Post moderation

Hi,
I created a new discussion post in SAP HANA and In-Memory Business Data Management
I have contributed to posts in that space previously, and have 319 points to date. I did however see a notification issued last week that "due to spam some user posts will automatically be moderated" but that a solution was expected in a week's time.
Grateful for any indicators as to why my post was sent for moderation, as the topic contains questions regarding certification exam preparation and hence time critical to me at least.

Yes, there are some additional moderation rules in place due to spam. Various actions and words may trigger a filter, even if a member meets other prerequisites to avoid moderation. The specific rules and actions vary all the time.
Your content will be review and processed by a moderator as soon as posse. Thank you or your understanding and patience.

Dear moderators,
I just received 3 "Apple Discussions - Post Removed by Host" messages. Personally, I don't think any of them deserved to be removed. They directly answered the questions posed by the original posters. No doubt the original posters didn't like said answers, but that is their problem.
However, I think the moderators really went too far when removing the posting:
I really thought Apple was going to replace the FireWire 400 with the FireWire 800. But I see that it was removed. Again. Not even the new SD slot that the other Books have. So now what? USB 2.0 is to slow. I need the Target Disk Mode, and that needs FireWire.
... especially since I didn't make that post, "Apple //GS" did
Either there is a problem with the Apple discussion database, or someone is using my e-mail address.

No problem. Plus it gave me a chance to slyly "get the last word in". No one's ever thought of that before.
I just hope the post moderation process isn't a manual one. That wouldn't be good. But a corrupted database index isn't good either.

Archiving fi documents

Hi,
Archival is done with tcode SARA
Configuration
In SARA tcode,
Object : FI_DOCUMNT (For archive FI Documents) and press enter
click on customizing button
Maintain account type life
Maintain document type life
For Archiving FI documents:
Object : FI_DOCUMNT (For archive FI Documents)
Select Write Option.
Put a variant name and click maintain.
In the next screen (change screen assignment) check the check box and click continue.
Enter Company Code, Fiscal Year / Period and all Document numbers, Remove Test run button and Click on Attributes
Enter meaning text and Save.
In Main screen again click on SAVE and click on BACK.
Go to start date run it immediately. Then,
Go to spool parameters and check it.
Click on Immediate
Click on Save.
Go to Spool Parameters. Click on ok.
Execute the same now job is scheduled.
Go to SM37 and check scheduled job.
Click on job log and note session number for archival
Now to delete the documents:
Object : FI_DOCUMNT
Click on Delete
Click on archive selection, select session number and schedule background job.

Whatever happened to my Apple support account?

Hi everyone!
I am a person who enjoys visiting the Apple support page and try to help people who post their iPod problems on here. Every time someone said anything in the same post I had responded before I get an e-mail letting me know a new post was added to the thread, this no longer happens; I have not received any e-mails from any new posts in about 3 days. I have wondered what happened. Is there a post moderator or something that could explain to me what settings I have to modify so I would get those e-mails again?? They were so helpful.

If you click on "preferences" under your name, then "subscriptions", that's where you choose the email settings.
You should note however that there is currently a problem with email subscriptions (and has been for a few days). Apple are aware of the problem, but there is no indication of when it will be resolved.

Mac mini OS X server set-up.

Hi, everyone.
After a review of alternatives for web, e-mail and FTP hosting on a Mac with OS X client, I am now considering the purchase of a Mac Mini with OS X Server installed.
I have been able to get web hosting, FTP services and e-mail services working on my Mac running the client version of OS X. Web and FTP services are working well and just as I wanted. However, I haven't been able yet to find solutions for e-mail and mailing lists that work the way I want.
After reading Apple's pages on the new Snow Leopard Server it seems it is fairly easy to set-up (important for me since I have little experience with networking) and has significant improvements over Leopard server (can't tell whether it is really true or just marketing hype).
I need to set-up a server as part of my small network and it doesn't necessarily have to be the server of my own network. I could have it set-up as an independent computer but it needs to have the following services running:
1. Virtual web hosting (plan to host a total of 7 to 12 websites)
2. E-mail services (at least two e-mail addresses for each of the websites hosted as described above using the same domain name)
3. FTP services (ability to setup designated folders to remote users so that they can log in and upload/download files to their home folder)
4. Mailing lists (host 5 to 10 discussion groups in the form of mailing lists with some managements functions such as moderation, access to mailing list statistics, archival and search of posts, moderation and a few other)
How simple would it be to set-up these services on the new Mac Mini with OS X Server Snow Leopard ?

