Postal Code for portugal.

Hi Experts,
We are facing a production issue. When user enters the address details through the ESS he/she gets the error "Please enter a valid postal code".
User is trying to enter 2820-363 for country portugal district charneca de caparica. But there is no table entry in view V_T5PCP for 2820*.
The older postal code for portugal was 2815.
Request you to let me know whether we need to implement any SAP not for this or directly enter a series of postal code. Also let me know all the new set of postal code for portugal.

I guess this is updated by SAP by LCP update.
But you can download the official Postal Code file from:

From a quick search, some of the results that I've found seem to imply that Lebanese addresses can have postal codes, which consist of 8 numbers - the first 4 for the region, the second 4 for the building. Are you being forced to enter a post code ?
What sort of visa card are you trying to add, debit or credit ? If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? Display address omitted postal code for all countries in sapscript

Hi everyone
Does anyone know how to omit the postal code for all countries(eg. US ) when displaying address in sapscript form?
I want to avoid to display postal code even the country is US.
coz my firm doesn't want to show postal code.....
Also, how to use combination keys of PRIORITY parameter?
For example, if i want PRIORITY '1' 'S' 'L' 'N' 'C'
I cannot write like this as following....

The command ADDRESS - ENDADDRESS formats an address according to the postal standards of the
destination country defined in the parameter COUNTRY. The reference fields are described in the
structure ADRS. Both constants and symbols can be assigned to the parameters.

Diable postal code for one time customer

I want to disable postal codes in sales order for one-time customer. Normally it is required to input the postal code in sales order.
How to disable it?

Go to IMG, Financial accounting, Accounts receivable and accounts payable, Customer accounts, Master records, Preparations for Creating Customer Master Records, Define account groups with screen layout (customers).
Select one time customer account: CPDA (or CPD whichever is applicable)
Select Group: Address
select postal code and choose the appropriate entry like suppress / display

Filter on postal code for multiple postal code ranges

can anybody support me with your experience for the following requirement:
- Select multiple filters on zip code ranges (1 to 7) in order to make the segmentation of BP belonging
to for instance
zip code range 10000 - 12999 and 14000 - 15000 and 18000 - 19999 and 30000 - 40000 etc.

Hi,
assuming you talk about segmentation in CRM 7.0: you can select the filters and drag them on the Segmentation Basis / the staging area and choose "split". With this action you create a profile for every filter you use.

Validation table for region/sales district/postal code combination

Hi Folks,
Is there any validation table for region/sales district/postal code combination? As I am looking for some standard functionality where a user if puts a wrong zip code/ postal code for a specifc city or country while creation of customer master then system should not allow and throws any kind of error or warning message.
Please let me know if there is somethiong like this.
I have some failt idea that we have something in standard SAP where we get a pop warning where postal code-country and postal code-city combination does not exist.
Please let me know the transcation code and table name for that.

I'm not aware of any settings for this which include sales district. For the rest a few spots to look at:
-SAP NetWeaver>General Settings-->Set Country-Specific Checks (some controls for postal code per country)
-SAP NetWeaver>General Settings-->Set Country-Insert Regions (country to region ties)
---Flexible Real Estate Management >Address Management>Regional Structure/City File-->Cities (have not worked with this area but you'll see several nodes for dealing with cities here).

Automatic assignment of Partner Function (Dealer) based on Postal Code?

Hi Experts,
We are realizing a project in the Bathroom-Product Industry. Responsible for the service to the end-clients are authorized dealer. When creating a service ticket the responsible dealer has to be assigned automatically to the ticket on the basis of the postal code where the IBase (the product) is installed.
The process is:
1. The client is calling the Interaction Centre and first the IC Agent has to identify the account and the Installed Base (The installed base contains the postal code where the product of the client is installed) of this account.
2. An Interaction Record is created to record this inbound call.
3. Afterwards a Service Ticket is created as a follow-up Document of the Interaction Record. In the moment of the creation of the Service Ticket the correct dealer has to be assigned automatically to the Service Ticket (as a Partner Function not as a Service Organization) on the basis of the postal code of the installed base.
I have the following question! Which are the steps to assign automatically a Business Partner Function to a Service Ticket? We also need to create a Z-Table with the postal codes for which every dealer is responsible.
Example:
Dealer 1 is responsible for the postal codes: 08040 - 08045 and 08056 - 08059. If a client is calling and his product (Installed Base) is installed in Postal Code 08042 or 08054 the dealer 1 has to be assigned to the service ticket.
I hope I could make myself clear ;-)? Anybody can give me a hint how to do that? What are the basic steps?

