Post Number No Longer Showing in New Forum

I had replied to one of Harm's posts in a CS4 thread, and then realized how OT that question was. Apologies to Jeff and the MOD's.
Harm, Eddie and others can still see the "post numbers" showing in the replies in the "new and improved" Adobe fora. I cannot.
I'm using IE7 (with updates, but not to IE8), and wonder if this is a limitation of my browser, an improper setting in my browser or an improper setting in my Adobe Forum display settings.
Being the old, status-quo guy that I am, I'll probably not run out and start trying to learn a new browser, if it's a limitation in IE, but at least I'd like to know. It's so easy to reference to an earlier reply with those numbers and mine are gone.
Thanks for taking the time to help the old guy find out where his "numbers" went, and sorry for going totally OT in the other forum.

Do you see any more of the link to the post in one that is missing the number? For example:

I paid to have my cell phone number show up when I call a landline. This worked great for a good while (maybe 2 years). It is no longer working.

What's the format of your video? That will give you a hint as to what plugin is failing (or missing).

Facebook inbox notifications are no longer showing with new OS 4.5

Hi all:
I have a Curve 8310 with ATT. Just downloaded the new os 4.5 and got the facebook reinstalled so that I can see the icon. However, now when I get messages through my facebook inbox, notifications no longer appear on the home screen. On fact, the new emails are not showing up at all. Any thoughts?

Go to your facebook on your pc and check your notifications. When I downloaded the 4.5 I had to reset all my notifications. Somehow it reset them! Let us know if that is it!

Issue with number/contact details showing on new iPhone

Hi I'm having an issue with numbers. Myself & my mum both have iPhones. My Mum had previous phone (not iPhone), she purchased an iPhone & ported her old number across. before she ported we were texting each other on the new iPhone number. Now she has ported her old number to iphone, when she texts me it still shows the number she got with iphone, not her contact name or original ported number which I have saved, however if she calls me it does show her contact name & not the number. When I text or call her contact in my phone she does get it, however message sends as txt message not iMessage (iMessage is active on both phones) hope this all makes sense. can anyone help at all?

Swipe down from the middle of the screen to open Spotlight Search then type Contacts. If it is in a folder the folder name will be to the right of the Contacts listing in search.
By default it is in the Extras folder on the second page.

I comment on controversial news articles, firefox no longer shows relevant news articles, when compared to the News section of IE it shows all news.

Open yahoo and click the News tab in IE, and do the same for Firefox. IE displays real news but Fire fox is now displaying a watered down news and absolutely nothing of a controversial nature.

hello dadjamey, firefox is just a browser and displays the site as it is received from a webserver (yahoo in your case) - if you have questions about the content served to you, you'd have to approach yahoo's support since only they control what news stories show up on their site.
things might be different between browsers when you are signed in to the site with an account on one of them but not the other...

Serial number no longer valid after new HD installed

I have a macbook that originally came with version 10.5 and I had Final Cut Studio 2 running fine on it. About a month ago it shut down and I was told it was a hard drive failure and the hard drive needed to be replaced. I had it sent in and replaced, but when it returned they had installed version 10.6 on it. Not a big deal i figured except that when I try to re-install FC Studio 2, it told me that I needed Rosetta in order to launch the install. I had Rosetta installed fine and now seemed to be up and installing. However, after I type in the serial number, it keeps saying that I have an invalid serial number. I have tried several times and still cannot get it to pass.
I do have this FCS already installed on my MacPro and had it installed fine on this Macbook until the hard drive failure. My question is, could this be getting hung up because it was installed on another hard drive already or could there be an issue with new OS?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. This is not an upgrade. It is the original version right out of the box. I was simply trying to re-install it after my hard drive was replaced. I understand the groups with letters and numbers and tried it several times looking for possible visual mistakes with no luck. I even tried entering it without the dashes and that was denied. Again, I have loaded this onto my macpro and this laptop before the hard drive failure with no problems. Perhaps a call to Apple is needed to verify the serial number?

There is no clear demarcation between posts. Posts are no longer numbered. "My Products" no longer showing up in posts

Just noticed this for many members.
When a post is made, "My Products" is no longer showing up at the bottom of the post like it used to.
I checked my profile and it shows My Products still listed there.
I see many people that are not showing either yet, some other members do have My Products showing.
Must be a glitch from last nights update?
Just now I see at the bottom of this new question there is are radial buttons to show your "Product"...
I clicked on one of the radial buttons and will see if this works.

When replying, the "My Products" are not showing for me.
Look below and you will not see any of the products in the reply.
Is this a change for the better?
Maybe we only need to see what the original poster has?
Any other thoughts?

Serial No. no longer shows in system profiler after new logic board..!

My Macbook had to go in to my Apple Service centre to get the random shutdown fault fixed. They fitted a new logic board and last night I noticed that the System Profiler no longer show the computers serial number. Instead it says "systemserialnumb" where before it listed the Macbooks serial number. Does anybody know whether this will affect my 3 year Applecare warranty as normally they check your machines warranty status by confirming the serial number? I have all the documents but would not normally carry them all if away from home.

Mort..thanks, at least now I know it has happened to other people and also that the serial number is also to be found under the battery which for repair and service purposes is good. I am a little surprised that the engineers don't routinely reset it at the time of repair though as it is one of the pretty relevant bits of information in the "about this computer" button.

I have over 50,000 photos. Events no longer show up. How do I create a new iPhoto folder like in the old days with iPhoto Manager?

I have over 50,000 photos in the current iPhoto Library. I need to download 3,000 more from trip to Spain. Can/should I make a new iPhoto Library? How do I do that?

1) I had the same problem bedeviling me for over a month
(with the Apple Store people unable to figure out a solution!).
It turned out that the solution was exceedingly simple and easy:

I have no idea how it happened, but like Asbjornu, "I had managed to sort the events "manually" (View > Sort Events > Manually) which hid the newly created events in-between my rather large amount of existing events. You need to go back to the person you bought it from. Sounds like they may have sold you phone that is not as described.

In the good old days of Snow Leopard, an open Finder folder had a border along the bottom of the window which could show the number of items in that window and the total available space on the hard disk or partition that folder resides on. That bottom border is gone in Lion and those two bits of information are gone with it. Is that what you're talking about? If so, I'd like to learn how to get it back too and "Show Item Info" is not the way.

You may have moved or removed content on your page or its possible you used the"Adjust Image" and over sharpeed one or more images.
I assume you mean it does not show up of new Chapter pages... have you checked the template?
Where you see the ? you need to either reduce teh box outline size - or drop anther copy of the original image onto it, it may fill the ? box or sit on top.... delete the ? box.
If its Chapter page only related, its better doing this in the template.
Is you image .jpg or .png?