The mini server will work nicely in your situation. There are many folks that have been able to set up Mac OSX Server that have no prior experience.
One suggestion is to pick up a book about using OSX Server. There are lots of them out there, just find one that you can understand and relate to.

Customizing submit privileges with dls

Hi folks
I'm busy migrating our dl's from our existing e-mail server to OCS e-mail.
A lot of our lists have a certain amount of internal and external members. I see, that I can define the lists that either the subscribers or everyone can post to the list. I'd like to define the lists as such, that all of the internal people e.g. *.our.domain.com and *.our.2nd.domain.com can post to the list, but no other. So people posting to that lists can both be subscribers or not. The limitation of either subscribers or open seems to me a little restricted. Without the ability to make that a little more flexible I cannot migrate one single of our currently ca. 50 lists.
Any ideas? That would be great.

Hi Christian!
You could asiign the right to post to a DL when adding the user to a DL.
In the set up of a DL you have several options:
Everybody can post
Moderated
Restricted
What you want is a DL in which the internal people can post - so give them the priviledge to post articles and add the external users with read-only priviledges.
As far as I know there is no bulk mechanism to give this right to all *.our.domain.org but with some ldif-tweaking you could add this into the OID.

first, you posted a symbian question in the maemo forum...you may have better luck there.
second, i hope you have a backup. the only way credible people would help you with this is if you posted a receipt showing the unit you have is paid for by you...and not stolen.

N85 display problem

In my n85's display one of the cells have lost it green color and when I apply green themes to showing pictures with a highlight of green color there is a dark dot in display how can I fix it

Where can I go to discuss Mozilla policy issues?

I know this is not the place to do it, so if someone can tell me I'd greatly appreciate it.
This is in regards to Brendan Eich being promoted to CEO.
At http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ there is a Contact Us link at the bottom right of the page that is supposed to lead to http://www.mozilla.org/about/contact.html however when clicked it auto-redirects to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/contact/spaces/ which seems to be for office spaces offered by Mozilla.
Is there a phone number I can call to contact Mozilla, a forum to inform them of my issues with their new CEO, or an email address I can send my concearns to?

Though the Submit Feedback is mainly for feedback on Firefox itself.
I know Brendan did have comments enabled but I guess even with post moderation he was getting a lot of comments of much more towards negativity versus positive comments.
Mitchell did have comments enabled at times too however she likely has had to deal with negativity comments about the ceo also along with spam comments that somebody kept spamming about the new Australis ui.

N97 Mini dead

I have N 97 mini got it from my brother from Outside india. Phone was working well but suddenely 1 day, it was hard power on. now while i charge the phone by any means i.e. charger or PC usb charging, it vibrate continously. i had tried to HARD RESET it but no respone, only blue light blinks after pressing ON/OFF.
Any body can have thoughts on this what is to be done exactly to get that phone start.

It can not dial on its own. Did you check the log ? Which nos. were dialed, for what duration were the calls, etc. For a bill of Rs.3500/- the call duration should add up to atleast 5-1/2 hrs during that sngle night..
BTW if you do not require, you may tell Vodafone to deactivate the ISD facility..

Chinese on N8

hi Nokia,
i m considering coming back to you from my current iphone. N8 by all specs comparison is far superior to iphone, except... apps.
Currently i m using this wonderful Chinese-English Dictionary from ZHdict.com to help teach my son chinese. It has this wonderful input options in english, chinese pinyin (romanised pronounciation) and even chinese handwriting recognition!
i have searched the Ovi store but to no avail.
Any recommandations or input from Nokia is much appreciated. N8 has arrived in Singapore...go, no go, go, no go ? .... pls help.

Interesting to say the least. I was merely responding to able123 in a discussion about the Creative Cloud's usage in a non-connected environment.

This HAS happened to me, and on several occasions.
There are certain "trigger words," that flag a post. I have never seen a list (and I would assume that it changes often, due to the work of spammers), but have managed to find a few, accidently, when I tried to post a simple Reply. In every case, my usage was legit, so the posts were all approved.
Last one was really difficult to locate, in a rather large post, but John C. (Adobe-Admin) finally found it. Cannot recall what it was now, but I would never, never have thought that it would be flagged.
Thanks to the spammers, but at least our posts do seem to make it through Moderation.
Just be a bit patient, and the MOD's will give you a pass, and a post.