Slightly similiar, originally being an R/3 customer before implementing CRM our dealer equated to sales office.
In the CRM Org model (PPOMA_CRM) in the attributes of the sales office we entered the Regions & Postal codes for that dealer (pain in the arse to do) and in CRM the sales office in the org creates a BP.
We used a org rule for the IR record based on country, region, postal code to determine the appropriate sales org, DC, div, and sales office based onthe zip code. We created a custom partner function to represent the partner number of the BP from the org model. Then we configured a custom relationship "ZORG" "Is partner of sales office" and went into the BP master and assigned the actual dealer number as a partner to BP from the org model that = sales office. From that we configured a custom access sequence to pull the actual dealer number from the org model office relationships.
We looked at territory management, but our dealer is an "org BP" and territory management appeared to want to drive to a person BP number.

I Can't make the Geocoder handle Canadian Postal Code properly

Does any one out there was able to approprietly setup Oracle Geocoder to properly return canadian postal code for a specific address in a dense urban area ?
In Canada, a single street segment can have two different post codes when located in dense urban areas such as Montreal. One on the left and one the right... so one for odds number and one for even numbers.
I don't see how to acheive this in the actual Oracle Geocoder table structure.
I see two solutions to my problem. In order to appropriatly return a canadian post code for a specific address, Oracle would need to
(1) have the GC_ROAD_SEGMENT_CA table have a L_POSTAL_CODE AND A R_POSTAL_CODE field. Thus returning the good postal code knowing if the house_number is odd or even.
OR
(2) have the GC_ADDRESS_POINT table have a POSTAL_CODE field allowing to directly return the postal code associated with an address.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

With your enqueue code the message is being made available for any default subscribers. As it stands the message will be propagated to the target queue and made available for the consumer sender.
So if you change your dequeue code to
dequeue_options.consumer_name := 'SENDER';
it will consume the message that has been propagated.

Vendor master data Postal code

Hi,
I am trying to create a new vendor in country Japan (JP).
Postal code settings : Length 7 Rule 2
But when I am creating a Vendor with postal code of length 7, system is automatically adding a hyphen '-' in between and throwing an error message "Postal code XXX-XXXX exceeds 7 characters. Message no. AM656".
I am not sure why is this happening so.

to a length of 8 for postal code
and the checking rule should be set to 9.

Can't Order Book. Postal Code not accepted

I've spent days and nights.. creating a Book in Iphoto from my latest vacation.
Now when i'm finished i cannot order since my Postal Code(Zip Code) isn't accepted.
I live in Sweden and no matter what ZIp Code or variations of it i try (believe me i have tried) i cannot get past step2. I always get the dialog that i need to eneter a valid postal code.
I've searched the web and tried (just to get past the second step) postal codes for a few other countries, and the ONLY one working is when i try a US address and ofcourse select USA as the country.
I've tried with a new account, and with an existing account that works fine with itunes... Anyone have any ideas, or have i just wasted days creating a book i cannot order..

Postal code length

Hi,
I got feedback form user that in Taiwan the postal code length has been changed from 3-digits to 5-digits, they are still under transition period but soon all of them will be using 5-digits postal code.
When we maintain 5 digits postal code in customer master, there is an error message appeared to change the postal code to 3-digits. I know the validation is reading the postal code setting from country-specific checks config (SPRO). But before I change the config I would like to check; does any one knows if SAP has released any patch to update the country-specific check config for postal code for country Taiwan?

Hi,
You should be able to change the Postal Code length in
SAP Web AS ->General Settings ->Set Countries->Set Country specific checks.
Here you can configure the postal code length according to your requirements for Taiwan.

does anyone have a manual how to integrate SAP postal code in PA30 and ESS scenario.
SAP does have postal code tables which by customizing can be integrated in SAP HCM.
I need to know which customizing i need to do to activate the postal functionality en the progam to read and updat the SAP tables with the postal codes and address data delivered by out national post host!

This solution is for NL country localization:
Activate NLADR feature with X; "For infotype Address Data (0006) this will result in the system checking the postal code for a given address."
The rest of what you need is in MP00064N include logic subroutines verify_address_nl.
