I am a new beginner to BT and feel like i am going round in circles. There were a few problems with Plusnet of whom i used to be with. Some of us older people were not born with a coumputer mouse in our hand when we popped out. I hate comments such as its not rocket science and many others, what are they trying to do put people off becing a BT Customer@
I can recieve emails any amount of managers at BT but cant reply to their emails trying to sort out the problems i am having trying to log in to my account.
I recieved my username and password but they dont work.
There are a few questions i would like to ask such as adding 1471 or 1571 to my account?
How do i block unwanted phone calls from insurance firms such as PPI?
How do i help afriend to update his email details?

Moving house - problems with transferring broadban...

I am looking for assistance in resolving a problem with moving my BB & phone services. I moved to a rented flat and sought to transfer my phone & internet package. Initially i was told that the line was still live & that BT would need to write to the current provider in order to take over the line. I was told that my services would be connected on 8th August but could be connected earlier if the currectly active lne was cancelled earlier. I asked my letting agent to ask the landlady to cancel her phone line. I received a voicemail from BT today saying that my order has been cancelled. On the track my order function on BT.com my order is still in progress. I phoned BT and the person i spoke to now claims that i need to contact the other service provider. When i asked to speak to his manager, he hung up on me. I am trying to find an email address for BT as, given i don't have a landline, i don't want to spend ages on my mobile. Thanks!

We ordered transfer in mid June - moved in 11 July. they discovered no phone line evn though had been called from Truro! to check address. Phone eventually connected 29th July. Still no bb. There has been no comms. spent 2 hours trying to get live chat liast evening - just cut you off if they are busy. I work from home and it is impossible situation.
BT is supposed to be a communications IT company - They just cannot get it together.
We are considering cancelling and going for full sattelite no matter the cost. The cost in time and stress is huge when trying to sort BT stuff.
This is second move in 6 months - last time they mucked up too - we eventually got 6 months free owing toe their **bleep** up . I havent the energy to fight them this time. Just leave is best

Yea, in my honest opinion the wireless on the HH3 is not the greatest at all, the channel switching for me causes problems which causes my external devices to lose connection for a few seconds at times.
Is there no way you could just try it? even for long a game or so just to rule out any possibilites? Also, since your at the other end of your house, that is also a problem even when your powerline adaptors.

Not posted Treasury transactions- problem with new Business area (NewGL)

Hi all,
I have to change the Treasury account assignment objects due to a restructure. Currently, all TR transactions are assigned to one business area only.
In future, there will be 3 (different) business areas.
I have added new products, transaction tpyes etc and I have made further customising
settings. It looks ok and I can enter new transactions, settle and post them.
Problems I do have with already existing deals (fixed term and Forex transactions).
In here I get posting errors with message:
Balancing field "Business Area" in line item 001 not filled
Message no. GLT2201
I have added additional account assignment references for the new Business Areas
and assigned to product types and account assignment
What happens when I create a deal?
Is that information (product type/ transaction/ account assignment) alreaedy stored in a table and used, when processing the deal further?
Can I somehow change that original assignment per deal now?
I think my problem lies in that the system wants to use the old assignment but also the new and it comes to conflict in field business area.
Any hints much appreciated and will be reqarded as usual.

No, there is no confusion.. I do know the difference between MS-9130 and the MS-9617. Almost identical except the chipset. Reason I was looking for it is because I used to have it on a board a couple years ago that I eventually sold. I recently picked up 5 more and I have a few 275's. One of my boards is running a custom bios with a pair of 275's, but I wanted to check the difference between the 2 versions.

I was going to put it in the Infinity forum but as there were other similarish ones here, and that my problem is reagrding a connection issue (my modem gets Inifinity just fine), I thought thought the connection issues forum would be the correct place.
Also as HH3 is not Infinity specific, I thought the problem was not necessarily Inifinity specific either

port 1. I did try it on port 2. The odd thing is that this mobo is the first that I have seen where SATA is not recognized in the BIOS setup.
I did solve the problem, though. I bought a Via chipset mobo from a different manufacturer. I was tired of spending hours on this project and the fact that MSI tech support told me that it was Microsoft's problem was no help. I didn't want to create a separate drive image of this one mobo. The fact is that MSi created a mobo that required loading additional drivers for SATA to be recognized- I have not worked with any other manufacturer who required additional drivers loaded to work with SATA (a drive standard).
The new mobo fired right up, recognized the SATA, and I was able to Sysprep the PC in no time. Case solved!

