NEXT 256K MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS UNLIMITED PCTINCREASE 0) ONLINE;
Under normal circumstances, what he would do is to use our wizard tool and create an account and then import data from an export dump.
But he wants to create a tablespace using a SQL something like:-
    CRETE TABLESPACE <tbl_name> datafile <path><datafile_name>.dbf SIZE 2000M AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500M MAXSIZE 32000M DEFAULT STORAGE (INITIAL 256 NEXT 256K MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS UNLIMITED PCTINCREASE 0) ONLINE;
He thinks this should be ok because his export dump would be on size 2GB and would want to import all of that 'at once' i.e. without actually using autoextend feature for the first 2GB.
Does this make any sense? Do you guys see any difference 'performance-wise' between the 2 create tablespace statements?
I think the second sql (with size 2000M initially) seems to be a more logical approach but I am not really sure of the implications going down the line performance-wise.
    Any help/input much appreciated!
    Thanks guys

    1) Provide the facility in your tool to change the default size of datafiles and keep autoextend off.You won't believe it...we had this option in a previous version but now it isn't there anymore!
But why turning off AUTOEXTEND? I mean, our customers are not meant to modify anything in the database other than via using our software, hence we would want our customers to just use the software as it is but have their DBAs monitor the growth of any datafiles etc...
    2) Let your tool do what it is doing and then manually increasing the size of the datafiles and making autoextend off once you have created the tablespace and before doing import. This can be done by your tool or loggin to the database. We could do this, but we don't want our customers to manually finger the database as they are/might not be Oracle-efficient and wouldn't want production systems to crash for the same reason.
Hence we could just give them the SQL to be replaced with the 'default' one and then create a tablespace via the tool which would create a tablespace with an initial size of 2GB+ and with greater autoextend facility (such as autoextend on 500M) rather than 100M so that there are fewer autoextends.
Also, in your point 2, are you saying to turn off autoextend only for the import and set it back on by alter tablespace....?
    Thank you.

  • Travel Expense - Posting run error - Error during creation of posting run

    Hi Guru's,
Look forward for your insights. Here you go with my question.
We are implementing Expense Mgt with Portal with out scope for payroll in SAP.  I have set up Expense type, WT, Symbolic A/c to G/L Accounts. Im performing Unit testing currently.
Created Expense trip in ESS, from R/3 tcode PRAP, have approved trip, and settled through Tcode - PREC.
When I try to create posting run under transfer to accounting, I get following error
Error during creation of posting run number (->PR1
    Message no. 56840
I'm not sure why this error was popping up. Appreciate your suggestion.
    Regards
    Praveen.N

    Hi,
Since you are trying to make payment through FI, you need to maintain ur employee as Vendor. You can do it through PRAA.
So while creating posting run for this trip, it checks if the respective Vendor for this employee is maintained or not.
Pls maintain it as vendor and see if the errors are still coming.

  • Can we create a PO then post invoice prior to GRN being performed

Can you please advise if there is a way to make the following scenario possible:
Using t-code ME21N we create a PO for goods or services with limits (using po type NB)
We would like to post the invoice and match it to the PO when it arrives even if the manager who raised the PO has not yet performed a GRN (goods receipt) in MIGO.
We have tried to do this but system will not allow us to post the invoice before the GRN has been done.
The invoice will remain blocked for payment until the GRN action has been done.
Thanks for any tips or advice.  Points awarded for successful resolution.
    Regards
    Steve.

    Hi,
During ME21N - Creation of PO,
Do not activate "GR-based IV" under "Invoice" Tab at Item Details level.
During MIRO - LIV (Before GR i.e. MIGO)
System will not show any value under quantity and amount fields, you have to input these details manually and then Simulate and Post.
Note: - After "Simulation" do not post directly if it is correct, come to "Payment" tab page and Remove "Payment Block" and make it "free for payment'.
Even if it is blocked then release it in MRBR

  • Will zones inherit security/hardening settings made prior to zone creation?

    Hi guys.
So the scenario is I've just finished hardening Solaris 10: disabling of services, configuring tcp wrappers and the such. I would now like to create a zone or zones but there are a few things I would like to make sure of, before proceeding.
    The questions are:
    i) After creating a zone, whether it's sparse or whole, will the non-global zone inherit the hardening settings that I have setup prior? Or is it a seperate entity that requires me to harden it.
ii)I understand that patching the global zone will patch the rest of the other zones. Does this include whole-root zone since it does not mount any filesystem outside its zone.
    Thank you.
    N.

No, except for the packages that get installed at zone creation time, they're separate.
Patches are applied to all zones. A zone may be temporarily booted just to apply a patch. Even though a whole-root zone may not mount external filesystems, that doesn't mean that it's independent. For instance, it's kernel files aren't actually loaded, since it doesn't have an independent kernel. When the global zone's kernel is patched, all others are as well. So the files within the zone will be patched as well to maintain consistency.

