Hi.
There are a couple of things you can do. You can either use a dedicated email client program such as Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Thunderbird or lots of others and use the btinternet.com version in the account setting - or you can actually add the btinternet.com email address to the webmail interface.
What you need to do is follow a thing called email address verification - see my shortcuts option 0e.
You can follow the instructions (sorry that they are a little complex) and use your btinternet.com email address as the "additional account".
When this has been completed, you can again go into the webmail interface and set the btinternet.com email address as the default. When you send emails, you will notice a drop down box with both of your addresses listed and you can choose either - but as you wish to use one and set this as default will then mean you don't need to choose it each time.
Note that you may have to completely log out of webmail before the additional email address is listed or made a default.
If you get any problems, just reply back (or email me via my shortcuts).

It's funny how these problems re-appear and how BT seemingly don't know that they exist and, actually, don't belive what you are saying!
I keep on getting a pop-up that tells me I have an e-mail issue with BT. If I close it, it appears again the next day, if I click on the button to resolve the problem it takes me to the BT Help software, which then asks me what problem I have.
I don't know! I didn't know there was a problem in the first place!
I 'chatted' with BT about this - the man said this was a completely new problem that had never been reported or experienced before. He put me through to a telephone help person, who said it was nothing to do with her - she was related to yahoo - but that it would be something to do with BTmail. The lady at BTmail told me that there was nothing that she could do if I couldn't tell her what the problem was. I explained about the pop up and plainly she did not believe me. Apparently, as I don't actually use the btinternet e-mail account I can't get an error message about it.
Well - I do. Every day.
What is irritating is to google the problem and find that it actually appears on this forum - and that BT still deny all knowledge. What is even more amazing is to find that this thread dates from 2012 and there are older ones about exactly the same problem........and still BT deny all knowledge.
Less irritating and more extraordinary is that the 'solution' is to delete the BT Help Center software altogether.
I've only been with BT Infinity for a month now and this is the second issue that I have had (the first was the HH5 being totally unable to display a device on its network), and it's the second time that BT have effectively said - 'not a BT problem'. Extraordinary.

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
To be honest, there would not really be a clash between the products you've mentioned, because the online system using Norton is a server system and actioned before any download. There is possibly an option in BTNetprotect for "email scanning" or similar. This option can be turned off in the general case, since disk writes are covered anyway,
Have you tried another browser (e.g. Firefox, Opera or Safari) to see if the same conditions exist ?
Is there any particular error message or delay you are seeing ?

you need to authorise your Tiscali email account.
login to www.btyahoo.com with your BT email address and password. go into the Mail section. go into Options. then if I remember rightly, it says pop/accounts or similar, and you need to add your Tiscali email in there.
you will then receive an email on your Tiscali account to authorise it.

creative cloud does not use a serial number. it uses your adobe id.

Yes you can, is the short answer. The long answer is that aol has three diferent ways for you to get email. They have their nifty aol software. It can be configured to work over verizon. They let you do pop email which means you use outlook express or a similiar program, and you can use that over fios, with configuration. And then you always have their webmail which is easily accessed over verizon. Http://webmail.aol.com

To anyone who has viewed this post and is having similar difficulties, the answer came on a different forum: I dragged & dropped the files from Mail to iCloud Drive. Opened them on my MB Air, they were saved in Templates and are now accessible across all my devices.

Yes there is probably a problem with the Yahoo servers prematurely timing out. But the originator of the thread was looking for some advice on alleviating their problem. The size of the email, timeout settings, firewall, virus scanning and connection speed all potentially have a bearing on the issue. So the advice given is valid but depending on circumstances may be more or less effective.

Look up Phishing on Google. There is a Wikipedia entry which tells you what its about.
E-mail addresses can be easily found. or generated randomly.

Hi when I log into yahoo mail using btopenworld.com suffix my mails are sent with the btinternet.com suffix can anyone help me please, because this keeps happening when I open mail and reply

If its POP3, then there is no need to check both accounts, as mail from either domain is accepted.
Depending on which program you are using, you should be able to modify the "reply" address to suit.
You should be able to disable the other account and stop it being included in the send and receive function. Its a while since I have used POP3.
Andy_N is the expert here when it comes to e-mail I just use webmail as its easier to pick up mail on any computer.

I am a new beginner to BT and feel like i am going round in circles. There were a few problems with Plusnet of whom i used to be with. Some of us older people were not born with a coumputer mouse in our hand when we popped out. I hate comments such as its not rocket science and many others, what are they trying to do put people off becing a BT Customer@

But how many out there in BT land actually do change it?
BT only prompt the user to change the default admin password if and when they first access the hub.
At least BT thought about the label design on the HH3, keeping it hidden until needed.
I reckon hardly anyone would change the wireless key to be honest , but I wonder how many leave them in a window ...
