Postal code ASC order problem

Hi,
I have a drop down box which lists postcodes (UK address
codes) in ASC order. This all works fine, except the order is not
as I'd like:
e.g. The ASC listed postcodes displays like so:
KT1
KT10
KT11
KT12
KT16
KT18
KT2
I can see the list is ordered 'correctly' however I need it
to more logically, list as follows:
KT1
KT2
KT10
KT11
KT12
KT16
KT18
Is this possible using SQL or any other method ?

UK postcodes are particularly difficult to handle in this
way. If your
are using PHP, you could gather all results in a
multidimensional array,
and then use natcasesort() to reorder the results according
to postcode.
The alternative would be to use three columns instead of one
for the
postcode. You might call them postcode1, which has just the
initial
alphabetical characters; postcode2, with the number before
the break;
and postcode3, with the rest of the code. There may be a
better way.
Like you, I would be interested to hear of it.

I've spent days and nights.. creating a Book in Iphoto from my latest vacation.
Now when i'm finished i cannot order since my Postal Code(Zip Code) isn't accepted.
I live in Sweden and no matter what ZIp Code or variations of it i try (believe me i have tried) i cannot get past step2. I always get the dialog that i need to eneter a valid postal code.
I've searched the web and tried (just to get past the second step) postal codes for a few other countries, and the ONLY one working is when i try a US address and ofcourse select USA as the country.
I've tried with a new account, and with an existing account that works fine with itunes... Anyone have any ideas, or have i just wasted days creating a book i cannot order..

  • Clearing the the street,Postal code and city in partner tab at sales order

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement like in sales order header or Item, In partners tab, when they are selecting the particular partner function like CR and the customer number is 500, and if they press enter then automaticaly it fetches the name, street, postal code and city at the right side for that entry. My requirement is like for particular customer 700, they want to hide the customer address in that Partner tab while sales order creation VA01. If they select the partner function CR and customer 700, after pressing enter, it shouldn't fetch the automatic address of that customer. They just want the customer name and remaining fields like street, postal code, city should be blank.
Can you please let me know how to reach this requirement ate sales order creation or change level in partner function tab.
I test these exits EXIT_SAPLV09A_001 to EXIT_SAPLV09A_004 but no use. Let me know possible ways to achieve this?
    Any idea on these?
    Thanks in advance ,

    Hi,
This is happening because you have not maintained your data in sales order.
Billing document takes the reference of order and delivery document for taking the data.
Now if you donu2019t maintain your partner function in order nor in delivery then it wont be determine in billing document.
If you want ZZ to shown in billing document then you have to make that function visible in sales order.
While creating sales order it will take it from customer master data but when you are creating billing it wont search in customer master data it will search in sales order only.
You can do one thing make that function non modifiable in partner determination procedure.
So it cant be change in sales order.
But I want to know why you want that should not be visible in sales order.
Hope so I will be correct with my explanation.
    Regards
    Raj.

  • One time customer postal code in sales order

    hi
For the one-time customer, it is required to input the postal code in sales order. How to disable it? As I already disable it in customer master. pls advice. thanks

    Dear Friend,
The mandatory feilds in the customer Masters can be set to non mandatory in the account group sequence.
Go to transaction OBD2 account group change.
Then select your account group of your customer.
Tehn select the address feilds you will find the customizing of the entries.
Whether it is mandatory supperreses or optional entries.
Now you can make it optional entry.

  • Postal code in Farst Order Entry.

    Hi.
When making orders in FOE, normaly I use customer/phone-numbers, serching customer-accounts..
But somtimes postal-codes are the only way to search the customer-database.
My question: Is there any way to place a "postal code search field", next to the phonenumber-search-field in FOE?
I know I can search postal-codes via IPOS Seach Help Customer Master. But an dedicated search-field in the FOE, would be a lot easier.

  • Canadian Postal Code problem with Autofill

I have 2 problems with my Postal Code when filling out a form with Safari.
    1. It fills it out with zeroes and dashes
    2. Often the box cannot be filled in manually as it reverts to the zeroes and dashes.
Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Yes, the Canadian Postal Code ought to be displayed correctly if the site provider has made provision for it. Auto-fill retains past site information. Go to your Safari Preferences>Autofill and select the "edit" box next to "Other Forms". There you can remove the entire file, or do it selectively by highlighting on the specific sites. Quit Safari.
Then go back to your Address Book and enter your postal code again. Restart Safari and try some of the Canadian postal code compliant sites.
As far as the non-Canadian postal, don't know what to say. It either works or not. Perhaps, removing the old information and starting over might make a difference.

  • Using IMB Postal Code with LiveCycle Designer ES

I am trying to add an IMB postal code field to my form that auto-populates based on the 5 or 9 digit zip
the user enters.  I found the IMB filed and dragged it to the form.  Gave it the same name as the zip code field the user keys.  However, after I key in the zip code it returns the following error:
Invalid Barcode Value: 24551-3938 is an invalid value for barcodes of type USImb.
Can anyone assist with this issue?  It actually creates a IMB barcode if I ignore the error message and tab through but when I compare the IMB created to an actual one from some mail pieces I received using this address ... they are not the same at all.