  • Unable to post a journal this month . The journal posted fine prior mnths

    Hi ,
We are trying to post a journal like we do every month for 1 facility and this month it gets stuck in processing . The error logs hints to ACCT segment , but the acct code combination being used is a valid one.
The journal is uploaded using Web ADI ... it uploads fine , but errors out during posting . The aacount combination is giving trouble only with 1 facility , others posted normally as they have in prior months.
The log below says : "Please enter a value for the parameter or segment ACCT" , But the ACCT segment is present on the Web adi upload file .
Can some one please provide direction ? I ahve tried to create and post manually too.. same error.
    Thanks

Hi , Thanks for the reply ... But no luck .
The account is not disabled or end dated as it is used by other faclities in the same batch .
We have total 8 lines in the batch ( 2 lines for each of the four facilities ; 1 Db and 1 cr line each). Apart from the 1st segment (facility number) the rest of the code combination is same for all 8 lines .
If i remove the 2 lines (for 01CANTP) for the trouble maker facility , the remaining 6 lines post normally.
Even checked the value set for facility codes to see if thats disbaled or end dated. But it was enabled.
No changes have been made to cross validation rules since last closing , when the same journal worked.
Any other place where to look ?

  • Cant change delivery date on Sales Order posted in prior period

    Hello All,
Scenario: A sales order which was processed in prior period but since then delivery date had changed due to request from our customer. When we try to go back and change the delivery date, we find it greyed out. To get around this, we have to open the period again, change date and then close the period. Problem is that not all dates get changed, so our late delivery report look bad, shows that 90% of our deliveries are late, when in fact they are on time, the new time which we could not record on the Sales Order. We have similar problem with our purchase Orders.
Is there anything in Administration we can do to enable us to easily chnage delivery dates on Sales order and purchase orders?

    Hi,
Welcome you to post on the forum. What is your B1 version and PL?

  • Storage Type change in the transfer order after creation with MDE

    Hello ,
With the MDE transaction ZMDETSP the transfer between storage locations is done and the transfer order created in the background.
I would like to know if in standard SAP the modification of the storage type is possible after the TO is created therefore also in MDE.
I changed the bin with LT1D but impossible for the storage type.
I know, user exits BUT there must be other solutions, no ?!!
Thanks in advance for your answer(s),
    Patricia

You have to do the configuration to change the storage type in TO.
IMG>LE>WM>Strategies>Activate storage type search , Here you have to give both the storage type.
Also you need to change the storage type at the time of TO creation not duirn confirmation

  • Forex Gain/loss posting from prior interest Accruals in capitaliization scenario !!

    Gurus,
    This is a decent question.
In SAP MM instruments, how do we post
Forex Gain/loss arisng from prior interest Accruals in capitaliization scenario !!
    1. Is it REALIZED OR UNREALIZED gain/loss?
    2. Should it even be considered Gain / Loss, in which case Accounting Entry will be like
    DR/CR Interest Accrued
    Cr/DR Interest Accrued Discount
    Please advise.
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
Can you explain what do you mean by prior interest acrruals in capitalization scenario.
If you have a MM product which you are capitalizing the interest , then for previous month the accrual interest posted which is already posted will remain.
I am not clear about the scenario. Care to explain it pls

  • Predefining Map IDs Prior to Help Creation?

We're looking to streamline our help integration process for
in-program, window-level help. The way we would like to do this is
to have the developers assign Map IDs in the code right from the
outset in the development process, before the help is written.
However, doing so would mean that any map file I get from them will
not include topic titles. Is this a problem?
(The advantage is that by using this system I could go
through the application screen by screen during the testing phase
and determine which screens do not have associated help topics.)
If we can in fact implement this system, what does the
developer need to give me? What should the file content look like?

I have usually not had any problems with BugHunter. But my
usual caveat applies here - I use RH v. 2000. Another tool you can
use is Microsoft's Help Workshop. It will also intercept help
    messages from applications.
Before trying anything else, you have your application and
BugHunter running simultaneously? And do you have your RH project
open? Do you know what command the developer is using to call help?
You should get something with the following format from BugHunter:
    CHM File Name: C:\PROGRAM FILES\DSQUARED\LATEST
    BETA\delight.chm
    Topic: Welcome.htm
    Command: HH_HELP_CONTEXT
    Map Number: 0
    Result: Topic launched.
I have, on occasion, had neither BugHunter nor Help Workshop
respond and the reaon has something to do with the fact that I run
numerous, unregistered to Windows, beta and release versions (all
with the same filename) of our software on one computer. I have
always been able to fix it if I delete the hh.dat file. Something
in that file (which seems to have a highly secretive format)
interferes with help calls if you have changed directories of your
    app without letting Windows know.