Well, after looking around the forum here I found an answer that works! I wish I could remember who to give credit too though. I installed the latest Vista drivers and I got static all the time. I tried another members suggestion of disabling the X-Fi device in the Device manager every time I log off and then enable the X-Fi the next time I log in. I have great sound as long as I do that. Also, for connecting to a home system I am using the DTS-60, $00 on this website, but it works well if you havea DTS decoder. I am using the X-Fi extreme Music edition. Good Luck, hopefully another driver is on the way.

Interesting... what you are describing is pretty much what was happening on my system with the initial BIOS installed. There was some kind of a bug that caused the motherboard to switch between BIOS-es after you restarted the PC (happens only on an overclocked system). Basically, after you restart, the system will fail to load the primary BIOS, shut down, and restart again this time loading the secondary BIOS (will work fine). Next time it would fail to load the secondary one, so it would shut down, restart, fail again (I guess attempting to load a tretiary BIOS which this board does not have) and shut down again. At the next attempt the primary BIOS would load just fine and the cycle will begin anew (after each restart)
When it was switching like that it could cause plenty of confusion, since you could have different settings on your primary or secondary BIOS-es, and unless you open the case and look at the BIOS indicators, it's hard to figure out what is happening. From the outside it just looks like the system takes a little longer to load and occasionally restarts few seconds after boot without showing anything.
I got rid of the issue by flashing to the newer BIOS version. But you have tried to do that already (this could fail though - one time it decided to use the multi-update feature and reflashed my primary BIOS from the secondary one again, putting me back on the older BIOS version which brought the issue back). Furthermore, removing the battery should default the settings, removing the overclock (as I have mentioned, the problem seems to arise only when you overclock), meaning that it should have started working normally after that as well.
Still, the symptoms are very much like what I experienced, so I figured I'd post this and perhaps you'll find something of use in it

You dropped the HTT multi to 4x, good move. That caused me a bunch of headaches at first. The next move is drop the RAM to the 166 divider. Once the RAM is out of the way, work on the CPU.
Depending on what type of chip you have, and how well it OC's, you may or may not have to increase the vcore. I have a 3000+ Venice that will do 2500Mhz with the stock 1.376v, and a 146 Opty(San Diego) that will do 2750Mhz with the stock vcore of 1.376v. It all depends on the chip at this point. If it doesn't post, or boot, increase the vcore one bump. If that doesn't do it, then bump it again. I would go no higher than 1.5v to reach 2400 - 2600Mhz though...
Once the you have it running at a speed you are happy with, and have tested it for stabilty, you can then move on to playing with the RAM and its timings. For now though I would worry more about getting the CPU where I'd want it then the RAM.
The Neo2 is probably one of THE best s939 AGP boards out there, and they are capable of some really sick stuff...Keep trying, be patient, and good luck.

Chat problem with E5

I was using E63, chat was working perfect. Purchased an E5, where chat can not be configured for Gtalk or Yahoo (others i've not checked). During log in, it is not asking for access point & a message is coming "Temporary service problem. Try again later.[Code error:902]".
If somebody knows a trick, please help me out... I need chat not only for friend's purpose, but i use the same for business too.

Chat can be limited in some countries and by some operators, providing only support for some chatproviders,
This check is only done when you first setup and configure the chat client.
I would recommend you try another SIM card from another operator and see if you get more options. If you do, configure that chat you want with this SIM, then change back to your SIM card.
And observe that you need a SIM card in the phone to use the chat

Firefox 3.6.4 chat problems with facebook

Safe mode was the first thing I tried and the problem is still there. There's not much you can do unless the next patch fixes this one... ;-)