    Hi,
Not sure why you are resolving the node (??), also I would not be inclined to include a period in the object name (.), maybe this is why you are resolving the node.
Also I don't see in the script where you are calling the instanceManager, in order to use the addInstance method.
Having said that the problem may be in the File > Form Properties > Defaults tab:
Check that Preserve script changes is set to Automatic.
Lastly is the form Reader Enabled? It would need to be for users with Reader to save the changes, including new instances of a repeating element.

  • I Can't make the Geocoder handle Canadian Postal Code properly

    Hi !
Does any one out there was able to approprietly setup Oracle Geocoder to properly return canadian postal code for a specific address in a dense urban area ?
In Canada, a single street segment can have two different post codes when located in dense urban areas such as Montreal. One on the left and one the right... so one for odds number and one for even numbers.
I don't see how to acheive this in the actual Oracle Geocoder table structure.
I see two solutions to my problem. In order to appropriatly return a canadian post code for a specific address, Oracle would need to
    (1) have the GC_ROAD_SEGMENT_CA table have a L_POSTAL_CODE AND A R_POSTAL_CODE field. Thus returning the good postal code knowing if the house_number is odd or even.
    OR
    (2) have the GC_ADDRESS_POINT table have a POSTAL_CODE field allowing to directly return the postal code associated with an address.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

    Hello,
    subscriber := sys.aq$_agent('sender', '[email protected]', NULL);
    should be
    subscriber := sys.aq$_agent('reciver', '[email protected]', NULL);
With your enqueue code the message is being made available for any default subscribers. As it stands the message will be propagated to the target queue and made available for the consumer sender.
So if you change your dequeue code to
    dequeue_options.consumer_name := 'SENDER';
it will consume the message that has been propagated.
    Thanks

  • According to postal code should block the purticular material for customer

In sales order According to postal code should block the purticular material for the customer.for this Can I go for User exit?can anyone explain how to do this?I m new to user exit.

You can use the material listing/exclusion in SD cutomizing, instead of writing a userexit. SPRO: sales-> basic functions -> listing/exclusion
Here you can define the criteria and make tables and accesses that manage this kind of problem without writing code.

  • Freight Cost based on postal code from alternative partner (occasional)

    Hi SAP experts!
In standard SAP, the freight cost is calculated based on the postal code from WE partner (goods receiver).
But my client have a situation where he uses an one-time customer as a goods receiver. In this cases the freight cost is being calculated wrong, because the SAP uses the tariff zone from goods receiver (WE partner).
Does anybody know if there is a standard partner function to be used in order to consider the zipcode from the one-time customer instead ?
Does anybody knows if there is a standard solution for this issue in SAP?
    Exemple:
sold to party - client X - postal code NNN
ship to party - client X - postal code NNN
goods receiver - client Y - postal code AAA
Then the freight must be calculated based on the postal code AAA.
    Thanks!

  • Vendor master error - Postal code ??

    Hi experts
I have tried to creat import vendor , not able to create .
Its throwing error like . "In Postal code a space must replace 5
    Message no. AM207"
Can anybody tel me how to rectify this , this vendor is for netherlands.??
Some body Tel me what mught be the problem??
    Thanks
    SAP_MM

the checking rule is defined by SAP, following the country specific rules for their address and postal code layout.
It is mainly used to check the entries made at vendor master, customer master, delivery address, plant adress etc. maintenance.
But interfaces to external systems like VERTEX (just an example, not valid for NL, but other countries like USA have as well specific checking rules) rely on accurate entered postal codes.
If you get business letters from a customer or vendor from NL, then they have usually printed the postal code in the right fashion, you just need to type it like it shown to avoid an error coming from the checking rule.

  • Need to pull postal code in SO from customer master instead on postlcd/city

I want  postal code to be pulled in sales order - partners tab for  bill to party from customer masater/ under PO box adress.
Currently it is pulling postal code/city from customer master/ under street address.
Is there any standard con-fig available for same ?
    please reply,
    Thanks and regards,
    Sujit

normally not but in asset reporting there seems to be a relation between structure and report-name (not tcode)
go to tcode se11 and search for structures with search term FIAA_SALVTAB* and you'll find some structures.
The last part of the name (RABEST, RABEWG ) is the link to the report (RABEST01, RABEWG01)
    hope that helps

  • Canadian postal code not taking in web forms

Seems like Safari changes a postal code entry like N1C to 1-1 and will not allow me to edit the 1-1. Any ideas?

    Hi Mark
I see the problem. The zip field is designed to accept only 5 characters. Tried it on Firefox too with the same result.
I believe Canada codes are at least 6 characters. Did Safari return an error when you sent the "contact us" info, while Firefox did not? If so, Firefox would have accepted the alpha characters, Safari not.
If that's the case, coding errors exist on the site which Safari would not accommodate, but Firefox probably would - it's much more forgiving with this type of poor coding.
Anyhow, good lesson in using another browser when rendering difficulties happen with Safari.
Thanks for the and Aloha from Big Island.
